2023.06.07 13:49 arahaan23 Can anyone give reviews for UX+ University?
Anyone who has tried enrolling on UX+ University?
I recently went through a work transition from being a developer to pursuing a career as a UI/UX designer. While I've been self-taught and have taken online courses to learn the fundamentals, I feel the need for more structured education and valuable feedback on my work.
I found out that UX+ University has a great network of designer-mentors and has a great support system for their students that’s why I’m considering them.
I’m just on the fence since their pricing is quite costly. However, if being able to receive feedback and accountability to my work, I think it would be a valuable investment.
If you have enrolled in UX+ University or know someone who has, I would appreciate it if you could share your experiences and provide any insights into the program.
Additionally, if you have any alternative recommendations for bootcamps or educational programs that focus on UI/UX design and offer thorough feedback, I'd love to hear about them too.
TL;DR: Transitioning from developer to UI/UX designer, considering enrolling in UX+ University's bootcamp. Looking for reviews, experiences, and feedback on their curriculum, mentors, and the level of guidance provided. Open to alternative recommendations as well. Thanks! ☺️

| Hello all! Doing a short dive trip on a liveaboard and cool enough, they have a decently stocked wine bar on the boat. Any thing that’s worth trying for the price (all in USD +16% tax)? Just included the whites and reds. They do have bubblies and roses but a smaller selection. The bubblies also come with a big markup (eg Moet Imperial for US$150 +16% tax). On a side note - interestingly enough, they have a 2003 Haut Brion (USD 1.6k) and a 2001 Margaux (USD 1.4k) displayed in the wine chiller for baller divers (I’m far from being baller enough for that lol). Though I’d be super skeptical of the provenance and storage on the boat. It does come with a 30-40% discount since it probably hasn’t moved for a while. Thanks for listening! submitted by Far-Fan848 to wine [link] [comments] |

Here's what to do: If you experience a plumbing emergency, follow these steps: 1. Turn off your water supply If you are facing a plumbing emergency, one of the first things you should do is turn off your water supply. This will help prevent any further damage to your home and plumbing system. The main water shut-off valve is usually located near the water meter and can be turned off by turning the valve clockwise. It's important to know the location of this valve before an emergency occurs so that you can quickly turn off the water supply when needed. Once the water supply is turned off, you should also turn off the water heater to prevent damage to the heating element. 2. Call an emergency plumber If you have determined that you do indeed have a plumbing emergency, the next step is to call an emergency plumber. It's important to have the contact information of an emergency plumber ready beforehand so that you can act quickly in the event of an emergency. Take photos In a plumbing emergency, taking photos of the affected area can be incredibly helpful for both the plumber and your insurance company. These photos can help the plumber quickly identify the source of the problem and determine the best course of action for repairs. They can also serve as evidence for your insurance claim, helping you to receive the maximum coverage for any damages caused by the emergency. Be sure to take multiple photos from different angles and distances to give the fullest possible view of the situation. If possible, take photos before any cleanup or repairs are attempted so that the full extent of the damage can be recorded. Remember, the more information you can provide to the plumber and insurance company, the better they can help you in this stressful situation. 4. Move valuable items When faced with a plumbing emergency, it is important to remember to move any valuable items out of harm's way. This includes items such as electronics, furniture, and important documents. Water damage can cause irreparable damage to these items, leading to both financial and emotional stress. If possible, move these items to a safe, dry location until the plumbing emergency is resolved. Finding an oncall emergency plumber that meets your needs can be challenging, but it is crucial to take the time to research and choose the right professional for the job. Look for an experienced, licensed, and insured plumber that can handle any plumbing emergency. Remember to turn off your water supply, call an emergency plumber, take photos, and move valuable items if you experience a plumbing emergency. submitted by Carin_Swan to PlumbingAustralia [link] [comments] |

2023.06.07 13:48 Letmesleep0 Need advice (travel the world) Micro ATX or Mini Pc (External GPU)
Tldr ; I travel alot i need something light but i can work with it. I carry around a 27" Monitor in my suit case as well i am thinking of maybe a Mini PC for my Backpack to split up some of the weight
I mainly use it for a work station i've currently got an i7 2.6ghz with a GTX 1650 gaming laptop so half of these new mini pc's would be heaps better for a start..
I want to start gaming how ever which makes it so much trickier. I'm looking at the new Minisforum UM790 and it looks awesome! for the price and the compact! But if i want to game the GPU is a limit which is where i don't know if i should just forget gaming or run an external GPU
Even a Micro ATX or a Mini ATX proper build seems way to big and bulky for a back pack and even my suit case (as i already carried a monitor)
Any advice would be so good. thanks

2023.06.07 13:46 ottersaur We will be going private to support third party apps and their users on June 12th
What's happening?
Recently, Reddit announced changes to the way in which they provide API access to third parties which you can read about here. For those of you who might not be technically inclined, this means that the way that applications like Apollo, RIF, Bacon Reader and so on get access to the Reddit data they need in order to provide their services is changing. So what? In a nutshell, it means the death of these applications. As an example, the Apollo app would need to pay Reddit in the region of $20m dollars per year to operate as it currently does, explained by the Apollo dev here. In addition to this, API calls are used extensively by moderator tools such as our very own Nicola Botgeon which we use to provide moderator tooling that Reddit will not provide natively. As a consequence, the changes will adversely impact how we perform our roles here and how other moderators perform their's on their respective subs. Moderators also rely heavily on the additional moderator functions available in the 3rd party apps, something which isn't provided for sufficiently in the official app. More information about this can be found here.
What can we do about it?
Honestly? Not as much as we'd like. The owners of the 3rd party apps cannot generate the funds to continue at those prices and a sub the size of
UK would need an insane amount of moderators to replicate the workload of Nicola. But this is not to say we can't try... There is a planned site-wide protest taking place on the 12th June where a significant amount of subs are planning to close down, or 'go dark' for 48 hours in order to get Reddit to the discussion table and attempt to get the API issues resolved. This means we would turn the sub to private mode, no new submissions and no ability to view anything. A live list of subs taking part so far can be found
here.
Media coverage has begun, with a sample of some articles giving more detail at the links below.

2023.06.07 13:45 Malaiit Need Advice on Trader selection
So I am moding a server and we do want a trader mod in there however I know little about trader mods. So here are some questions I have that maybe you pro's could answer.
- There seems to be different trader mod's. What are some recomendations of the better ones to use that give more ability to edit.
- I want to run the trader in a way that most of their inventory is what player's have sold. So basically a player run market. However I would like the trader at times to get random gear in say a box of nails one day or another trader may have a scope that he has "aquired" that does not come from players. Basically I don't want them to be full stocked all the time I want it to be more random.
- Would be cool if even items that players sold to the trader would not be permanently available to be bought.
- I would like to be able to choose where the trader outpost is so it is not in one of the poi places on the map.....Camp Boruta on Namalsk comes to mind where it is just a trader outpost placed in a choosen area.
- I would like there to be safe zones in the trader outpost.
- I would like there to be a monitary currency like euros or US dollars or somthing else
- Would be cool for prices to be based on stock. For example one of the traders has 3 hatchets and you buy two. the last hatchet should cost more since lower stock.
So any suggestions on what trader I should use would be helpfull. I know I asked for a lot but just brainstorming. Thanks in advance for any help.

2023.06.07 13:45 Badboyardie 6/7/23 Volume moving tickers
Trading Thesis: Tracking the float along with daily volume along with company financials helps to narrow down moving tickers Fundamental and technical analysis is often used to find growth tickers and information about them. Fundamental analysis looks to see whether an investment is overvalued or undervalued based on underlying economic conditions, as well as the finances of the company or other organization that issued a stock or bond. Technical analysis instead looks at patterns in the price of an investment to predict future movements in that investment’s price. I look for tickers that are trading at least 2 million in volume a day, with a market-cap of no less than 500 million. The shares traded are compared to the average volume to determine how much of the float is used (Or shares traded). That information is compiled with data on how profitable the company is and how much cash do they have compared to what is expected.
Uptrending Tickers
- U 7/21/23 40C 1.55
- PLTR 7/21/23 15C 1.64
- SNAP 7/21/23 10C 1.29
Downtrending Tickers
- AMZN 7/21/23 115P 1.09
- RIVN 7/21/23 15P 1.63
- MRNA 7/21/23 110P 1.95
- LULU 7/21/23 310P 1.57
- MVIS. 7/21/23 5P. .48
- UBER 7/21/23 40P 1.48
- NFLX 7/21/23 310P 1.76
- UBS 7/21/23 20P .60
- COIN 7/21/23 35P. 1.60
- BA 7/21/23 185P 1.57
- ZM 7/21/23 60P .96
- AMC 7/21/23 5P 1.45
- TSLA 7/21/23 165P 1.84
- GOOG. 7/21/23 120P. 1.33
Things to consider when finding the plays-
· If the stock volume has traded 1 million or more in volume premarket, I will use that and calculate a rough estimate on what the stock will trade for the day.
· If the ticker looks to be trading more volume than the day before, I will consider it for a long play. If trading less than the movement of the ticker, I would consider a short or put play. (If all the other factors previously mentioned checks out.)
· The trades are researched afternoon daily to find possible tickers making a big move. Some of the prices may be less depending on day and time trade is executed.
