Hey,
I have the Macbook M2 Max with 64gb of RAM (and 4 tb of SSD). When I am working when traveling I seem to get only about 7-8 hours of work per full charge. My battery capacity is still at 100% since it is a fairly recent purchase.
This battery life is still sufficient for me, but it raised questions. The battery life is supposed to be longer, but I also know that processes that are very taxing on the CPU/GPU can drastically reduce battery life.
I use a lot of Lightroom Classic/Premiere Pro/Photoshop including AI processes. The programs themselves are already very taxing on the CPU/GPU and the processes including AI probably also eat a lot of the battery life.
So my question is if a battery life of 7-8 hours for a full charge is realistic for my use and CPU/GPU load or if it could hint towards a battery issue that I should have someone check out.
As a small side note I do not get any indications that the battery has issues like abnormal heating, no performance issues or anything else.
(EDIT) Also I do not have set a poweperformance setting to conserve battery life when not charging.

For example, why is Luisa’s abusive relationship with Rose never treated as such, but rather as a dark joke? Why is her trauma brushed off when she kills her abuser, in a series that takes trauma seriously? Why does no one seem to care? The show almost always treats Luisa as a joke or as a liability, all because she is mentally ill.
Magda’s multiple physical disabilities make her a stereotypical “disabled villain”, and while that’s played for laughs, it’s still harmful…
About Mateo’s ADHD, I’m gonna directly quote the article:
“Although I said they consulted professionals. I wasn’t particularly impressed with treatment options they tried. The routines and habits were great but the diet and exercise parts were badly handled. There is absolutely no evidence that diet helps ADHD, none what so ever. The only time diet can help ADHD symptoms is when there are food intolerances. My other problem with this is I don’t buy that Jane and Rafael indulging in this sort of quackery. The exercise scenes bordered on cruel. Exercise can help with ADHD, it increases dopamine levels. · If the stock volume has traded 1 million or more in volume premarket, I will use that and calculate a rough estimate on what the stock will trade for the day.
· If the ticker looks to be trading more volume than the day before, I will consider it for a long play. If trading less than the movement of the ticker, I would consider a short or put play. (If all the other factors previously mentioned checks out.)
· The trades are researched afternoon daily to find possible tickers making a big move. Some of the prices may be less depending on day and time trade is executed.

Boyfriend allowed his racist friend to visit him at our place on his birthday
My boyfriend (now, ex) and I lived in a shared student apartment. I was the only person of color and there have been multiple incidents in front of him where if something goes wrong, it's indirectly pointed towards me ( like the shared money missing) especially by another roomate, P. Couple of these incidents have happened in front of him and we never addressed it cause.. what is there to say.. it's so obvious that we (I) usually try to shrug it off. P and her bf (who was also a roommate and somewhat like a friend) moved out after her studies got over to a nearby apartment. Before she left I confronted her and she denied everything and she went around saying to other in the apartment that I said some nasty things to her and tried to hurt her. I never addressed this, my problem was with her and I wanted to give her a chance to explain herself and kind of sort things out before leaving. Well, it didn't go that way.
It was my bf' s birthday and P's bf wrote to him prior asking whether it's okey for them to come by and wish him and he says yes to it and doesn't tell me anything about it. On his birthday evening, I made a birthday cake and was making a dinner for us ( he doesn't have any friends in this town) when P and her boyfriend comes in with a cake to our apartment, invites other apartment members ( some of them who are new and don't even know my bf well, we don't decide who lives with us, it's run by a management) and throws a small birthday party in our kitchen. I leave and go to my room when they are there. I was in a way happy that my boyfriend had a good evening but pissed that knowing the history they should have asked me atleast.
So, after they have all gone..I write to P's bf that ' it was nice of you to visit him, but next time ...it would be great if you let me know in advance ". I tell this to my bf ( about the message I sent) and he gets upset and tells me that they had asked him yesterday whether it was okey for them to drop by, but he didn't expect a party of any sort like what happened. I get really upset and I leave his room and throw a plastic bottle at him before leaving.. I asked him to apologize for hurting me and he refused to do that.
My bf ( now - ex) is conflict averse. This happened sometime back. I talked to a friend then and she advised me to talk about my feelings than putting the blame on him, even though it's his fault cause some people shut down when you accuse them. When I did that, he just nodded and didn't say anything much and I let it go. I didn't want P to have the power to ruin my mood and I also thought I should accept that my boyfriend is conflict averse and it's not about me and no one is perfect....it's unfair for me expect others to stand up for myself, I felt I was able to stand up for myself and it's unfair of me to force others to act in a way that makes them uncomfortable and if I really love him, then I have to accept him with his flaws and not force him to change.
Tldr: Now, why I am writing this is because, after the breakup I have been trying to see my and his issues that led to this place.
I don't want to repeat the same mistakes in future.
Can someone point out my red flags in this incident here and if my justification was valid or healthy or was it a sign of low self-esteem?

Hi so long story
About 2 years ago while thrifting I found Ghost in the Shell and Croc 1 for R10 each (50c USD). I picked them up despite not having a PS1 at the time and in my country a working ps1 is quite expensive. I dabble in collectables so figured id hold onto them till the prices went up a bit (Ghost in the Shell turned out to be a major score)
Fast forward to last week. My brother finds a almost mint ps1, with original dual shock, power cable and av cable for R295 (15.53 USD). So I bought it, wait for him to drop off and finally I can try these games out that have been sitting on my shelf for a while. GitS runs perfectly, no issues. Croc doesn't run at all, probably because it's NTSC. Now the console is chipped, it came with some trash game backup, which runs perfectly. I was under the assumption that a modchip bypasses region locking, unless maybe the Croc disk itself is just fucked.
Seeing as it's chipped, I figured I'd try my hand at burning backups myself and seeing how it goes. I tried imgburn but it fails during verification. Apparently a fairly uncommon issues with no real fix. I tried another program, forgot the name, but it seems to burn just fine.
I pop it into the ps1, it gets to the Playstation logo screen and it's weird. black screen, no logo. All that's on screen is two random ds and SCEE. I tried leaving it for a while to see if it loads in at all, but I'm hesitant to leave a 25 year old console idling for extended periods of time. Any ideas? I saw mention somewhere of using AWS on Imgburn but I feel like this is less of a burn issue and more of a cd issue. However if you have any guidance, that would be amazing. TIA

[He tries to hit Goku again, but Goku dodges his attack and lands a kick on his chest.]
SCARLET KING: Gah!
[He staggers back, feeling the impact of Goku's blow.]
GOKU: How do you like that?
SCARLET KING: You...you actually hurt me.
GOKU: That's right. And I'm not done yet.
[He unleashes a barrage of punches and kicks on the Scarlet King, who tries to block and counter them but fails to keep up with Goku's speed and skill.]

GOKU: What? How?
SCARLET KING: You are so naive, Saiyan. You think you can defeat me with your puny attacks? You think you can match me with your false godhood? You think you can challenge me with your mortal limits? You are nothing but a joke to me. A joke that I will end right now.
[He raises his hand and gathers a massive amount of red energy in his palm.]
SCARLET KING: Behold, Saiyan. Behold the true power of the Scarlet King. Behold the power that will destroy you and everything you hold dear. Behold...the Scarlet Wave!
[He fires a gigantic red beam of energy from his hand at Goku.]
GOKU: Oh no!
[He tries to dodge the beam, but it is too fast and too wide for him to avoid.]
GOKU: Aaaahhh!
[The beam hits Goku, engulfing him in a huge explosion.]
SCARLET KING: Hahahaha! Die, Saiyan! Die!
[The explosion covers the entire planet, destroying everything in its path.]

Hi all,
I have a couple of questions regarding the accepted practice regarding options;
A series I developed, has been optioned by a respected producer. The first option period (12 months) ran out, and the producer elected to active the extension (6 months). Payment and dialogue throughout has been on point, and the producer is capable of seeing through and selling top end movies and series.
Now, the last option period is running out, and the producer wants to renew again, however there is nothing in the contract regarding further renewals, and I have two other production companies interested in the project.
My question is this; If I elect to continue with the original producer, will a new option contract be the way to go? And the money I was paid (10%), states in the original contract will be withdrawn from the total payment, should the project reach greenlight status. Now, there will be a new contract, so the money I have already been paid should then not be withdrawn from the total right? Just the new amount?
And I have seen mention of higher percentage than 10% being normal, when there is a renewal of the original option periods. Is this true? Also, any thoughts on length of option period, when there is already been 18 months with the same producer in the previous option?

The reason I drink, mainly on the weekends now, is to just zone out. My problem is 1 is too many and 100 not enough. I have hobbies and workout but sometimes I just don’t want to do anything that takes any brain power because I’m mentally exhausted from the work week. I feel bored and agitated and that’s when none of my hobbies seem appealing and I just want to sit and zone out with alcohol. What’s a solution to this? I’ve never liked any kind of meditation but maybe this is it if I really gave it chance? Anyone relate and what helps you?
