Our current speakers are 5 DEVINE ARTIS 15. We're looking for a replacement. I would be incredibly thankful to receive some recommendations!
One thing to keep in mind: - with all the chalk in the gym, we'd like them to be dust resistant. Is that a thing some speakers account for?
I would appreciate some suggestions for 5 speakers to replace the old ones, maybe in some different budget categories? Around 50 euros per speaker, 70, and 100. Maybe even more if you can make a convincing argument!!

This time I went for a retro look, lightly reliced. Lake Placid Blue nitro spray can finish (very light, so the wood would show up), ash body, walnut one piece neck. Gold foil mini humbuckers (but I have a slight suspicion that they are more Firebird style than mini humbucker) and gold foil Tele neck pickup. The controls are two three position switches (to have the ability to pick any combination of the pickups) and a passive EQ (treble and bass cut pots instead of standard tone) copied from G&L guitars. Original body shape. I'm delighted how it turned out.
And yeah, the neck is too long – it's a baritone. 🙂

2023.06.02 18:33 Drephemonte Fear of medication... can anyone else relate? Is this OCD?
I really want to get better and I feel like medication would really help my trauma symptoms. It's so difficult to live this way with the constant paranoia and the nightly panic attacks. I think I have developed an intense fear of drugs and medications. Whenever I sense them altering my mind or body, it makes me panic. It makes me feel like I don't have control over my mind or body anymore. I start to feel like nothings real and I get a strange disconnect from my surroundings. Then I mistake the fear as an allergic reaction or an overdose and I start feeling like I'm going to die. Sometimes I fixate so much on how I'm feeling that I kind of placebo myself into a spiraling panic. I really really want to get better but I get panic attacks after a sip of wine or a benadryl and it feels impossible. I don't know how I can ever feel better.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is this just trauma or could it be OCD? My friends have suspected OCD in me and if that's the case, maybe I need to start looking for resources that help people like that.

I am trying to make sure i have the newest drivers. Auto update says i have the latest drivers, but i dont think thats true.
the AMD website asks for what "version" of the R9 200 i have, but i have no idea and it snot listed anywhere?
One of these driver update / checker things says there is a driver from 2021, but you have to pay for the software to actually go and get it / download / update etc... which i refuse to do
can anyone help?

My brother had a cockatiel once but flew away and didn’t comeback. Now that I have a cockatiel, i do not want this to happen. Every time i am free i train my bird to fly to me (ascending, decending etc). When I am studying or resting, i let my bird stay at my room to do whatever it wants to do. I also try to sing and read essays to my bird. Are these activities called bonding? and do you have advice on other bonding activities that we can do?

I feel like a broken record, because I've been saying that in a lot of intros and what not. My best friend and I have been friends for a little over a year and a half now. We’ve never met in person, hell, we’ve never even had a phone call together. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen his face and heard his voice.
Still, I fell in love with him somehow. Talk every day and we are able to be entirely ourselves with each other. Despite the fact that we are still somewhat strangers. And I feel like I make my crush pretty obvious.
I’ve confessed my love for him twice. The first time I didn’t ask for a response, but the second time, a few months later, I did. He said to me that he had forgotten I had even confessed to him in the first place. He said he didn’t want a relationship with me out of fear of losing what we have right now. That he wanted our friendship to still be a safe space to talk about anything, even romance, so long as it’s directed at someone else.
His response was a few months ago and I’ve tried to move on since then. I’ve gone on multiple dates and even talk to him about them, gotten his advice about them. And vice versa. Eventually, after I mentioned that I might not be interested in an emotional connection with someone, he offered me a FBW sort of situation. I was just excited that he show me as attractive enough to be interested in something like that with me. So I said yes and I sent him a few photos. But I’m not excited anymore. I don’t like it as much as I thought I would.
How do I tell him I can’t do this without making a total fool out of myself?
Update: Based on advice I’ve gotten from other subreddits, I have spoken to him and explained that I was hurt by the situation. How I’m unable to separate my affection for him from sexual scenarios he wants.
He instantly apologized and said that he didn’t think about how it would affect me. He said he should have thought more about it before he came up with the offer, he said he never meant to hurt me and if I wanted he would forget all about the situation. Anything so that I can be comfortable with him again.
I told him I needed space and he said he would give it to me. My chest hurts so bad. It’s like the fucking nail in the coffin that he never cared for me in the same way. He never thought of me that way.
