2023.06.01 23:51 fatfuckery A question for the pros about making a wooden door.
Hello,
Carpentry! I’ve been building a small woodworking shop in my back yard and after looking unsuccessfully for commercial doors that fit the style of the building at a reasonable cost, I decided to try and build the doors myself.
My friend has built doors professionally, so I spoke to him about options for the look I wanted and came up with this design:
https://i.imgur.com/RmJlT3A.png https://i.imgur.com/jSd8HnC.png Some construction details:
- The inside frame is made up of 1”-thick white oak and the horizontal slats that make up the inside and outside faces are 3/8” sapele, for a total door thickness of 1 3/4”.
- The oak rails and stiles of the frame are mortised and tenoned together (except for the diagonal braces which are just glued in place.)
- The door light is a double-pane insulated unit.
- The hollow triangles will be filled with 1" foam insulation.
- Finish will be a few coats of Waterlox sealer, followed by several coats of Waterlox Original.
My concern with this design is around wood movement… all that cross-grain glue surface between the oak and the sapele freaks me out. My carpenter friend doesn’t think it will be an issue and he showed me pictures of doors with similar construction that he’s built and installed with no problems, but I figured I’d ask the knowledgeable folks here for your input. For what it’s worth, I purchased the wood kiln-dried and it's been sitting in the shop where the door will be installed acclimating there for about 8-9 months.
So what do you all think? Am I freaking out over nothing or should I scrap this design altogether? Also, what glue would you use for this? I would normally use West Systems 105 with the slow hardener (206, I think?) for something this large, but any benefit/disadvantage to using something like Titebond III?
Thanks in advanced for any feedback or comments!

2023.06.01 23:38 xizrtilhh It's Been a Rough Week
| A wildfire burned through my neighborhood on Sunday and I'm one the almost 20,000 people who've been displaced since Sunday. The fire was on our street really quickly and we didn't have much time to get out. I'm not sure if I even have a home to go home to, many of the houses on my street and in my neighborhood are destroyed. I've been bouncing between hotels and couch surfing since Sunday night. When I checked into tonight's hotel I rolled a 420 on the room number. I decided to pick up a pack of pre-rolls and try a little self care. There's also a Wendy's in the parking lot, so everything is coming up Millhouse tonight. submitted by xizrtilhh to trees [link] [comments] |

2023.06.01 23:34 fallFields Chronic Headaches and Migraines for the last 15-16 years. Today was the first time I ever had an Aura before a migraine. This photo edit is the closest thing I could put together to visualize it.
| After having chronic headaches and migraines for the last 15-16 years, today was the first day I ever got an "aura" before a migraine. It was freaking scary. I had no idea what was happening. I was in the office having sushi with my IT team, and it came out of nowhere. At first I thought it was just some light reflecting into my eyes, but it didn't go away, and it got stronger and brighter, and started making it hard to see. It was like a holographic rainbow wave of light that stretched from the bottom-left corner of my eyesight to the top-middle. I started freaking out and started texting my wife, but it was hard to see the keyboard on my phone to text. It lasted about 15-20 minutes, and as it started to fade that's when the migraine hit me. I've heard of an "aura" with migraines before, but I had no idea it was this intense. It felt like a straight up hallucination that jacked up my vision. I took an imitrex and as soon as the aura was gone I went home to lay down. I'm really hoping this was a fluke, and not something I can expect from now on... But idk. Everything I read says that chronic headaches and migraines only get worse with age, which really scares me. I scheduled an appointment with an optometrist just to be safe, and also currently looking for a new neurologist. Would anyone here happen to know of a good neurologist on the East coast, preferably around the PA/DE/MD area that would do telehealth? submitted by fallFields to migraine [link] [comments] |
2023.06.01 23:26 Traditional-Lime-863 Bought used car with warranty drove with no oil
I got this car May 2nd. Within a day I was having issues with acceleration. I scheduled it for May 17th. The entire time no lights went off so I only had the noise and feel of the car that something wasnt right. They checked the car and called to say there was no oil on dipstick and it would be $1000. I was in shock since I literally had not even had the car for barely a couple weeks. Plus upon reverifying they had done two oil changes and safety inspections in feburary and march both within less than 1000 miles of eachother and me buying car. They end up covering it and within a couple days I was again having issues. I saw them last wednesday May 24th i think. Different advisor this time shes trying to tell me this is an oil consumption issue, ill be having to wait till the 1000 mile mark since i have no lights going off. I was able to get her to at least get me seen on what was the 30th of may. I would drive with a tech to “confirm the noise” im hearing. When i went she drove with me instead and then after she told me that she would have to open a techline and that they would have to run tests. She scheduled me for friday for a bearing test or something like that if it fails I can move more closer to the warranty approving to cover an engine replacement if it passes it will be prolonged. Im worried a lot considering what would have happened if i continued driving my car with little/no oil in the car cause my lights never went off. Im sure they caused the engine to be ruined as they had to have neglected properly checking/filling my oil. They dont seem to want to make more amends or take it very serious and rather make it seem a different issue like oh it just happened. In fact without lights or “a lot louder noises” I have to just follow the warranty process. Im just wondering if there is anything I can do because it seems like my only option is to fight for something more. Or do I have to suck this up and pray my car doesn’t take a crap and that I can get engine replacement which I was told could “take some time it depends whether it passes/fails”. its 2016 kia optima. Drove for at the very least 15 days about 800 miles with no lights popping up and little to probably no oil as it did not show on dipstick when they checked.

| I’m trying to use this Lenovo docking station for 2 monitors but can’t get anything to get a connection and this orange light is constantly on the power button. I have an older docking station but it only had one HDMI so I am using this newer one with 2 HDMI’s now. No issue with the other docking station and never had an orange light on the power button so I’m suspecting that this is the issue but can’t find any info online about how to fix it. 2023.06.01 23:23 ItsaKid Last Advice(s): 7 things I wish I have known Earlier
Yup, my last and final advice post in
Subliminal, damn it were 3 years in Subreddit and 2 years of me sharing advice that came not just from my experience but from experiences of others esp. On Gutefrage and on Reddit...
Some advice might sound unpleasant but these are 6 things I wish I have known earlier in my 6.5 years in this comnunity. Some might sound self explanatory whereas some might sound weird anyways Lets get started, it goes from low to high level stuff.
Here is the List which I will explain in detail 7.Luck and Sleep sub 6. Dont indulge too much into community 5. No one actually gives a fuck 4. Social Media is total brainwash 3. Learn from mistakes of others 2. Listen for fun 1. NEVER tell family and friends about subs
Top 7: Add Luck and sleep Subs in your playlist
I know it sounds so weird but let me explain... Luck Subs are amazing and it always pays off. First of all, its so randomized which makes life exciting. U might found a discout, ppl treat you better, u might get more food than intended. The amount of funny and randomized moments snowball your journey into Subliminals tremendously And Sleep: Sleep is such a phenomenon, during that time you heal, regenerate, build up newer / buff neurons and it helps on hormonal level. Honestly sleep is such an underrated thing.
Top 6: Dont indulge too much in this community
During my time on Gutefrage which is 2019 to 2020 I spent wayyy too much time and felt forced to spend there time in this community... The issue is that some conversations become impossible like "what u do in free time" or " whats ur favourite music taste" these simple questions make u hesitant.
So I found for myself GYM , gaming and reading. After i found these 3 I ironically stopped thinking about subs all the day. And it mademe function better. Even tho i spend on reddit 1-2 hours a day... i was on Gutefrage 6 hours and always was thinking about subs
Top 5: No one gives a Fuck, if they do then its their problem.
Honestly when I was 49 kg. I always got called weak etc and it hurt. I was still extremely underweight until and it bothered me. The idea that I couldnt win a physical fight drove me insane...
Later I found something which I was confident at and my worries about my appearance faded away. Overtime its like this. Those who call others Ugly just are dissatisfied woth themselves, those who tell others to touch some grass are also chronically online etc. Only care what close people think of you.
Later after hospital when I made home workouts I realized only awful people cared for my weight... Like do they have no other problem than my weight? Glad my weight is center of their life ig xD
Top 4: Social Media is brainwashing
Honestly the amount of people trying hard to look like Celebs is disheartening. First of all its their JOB to be pretty OR had Surgery.
The amount of Gymrats who use Selfhatred as a fuel to workout not only make u workout in improper form nor get the sleep due to stress and waste time. Dont compare yourself to body builders who do it for ages.
On Camera which is 2 Dimensional... we get uglier because we are 3 Dimensional neings getting compressen into a 2 Dimensional surface so ofcourse we look awful in cam but better irl.
When I did 3 year no insta, my selfhatred pretty much went away... if you have a shit looking nose, work on other parts which will, at the end of the day overshadow ur nose.
Top 3: Learn from mistakes of other people
I know everyone is different but if you have been on an active community like Amino,
Subliminal or Forums where there are strugglers like Quora or Gutefrage.
If you watch the "anti Subliminals" videos from Itzkeisha(deleted),Annas Analysis, curtis conner etc. And read their comments
You will notice patterns e.g. mid to high degree of obsessions lead to 0 results(Like the people in my DMs, this is what obsession TRULY looks like) Selfhatred inhibits results. Expectations fuck stuff up etc etc. Lack of nurtrition... how can u build up hormones?
When someone(a 2015 struggler in 2021) learned after 6 years. In a hard way how important selflove is,for Subs. You gotta be grateful instead of insulting them, like how most of the community would do? You will save 6 years of headache with this advice.(I saved 2 years lmao)
Just imagine ex strugglers would gatekeep their key advice, it would be a disaster....
When you know what NOT to do. Like obsessing, hating yourself etc. You will save years, no debate. No matter what.
When Mindpower wanted u to become obsessed. DETACH. When she wanted to hate yourself: LOVE YOURSELF.
Top 2: FUN beats everything
Honestly fun beats Consistency with beyond negative difficulty. Not only you would absorb affs much quicker you will be detached no matter what. Someone who listens as a joke to a grow, taller sub for 30 mins ALWAYS overpowers the one who listens to an elite tier grow taller Sub for 3 hours.
If you have fun and take it all in light hearted manner. You won. No matter what.
Top 1: NEVER tell Family members nor Friends about Subs.
You will be viewed as a psycho, you face more disgust than ever etc. Its,just awful and regretful... people wont take you seriously, you might get bullied.its overall unpleasant as fuck. If i would meet 2018 me, I would punch him like omniman over and over for this mistake.
Well, if you were stupid like old me... who said about Subliminals. I recommend a certain method to process it... if it really haunts you. From Dr.Brianna Wiest "this is how you heal"
- Go to a room alone
- Focus on that event on where u said about Subs
- Close your eye and imagine yourself as older you in that situation
- Say stuff on which you had no courage for back then. Stwp 5. Repeat it. You may feel physical pressure somewhere... Step 6: shake the part on where u feel pressure and tear up if needed Rinse and repeat until it feels lighter...
Like imagine urself in highschool, talking to your friend and say(your example might be different) "Sorry rigby, for saying about Subliminals and you precieve me as a weirdo, i really regret it... i tried to help but i fucking failed. Im sorry for weirding the living shit out of you"
I know you dont change tge past, but you somehow do according to Dr.Wiest. you will process your regret and pull it out from Subconscious to conscious releasing tons of weight of off your chest.
Bonus: Success Subs ease so much and lift up a lot of hassle...
Anyways... thank you all for your support <3 Thats my last advice post ever and maybe my last active contribution to
Subliminal Tomorrow will try to reply wherever possible <3
Life is getting tight af esp. With my new schedule and I endup having very very little time for this community, aside from being extremely burnt out and having psychosomaric signs of it... so yeah... good bye... will still be on TYBL 1h a day at max but yeah... byeee I will miss a lot of you... Thank you all for your support

2023.06.01 23:21 xxteargodxx Hope you don’t have a police emergency. JCPD hold time is atrocious
Noticed a guy laid out on the sidewalk at Liberty State Park light rail station on my way home. First instinct is to call JCPD so maybe they can send someone out to check on him. He is likely asleep but still it’s hot outside , he’s fully dressed in sweats, shirt and a hoodie never know if he may be having a heat stroke.
I was on hold for 5+ minutes waiting for a pick up. Decided to text NJ Transit Police. Got a text response in about a minute or less with them dispatching officers to check on him.

2023.06.01 23:20 buzzcat2219 Voicemail setup up with Link to Cell
So I ported my VOIP house phone number over to T-Mobile by adding a line to my plan. I set up the cell phone to use my old Panasonic phone system by using its "Link to Cell" option. It works great. I can make/receive phone calls just like before and it feels the same. I'm now trying to set up voicemail and would like to use the Panasonic base just like before. I set the base to 4 rings but all calls are still going to the T-Mobile voicemail [which takes like 8+ rings] and then I have to retrieve them using the cell phone [I know I can load my VM number on the Panasonic handset to get it] but want it to go to my base station so I can just hit a button on the base and manage the messages from there. Also, there is no indicator light on the Panasonic base now when there IS a message, which I don't want to become a problem. You could bypass the old VOIP voicemail by simply having an offset in the number of rings but doesn't seem to be working here. Hoping someone may have found the answer as I have scoured the interweb to no avail. Thanks in advance for the help.

2023.06.01 23:09 Alters_Reality Looking for Recommended Starting Guides, Video Series, Product Lists for an overwhelmed newbie
I'm diving headfirst into building a complete smart home setup using Home Assistant, and I'm seeking some guidance and recommendations from the experienced members of this community.
I understand that this subreddit receives numerous posts like this, however, and I genuinely appreciate your patience and assistance. If anyone could point me in the right direction for updated setup guides and hardware recommendations, that would be fantastic. I want to ensure I'm starting on the right foot with a reliable and future-proof setup.
Initial research points me toward Zigbee for setup and reliability (and experience with Hue), but I'm open to any direction here.
Maybe I'm naïve, but I assume someone has done an "initial setup > first device added > first rules" type write-up or video series. That would be stellar. Even a beginner's Wiki or some reliable (regularly updated) guides for setting up the server and central control displays? Hardware recommendations would be a big plus here.
As for integrations, I've had some prior experience with Alexa Smart Home for lighting (Hue), blinds (Alexa/Schedule-controlled), and audio controllers. Now I want to take it to the next level with Home Assistant. My main goal is to achieve greater customization and more straightforward configuration without sacrificing the "Girlfriend Acceptance Factor" (GAF). Everything needs to work with switches still and not be dependent on knowledge of the system to do everyday functions.
I've started some discussions on Discord, but thought I'd throw this out here in case someone is sitting on a pile of starting point content they want to share.

2023.06.01 23:08 herschelgrynzpan Today Is One Year Since My Build Started. I'm Finally Done.
Constant learning, troubleshooting, and revisions, but I've made it; today I finished fine tuning the Kinovea camera software for auto record and playback and have nothing left to do.
For now.
Anyway, the details are:
- Bushnell Launch Pro
- Lenovo Gaming Laptop (i7)
- Carl's Enclosure + Screen
- 1.5" Meister Gym Mat Puzzle Floor
- MoneyPutt Turf w/ DIY hitting strip
- Carl's high speed cams w/ Kinovea software
- GSPro Sim Software
It's 14'x24'
Yes, those are lasers on switched outlets for putting alignment and, yes, it's overkill (a word I've heard more than once as I've built this), but in addition to being a golf nerd, I'm also a sucker for lights of all kinds, so yeah...overkill (but lots of switches and dimmers for truly custom lighting).
In that same vein, it's all Dolby 7.1.
I did build a shed in my backyard specifically for this, so once the ball was rolling, I went a little nuts. I made a shit ton of mistakes along the way, planning and otherwisebut here I am!
My wife uses it as a yoga studio, so there's daily justification, too. :)
Every single day, I appreciate having this. I use it so much that I have to maintain a schedule so I don't take too many swings. The novelty has not worn off at all and I can't believe this is in my backyard. If you are on the fence, don't be!

2023.06.01 23:03 MelonThug A guide to HI3 for HSR players
Over the past few weeks I've seen a lot of players from HSR coming over to the various HI3 subreddits and asking various, but generally similar questions. I'm not sure if this has been done before, but I thought I'd make a post with all the information you need to know if you're a HSR player interested in HI3.
There are 3 main reasons I've seen for why HSR players are interested in HI3.
- You want to learn more about Welt and his past/power.
- You want to learn about the parallels between the characters in HI3 and HSR(Bronya, Seele, etc)
- You are interested in HI3, the game itself.
I will provide resources for each of these reasons.
1) You're interested in Welt.
Welt is quite the character. He is the only character(that we've seen in-game so far) in HSR that is directly from HI3. As in, they are the same person. There is a
lot to him but you won't find much information about him in HSR. There are 2 main manga which heavily feature Welt:
- Alien Space (17 Chapters) This manga serves as the bridge between HI3 and HSR, showing why Welt and Void Archives travelled there in the first place. You'll also get to see some of the backstory of HI3's Himeko, and her little adventure with Welt. Even with no knowledge of anything HI3, you should be able to understand this manga fairly well and enjoy it.
- Second Eruption (66 chapters) This manga features Welt in his prime, during the war between humanity and the Herrscher of the Void during the 2nd Eruption. Welt uses his powers to the best of his ability here, and if you recognize the line "I am Welt of Humanity!...", yeah, that's here. Do note however, this manga will be very difficult to understand without any knowledge of HI3. If you just want to see Welt doing cool stuff, then by all means go ahead and read, but just be prepared to be confused. This is the best HI3 manga in the eyes of most, and also the longest by far, so maybe it might get you interested in HI3's story, for which, you can check the next the section.
There is more to Welt, but this is all you'll get without playing the game.
2) You're interested in the characters/story
If you're interested in what the HSR characters are like in HI3, you'll have to go through HI3's story. But you don't actually have to be playing the game to do so! For the first 6 chapters, you can easily finish them with just the starter characters, and after that, the game will give you trial characters to use for every story chapter. So you can just login whenever you want to do story and not have to worry about actively playing the game.
The story is very highly praised by the community, but it's definitely not easy to get into. In order to get the full experience, you'll have to be jumping between different forms of media, as it is a multimedia story. There are the in-game chapters, several manga, 3 visual novels, anime(yes actual anime), and some amazing YouTube animations. The story is very long, and it will take some effort to go through. But it's definitely worth it. Hoyostans has put together an amazing story guide that you can follow, with everything linked right in the guide so you don't have to be searching for things yourself.
Here is the guide Do note that the early stuff(about the first half of Phase 1 in that guide) is pretty bad in comparison to what comes later, so don't let that discourage you from moving on. The story jumps in quality after chapter 7 and will keep getting better from there. (Ofc, this is an opinion)
3) You're interested in the game
Now if I were to talk about every aspect of the game in detail, this post would be like 10x longer. So I'll try to keep it short(I failed lol) . I will also be making some comparisons to HSR and by extension Genshin(yes yes I know) since this post is mainly targeted towards those players.
Honkai is difficult. As a F2P new player, it will definitely take you a long time to catch up. Powercreep is
very present in this game, and characters get replaced fast(within 1 year even). But once your account gets the ball rolling(As in you get 3 teams fairly well built) things get alot easier and you''ll be able to keep up. The endgame starts post level 80, and you will get to level 80
very quickly with the amount of EXP you'll be flooded with. Luckily at level 80 its optional to breakthrough to higher levels and "enter the endgame". So you can remain at level 80 until you feel comfortable with your account to breakthrough.
Team and character building In terms of team building, you don't have much diversity. The teams are pretty much set in stone and there isn't much room for experimentation. "This character only does this and must go on this type of team and is pretty useless elsewhere" is the case for the majority of characters. Of course you can still mix and match but the ideal teams will always be the same. Characters however have alot to them, not just 3 moves. Like,
alot. For example, there's a character with 4 different weapons and different movesets for each. (Yatta!).
In terms of character building, unlike Genshin and HSR, we don't technically have 5* gear. Signature gear is actually 4 star. You know the guaranteed 4 star every 10 pulls? You got a pretty good chance of pulling a character's signature gear from that. Unfortunately, every DPS needs their signature weapon. There isn't really any F2P alternatives that can come close to the signature for the majority of DPS, so you'll have to pull it. Supports have some more leeway with weapons but some still require their signature to work.
Artifacts/Relics Unlike Genshin and HSR, we don't have artifacts/relics. We have stigmata(stigma for short). Each character can be slotted with 3 stigma, with 2 piece and 3 piece set bonuses. You have to pull stigma and all signature stigma is 4 star. Therefore on your 10 pull 4* pity, you might either get a stigma or a weapon. Luckily stigma is not as mandatory as weapons, and there is a lot of craftable stigma that can substitute for signature.
Banners There is no 50/50 on character banner. Same 90 hard pity, 75 soft pity. Equipment banners have 5 stigma sets and 5 weapons in the pool, with 1 stigma set and corresponding weapon rate up. Which means your 4* can be 20 different things, and if you only want 1 specific thing, yeah its tough, but there's a chance you might end up fully gearing another character by complete accident because of this. We also usually know the schedule for the next patch and maybe even the following patch, with all the banner details and events, so it's easy to plan your spending.
Events Honkai has events
very often, and they are quite fun and sometimes "inspired" from other games. We essentially had a Fall Guys event, a Plants vs Zombies event, a somewhat Pokemon event and others. Event dialogue is usually pretty humorous and light hearted, and are pretty fun to read through.
End Game Activities There is alot to do in endgame.
Superstring Dimension AKA Abyss Every abyss cycle, you get grouped with a certain number of players, and you compete for score on a leaderboard tied to your group. Depending on your placement, you will earn trophies and either move to higher abyss levels, stay where you are, or move down, with different rewards for each level. Therefore Honkai can be said to be a competitive game. Every 3 days we get a new abyss cycle (not as long as Memory of Chaos or Spiral Abyss of course) and hence rewards.
Memorial Arena Every week, there are 3 bosses which players can compete for score on a global leaderboard(tied to your server like NA, SEA etc). This gives you the opportunity to use your various teams every week as each boss has their own weaknesses. Your score determines your rewards(not relative to other people's score) and your ranking affects some rewards as well but that one isn't really much of a deal.
Elysian Realm This is HI3's equivalent of Simulated Universe, with some slightly different mechanics. This technically isn't an endgame activity, but getting higher scores will require you to have good gear. Its a weekly thing with good rewards, and the way characters play in Elysian Realm is fundamentally different from the regular game, since they might get new abilities specific to each character.
Raids Honkai has Co-op. Every week you can team up with 2 other players to go through 6 stages for rewards. To be very honest, Co-op is pretty meh. You'll be able to matchmake with other people easily but alot of people kinda just ignore this.
Oh, and we also have a customizable housing system with Chibi characters, and a global chat where people talk about all kinds of usually crazy stuff(looking at room 1). These are the real endgame activities 👍.
That's the main content besides the dailies, which you can finish with just a few mouse clicks. You will find lots of useful resources in the pinned post on this and the
houkai3rd subreddit, so be sure to read through them if you get into the game.
Thank you for reading! I hope this information will be of use to anyone interested in HI3, and if you have any other things you may want to know, please leave a comment.

2023.06.01 23:03 Loose_Owl6530 Step 2 6 week study schedule
Hey fellow med students,
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and frustrated with my progress on the USMLE Step 2 exam, and I could really use your insights and advice. I've been diligently using UWorld, but my scores have been consistently in the 30-40% range, which is far from where I want to be. I see others achieving amazing scores like 250s, and I can't help but wonder how they managed to turn things around.
I'm aware that everyone's journey is different, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach to success. However, I'd greatly appreciate it if some of you who have experienced a similar situation and eventually achieved high scores could shed some light on your strategies and schedules.
Here are a few questions I have:
How did you improve your performance from failing to scoring in the 250s range? What specific steps did you take?
What resources, besides UWorld, did you find helpful in preparing for Step 2? Are there any particular textbooks, online resources, or review courses that you would recommend?
How did you structure your study schedule? Did you follow a strict routine, or did you adopt a more flexible approach? How many hours per day did you dedicate to studying, and for how long did you prepare overall?
Were there any specific study techniques or strategies that you found particularly effective in boosting your knowledge and retention?
Did you make any adjustments to your mindset or study habits that played a significant role in your improvement? How did you stay motivated during the challenging moments?

2023.06.01 23:02 Loose_Owl6530 Step 2 6 weeks schedule
Please feel free to share any other tips, advice, or personal experiences that you think would be beneficial for someone in my position. I understand that success on Step 2 requires hard work, dedication, and time, but I'm determined to make the most of my preparation.
I truly appreciate any guidance or insights you can provide. Let's help each other succeed and become the best physicians we can be!

2023.06.01 23:02 Sufficient-Duty1635 Help w/ fitness + vent
Sorry just a little vent I’ve been in my head for a long time and I just want to be heard.
Came straight out of OSUT and I’ve been at my first duty station for a while now. Before going in I was like 230 lbs and when I graduated OSUT I came out around 190. Once I got to my station I let my depression eat me up and I’ve gotten fat as fuck. I hate myself. I joined to get away from family and find some purpose in my life but funny how I miss them now. I feel so alone and invisible. I’m not suicidal but there’s times where I just wish I stopped existing. I feel empty and time feels so weird and warped. Sometimes I struggle telling what’s real and what’s not. I’ve deleted all my social media as I found it distracting and people don’t really talk to me. I’ve redownloaded Reddit as a last resort. I try to get out and socialize but I feel like a background character. I say something and people just walk past me. I feel like people only wanna talk to me when they need or want something. I try my best to be a good soldier at all times. Right uniform, right attitude, and right time. Only words that come out of my mouth is “yes ____” or “no ____” and then work ends and I just go and rot in my room. I try to go outside and do things but there isn’t much to do and everything is so far away and I don’t have a car. I try to compensate for my lack of PT and be a good soldier by working hard and doing more because I’m ass at PT. I feel constantly looked down upon and shitted on for being dog water at PT. I’m 19 and I just don’t know what I’m doing with my life. I feel like I need to have everything figured out as I’m an adult now. I feel like a big ass baby with no clue what I’m doing in life 24/7 and constantly looking for guidance by older people. I don’t know how to drive or do taxes or mow a lawn and etc. Maybe if I had parents in my life I’d have some purpose or sense of what I’m doing. I feel constantly pressured as a man that I need to have everything. Like oh I need a house and a car and this and that and more money and degrees. I’m constantly unsatisfied with myself as I feel like I haven’t done enough. Since I’ve been away from home I’ve had trouble sleeping and I lay in my bed for hours trying to sleep and struggle with night terrors. I avoid caffeine and dip or nic or whatever people use. I’ve tried to schedule a BH appointment but I have to wait like 2 months. I feel so distant from everyone. After high school friendships and meaningful relationships seemed to dissolved before my eyes but I guess that’s part of growing up. I feel like no one understands me. I wish had a “bro” or “homie” that can understand me. I just want meaningful relationships, and all my relationships feel so surface leveled such as family or my battle buddy’s. I try to connect and go in depth with people but no one seems to match my energy? There’s so much more to life that just getting wasted for the weekend or getting with a new chick. I want rich and deep conversations and where people can connect but everyone is so shallow? But yeah, I just want to be heard and understood and so thank you if you’ve read this far. Hopefully someone can relate? There’s more but I’ll stop there sorry about that.
Fitness I have never exercised once or played any sports in my life before the army. I have no knowledge about diets or exercises. I wanna lose fat and build muscle. This is my attempt of reaching out for help and trying to retake my life and change. I’m tired of being fat and hating how I look. I’m tired of being weak as shit and looked down upon. I want to become better. I want to feel better. I want to eat better. If anyone could help me create a split or full body routine or some sort of schedule and some sort of diet I’d be forevermore grateful. I’ll share my recent acft scores based off memory but maybe this can determine where I am. I know they are terrible.
Deadlift: 340 Ball throw: 9.6m and 10m Push ups: 55 Sprint-drag-carry: 1:45 Plank: 1:38 Run: around 22 mins from what I remember

2023.06.01 22:57 miceoba Could this be fungal or does she need food?
These big lower fan leaves have progressed to this - getting yellowish and having these brown spots that progress and develop blackish surrounding halos. I think its progressing up the plant.
- 100W LED with 18/6 light schedule
- Strawberry Lemonade from Barneys,n5 weeks into veg
- pH controlled to 6.5
- Temps 22-25°C
- Humidity 45-60% (mostly around 50%)
- Growing in BioBizz AllMix
- just started fertilizing with BioBizz according to their schedule, so 1ml/L of BioGrow
Plant looks a bit droopy in last pic as she needed water.
I am a bit lost. Its my 4th grow and everytime I get some weird new issue, feels like im cursed.
Could this be some fungal bs? Otherwise I could imagine she needs more food but seems a bit like a weird way to show deficiency to me.
Would be amazing if somebody with more experience could help me out!

2023.06.01 22:56 Jalapeno28 CDLC/DG Day 21
| First two are CDLC and the second two are DG. All popped at the same time. Started in solo cups with Coast of Maine seed starter and transferred to 5gal fabric pots 1/3 full of FFOF and filled the rest of the way with Happy Frog/perlite. Not using nutes, just PH adjusted water. Light: MH SP3000 hanging about 16” from the tops - 18/6 schedule. Any suggestions? First time Mephisto and hopefully my first successful grow. 😅 submitted by Jalapeno28 to MephHeads [link] [comments] |
