This is kind of hard for me to write down, because I have gotten so used to people not believing me, like it wouldn´t be able to happen. But this is how I experienced it (withholding too precise information):
Person A is a practicioner in a medical field. We were introduced to each other an a casual context, and there were...well, a few sparks flying? I felt she was a little obsessive maybe, but very charming too. I was planning on having some treatment done in A´s field and we agreed she would have a look at it. I reveived a treatment plan, looked at some of her former work and decided to give it a go.
Over the course of some months, the plan was carried out. There was a bit of a flirty vibe between us, but at the same time it seemed very hard to get to see her outside of her clinic. My take is that the job is her identity, she puts on a huge charm show for everyone, but when you see her somewhere else randomly, she actually seems very timid. So I didn´t really feel like this would be going anywhere, but was on good terms with that. Just carried on with the last few appointments.
And that´s when it happened. She would be fishing for appraisal sometimes, mixing it with flirting, and at this one session she did so again. I think I reacted a bit indifferent, though definitely not rude or something. I could see her face go bland, and she did two small things during the ongoing procedure that instantly made me feel like something was off.
The following days, I got more and more uncomfortable with it. By a few weeks, I knew I was up for a low-level chronic issue if not corrected. I called to get it fixed and got brushed off - "it takes some getting used to". After some more weeks I managed to get an appointment, during which she used a very basic, incomplete testing procedure to "prove" all was fine and sent me away. I pushed to get an appointment again, this time she commented on the respective issue basically acknowledging it wasn´t right, but blaming one of the clinic employees who was present in the room(!) and then within the same minute she went on to a working step that made it much harder to reverse the issue(!!). After coming home from that appointment, I knew this was not a normal mistake.
I went to other pracitioners to get it checked, they could see what was wrong but I could tell they wouldn´t touch the thing because of liability. This is also when I understood that this was low level enough for everyone to view it as some form of minor mishap, but big enough for me to develop real discomfort, and problematic enough so that no practitioner wanted to get involved with it. The perfect crime?
So I knew I would have to keep insisting that she correct it. I was now running on almost a year of chronic, 24/7 irritation and discomfort. I pulled a little trick asking for all the documentation of my case, which basically would be a before-after evidence. This is assumption on my part, but I think she wants to control said evidence, so instead of handing it over for external use she suddenly offered to take care of it. The ongoing correction process includes stretching the time (long waits for appointments), lies ("this is supposed to be like this anatomically, always"), somehow I don´t get to speak to other professionals in the clinic as would otherwise be normal, working on the opposite side of where I described the issue (me insisting until working the correct place), not answering to my emails (have to insist on phone or personally to get next appointment), tricking me into cheap solutions that would basically mean I accept the issue for life and use a relief item ("what we talked about last time, we couldn´t get it to fit, so I have something else for you here..."). It´s still progressing, but for every step that actually turns out ok I have to fight for appointments, get informed, monitor what she is doing, and insist on corrections all the time.
I am at 18 months of approx. 60% quality of life now, expect to spend another half year on getting to a baseline functional level, and paid the woman 3 monthly salaries for the original treatment. I know people here can´t know the other side of the story, but I don´t really think I was promising her anything, and also I felt that she was the one blocking all interaction outside of that clinic. The hard part is that I can´t speak about what I am experiencing because nobody will believe that a professional would do this, let alone this very popular charm bomb.

The makeup i did w a shitty water activated paint pallet from wallyworld. The shirt and skirt were cheap on aliexpress 4 yrs ago. The lace arm sleeve thingie was a gift from a homie. I put the confetti jars on the heart earrings, i painted my combat boots w spraypaint and added pink paracord for laces! I even added ONE cool sock. But you only get one lol! Fishnets are fun as heck, i love the way these ones mesh into this look.
I also play bass, and am actually starting a band inspired by various forms of gothic music, fashion, and much more. Ill be doing bass and vocals, with my friend who will be doing guitar in the band helping me convert the lyrics into melodies and otherwise make the music happen. Then my friend whos a well known local musician, whos idea it actually was to start the band, will be on drums and potentially doing background vocals with the guitar guy if they are needed for their vocal chords. But were gonna start off as a jam band, by opening up for my already established friend's main acts on his tours and during local shows. We plan to just play off eachothers improvised sounds, making music as we go. Then over time as we get a feel for the chenistry of the band, we'll determine a name and start making songs that will be played again rather than forgetten after completing the jam like a one off would.
Im excited to live my first, dearly departed girlfriend's one and only dream. To be a rockstar. And im doing it with someone who also loved her and has the same mission, as well as a dear friend of mine that just loves music and actually taught me the basics of bass! Im so lost trying to name the band though, we havent had our first practice and i cant give the boys an answer on the name till after that first jam out sesh.
Im hoping for a sound somewhere between nu metal/ prog rock/ and gothic rock.
But anyways! As an adult who, as a child, was raised with witchy alt parents who introduced me to all things that could fit into the alt sphere, i determined it to be far more interesting and far more worth my while than the tacky, trend following normal i was pressured to be by peers and people of authority. Being the way i am, i couldnt possibly dream of being any less off the wall. I love being perfect, melancholy me.
Anyways theres my ramble about my love for all things in this realm. Hope it was an interesting read!

I was very amazed by their always-free services and they looked very shiny to me. A1 Flex is 4 OCPUs and 24 GB of RAM, for free, and you let me choose which region to host this..? oh my god Oracle you are too generous! Cheap Google only offers 1 poor CPU, 768 RAM, and forces your VM to be in the US. Screw Google, you are my new best bud forever!
But.. There is a catch, and that is: You won't indeed be charged by that, but your account will be cancelled randomly without any reason. It sounds weird, but this happened to me. In fact, it happened to a lot of people too:

I was very amazed by their always-free services and they looked very shiny to me. A1 Flex is 4 OCPUs and 24 GB of RAM, for free, and you let me choose which region to host this..? oh my god Oracle you are too generous! Cheap Google only offers 1 poor CPU, 768 RAM, and forces your VM to be in the US. Screw Google, you are my new best bud forever!
But.. There is a catch, and that is: You won't indeed be charged by that, but your account will be cancelled randomly without any reason. It sounds weird, but this happened to me. In fact, it happened to a lot of people too:

Oracle is a big name in the industry for me, and even though this was my first interaction with their services, I didn't have in mind they could be such a c*nt for no reason. dumb me hosted 2 test websites on their cloud but didn't bother to have a local backup for them because... it's OrAcLe dude.
My account had 18 days left in trial. I wake up in the morning, and I find this email:

This is a sad soppy post because I honestly, have no one to vent to. I could tell my husband but he’s more of a logical rational type person. He can sympathize but he cannot empathize for me on this matter.
I deeply long for a child. Some people get pregnant before even considering it and it’s a shock to them. Or people get married and intentionally want to start a family. Which is similar to my situation. We are finally getting our finances together to buy a house in a couple years and start our little family.
But for me, I have a very deep longing for a child and to be a mother. Not just “Oh, I’m ready for kids. Let’s start a family.” No, this to me feels like a piece of me is missing in my core. That I miss someone so deeply that I have never met nor experienced. I truly cannot fully put it into words but my heart breaks when I think about it. Even though logically I know we are not entirely financially stable enough to bring a child into the world. And I would never do so intentionally without being prepared.
There was a time in which we thought we’d accidentally slipped up. My husband and I cuddled after talking about it. We had a good conversation about it agreed that ultimately we would be ok if I were pregnant. He put his hand to my stomach. I’ve never experienced the amount of love and happiness and joy all at once until that moment. And when I did test and it was negative I sobbed. Even though I knew it was really for the best.
I see the majority of peers from HS posting about their pregnancy announcements or celebrating the birth of their children. I’m not even jealous. I’m truly overjoyed for them and wish them all the happiness in the world. But sometimes like tonight, it kills me. I’m truly happy for them. But I grieve for myself. How can you miss and grieve something/ someone so deeply that you’ve never had? I feel like a part of me is truly missing. Idk maybe, it’s someone from a past life that I can no longer recall.

I’m freelance VA earning $4k to $4.5k per month (since last quarter last year) pero nung nagsimula ako around June 2020, around $800 lang full time rate ko (1 client, 160hrs per month).
Around 2nd quarter of 2021, I decided to run my VA services as a business and now, I work with multiple clients from various industries.
May mga basic tasks like copying and pasting, to technical tasks like designing landing pages, building their course content, podcast editing and more.
From a hospital employee working 12-24hrs per shift earning 13k basic per month around 2014 to a freelancer earning 200k to 250k per month working 3-4hrs per day!!!
It wasn’t easy kasi it took me about 1-2 years to hit 100k and another to hit 200k. I was scammed. I was terminated. I was struggling pero finally, I reached a form of stability.
Ayun! To celebrate my 3 years as a freelancer, I’d love to answer questions you have regarding the VA/Freelancing industry.
