What You Get:

MODULE 1

YOUR PROFITABLE PRODUCT IDEA

Designing a Blockbuster Hit Starts Here
The best products start with the best and most profitable ideas — which don’t happen by chance nor by waiting for lightning to strike.
It takes a proven process to zero in on the idea with the potential to fly off the shelves.
In this module, you’ll discover my Profitable Product Idea. You will:
  • Choose the best product and audience for you to profit from right now
  • Make sure your Idea passes all 7 Criteria of the Profitable Niche Checklist
  • Express your Idea in one simple phrase that attracts your target market in droves
  • Pre-validate there’s demand for your Idea in a way that automatically lines up your future customers
  • Create your Profitable Product Idea Blueprint so you have everything in one place
This process was developed over 7 years and 7,000 students, and can shave months or even years off your journey from idea to profit.
Whether you don’t have any ideas, or you have too many ideas, or you’re not sure whether your idea will work, your Blockbuster Hit Product starts here.
MODULE 2

YOUR IDEA TO MARKET BLUEPRINT

Turning Your Idea Into an Irresistible Offer
In this module, you’ll take your profitable idea and transform it into the kind of thing folks will line up to buy.
We call it your “Offer”, and it’s the scaffolding around your idea that makes it real. Elements such as:
  • Your blockbuster course name, your price point, your guarantee, bonuses and the reasons to buy now
  • The points of credibility that create massive buyer trust — even if you’re just getting started
  • Your uniquely valuable “process” — how you go about getting your students results (a huge selling point)
  • The social proof to start attracting paying customers immediately, even if this is the first time you’re doing this
The right offer can triple or even quadruple your sales, while the wrong offer will turn a great Idea into a ghost town.
By the end of this module, you’ll have the deep confidence that comes from knowing that everything you’re creating is exactly what your audience wants to buy.
Now you’ll be ready for Module 3, where we’ll start building!
MODULE 3

YOUR MVP LAUNCH

Creating Your Minimal Viable Product & Getting to Market Fast
By the end of this module, you’ll create just enough of your new program or course to be able to start making real, actual sales to real actual customers.
So many programs stop short of this critical step, and leave you stranded, wondering how to bridge the gap between theory and practice. That’s a huge mistake, because it’s critical to test the real world response to your offer before you create your whole course or product, while you still have time to make easy changes and pivots.
Some folks hit it out of the park on the first try, while others need to refine and adjust for a few cycles before they land on just the right thing. Either way, this process ensures you never waste months and thousands of dollars creating the wrong thing.
In this Module you’ll:
  • Use the “paint-by-numbers” MVP process to choose the exact pieces of your product and how they fit together
  • Finalize your Launch “Blueprint”, including the exact concrete steps to get to market FAST and start making sales straight away
  • Choose and deploy one of the 3 simple marketing & promotion campaigns to locate and find the people most likely to want to buy from you
  • Copy/paste from our pre-written campaign messaging templates to immediately have people wanting to know more (versus tuning out or scrolling past)
  • Follow the word-for-word sales scripts to confidently sell your MVP and start taking money even before the end of the module!
MODULE 4

SUPERCHARGE YOUR MARKETING

Reach Even More People & Make Even More Sales
Now that you’ve proven your offer by making some sales, our optional Module 4 is where you can take your marketing even further by stacking 2-3 campaigns together to create a supercharged, multiplier effect.
Whether you stack simple campaigns, requiring little-to-no technology, or more robust campaigns — this is how you realize Goal X. A whole lot more. Whatever that looks like to you.
In this Module, get ready to turn a handful of sales into an avalanche:
  • Get our EIGHT pre-written ready-to-go “Experience Marketing” Campaigns that you can just plug right in
  • Recieve my entire vault of pre-written scripts, emails, web page templates, sales & video scripts that you can take and customize or just use “as is” — they’re yours and they’ve generated literally millions of dollars for my other students
  • Create a Custom Campaign Stack that suits your dominant marketing style — whether you prefer to sell through 1:1 conversations, speaking to groups, or writing — so marketable feels easier than it ever has before
  • Recieve my entire vault of pre-written scripts, emails and web page templates that you can take and customize or just use “as is” — they’re yours and they’ve generated literally millions of dollars for my other students
  • Stand out with your marketing in a powerful, unique, fresh and engaging way that gets the attention of your ideal customers, which is 99% of the battle in today’s noisy marketplace, so you can make some real money
After that, we start to really dial up the “WOW” for your students…
MODULE 5

EXPERIENCE ESCALATION

Supercharge Your Results
Now that you’ve proven your product with real sales and you have a plan for reaching even more people and making even more money, this is where we pour fuel on the fire by “experiencifying” your course.
“Experiencification” is the process of stacking the 10 Core Experiences of The Experience Formula™ into every element of your Experience Product, to increase the effectiveness of your product by 10-30 times.
In this Module you’ll:
  • “Experiencify” your program with the 10 Core Experiences of The Experience Formula™ to create an engaging experience that works with (rather than against) the brain to get your customers “hooked” on taking action and getting results
  • Watch as your students spontaneously put down distractions and excuses and become “achievement machines”, focused on taking action, getting results and bringing more customers your way
  • Embed a powerful process for gathering success stories right into your course, so you can quickly have dozens if not hundreds of glowing testimonials (this is how I ended up with 1480 testimonials and counting for EPM!)

2023.06.05 15:48 Zephonix Passed my Cert SAP-C02 after second attemp, here is my experience

Hello guys, I just passed my test for the SAP-C02 certification on my second attemp. I used to take a look in this sub during my preparation and this helped me a lot, so i want to share my experience.
I took almost 2 months studying daily like 2-4 hours a day. Some weekends more or less. First attempt was after 1 month, for that month i did in Udemy the Stephane maarek Course, it was good and it was clear but i think i was missing more, so i bought from Whizlabs the practices test, did a lot of them almost always between 55% and 65%, everytime i got a wrong answer i used AWS documentation or internet to understand a little bit more. Because this test was a requirement for my job my boss told me to go give it a try even if i wasnt feeling prepared 100%, so i give it a go, i was not too much worried because i had the retake voucher from Pearson. For this first attemp a lot of AWS Organizations and IoT so i was not ready for this topics, score 663. Not a surprise.
After failing, i got Neil Davis course, let me tell you it is amazing, right to the point, a whole overwiew or services, good Hands on Labs to follow up (i didnt do them), good practice test, i think it was better that Stephane (sorry). And after finishing this course got the TD test. My experience with TD was not great, i mean it is a good pool of questions but they are so complicated and long to understand sometimes (as a ESL), the ones from the test are more simpler and Whizlabs is similar to the real ones, Also i notice a few answers that wasnt very good explained or correct, and there is not report/flag/comment on question to give advice to change them (i wont go again to check which ones were). After finishing, Did more from Whizlabs and scored 70%, 75%. With TD i scored like 65%. Also the finals test of TD you cant pause, or when you close the window the progress is loss, anyway.
For the 2nd attemp it took me almost 210 minutes (remember to activate the 30minutes more if your main language is not english.) i was feeling good but got some questions about AppSync, AppRunner, and other services that i did not know so i was a little bit worried.
My background is: I am a software engineer with 10 years of experience, maybe just 1 in Cloud directly, but almost 2 years ago i did the SAA cert, i used to study to change my role from on premise to Cloud but my work was not ready for thatm, now i am working now with AWS almost like 1 year ago.
Thanks!

2023.06.05 15:37 SevereContribution35 Game Matrix: Analysis of GDC 2017 "Playtesting: Avoiding Evil Data"

Game Matrix: Analysis of GDC 2017
Source: Playtesting: Avoiding Evil Data
Speaker: Adriaan de Jongh
This article offers a comprehensive analysis of the source video. While it closely follows the video's content, it also includes my own interpretations and expansions on the concepts presented, providing a deeper exploration into the art of game design.

Definition of Evil Data

1. What is Evil Data

In the domain of game design, playtesting is commonly considered a fundamental aspect. This crucial stage of the development process often encapsulates the game's climax, offering the first glimpse into the success or failure of its design. Playtesting can reveal if initial pitfalls transform into unforeseen advantages or if quick fixes metamorphose into unforeseen challenges. However, for numerous independent game designers, playtesting is viewed as a necessity tinged with apprehension—an inevitability that brings a confrontational moment of truth.
The reception of critique on a piece that one is deeply invested in is not typically the major challenge here. This hurdle, while potentially daunting at first, is surmountable with time and experience. The more significant issue at hand is the prevalent use of traditional playtesting methods by independent game designers. These conventional methods, such as sourcing playtesters, executing playtests, gathering feedback, and deploying analytics, often result in ambiguous and confounding data—often contradictory and challenging to interpret. This type of data is characterized herein as "evil data," a term that signifies its deleterious implications on the game design process.
Evil data not only complicates the process of game development but also diminishes the appeal of playtesting. It is, therefore, the objective of this discourse to examine the avoidance of evil data based on insights gathered from the development of seven different games over several years. This analysis will challenge some of the traditional wisdom surrounding playtesting and offer alternative perspectives. It intends to facilitate a more valuable and organized playtesting process, thereby mitigating the impact of evil data.
The discussion progresses in a structured format, beginning with the explanation of what constitutes evil data, its origins, how it can be circumvented, and how to conduct more value-oriented playtests. It is imperative to distinguish at this juncture that QA and playtesting, though seemingly related, are fundamentally different aspects of game development. While QA emphasizes the functionality of the game, playtesting concerns itself with the quality of the experience.
The concept of evil data is elucidated through an anecdote from a playtest of Hidden Folks. A confusion over the interaction mechanism of an in-game object highlighted the consequences of evil data. Misinterpretation of playtester feedback led to the implementation of a solution that detracted from the game's appeal, instead of enhancing it. This case underscores how misleading data can lead to misguided decision-making, thus making the game worse.
Evil data is a by-product of the playtesting phase that can be misleading, unclear, and distracting. The ramifications of evil data can range from erroneous decision-making, degradation of game quality, and extended development periods. Understanding and circumventing evil data are therefore integral to creating a successful game and optimizing the playtesting process.

2. Eight Factors Result in Evil Data

During playtesting of Fingal, John and Brenda Romero criticized the sexually suggestive gestures in the game at a public event
2.1 Physical Location
Evil data in playtesting can stem from multiple factors, with physical location being a significant one. The setting of the playtest profoundly influences the data obtained. For instance, during a playtesting session for the game Fingal, renowned designers John and Brenda Romero provided critical feedback at a public event, which might have differed significantly in a private, relaxed setting at home.
Similarly, games like Hidden Folks and Bounden recorded differing player behavior based on the context of play. Event-based playtests often resulted in quicker and less thorough play, which influenced the game design negatively. In the case of Bounden, this resulted in repetitive gameplay as the design was overly influenced by the first few minutes of play.
To mitigate the introduction of evil data due to the physical location, it's crucial to align the playtesting environment with the game's intended setting, be it a home, a party for local multiplayer games, or other suitable locations. Hence, physical location plays a critical role in achieving accurate, useful playtesting feedback.

Different types of players have different understanding of the dialog boxes in the game
2.2 Tester Diversity
The diverse nature of potential players necessitates an expansive testing demographic in game design. During the early playtesting of "Hidden Folks", distinct reactions based on gaming background underscored the importance of this diversity. Self-identified gamers and non-gamers perceived additional elements in the game, such as dialog boxes, differently. This disparity in interpretation extended to other elements and demographics, such as age and gaming habits.
To mitigate this 'evil data', playtests should not be limited to a specific group. Everyone, irrespective of their gaming background or demographics, can offer valuable insights. Expanding the testing group to include individuals from different backgrounds, gaming experience, age groups, and cultural backgrounds enhances the understanding of how diverse players interact with and perceive the game. This diversified feedback provides a more comprehensive and accurate representation of potential player responses, leading to improved game design and development.

Don't explain anything
2.3 Your Introduction
The third aspect pertains to your game introduction. A common error among independent game developers is a full game briefing, encompassing story, controls, and objectives before allowing testers to engage with the game. This approach is detrimental as it potentially overlooks vital stumbling blocks that players may encounter without such instructions.
In order to circumvent this error, it's beneficial to eschew exhaustive introductions. Allow testers to independently navigate the game, thus mimicking the actual player experience. Such a strategy provides valuable insights on user-interface, control, and game introductions.
However, disclosing that the game is still under development could alleviate tester stress and encourage honest feedback. The aim is to observe where testers encounter difficulties without any pre-conceived instructions, thereby ensuring authentic data collection.

2.4 Surface Problems
The fourth point is 'surface problems'. These are challenges within the game design that are noticeable and yet frequently overlooked due to their persistent nature. An example of a surface problem might be the variability in difficulty across different player types or the excessive focus on one detail, such as a character's jump, neglecting broader concerns like the number of controllers required for multiplayer engagement.
These problems, whilst seemingly inconsequential, can lead to negative player experiences. Over time, repeated exposure to these issues can cause a sort of blindness among developers, thus neglecting crucial facets of the gaming experience.
To circumvent the rise of evil data from these issues, developers should aim for holistic player experience evaluation. Avoid testing with a narrow focus, subdivided playtests, or a specific hypothesis. Implement frequent playtesting to generate comprehensive data, enabling the identification and mitigation of overlooked surface problems.

Overlap of game patterns can be quickly fixed during testing
2.5 Alterations Between Playtests
The fifth point involves a somewhat contentious practice of altering game builds between playtests. Issues can occur during playtests that affect players' experiences, for instance, the game's layering problems or an unintended default setting screen. These small glitches, although quick to fix, can impact the player's engagement and the extracted data, causing players to potentially abandon the game earlier.
Contrary to conventional advice among game developers, this issue can be mitigated by making changes to the game build during playtesting sessions. Shifting targets or disabling certain features between tests can greatly enhance the value of these sessions. This practice of adapting and amending can potentially lead to a more efficient resolution of these impediments.

Oversized UI blocking the screen
2.6 Feedback
The sixth consideration pertains to the interpretation of testers' feedback. Testers often express their sentiments regarding aspects they appreciate, those they do not, and elements they fail to comprehend. However, the game designer's task involves sieving through the assorted remarks to isolate the fundamental issue. Testers may articulate perceived problems that are misrepresentations of the core problem.
For instance, an issue with the UI in the initial version of 'Hidden Folks' illustrated this conundrum. Many testers suggested the targets should not constantly remain on the screen, leading to a modification that allowed the UI panel to be hidden. While no further complaints were raised, hardly any testers used this feature. Eventually, it became evident that the issue was not the constant presence of targets but the UI panel's substantial size obscuring the screen.
This example accentuates the importance of discerning the underlying problem from the provided feedback. This feedback filtering process is a crucial skill for effective playtesting. Thus, designers should delve into the 'why' behind testers' comments to better understand the concerns raised.

Traditional ratings can be insufficiently instructive
2.7 Surveys
The seventh facet pertains to surveys, quintessential sources of secondhand data. Traditional ratings can be insufficiently instructive, not providing the clarity needed to address specific game issues. A one-star review, for instance, provides no substantive guidance on how to improve level-3 gameplay, leaving game designers to hypothesize about potential solutions.
Furthermore, open-ended survey questions often result in problem-solving suggestions that may not reveal the genuine root of the problem. An example includes players who struggled with level-3 not because of difficulty in finding 'John,' but due to the unrecognized ability to drag a car that would reveal 'John.' No suggestion in the feedback directly hinted at this core issue.
Moreover, player perception of the game often evolves during gameplay, resulting in correspondence that reflects the emotions and frustrations experienced towards the end of play sessions. Thus, to mitigate the risk of unhelpful secondhand data from surveys and questionnaires, other more labor-intensive yet reliable methods of gathering player feedback should be employed.

Quantitative analysis cannot explain the reasons behind the data
2.8 Online Playtesting
The eighth dimension of our discussion pertains to online playtesting, a process often rife with evil data, which implies misleading or unhelpful information that may lead to misguided game design decisions. Developers often solicit feedback from colleagues, friends, or beta testers. However, the interpretive ambiguity of the resultant feedback can distort the understanding of game design challenges.
There are various strategies for eliciting useful data from online testers, yet each harbors its own pitfalls. Direct questioning is the most straightforward approach; however, it tends to yield the most unhelpful, secondhand data. The feedback derived from this method is often retrospective and solution-oriented, lacking specificity and failing to illuminate the underlying problems. Hence, we advocate a shift away from this method due to its generally lackluster quality.
Game analytics is another option, although it also presents hurdles. For instance, to leverage analytics effectively, developers must first hypothesize what they're attempting to understand. It can reveal quantitative measures such as the time taken to find a target, but it fails to elucidate the reason behind the measure. Therefore, designers are still left guessing - a practice synonymous with evil data.
Another prevalent analytic technique is funnel analysis, tracking player progression from level to level. While it can showcase where players drop off, it, again, does not explain why, leading us back into the realm of guesswork.
A more spatial analytic approach is heat maps, offering a more granular view of player interactions. However, they still fall short of observing actual gameplay. Gameplay recordings, on the other hand, offer a closer approximation to a first-hand experience. While such recordings still contain some evil data, they allow developers to see what the players do and hear their concurrent comments.
Despite the potential pitfalls, gameplay recordings can be a valuable tool for extracting information about level flow, timing, and other specific gameplay elements. However, the requirement for technical setup may deter some potential testers, particularly those less tech-savvy. It also necessitates substantial investment in time to review the footage thoroughly.
In conclusion, each method of gathering online playtesting data harbors potential for generating evil data. Recognizing and navigating these potential pitfalls is a critical skill for developers seeking to understand and improve their game design effectively.

3. Organizing Playtests with Minimal Effort

3.1 Playtesting Overhead and Strategies to Minimize It
Despite its importance, playtesting can be a time-consuming and resource-intensive process. It involves recruiting testers, setting up testing sessions, collecting and analyzing data, and implementing changes based on feedback. This overhead can be a significant burden, particularly for small development teams or those with tight schedules or budgets.
However, there are strategies to minimize the overhead associated with playtesting. One approach is to streamline the recruitment process. This could involve maintaining a pool of potential testers who can be called upon as needed, rather than recruiting new testers for each session. Another strategy is to automate data collection and analysis where possible. For example, developers could use software tools to track player behavior during testing sessions and generate reports.
Furthermore, developers can prioritize playtesting efforts based on the stage of development and the nature of the game. Early in development, it may be more important to test core mechanics and gameplay loops, while later stages might focus more on content, balance, and polish. By focusing playtesting efforts where they are most needed, developers can make the most of their resources.

Use of Email Templates
3.2 The Use of Email Templates and Reminders
Communication is a crucial aspect of playtesting. Developers need to communicate with testers to arrange testing sessions, provide instructions, and gather feedback. This communication can be time-consuming, particularly when dealing with large numbers of testers.
One way to streamline this process is to use email templates. These can be used to send standardized communications to testers, saving time and ensuring that all necessary information is included. For example, an invitation to a testing session might include details of the time and location, instructions for accessing the game, and information on what the developers are looking to test.
In addition to email templates, reminders can be used to ensure that testers are aware of upcoming testing sessions and any actions they need to take. These reminders can be automated, reducing the administrative burden on developers and helping to ensure that testing sessions run smoothly.

3.3 Alternative Playtesting Structures
While traditional playtesting sessions, where testers play the game under the supervision of the developers, are valuable, there are alternative structures that can provide different insights and reduce overhead.
3.3.1 Remote Playtesting
Testers play the game in their own time and provide feedback via email or an online form. This approach can be less resource-intensive than traditional sessions, as it does not require a physical location or the presence of developers. It also allows for more flexible scheduling, which can be beneficial when dealing with testers in different time zones or with varying availability.
3.3.2 Group Playtesting
Multipletesters play the game simultaneously and discuss their experiences. This can provide insights into the social dynamics of the game, reveal how players learn from each other, and generate a wider range of feedback. It can also be a more efficient use of resources, as feedback from multiple testers can be gathered in a single session.
3.3.3 Longitudinal Playtesting
The same testers play the game over an extended period. This can reveal how the player's experience evolves over time, how players engage with long-term goals or progression systems, and how retention and replayability factors play out. While this approach requires a longer-term commitment from testers, it can provide deep insights that are not possible to obtain from single-session playtests.

Highlights of the talk

4. Conclusion

The insights gleaned from effective playtesting can be a game-changer in the development process. They provide a unique perspective on the player's experience, revealing how players interact with the game, what they enjoy, and what frustrates them. This understanding can inform design decisions, ensuring that the game delivers a satisfying and engaging experience. Therefore, it is highly encouraged for game developers to apply these insights in their work. By avoiding evil data, organizing playtests with minimal effort, and leveraging the strategies discussed, developers can enhance the effectiveness of their playtesting process. This not only reduces the effort required but also leads to a better player experience, ultimately contributing to the success of the game.

2023.06.05 15:36 Key_Job_253 GRE (V 162/ Q 163/ AWA 4.5) - massive thanks to Gregmat

I religiously followed Gregmat's 2-month study plan for 7 weeks. I hadn't taken any standardized exams for almost a decade so it was dreadful at first but the Gregmat course was truly a lifesaver.
Per Gregmat's advice, I only used ETS materials:
Study schedule-wise, I work full-time but managed to find 3-4 hours a day to study by waking up 6AM and returning to study at 8PM every night. And of course, weekends were all about test prep. Typical weekdays looked like this for 7 whole weeks and I did one practice test each Saturday or Sunday.
It was my first try and I might retake it as my scores are around average for my dream schools, but I'd like to take some break first and shift my focus to other parts of the application for now.
To those who wonder if Gregmat's worth it, I'd say go for it with 100% confidence. Don't waste time and money, you have other stuff to worry.
P.S. As kindly suggested in the course, most of the aforementioned materials are available online ;)

Mold in your home could be fatal. Mold will grow anywhere there is moisture over a lengthy period of time. Mold spores have the ability to infect practically any material. Mold can start forming in as little as 48 hours.

Mold could cause damage to both the inside and outside of your property. However, the risk to your own health is greater. This is why, if you notice mold in your home, you must act immediately.

  • Poor indoor air quality caused by mold growth is easily remedied by having your property inspected for mold. The forms of mold that might grow in your home may surprise you. Mold evaluations can help you identify probable sources of moisture that may be causing mold growth.
  • Knowing what is growing in your home will allow you to address the problem more efficiently and eliminate the possibility of mold growth.
  • You should also have your home tested to ensure its structural stability. Mold growth may weaken the strength of your walls, floors, and other vital house components. If you do not address the mold problem as soon as possible, you may suffer costly foundation damage.

2023.06.05 15:23 GC-Gittiwilo Why in the world are these not options?

After all the years this game has been out, it lacks such simple things that could be implemented so easily. I am aware that the developer team is small compared to others, but adding the following options literally takes minimal effort, yet better the game atmosphere extremely (assisted by AI):
- Allow players to access the training area while in matchmaking: Implementing a feature that enables players to enter the training area while waiting for a game, especially during ranked queues or when experiencing longer matchmaking times, could help alleviate boredom and frustration. This would allow players to practice their aim, test load-outs, or experiment with champions while they wait, making the overall experience more enjoyable and productive.
- Expanded Customization Options: Introduce additional customization options to allow players to personalize their gameplay experience further. This could include features such as customizable crosshairs, the ability to change the color scheme of the user interface, and the option to customize the appearance of certain in-game elements.
- Introduction of a Ping System: Implementing a ping system in Paladins would greatly enhance communication and coordination between teammates. The ping system could allow players to quickly and easily convey information, such as enemy locations, objective focus, item requests, or danger warnings.
- Streamlined Quick Chat System: Revamp the current quick chat system in Paladins to provide a more efficient and user-friendly experience. Instead of having an extensive list of options that require multiple key presses, implement a system similar to Rocket League's quick chat.
In this revised system, players would press a designated key (such as 1) to open a specific category of quick chat options, such as directions or callouts. Once in that category, players could then use numerical keys (1 through 4) to quickly select and send predefined messages related to that category.
For example, pressing 1 would open the directions category, and subsequent key presses of 1 through 4 would allow players to quickly send messages like "Go left," "Go right," "Follow me," or "Defend here."
This streamlined approach would reduce the number of key presses required to convey specific messages, making the quick chat system more intuitive and responsive. It would enable players to communicate important information swiftly, without interrupting their gameplay flow or relying on extensive text chat.
By adopting a more efficient quick chat system, players could effectively coordinate with teammates, strategize, and respond to in-game situations promptly, resulting in a smoother and more enjoyable gaming experience in Paladins.
- Removal of Crosshair Color Change: Consider removing the option for the crosshair to change color when hovering over an enemy player in Paladins. This change aims to address the potential misuse of external programs that utilize the color change as a triggerbot mechanism.
By eliminating the feature altogether, external programs that rely on the crosshair color change to automate shooting actions would become ineffective. This removal would prevent players from gaining an unfair advantage through the use of triggerbot programs that can go undetected by traditional anti-cheat systems.
To maintain fairness and integrity within the game, it is crucial for the development team to actively combat cheating methods and continuously improve the anti-cheat measures. Regular updates and monitoring for new cheating techniques would help ensure a level playing field for all players.
By removing the crosshair color change over enemy players, the development team would take a proactive step in discouraging and mitigating the misuse of external programs, contributing to a more fair and enjoyable gameplay experience in Paladins.

Hi! Does anyone know the policy on sending a private in basic a portable charger? I did already get the green light to send it by a former DS that i know, but was wondering if anything special needs to be done regarding how it is sent? Thanks in advance.

I'm going to transitioning from the Navy to the Army via an interservice transfer. I have four years, a deployment, and a lot of memories under my belt. I am electing to come back in as an O-1 into the Army as I have no interest in the limited job prospects that an O-3 with no Army experience would bring me, and frankly I don't give a shit -- it's just 4 years. My (fairly promising, at least based on what the Army side said) goal is to eventually be infantry.
Coming in as a new Army officer, what should I expect, both from the position of coming from a different branch and generally as a "new guy" Army officer?
What stuff (most likely) stays the same coming a ship, specifically ship-life? What changes the most?
How best can I take care of my people while still accomplishing the mission? I know this looks very different between branches. It's always a delicate balance.
What does the "daily grind" of a combart arms community look like? What's the "unnecessary BS day-to-day" that you guys get up to? (I can think of plenty of examples in the Navy, but I'm not sure they translate 1:1).

Im 25 with a bachelors in CyberSecurity, also an Eagle Scout. Have not done much volunteer or team leadership since then. Nor do I have much work experiance.
Am I too uncompetitive for an OCS slot for 17X?
I spoke to a recruiter who mentioned going enlisted at E4 with 17C, then after 1 year of training and 1 of actual work, applying for OCS then.
Is that a realistic scenario or classic recruiter talk getting my hopes up in order to boost elistment numbers?
Prior medical history includes inactive IBS + depression from a couple years back.
Also, what are the timeframes for getting in with both of these options?

Is it worth getting Emt certified or Paramedic certified before going Army? I got DQ at meps and was told I need to wait a year due to medication I was on last year. I'm trying to find something to fill my time for when I'm able to enlist next year. Is this a good idea or a waste of time?

I have been recently promoted, and clothing and sales is currently out of stock of my current rank, so I am unable to update my AGSU. We have room and uniform inspections soon, and my first line is attempting to make me wear my AGSU with incorrect rank. I have been looking through AR670-1 as well as AR700-84 trying to see if there is a reg against this, but have been unsuccessful in finding one. If there isn’t, I’ll deal, but I’m not too keen on wearing a previous rank. Any help backed by regs would be appreciated

I’m going National Guard. I’m still working through the beginning process with my recruiter. Here’s the catch: I wasn’t born in the US. I was born in Kazakhstan.
I was never naturalized because when I was adopted into my family in 2002, the Child Citizenship Act passed in 2000 stating that the amendment is “to provide for the automatic acquisition of U.S. citizenship when certain conditions have been met.” — I have met these conditions and am a legal citizen of 22 years (Section 320 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. This amendment states that I also do not need a certificate of citizenship, which I never applied for as I legally do not need one.)
I have a passport, a social security card, a legal photo ID and a birth certificate. I DO HAVE a permanent resident card, but it expired years ago. I was a baby when my parents got it and they never renewed it. However, I am a US Citizen. I’ve lived here my entire life. The problem is, my recruiter insists that I must have that Permanent Resident Card up to date. I would do it in a heartbeat, but it costs $500.
Why is my passport, ID, SS card or birth certificate not enough to prove my citizenship? I’m frustrated and my parents are getting short with me constantly asking about it.

Kind of a situational question. My wife is scheduled for C Section June 21st and it looks like I may get PCS orders before then. If I do, and the kid comes, what do I do? Soonest my wife’s doc says she can move is 6 weeks postpartum and my wife can’t look after our first kid and newborn while she recovers from surgery. Is there anything I can do to report closer to the end of baby leave? I’m a geobachelor.

I just have a couple questions about how having a GED will affect my enlistment. I've heard it makes you ineligible for bonuses, but what about contract options? Could I still get an Option 4 contract? Option 19? If not, how many college credits would I need to move into the Tier 1 education category?
also, how do you increase your chances of going to certain schools (Airborne, Air Assault, Ranger, etc) if it's not in your contract? Going in as a 68W (Combat Medic) if that makes a difference

Im a dumbass and made and said a lot of stupid ass shit that some hater who had it out for me has been basically (not really) 'blackmailing' me with that was on my laptop (private, never uploaded) which he hacked into . It was a bunch of questionable shit I said that basically makes me paranoid reasonably that I could possibly be court martial'd but I was never arrested or anything, and I'm sure the guy would upload it again if I joined the Military just to tarnish my good name. I said all this when I was 18 , but basically this dude came to my house and threatened my family with a knife and I responded, 'not so good' , and as a result, I was basically 5150'd and had lied to the people saying I was suicidal resulting in a medical documentation which has made me fearful of ever going to MEPS. So at the time I was 'isolated' so in attempt to expose the fact that there was a legitimate danger I reasonably tried to court attention on Twitter and basically did and said everything that could ever allow me to hold a security clearance before deleting it.
My perception of the event was that he was threatening my family with a knife, but to the outside world, he simply slashed my families tires. Basically he baited me and fell for it. There was much more to the story but if I could go back in time I probably would not have reacted the way I did but I was 18 and my mind was barely developing.

I was 5150'd and I was told I could never hold public office and I am barred from the Medical field . This of course was a lie, but it's BASICALLY on my Medical record and it's a huge red flag. So naturally, unable to join the Military, I was unable to complete my mission and of course, was put on medication for some time (7 months) until I can figure out what to do. So I been working warehouse jobs ever since that day . I am 23 years old now, the incident happened when I was 18. I was and still am a cross country runner who is fit and healthy , who can complete the physical requirements just fine but the 'Moral' and 'Medical' is what's preventing me from joining, open to debate. I haven't made the same dumb mistake of reacting to my families tires being slashed since and learned from that experience .

Obviously the Police knows what was on my laptop because this dude went around with the unauthorized material he was not allowed to have and actually put the content in DVD's around the city hoping someone would pick it up and read it , and I actually worked at a warehouse which actually had a police officer who worked there at the warehouse to check the hard drives for CP (i dont know the deal about that) , and he found the very same DVD filled with the content of my basically unhinged responses that I never uploaded to the internet .

Basically this dude mentally ruined my life but I wasn't the only 1 he has done this to, he has hacked into multiple people's laptops and slashed other people's tires before and distributed information and he has been arrested in the past .

I was wondering if I could be court martial'd for unprofessional conduct before I even join the military or am I just overthinking this? I basically had this huge 4 hour clip of a rant about his twitter account on my laptop that was perfectly constitutional legal but if you took things out of context it sounds like something that would have me arrested if I was in the military , and I never uploaded it, nor planned to. maybe it's just all in my head but as you can imagine , the real problem isn't my speeches that were on my laptop but the 5150'd , which was at the time and information I had at my disposable,a completely reasonable reaction to a violent threat.

I recently graduated college and am looking for advice in terms of what I should expect/request in my contract for 68W MOS. I got my B.A. in cellular biology in the beginning of May and have been set on enlisting since my junior year; now that I'm in the last couple of steps with my recruiter before going to MEPS, I wanted to know if there was anything I should ask for based on my scores/degree (520 MCAT, 99 ASVAB, 146 GT) in terms of rank or guaranteed admission to schools (such as Airborne) coming in. I am looking at the 2-year contract as of now because I do want to apply to medical school down the line. If I enjoy my time, I am open to staying longer in the Army. However, there are some characteristics I currently need to work on that I know enlistment will provide (as opposed to OCS which would mean an extended contract) in addition to education benefits. Also, the alternative would have been doing a gap year in a lab or clinic which doesn't pay much better and is something I have done my fair share of. Any help is appreciated; thank you.

This is kind of a weird question but i really want to join the army but my family is telling me that it’s impossible for me to join because unfortunately my parents passed by suicide and that alone will disqualify me. I've always had a draw to service, but my athletic opportunities usually kept me from it. Out of high school, I had the opportunity to play college baseball and passed up on trying the academy route. Once I got halfway through college, I wanted to try ROTC, but I was a starter on the baseball team and balls deep in a mechanical engineering course load, so it didn't seem feasible to add to my plate.
Now, I'm going on 24 with 2 years of experience as an ME in product development. Is there a military route for someone like me who does have a college degree, but is beyond the point of an ROTC college program? Is my specific degree useful for the military?

I'm joining the Army soon, within a month or two. I've come up with an MOS list I made based on what I'm interested in (this is NOT a list of my available jobs based on my ASVAB score, just some jobs that sounded interesting based on the field I was looking into). I was mostly considering Logistics and Supply, but I am open to other potential fields, and jobs that aren't in the list below. Like I said, I want to do something in logistics and supply, but more so, just something non-combative that allows me to travel to most bases. What do you guys think about it? Any recommendations? I do plan to do something in law enforcement after I get out, but my MOS does not have to relate to that. Here is the list. The first two are the ones I'm currently considering, and the ones in parentheses are the ones I'm interested in.
(Cargo Specialist 88H)
(Unit Supply Specialist 92Y)
(Automated Logistics Specialist 92A)
(Ammunition Specialist 89B)
Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist 89A
(Corrections/Detention Specialist 31E)
Culinary Specialist 92G
Medical Logistics Specialist 68J
(Military Police 31B)
(Motor Transport Operator 88M)
Petroleum Supply Specialist 92F
Transportation Management Coordinator 88N

also, how do you increase your chances of going to certain schools (Airborne, Air Assault, Ranger, etc) if it's not in your contract?

1. Act Promptly:

When you encounter data loss, it is crucial to take immediate action. Delaying the recovery process can increase the risk of permanent data loss. Avoid using the affected device to prevent overwriting the lost files. Refrain from installing or running any data recovery software on the same drive, as it may hinder the recovery process.

2. Identify the Cause of Data Loss:

Understanding the root cause of data loss is essential for formulating an appropriate recovery strategy. Common causes include accidental deletion, formatting errors, virus attacks, software malfunctions, hardware failures, and physical damage. By identifying the cause, you can choose the most suitable recovery method.

3. Select the Right Recovery Method:

Depending on the nature of data loss, different recovery methods can be employed:

a. Software-Based Recovery:

In cases of accidental deletion or formatting errors, data recovery software can often help. These tools scan the storage device for traces of lost data and facilitate recovery. Notable software options include Recuva, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard, and TestDisk.

b. Professional Data Recovery Services:

When dealing with severe physical damage or complex software issues, it may be necessary to seek professional data recovery company such as;;
  1. East Africa Hi Tech Solutions,
  2. Data Recovery Kenya &
  3. Data Recovery Nairobi.
These specialized experts possess the expertise and specialized equipment required to recover data from damaged or inaccessible storage media.

c. DIY Hardware Repair:

If the data loss is due to hardware failure, such as a malfunctioning hard drive, it may be possible to attempt a DIY repair. However, exercise caution and attempt this option only if you possess the necessary technical skills. If in doubt, it is advisable to seek professional assistance.

Advanced Data Recovery Techniques:

Implement Preventive Measures:

Preventing data loss is always preferable to recovering lost data. Here are some proactive measures to protect your data:

a. Regular Backups:

Establish a consistent backup routine to safeguard your important files. Utilize external hard drives, cloud storage services, or backup software to create regular copies of your data.

b. Surge Protection and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS):

Invest in surge protectors and UPS devices to shield your devices against power surges and outages that can lead to data corruption and loss.

c. Robust Security Measures:

Maintain up-to-date antivirus software to protect your data from malware, ransomware, and other malicious threats.

Safeguarding Recovered Data:

Once you have successfully recovered your lost data, it is essential to take steps to protect and preserve it:

a. Multiple Backup Locations:

Create redundant backups and store them in different physical or cloud-based locations. This minimizes the risk of future data loss due to unforeseen circumstances.

b. Organized File Management:

Adopt a systematic approach to file organization and naming conventions. This helps maintain an organized file structure and reduces the likelihood of accidental deletions or data loss.

Data Recovery Best Practices:

  • Handling Physically Damaged Drives: Learn how to handle and transport physically damaged drives to avoid further harm and increase recovery chances.

Conclusion:

Experiencing data loss can be distressing, but with the right strategies and techniques, successful data recovery is often achievable. Acting swiftly, identifying the cause of data loss, and selecting the appropriate recovery method are vital steps in maximizing the chances of recovery. Additionally, implementing preventive measures to safeguard against future data loss is essential. By mastering the process of data recovery outlined in this comprehensive guide, you can confidently address data loss incidents

2023.06.05 15:13 IntenseMD Any tips for re-reading ?

I have my exam in 3 weeks, and I'm starting to revise all the subjects I studied throughout these past 3 months. At first, I did my best to practice with spaced repetition, but I had to drop that around 2 weeks ago because the amount of content to learn was so large. I did not have the time or energy to keep up with making and studying my flashcards (sadly, there were no pre-made decks for this exam since nobody uses Anki in my country).
I feel like I learned all the content, but there is so much data that requires plain memorization. I have a hard time moving from one subject to the next because I feel like nothing sticks in my head.
I was planning on reading the subjects in the morning and doing practice tests in the afternoon. However, if someone has any advice for while I am reading the subject, I would be grateful.
English is not my first language so apologies if there is something wrong with my write up

2023.06.05 15:12 Outrageous-Promise86 Feedback Please!

Hello fellow Florida Bar Exam Redditers,
Sending you all positive energy as we study for this exam! It's been a comfort to read through folks posts as I am feeling many of the same things you are.
I was wondering if I could get some feedback on the way I'm currently approaching bar prep. I'm feeling very overwhelmed and lost, and would appreciate anyone who takes the time to leave a response. Apologies in advance for the lengthy post.
I know people say that memorization shouldn't click until the last two-three weeks, but then I also see advice that says to focus on actually understanding what is being taught and not just checking the boxes of bar prep programs. I'm also the type of person that likes to memorize as I go, and I've heard a lot of advice along the lines of "do what has worked for you before." I think I've found a good approach that works for me, but just wanted to get feedback and see if folks spotted any red flags in this approach.
So, I've been studying two FL topics a week and one MBE topic a week. Here is my sample schedule for this week, where I'm studying FL Civil Procedure, Federal Civil Procedure, and Family Law:
Monday: Watch all of the Themis videos for FL Civil Procedure, Federal Civil Procedure, and Family Law just to fill out the outlines.
Tuesday: Memorize FL Civil Procedure and do practice problems
Wednesday: Memorize FL Civli Procedure and do practice problems
Thursday: Memorize Federal Civil Procedure and do practice problems
Friday: Memorize Family Law and do practice problems
Saturday: Review and practice essays, do practice problems
Sunday: Review and practice essays, do practice problems

I'm planning on doing a similar format each week, all that would change is the subjects. I would put more emphasis on the FL subjects each week since it seems those MC are a bit trickier than MBE. I know that I won't have 100% memorization of these subjects by the end of each week, but I'll be finished with going through the videos for each subject by July 7, and from that point, will focus on doing practice tests and focusing on weaker areas/honing in on black letter law.

Is this too much? Should I just actually follow Themis schedule and only focus on watching videos until July 4? It feels so unnatural to me that it's stressing me out, but again, open to feedback.

2023.06.05 15:08 pringlydingly Passed the PANCE

Unpuckered and all good vibes now.
Stats:
- Average student, passed most of my tests with A's or B's, but my programs tests were NOT good prep for the PANCE. No EORs.
- Pre-clinical PACKRAT: 149
- No post-clinical PACKRAT
- PAEA EOC: 1580
- Didn't do any NCCPA Practice Tests
- ROSH Projected: 525
- PANCE: 482 (results came after 4 business days)

Study Strategy:
- Did 10-20 ROSH questions daily for the first few months of Clinical Year with light studying. Maybe a few dozen ANKI deck cards I downloaded from a reddit threat. Rarely touched PPP.
- Sprinkled in podcasts on topics I was weak on throughout the year: Cram the PANCE, Physician Assistant Exam Review, Spoonful of Sugar.
- Started reading through PPP halfway through clinical year, and maintaining the ROSH questions.
- 2 months before PANCE date, I used an 8-week PANCE study guide to help me focus my efforts. Studied PPP on those blueprint topics for 3-4 hours a night, followed by 50 ROSH questions, with a 200 question ROSH practice test at the end of the week on just that week's material. - Last week of the study guide suggests daily 225 question ROSH practice tests to build stamina, but I felt I had already developed that and didn't want to get burnt out, so I only did 6 x 120-180 question blocks. I completed the entire ROSH question bank twice over, with an average 80% correct.
- PROS: My endurance felt great, I didn't get tired at all during the PANCE. I felt confident because I was scoring 10-15% above the national average per category on the ROSH questions. Gave me enough time to feel like I covered all the topics and got into the material better.
- CONS: I got really really good at taking ROSH questions, which are different from the PANCE, and that artificially inflated my predicted PANCE score, and that's why I'm a good 47 points below expected. 8 weeks is also a very long time frame, and I feel like I forgot some things over that time period. For me, any shorter would've burned me out, however. I wish I had read through PPP throughout clinical year, that would've allowed me to go through the books twice.

Personal Opinion on Difficulty of Each Test
- The majority of what I searched up to ease my anxiety was how hard the tests were in comparison to each other, so I'm going to give my own ranking. I know this can vary a lot, and many of my friends felt that the PANCE was harder or the EOC was harder or the PACKRAT was harder, so I'll just give my best explanations for my ranking.
1) PANCE: This was hands down the hardest test of PA school for me. There were a lot of frustrating questions where two answers could be JUST AS CORRECT as each other. Others had just barely enough description to lead you to an answer. ROSH gave A LOT more pathognomonic s/sx and buzzwords for certain conditions, which can be positive because you know the buzzwords by heart now, but bad because PANCE doesn't give you those. I finished each section with usually < 5 minutes to review the 15+ questions I flagged. All this said, there are different forms of the PANCE. Some of my classmates who took it on the same day as me felt like it was very easy, while the majority felt as I did. For everyone who is going to take it for the first time, assume it'll be harder.
2) PACKRAT: This was only a hard test because it was right after didactic, when nothing was solidified in your head, and you felt like the questions were bullshit. It tracks somewhat well with the PANCE in question style, but beyond that it's in reality not that bad of a test.
3) ROSH: Easier the more you do. But still some random bullshit, ultra-specific questions that literally only the question writer knows. I've read many posts saying that ROSH is harder than the PANCE, but I disagree. On a scale of 1-10 for difficulty, ROSH questions range from 2 - 10/10, with a lot more lower end questions. PANCE sits at a 4 - 9/10, they are all more difficult because they don't give you as many clues and it wears on your confidence because you aren't getting those easy ones.
4) PAEA EOC: This was the easiest test of the bunch for me, as with just ROSH and PPP prep, I was able to answer a majority of the questions with ease, and always finished with 10+ minutes. The only difficult part of this test was how long it was.

Day of the PANCE:
- I felt incredibly calm and even keel, got good sleep the night before. This is usually a bad sign for me because I then underestimate the test, and get frustrated when it has the audacity to be difficult and ruin my calm. Thinking back, I might have been a bit burnt out on tests and questions. ALSO, I didn't know this, but while you have 45 minutes of resting time TOTAL, you only have 3 windows to use this time, so plan wisely. This caught me off guard.

Results:
- Got it at the crack of dawn. There is a section that goes over the topics that you get wrong, and if each topic is a singular question, then I got 49 questions wrong total. 251/300 is an 84%, which fit in line with the ROSH practice tests I was taking.

Conclusion:
- The thing that is going to help you pass this test is discipline in however you choose to prepare for it.
- You need to have a source of quick information about the tests topics, with PPP being the most common and arguably best. UTD, school notes, and other sources are great, but they can be excessive for the scope of the PANCE.
- You need to have a source of practice questions that you go through ad nauseam. Advice given to me was to choose 1-2 sources of information and stick to those only, because things vary between info sources and you don't want to confuse yourself.
- Having a solid progression of studying amount and intensity helped me ease into it and not get burnt out, so try to be disciplined and don't cram at the end. 20 questions a day is not that hard to do, and it'll help you stay in the groove of info.
- This test, as hard as it may be, is designed for 90%+ people to pass it. You will pass it if 1) you are diligent and put in good effort for studying (which you have been), 2) you don't let your anxiety get the better of you (I'm convinced the majority of those who don't pass first time are too anxious, rather than don't know enough), and 3) take care of yourself and have faith in the process.
Best of luck!

FAILED TODAY WITH 1 SERIOUS FAULT
I had a test at 9:17am at Tilbury test centre. I wasn’t able to have any practice beforehand because a learner of my instructor had his test at 8:20, So I literally walked to the centre and got in the car. I didn’t really feel fresh in the test which I think was due to this. Maybe I should have cancelled and got another date as I knew about that issue days prior to my tests.
Btw my instructor is asking to pay 140 for the car hire which I think is too much. How much did you have to pay for the car hire on your test?
