Hey! Looking for some advice. 2003 Ford f150 with the 4.6 263k
Truck was running beautifully, no check light, no misses. I towed my 5x8 utility trailer an hour yesterday And its developed a miss and runs rough. Check light indicates cylinder 2 misfire. When I first started it this morning it ran fine for about a minute. Then back to the crap. It also runs worse when the ac is on vs when it's not. The truck has a rough idle and seems to be idling maybe 3 or 400 rpm lower than normal I'm going to check the plugs this evening, I'll grab a can of starter fluid and try to check vacuum lines. Other than that .Any other advice on tracking this problem down? Thanks in advance! Edited: to add more symptoms

2023.05.31 13:14 AliveInvestment9213 Trash/Debris Removal as a Remodeling Contractor
Morning Friends!
Reaching out to my contractors and GCs for advice regarding their preferred method of regular trash removal where a dumpster isn’t feasible. I’ve got a small truck (ford maverick) and a sprinter van, but now I’m considering a compact trailer for parking at clients’ homes for trash collection/material pick up. I’m thinking this would ideally let me advertise on the trailer, save some money on dumpsters (on jobs that are mid sized with relatively small amounts of trash), and have a dedicated spot for leftover materials. Does anyone have a system similar to this? What is your preferred system? This is really to the smaller guys in the industry that are only handling 1-5 jobs at a time. Apologies if this has been covered and I’ve missed it.
I’ve had my business for about 3 years and up until now have had a couple trash cans exclusively for me. That combined with an area for short term storage for excess trash has treated me well on my small jobs (less than a week or my handyman jobs I’ll take on the side). I’m moving this week to an apartment and need a new approach to trash storage/removal on the jobs where a dumpster isn’t really feasible. I got my truck prior to having this issue (18 months ago) and I’m just in need of a good system that will keep all the bags of trash out of my truck and van.
Obviously dumpsters are preferred always, but this advice is geared towards times where dumpsters aren’t the best play (size and location, expense vs amount tossed, etc.). Appreciate any advice from anyone in the field with advice or similar experiences. Thanks a ton!

The Race
It all comes back to Le Mans. A century ago, people asked ‘Could a car continue to drive for 24 hours straight?’, an event was made to test that theory, and a legacy in racing, motorsport, and motoring was born. The 24 Heures du Mans is the holy grail of endurance motor racing, and brings up its Centenary edition this year. In its 100 year history, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is recognised as the most prestigious and gruelling test for innovations and improvements in motorsport technology. Technologies such as disk and air brakes, streamlined bodywork, fuel, oil, and lubricant improvements, improvements to engine efficiency and longevity, even things as simple as LED lighting and windscreen wiper blades have been trialled and tested at Le Mans. The normally hot conditions in the middle of June stretch the limits of reliability, with all the teams knowing that in order to beat their competitors, they must first beat the event. A variety of different engine configurations, displacements, positions, fuels, and hybrids have won over the history of the event. So far, petrol-fuelled traditional piston engines have been the most successful. Mazda managed to win using a Wankel Rotary engine in 1991 with the Mazda 787b (oh god listen to that sound!), while Audi was the first to win with an alternate fuel, taking victory in the diesel-powered R10 TDI in 2006. 2012 ushered in the era of the Hybrid, with Audi taking victory in the R18 e-tron Quattro, featuring a flywheel hybrid engine.
Qualifying
The Qualifying format for Le Mans is unique to the event, and called Hyperpole. In this format, all classes are permitted to use the track in the 1 hour qualifying session on Wednesday evening. The top 6 cars from each of the 4 classes then progress to the Hyperpole session on Thursday night, which sets the top of the grid for each class. This means that each class will be segregated on the final grid.

The Circuit de la Sarthe covers 13.6 kilometres of the French country side. It combines the permanent race components of the Ford Chicanes, the pit straight, under the Dunlop Bridge and through to Tertre Rouge as well as the normal everyday roads of the Mulsanne straight through to Indianapolis and Arnage. The track has gone through many iterations over the years; originally, the cars raced into the heart of the city, turning just before the river Sarthe, before hurtling down the 8.6 kilometre straight. In 1932, the circuit removed the journey into the city, and more closely resembled the track we see today. Here’s a video of Mike Hawthorn touring the circuit with a camera and microphone attached in 1956, one year after his involvement in the Le Mans disaster. The addition of the Porsche Curves and the Ford Chicanes in 1972 added an extra dimension to the high speed, fast flowing track. In the late 80’s, the Group C prototype cars would reach over 400km/h, achieving average speeds of almost 250km/h in qualifying for the entire lap. This is an onboard of Derek Bell’s Porsche 956 in 1983, showing the ridiculous speeds on this configuration of the circuit. This configuration remained relatively unchanged right up to 1990, until FIA mandations required that for the circuit to be sanctioned, it must not have a straight longer than 2km. The 6km Mulsanne straight was cut down into three relatively equal length portions by two chicanes, giving the iteration of the circuit used today. Allan McNish takes you on an onboard lap of the 2008 circuit in this video. McNish is one of the gods of the modern prototype era, winning Le Mans 3 times; once with Porsche and twice with Audi. For a more comprehensive focus on the track, John Hindhaugh’s track walk takes you on a 30 minute exploration of the track, with in depth focus on corners like the Dunlop Esses, Tertre Rouge, Mulsanne Corner, and the Ford Chicanes.
For some modern on boards, check out the fastest ever lap in the Circuit de la Sarthe: Kamui Kobayashi's 3:14.791 in 2017 Q2, and last year’s Hyperpole lap, by Brendon Hartley, setting a 3:24.408
The Dunlop Bridge
The iconic Dunlop Bridge has been a part of the Le Mans track since 1932, making it the oldest Dunlop Bridge at any track. This part of the track requires a good launch out of the first chicane before cresting the brow of the hill, and plunging through the esses out onto the Mulsanne straight. As the LMP cars are much more maneuverable, caution must be taken passing the slower GT traffic, as Allan McNish discovered in 2011.
Tertre Rouge
Tertre Rouge is the corner that launches the cars onto the long Mulsanne straight. Maintaining momentum through this corner as it opens on exit is imperative to ensure maximum straight line speed heading down the first part of the Mulsanne. The undulation in the road makes for fantastic viewing at night, with some magic images of the Porsches throwing up sparks on the exit in 2014. Finally, this was the location of Allan Simonsen’s fatal crash in mixed conditions in the 2013 Le Mans. The Danish flags will fly at the corner in his memory.
Mulsanne Corner
After the incredibly long Mulsanne straight, the Mulsanne corner nowadays features a subtle right hand kink before the tight 90 degree turn. Here, the cars decelerate from 340 km/h down to below 100 km/h, resulting in a brilliant opportunity to overtake. Again, care must be taken overtaking slower traffic; unaware drivers have caught out faster cars attempting to pass through the kink, such as Anthony Davidson’s spectacular crash in 2012 resulting in a broken vertebra for Davidson.
Indianapolis and Arnage
The Indanapolis and Arnage complex is one of the most committed areas of the track. Hurtling down the hill from the Mulsanne Corner, the road suddenly bends to the right, a corner which only the bravest prototype drivers take flat out, followed by a beautifully cambered open left hander taken in third gear. A short sprint leads the cars into Arnage, the slowest point on the track. The tight right hander was the scene of heartbreak for Toyota in 2014 when the leading #7 broke down and had to be retired after an FIA sensor melted and shut off the electronics. Kazuki Nakajiima was unable to make it to the pits, leaving him stranded on the circuit.
The Porsche Curves
At a terrifyingly high speed, the Porsche Curves is the most committed part of the lap. Getting caught behind GT traffic in this section can mean losing phenomenal amounts of time. This was the site of Loic Duval’s horrific crash in practice for the 2014 event. Keeping momentum through the flowing right-left-right handers that lead into Maison Blanche requires 100% commitment and ultimate precision, with severe punishment for getting it wrong. The exit of the Porsche Curves underwent significant change in 2020, with additional run-off added in the middle part of the section. This has turned the treacherous and claustrophobic sweeping left-hander into an open and sweeping corner, encouraging every little bit of road to be used on the exit. What it hasn’t changed is the terrific consequences for making a mistake
The Ford Chicanes
The final chapter in the 13.6km rollercoaster that is Le Mans is the Ford Chicanes. Two tight left-right handers with massive kerbs are all that separates the driver from the finish line. Watching the cars bounce over the kerbs in beautiful slow motion is certainly something to behold, but 24 hours of mistreatment can lead to suspension and steering issues. The drivers have to be attentive until the very end, lest they throw it all away in the last minutes of the race.
The Circuit de la Sarthe requires over 85% of the lap on full throttle, with the cars accelerating from less than 100km/h to over 300km/h five times each lap. The challenge of having a car finish Le Mans is in itself, an achievement.
The Classes
The WEC consists of three classes on track at once, resulting in three separate races on track each in their own battle for 24 Hours. The classes are split based on their car type, with LMH and LMDh machinery facing off in the Hypercar class, purpose built prototypes with a spec engine and gearbox battling in LMP2, and GT machinery racing in GTE. Each class has its own set of regulations, driver requirements, and relevance for the Le Mans event.
Hypercar
The current top class of endurance sportscars is Hypercar, combining cars built to Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) and Le Mans Daytona (LMDh) specifications. Fighting it out will be LMH machinery from Toyota, Ferrari, Peugeot, Glickenhaus and Vanwall, while Porsche and Cadillac will be racing in LMDh cars. The LMH cars are bespoke sportscars, designed to a strict set of requirements dictating maximum power, drag coefficient, and weight, amongst other parameters, intended to limit the cost of the category. LMDh machines on the other hand are based on the future LMP2 chassis offerings, with manufacturers able to develop their own engines and bodywork, aligning with the power and drag coefficients of LMH. As part of cost-cutting, the Hypercar class is also subject to a Balance of Performance (BoP) formula, to level the playing field and ensure good racing! Hypercars are a little slower than their LMP1 predecessors, with lap times around the 3:24 mark for the Circuit de la Sarthe, which is on par with the 2014 LMP1 cars.
LMP2
The second prototype class is LMP2, and provides an excellent platform for endurance racing on a budget. The LMP2 class features a spec drivetrain and gearbox, using a Gibson V8 producing 400kW, and a selection of three chassis to choose from, of which the Oreca 07 has been the chassis of choice. This ensures that the competition in the class is very tight, and often comes down to the drivers and the team’s performance instead of just having the best car. While LMP2 was capable of 3:25 lap times in years previous, part of the ‘stratification’ of classes with Hypercar’s inclusion, the LMP2 class has lost some power and had some weight added. This should put LMP2 at the heels of the Hypercar pace, but with laptimes outside the 3:28 mark.
LMP2 is the first class that must feature amateur rated (FIA Silver or Bronze) drivers. The Amateurs must drive for a minimum of 6 hours in the car over the course of the race. This means that there's an element of strategy of when to use your amateur driver throughout the race, as the amateur driver is generally slower than the Pros. The pro drivers in this class range from up and coming talent, former F1 drivers, and some of the best sportscar pilots in the world, and with 24 cars in this class, LMP2 is sure to be a hotbed of action over the 24 hours.
LMGTE-Am
GT class cars are cars that are derived from production models, and feature some of the most iconic cars and brands battling it out at the top of the field. The GTE cars are on the border of aero dependency, and can lap Le Mans in around 3:45 in a professional driver’s hands.
This year is the last year of the GTE class, and features 21 cars in a Pro-Am category, with cars from Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, and Chevrolet on the grid. Despite the lack of a Pro category, the driver quality in GTE-Am is still incredibly high, with factory drivers, young stars, experienced champions and every level of experience in between on the grid, with each car featuring one Bronze and one further Bronze or Silver rated driver. With two amateur drivers, the strategy considerations multiply. While GTE-Am might be the class focussed on the least over the course of the race, the stories that come from this class are phenomenal, and it's well worth following.
The GT classes feature a range of different cars and configurations, and to equalise each of these against each other, the class goes through a process called 'Balance of Performance' or BoP. The organisers can adjust each individual car's weight, fuel tank, air restrictor, turbo boost pressures, and aero performance to alter performance levels to enable the different cars to race competitively. This can sometimes be contentious as every team will feel hard done by, but it is a necessary evil to having the variety of cars on the grid.
Innovative Car
Each year, there is the option for an Innovative Car, with untested or innovative technology, allowed to enter in it’s own category. In years past, this has allowed for entries from the Deltawing, or a modified LMP2 to allow amputees to race.
This year, the Innovative Car entry is a modified Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Next-Gen NASCAR, run by Hendrick Motorsports. The Next-Gen NASCAR features modifications to allow it to run safely on the Circuit de la Sarthe, and will be driven by multiple NASCAR Cup champion Jimmie Johnson, Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button, and Le Mans Overall Winner Mike Rockenfeller.
The Legends
Part of the allure of the Le Mans 24 Hours is the history, and the legends steeped in history over the course of its 88 previous editions. The race has had many headline battles in its history - periods of time where two or three teams went toe to toe for years, with the drivers, cars, and brands embroiled in these battles given the chance to elevate themselves above the rest, and show their prowess.
In 2019, we at /WEC, took our normal Le Mans Legends celebrations to a new level; each week, members of the community have been writing reviews on some of the closest, most fascinating finishes in Le Mans history! You can check out these reports below!

The early races were dominated by the Bentley company in their Speed 6, who won 5 of the first 7 races. Cars were separated into classes by their engine displacement, and the overall winner was based on distance covered. If two cars had finished with the same number of laps, the car with the smaller displacement was declared the winner. The race wasn't run during the second world war, and comparatively very little information is available on the stories of the early days of Le Mans.
After the second world war, teams such as Jaguar, Ferrari, Mercedes, and Aston Martin became the dominant teams. This era featured the legendary Jaguar D type, the Mercedes Benz 300 SLR, the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, and the Aston Martin DBR1. Jaguar won 5 times between 1951 and 1957, followed by an era of Ferrari dominance. Drivers such as Mike Hawthorn, Stirling Moss, Juan Manuel Fangio, and John Fitch became household names as Le Mans became a battle between German engineering and British "garagistas".
Ferrari and Ford was the story of the 60's, with Ferrari winning 6 times straight before Ford won four in a row with the GT40 Mk II, taking their first win in 1966. The story of their rivalry is legendary in it's own right - Henry Ford had almost successfully bought out the Ferrari motor company, only to be knocked back by Enzo himself at the 11th hour. In retaliation, Ford planned to hurt Ferrari where it mattered most; on the track. The Ford GT40 was so comprehensively dominant that it won the 1966 edition 21 laps ahead of the next car back - a Porsche 906/6. None of the Ferrari 330P3's finished the race. This battle gave drivers like Bruce Mclaren, Dan Gurney, and Jacky Ickx their first Le Mans victories, and propelled them to the forefront of motorsport stardom at the height of motorsport's popularity.
The 1970's saw the dawn of Porsche, with the 917k taking the brand's first win in 1970, with the same car winning the following year in the hands of Helmut Marko (yes, that Helmut Marko). It would be 5 years before Porsche would win again, with Matra taking 3 victories in the interim, each at the hands of Henri Pescarolo. Porsche returned with the 936 and the 956/962c dominating the race for the next 20 years. In fact, from 1970, Porsche won 12 times in 18 events, including 7 in a row, and they miiight have been a bit cheeky about it. Amongst these 12 wins, there were 4 for both Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell, and two for IMSA legend Hurley Haywood, as well as the first win for the Joest team in 1984. This era coincided with the introduction, and subsequent destruction of the Group C sportscar formula, widely regarded as the best Sportscar championship regulations of all time. Porsche’s dominance was eventually ended by Jaguar in the XJR-9LM, at the height of Group C’s magic. Ickx's 6 wins at this stage had earned him the nickname 'Mr Le Mans', a fitting title for one of the best drivers in the world at the time.
GT cars became a force to be reckoned with at the end of the Group C era, with classes being split into LMGTP and LMP. McLaren and Porsche had wins in GTP cars, in the F1 GTR and the 911 GT1 respectively, while Porsche, BMW and Peugeot scored LMP wins. 1997 saw the first win for Tom Kristensen, while the following year Allan McNish took his first victory, starting their journeys into the legend books of Le Mans.
The 2000’s ushered in the era of Audi, with all 13 of their wins coming since the turn of the century. GTP was disbanded due to safety issues, being replaced by GT1 and GT2. Audi picked up wins in the R8, the R10, the R15, and the R18, often dominating the might of the Peugeot 908. Audi's dominance elevated not only their drivers to legend status, but also their team managers, car designers, and race engineers. People like Reinhold Joest (team manager), Dr Wolfgang Ullrich (Audisport director), Ulrich Baretzky (engine designer), Leena Gade, Howden Haynes (race engineers) behind the wall and Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen, Rinaldo Capello, Marcel Fassler, Andre Lotterer and Benoit Treluyer have become household names in the sport not only for their wins, but their longevity and domination. Audi's dominance was only broken by a win for Bentley in 2003, running basically an Audi under a British racing green skin, and Peugeot in 2009, before being ended for good by Porsche in 2015. After both Porsche and Audi left the top class, Toyota rose to dominance, taking the last 3 Le Mans events in a row!
Between 2015 and 2017, Porsche added to their victories, now holding a record 19 overall victories at the Circuit de la Sarthe. Audi trail with 13, with Ferrari, Jaguar and Bentley holding the next three positions. Toyota finally took their first overall victory in 2018, and have won every year since. Tom Kristensen is has the most victories at Le Mans, with 9 overall victories over his career with Porsche, Audi and Bentley, inheriting the title of Mr Le Mans.

2023.05.30 00:39 Solidus345 2013 F150 - Starting system fault
Hello, I have a 2013 f150 platinum, this vehicle is a salvage title but for the past 30,000 miles since the work has been done it has run flawlessly. I mention this because considering it is an electrical issue, maybe it could be a loose connection.
I have the original key that I received from Copart, the truck registers one admin key in the menu (not sure what that means?)
I attempted to start it and I got nothing. The lights came on, the dash came on just like it always does, but no start. I had a reading of 9 volts on my battery, after changing the battery it still did the exact same thing. Weirdly enough, my key fob would only unlock and lock the doors if I took the back cover off and pushed the battery down with my thumb, it actually stopped doing that since this began even after replacing the fob battery. Before the key did stop working I could actually start my truck with the remote start function, however, once putting the key in and turning it over it would shut off and set the car alarm off. This makes me think its something to do with PATS but I would love some input before spending nearly $300 on a new key/programming.
Heres what ive tried so far:
New OEM motorcraft battery
New keyfob battery
Checking all the small fuses under the hood with a multimeter
Visibly checking all the larger square fuses
Noticed the previous owner did replace the fuel pump fuse, but it was fine and getting a good connection
Disconnected and reconnected the PCM connection on the passenger kick panel (seemed to be a common issue on the ford forum)
Tried a million times to start the car
I ordered a "refurbished" oem key through ebay, figured if it worked for $75 instead of $250 it'd be worth it, if I need to pay the $250 ill just buy it direct from the locksmith
Disconnected and reconnected the negative terminal a few times
One thing that's interesting is the car working with remote start, it makes me almost think the PATS sensor near the key is what's bad, I'm planning to pull and check that connection soon but I wanted to post this in hopes of getting some responses before the sun sets.

2023.05.29 22:21 Commercial-Tell8661 Tapping into a fuse, located in the engine bay, looking for ignition only power?
I have a govee underglow kit I want to throw onto a 2010 V6 Ford ranger xlt extended cab, regardless of how bad it looks😂. I really don't want to connect these lights straight to the battery because I hate anything that draws constant power. I am hoping to tap into a fuse with a add a fuse but not only am I unsure on how those work, but I also can't find any details on which possible fuses in the engine fuse box are good to use with ignition power only.
For the add a fuse, I'm hopping that this will let me keep the fuses appropriate for their slot , while adding an extra low voltage fuse on top for powering the underglow with ignition power
I don't have any volt meter, and unfortunately cannot get one as of now, so I'm wondering if there is any fuse located in the engine fuse box that draws IGNITION ONLY POWER and if the add a fuse will let me keep the stock fuse and add an extra low voltage fuse for the accessory.
thanks!

2023.05.29 15:45 goldenmom4gr Transcription of two Marrotte interviews
This is a transcription of
this post MAROTTE INTERVIEW 01/10/2006
13:30hrs
Marotte Interview
(noted in handwriting as "1st")
I went to the Marotte residence and spoke to Marotte, who is a retired railroad man. He told me right away that he is tired of everyone bothering him, and although he wishes someone would find Murray, people keep upsetting the neighborhood. In fact this past weekend, two women from WMUR TV came and talked to him after driving up and down the road in front of his house several times. He said he yelled at them and refused to talk to them about the incident involving Maura M.
Marotte agreed to talk to me about what he knew as I stood outside his front door. He told me that after the crash happened, he looked out and saw someone walk around the car twice. He said then he saw Atwood in his school bus come by about 5 minutes at the most, later, and then saw him back his school bus into his driveway as usual soon after. Marotte said he never went down to the accident scene that night. He said that it was very cold, about 10 degrees, and it was starting to snow outside.
The next morning, Marotte said that he went outside and there was a coating of fresh snow on the ground ...not much more like a dusting. He said that he saw footprints going on a trail behind his house that leads to the dead end road that goes up beyond the barn on the corner. He said he thought they belonged to a Fish and Game cop but wasn't sure. Marotte went down to the scene in the morning and talked to someone who was down there. He saw a pool of red on the ground and thought it might be blood, but was told by that person that it was wine that had been dumped out.
I asked Marotte what he knew of B Atwood. He told me that he seemed nice but didn't know him very well at all. He said that he was friends more with Forcier who lives still on the corner of Bradley Hill Rd and Route 112. He said that they would yell back and forth at each other in a friendly-like way. Marotte said that he had been told by someone in the past that Forcier might be a suspect and that Forcier had moved a trailer that he had had there on his property but knew nothing about him at all.
End of Statement
(Personal Notes)
In the Rathbun statement there were indications about Marotte's pick up truck a red Ford F150 with a black cap on it. I saw it there behind the residence, bearing NH registration xxx. The Rathbuns had said that they saw the license plate from the road near the crash site, and from my observations, that did not seem possible at all.
SECOND MAROTTE INTERVIEW Date of Report: January 29, 2006
Report Prepared by (blocked out)
J Marrotte was interviewed via telephone, relative to certain events concerning M Murray that occurred on February 9, 2004. His wife Virginia listened to some of the interview and stated she was in agreement with what her husband was telling me.
Marrotte stated that sometime between 1900hrs and 2000hrs on February 9, 2004, he went to the kitchen sink inside of his residence to get a glass of water. As soon as he got to the sink, he observed a car with its trouble lights (four way flashers) on. The vehicle was on Route 112, now known as Wild Ammonoosue Road, with the front end facing toward Lincoln, New Hampshire. Marrotte said the car was approximately 250 feet away and at "somewhat" of an angle from his residence. Marrotte also said he had to look through several trees to see the car as well. He described the lighting conditions around the car as "poor" with the only area ambient light coming from a barn at the Westman's property across the street from the car.
Marrotte related he could see a person walking around the vehicle, but he could only describe them as a "shadowy" figure at best. He could not provide any further details of this person. He further stated that the car was off the road with the driver's side of the vehicle "on the woods side" with the passenger side along the roadway. He believed the car had been involved in an accident by hitting a tree and then backing up to the same tree. The vehicle then was positioned adjacent and parallel to the roadway. Marrotte noted that he did not hear or see the accident, but obtained this information from either the police or the "rumor mill."
Marrotte said he later learned that "this person" was in fact Maura M. He said he learned this from local news reports as well as the local and state police.
Approximately 2-3 minutes went by watching Maura Murray, and the vehicle, Marrotte said his neighbor, B Atwood stopped at this accident scene. Atwood was operating a standard large yellow school bus heading toward Lincoln. This was not unusual as Marrotte knew Atwood was a school bus driver. When he stopped, it appeared to Marrotte that Atwood opened the door of his bus and spoke Maura for only 1-2 minutes. Marrotte said he was "quite sure" Maura did not get into the school bus, nor did Atwood get out of the bus. After speaking with Maura, Atwood left the scene and backed his school bus into his driveway. Marrotte said he did not hear the conversation between Atwood and Maura.
Marrotte said he wished he could have helped more, but had no further information to proffer at this time. Marrotte said a "couple of days later" he observed a state trooper with a "search dog" in the area and knew at that time "something must be terribly wrong." He said he learned on this day that Maura M was the subject of an investigation by the state and local police.
Note by me G-mom: I don't know who, specifically, did the first interview. However, we can assume it was in the context of the NHLI. Also, APN did the interview of the Westmans two days earlier (Jan 8) so she is a possibility for the first, or someone else involved in the NHLI.
We know who did the second because of a post by Maggie F which contained an imgur of the first paragraphs (the following page of the imgur seems to skip to an interview of the Westmans and is marked as page 3 of a document)

2023.05.28 21:22 Junior_Button5882 Goochland Devil Monkey
| More on the Goochland "devil monkey" https://preview.redd.it/mrmsqgc7zn2b1.png?width=560&format=png&auto=webp&s=f9b1546984c2dec11300625ad64bf3037ddec4d2 Keeping the lid on the recent “devil monkey” post generated a few snide comments and a video on another site. All of the responses give little creedence to the sighting. The actual account of the initial sighting is quite different from the fatuous comments about a “devil monkey” floating around the YMCA. The creature, according to the stable, sober folk who saw it and wish to remain anonymous, stood on all fours. Its front legs were shorter than the rear legs. It had a long furry tail, pointy ears, and a long nose and was larger than a standard deer. The creature did display menacing behavior, including bearing its teeth. It bounded away in very long powerful strides. In short, this was not a deer, coyote or anything else normally seen roaming around the county. The sighting was made in the Courthouse Village area early in the morning a few weeks ago. Little creedence has been given to the sighting, even though those at its source have no reason to fabricate such a tale. The next person who sees this creature will probably keep it to themselves, unless they happen to have a camera. Emily Neal has put up a blog dedicated to the sightings at goochlanddevilmonkey.wordpress.com. The folks at Channel 12 must have had a slow news day, because they did a story about the situation and decided that the creature was a spider monkey. It seems like they called the Sheriff’s office, which declared the matter a hoax ; the implication being that people in Goochland are seeing things due to the cold weather and long nights. If the Richmond media is going to report on Goochland, its representatives should get in their trucks and come out here and investigate in person. Neal’s site has some interesting information. Please visit www.newanimal.com. The sketch on the right over the “animal” heading seems to embody the description of the Goochland whatever it is. As none of the reports indicate that the creature flies, it is curious that there have been no reports of strange tracks in the snow. If hunters have spied the creature they are keeping mum. There also seem to be no actual photos of the creature on those automatic cameras deployed in the woods to locate deer. https://preview.redd.it/oaiougs0zn2b1.png?width=337&format=png&auto=webp&s=366481bc5947daeab2ad9e095617825770ffc5ee While many people are ready to dismiss the notion of a strange creature found in the dark days of the year as a scary but entertaining story, what if there really is a new kind of critter roaming in Goochland? First of all, if it poses a threat to anyone, people should be made aware that these critters are not warm and fuzzy and will eat out of their hands. What if it turns out to be a new and endangered species? That could draw all sorts of environmentalists into our midst. What if they were to declare certain parts of the county protected habitats off limits to any activity? Let’s see the supervisors devise a new property tax rate for protected habitat. On the other hand, that could also spawn a new local industry, photo safaris to see and photograph the strange new creature. That would be an opportunity to create local jobs and revenue. Using ridicule to suppress information outside the realm of “normal” is a subtle yet effective form of mind control designed to discourage questioning of the status quo. It’s also a way to will the boogey man away from your door. Let’s see what sort of evidence may appear in the coming weeks before declaring these episodes a hoax. The people who have reported the sightings are solid, sober folk who have no reason to fabricate such stories. https://preview.redd.it/ta32bd05zn2b1.png?width=223&format=png&auto=webp&s=02a1b9b92911e67b5e64e475920933d099dcf9af 2 comments: Anonymous said... 2023.05.27 17:25 hairmanfirstclass Need a truck
Hello everyone, my 98 Ranger is breaking more than I'd like these days and I'm being told I should look for a more reliable vehicle. I'm kind of a Ford guy, but I have looked at other makes so feel free to suggest them. It needs to be a truck because I need to haul motorcycles. I'm military so not rich but I will be paying cash between my savings and some of daddy's money (sorry). Here's what I'm looking at currently
--newish 5.0 F150 4x4. must be a 4x4 because the places I need to park to unload dirt bikes and the roads to get to them can be sketchy and sandy, and must be 5.0 for towing ability and longevity. I will likely want to pull a car trailer at some point. My main issue with the truck is it's massive (I much prefer smaller vehicles) and tbh I just do not like the looks, it looks like a brick. I also don't want a vehicle packed with tech that will break or be annoying.
--gen 1 F150 Raptor 6.2. cool. super duper cool, obviously. If I got a Raptor I would off road it for sure, down in Arizona, though I'm not sure whether trail size makes actually off roading these things difficult. Love the lowerish tech of these (compared to newer trucks anyway). 6.2 like the 5.0 should last forever but mileage is ass compared to that engine. It's kind of old by now but I would expect to still be very reliable for a long time, though i would need to hunt around to find an example that hasn't been abused or hot rodded.
--24 ranger. I've been following the 24's release for a while and I like the new truck a lot. I'm sure I would want the 2.7 coming later this year, I would trust it more over the long term and with a trailer since it comes from the f150 than the 2.3. although i imagine neither would be nearly as long lived as the na v8s. although I know Rangers are not that much smaller than F150s these days, I have seen the 23 next to an F150 and the difference is not massive but very noticeable and would be nice.
Thanks for all advice👍

2023.05.27 17:05 alienabductionfan Last one at the party: 12 years ago, Maddy Scott went to Hogsback Lake to camp overnight for an all-weekend party, but after all the other guests went home she stayed behind alone. Her truck and tent were still there the next day but Maddy was never seen again.
Madison Geraldine Scott, better known as Maddy, was described by her brother as someone who was just as comfortable in a party dress as she was in oily coveralls. Maddy liked dirt biking, figure skating, horse riding, hockey, rugby, photography and making amateur movies with her friends. She came from Vanderhoof, a small mill town in BC, Canada with a population of <5,000 people. Maddy had a nose piercing and a tattoo of a falcon silhouette on her inside left wrist. She worked as an apprentice heavy duty mechanic with her father at MBG Logging. Maddy was said to be someone who would “give the shirt off of her back” to help a person in need. She was also described as having a fun-loving, playful personality and would often do things on the spur of the moment. She was 20 years old.
On Friday May 27, 2011, Maddy went to a party at Hogsback Lake with Jordi Bolduc, an old school friend she’d recently reconnected with. Maddy cancelled plans with her cousin to go to the party, probably because her crush was going to be there. Maddy and Jordi planned to
camp overnight. The party was thrown every year by the host for his birthday and took place over the entire weekend, with gatherings planned at the site on both Friday and Saturday nights.
The event was advertised publicly on Facebook. Maddy drove with Jordi to Hogsback Lake in her white 1990 Ford F150 pickup truck. On arriving, she realised she’d brought the wrong tent poles so she went home to fetch the right ones. Maddy briefly spoke to her mother back at her house, at which time all seemed well. Maddy returned around 9.30 PM. Jordi says the gathering turned into a “big party”. Around 50 people attended, most between 18 and 25 years old.
Timeline >
10 PM: Maddy retires to her tent Maddy retreated into her tent only half an hour or so after putting it up. Around this time, Maddy texted her parents to tell them her crush had told her he just wanted to be friends. Her parents say she was upset but nothing drastic. Jordi was busy hooking up with someone new and Maddy probably wasn’t in the mood to party anymore but she didn’t make any attempt to leave. She likely didn’t want to take down her tent after just putting it up and/or didn’t want to leave Jordi stranded, so she decided to stick it out. Maddy brought a six pack of beer and a bottle of wine, which she shared with Jordi and others. Unopened cans and some wine were recovered by police so Maddy didn’t drink to excess. Jordi says
Maddy was probably the most sober person there.
>
12:30 AM: Maddy receives her last call Maddy took a short call from an unidentified young man who is known to her family. Though the content of this call is undisclosed, based on what Maddy’s mom says it might’ve been the son of her parents’ friends who was apparently camping nearby. In any event, it is said to be of no importance to the case. There is no indication that Maddy disclosed any relevant information during this call but it’s notable because
this was the last activity on her phone.
>
Sometime before 1 AM: Jordi leaves Around midnight, a small group of people arrived who were unknown to the others. Jordi describes them as being from out of town. A fight broke out and Jordi was accidentally pushed into the camp fire, hurting her knee. It’s not clear what the fight was about but the gatecrashers quickly left after that. Witnesses say Maddy was in her tent during this incident and didn’t come out. She likely wasn’t involved, if she was aware of it at all. Drunk and mildly injured, Jordi now wanted to leave with the guy she’d started dating that night. Maddy begged Jordi to stay but Jordi really wanted to leave. She tried to convince Maddy to come with them but Maddy was already in her sleeping bag. “
She wanted to stay there with her tent for it to be safe. She thought it would be fine,” Jordi said. Maddy’s brother describes her as stubborn. Her mother says she liked having nice things and took care of her belongings. Jordi left in her new boyfriend’s vehicle, leaving Maddy behind, but there were still other people at the party at this point, plus Maddy had her truck.
>
1.30 AM - 3 AM: Everyone else leaves Between 1.30 AM and 3 AM (some timelines stretch this to 4 AM but most use 3 AM), other partygoers started leaving, even those who originally planned to camp. The fight may have soured the mood.
Some of those leaving asked Maddy if she needed a ride, which she declined. No one reported that she appeared inebriated or otherwise in need of help, though it’s arguable whether they were paying close attention. She was alone in her tent, by all accounts. The last people at the site other than Maddy were the party host and his girlfriend. Around 2.30 AM, they got into a disagreement and decided they were no longer going to camp. They claim to have offered Maddy a lift, which she turned down. It’s unclear whether Maddy knew she was the last one at the party at this point. Her mother says there’s no way she would’ve stayed if she knew she’d be totally alone.
>
8.30 AM - Jordi returns Maddy’s phone allegedly continued to connect to the same local cell tower until 8 AM, when the battery died or it was switched off manually. Around 8.30 AM, Jordi returned to the campsite with her new boyfriend to retrieve the belongings she left behind before heading to work. She says she found Maddy’s tent unzipped.
Her sleeping bag was pushed to one side and her rings were scattered on the grass. These were rings Maddy wore all the time, which had sentimental value to her. Jordi was slightly worried but apparently not suspicious. She didn’t try to contact Maddy. The party host also noticed Maddy’s tent when he returned to clean up around 10.30 AM. It was now zipped up (likely by Jordi). Since Maddy’s truck was still there, he thought she might be inside sleeping.
Investigation Maddy’s family weren’t concerned at first. Maddy was very independent and had planned to stay for the weekend. That night, a second party happened at Hogsback Lake with 150 people in attendance including Maddy’s sister, who didn’t yet know Maddy was missing. Because her tent and truck were there, there may have been some confusion as to whether Maddy was present at this second party too, yet no one had seen her since the early hours of the morning and her phone was inactive. Maddy’s tent was flattened when someone drunkenly fell on it, revealing it to be empty. On Sunday, Maddy’s parents drove to Hogsback Lake to look for her. They found her collapsed tent and locked pickup truck and called the RCMP.
The search for Maddy was one of the largest in BC history. They re-traced her movements throughout the day as she visited a liquor store and later bought snacks. She can be seen on security camera before heading to the party. In the early stages of the investigation, police thought Maddy was trapped or injured in the surrounding area: a patchwork of gravel pits, creeks, swamps, forests and fields. Hogsback Lake was searched by divers and boats, including its small island.
The lake is about 128 acres and 22 feet at its deepest, with 10+ feet visibility. The surrounding area has been searched by foot, quad, horseback, helicopter, cadaver dogs, car and truck. Search crews walked in lines, hand-in-hand. The helicopter search used infrared. The boat search included side-scanning sonar.
There was no sign of a struggle. Maddy’s tent, truck and belongings had been left unattended over the weekend but
nothing was damaged or stolen. Police examined Maddy’s sleeping bag and pillow, her purse, a camera, toiletries and jewellery, a hatchet, a cooler with wine and beer in it, a gas can with gasoline and motorbike boots. They found nothing of interest.
The only items missing were an iPhone 4 with a robin’s egg blue case and a large cluster of keys on a Gothic-style lanyard, which have never been located. Police presumed that Maddy left voluntarily, taking these items with her.
Detectives on the case say they have interviewed and ruled out all party attendees, including most of the 150 guests on Saturday night. Jordi became a popular suspect in the media but she passed multiple polygraphs and was cleared by the Scott family’s PI. In addition, Maddy was seen alive after Jordi left in someone else’s vehicle, which would mean both Jordi and the guy she just met that night would have to have returned to the campsite after 3 AM. Everyone else seems to have been ruled out, including the party host and his girlfriend, Maddy’s crush, the mystery 12.30 AM caller, a guy whose feelings for Maddy weren't reciprocated and a murdered man she was rumoured to be acquainted with. The RCMP stated: “we haven’t identified anyone that would have a grudge or had any reason to harm or cause Madison’s disappearance.”
Theories Voluntary disappearance/suicide: Maddy was close to her family. She had an active social life and lots of hobbies. She left on foot and without her purse, which her mother says she took everywhere. It’s questionable how far she could’ve travelled with no vehicle or money, and there are no witness sightings of her after 3 AM. Maddy’s mother also says she always shared if she had a problem and we know she was communicating with her parents that night. She had no history of mental illness. Maddy retreating into her tent could be seen as a sign of distress but we do have an explanation for that. She’d been turned down by her crush, so her reaction seems reasonable. Maddy was on dating sites and had probably experienced rejection before. I don’t think it drove her to run away or take her life.
Party conspiracy: Some people have suggested that Maddy could’ve had a bad reaction to drugs at the party. There is no evidence that Maddy ever used drugs but it has been heavily implied that they were present that night. In this theory, Maddy took something offered to her by another party guest, felt unwell, retired to her tent and died sometime between 1AM and 3AM, causing people to flee the site in panic. Instead of calling 9-1-1, the remaining attendees presumably then conspired to dispose of Maddy and stage a disappearance, either to protect their own futures or in fear of retribution from the person who sold them the drugs. But for this to be true, multiple witness sightings would need to be outright lies. A group of unknown number would’ve had to establish a pact of impenetrable silence that has held up for twelve years. The more people know a secret, the harder it is to keep it. Surely someone would’ve talked by now?
Accidental death: If Maddy had an accident after leaving her campsite, why did she exit her tent and where did she go? There was an outhouse 50 feet away across a gravel lot so if she needed the toilet it seems unlikely that she’d get lost. Any other errand (food, charger, first aid) would have required her truck. The search was extensive yet no sign of her travelling from the site was ever found. Witnesses reported a cougar in the area but there were no tracks, droppings, rips, blood or any other sign of animal activity. Maddy was outdoorsy and a seasoned camper, adventurous and perhaps a bit impulsive. The nearby trails are clearly signposted and it would’ve just been getting light at the time so maybe she went for an impromptu hike, though I question whether she would’ve been in the mood for a sunrise stroll or a dip in the lake after the night she’d had. Maddy did like photography but she didn’t take her camera. She took her phone but she didn’t get to use it. If she did leave voluntarily, I don’t think she planned to go far.
Foul play by known individual: Police thought Maddy might’ve left in a vehicle with someone she knew since she took her phone and keys, but she was still alone in her tent when the last witnesses departed. There was no activity on her phone between 12.30 AM and 8 AM. If a known person turned up after 3 AM, why would she now ditch the belongings she’d stuck around to protect? Why would she leave her own working truck to ride in another car when she very likely wasn’t over the limit? Maddy was friendly with a 28-year-old man named Fribjon Bjornson, who allegedly told friends he knew what happened to her after she vanished. There were rumours that he owed drug dealers money and that they abducted Maddy to teach him a lesson. Fribjon took a lie detector test and passed. Police cleared him of involvement.
Several weeks after being cleared, however, his severed head was found in an abandoned house. Police have said his murder is unrelated to Maddy’s disappearance. Foul play by unknown individual: Vanderhoof is off Canada’s
Highway of Tears, where countless women have gone missing or been murdered. Vanderhoof is linked to serial killer
Cody Legebokoff, though he was already in custody when Maddy disappeared. Maddy is sometimes connected to
Israel Keyes, who targeted random people at campgrounds and isolated locations, but he isn’t known to have been in the area at the time (he lived over 1000 miles away). The party was advertised on Facebook and could’ve attracted outsiders. The pushed-aside sleeping bag and the scattered rings might be a sign of some kind of sudden confrontation. If a person or persons unknown to Maddy arrived in a vehicle at the site after 3 AM expecting a party, perhaps they tried to interact with her. In the
campsite re-enactment photo, there’s a picnic table set up next to the tent. Maybe they became sexually aggressive. She put on her shoes, pocketed her keys and phone, unzipped her tent and got ready to run, planning to drive away and call 9-1-1. A struggle occurred, possibly involving a weapon. In this theory, the perpetrator(s) forced Maddy into their vehicle, dumped her phone and moved to a second location. Stranger abductions are rare, however.
Conclusion I believe that the witness sightings are accurate and that what happened to Maddy occurred when she was alone at the site. I also believe Maddy’s mom: I think Maddy was scared when she realised she was alone, which means I don’t believe she went walking through the woods for no good reason between 3 AM and 8 AM. I think the reason Maddy left her tent with her phone and keys in that timeframe is because she sensed some kind of danger. Since she didn’t reach her truck or call for help, I think whatever happened to her happened quickly. When the environment can kill, no foul play is necessary to explain a missing person, yet the wilderness is also home to many human predators who purposely seek out seclusion as a cover for their crimes. Lone female campers are particularly vulnerable. There have been no major developments in the case since the initial investigation but I continue to hope that Madison Scott will one day be found.
If you have any information that can assist police, please call the Vanderhoof RCMP on +1 250-567-2222 or Crime Stoppers on +1 877 222 8477. (If any of the information in this post is inaccurate, please let me know and I will amend.)

UPDATE: I can't quite believe I'm writing this sentence but the remains of Madison Scott were discovered today, on Monday 29th of May 2023, on a rural property east of Vanderhoof. Thank you to the commenters who let me know. Thinking of her friends and family. Rest in peace Madison Scott. Source:

2023.05.27 16:00 BaseballSeveral1107 SUVosis in cities must stop.
Before I start, let's categorize the SUVs:
- Crossovers, evolving towards station wagons and hatchbacks, but still SUVs so I'd categorize them as such, like Volvo XC60.
- Small SUVs, most common in Europe, like Dachia Duster.
- Big SUVs, mostly found in the US and Canada, but slowly coming to Europe, like Cadillac Escalade.
- Pickup trucks, most common in the US and Canada, like Ford F150, coming to Europe too.
I don't understand the SUV trend. It is neither ecological, nor economical, nor ergonomic, nor safe. The fingers of the inhabitants of half a block of flats would need to count how many I see in parking lots, streets, side streets and thoroughfares during a day or several. And inside is some little woman or guy from or to work, school, home or shop.
SUVs are gas-guzzling. This is simple physics. The more mass, the more energy it needs to move at the same speed. The engines of SUVs were designed specifically for off-road so 4 wheel drive is the standard in many of them. 4 wheel drive helps you in mud but doesn't help you slow down, so drivers can drive as fast as they want to, as soon as they don't plan on stopping. The worst are pick-ups which have even more ridiculous fuel consumption, because they are for off road and transporting heavy stuff in the wilderness of Canada and Northern US.
SUVs are not eco-friendly. Here we return to their fuel guzzling.
The ergonomics of SUVs and pickups are terrible. One such can take up from 1.5 to 2 parking spaces. And that's not an exaggeration. Pickup trucks often have to stand on the pavement, for the inconvenience of the pavement, just to fit in and not block the roads. In one parking lot near my block, I see an SUVosis where cars jut out on both sides of the road and a second space so as not to block either of them. Passing SUVs on the streets of an old city is a tragedy.
And most importantly, they are deadly. A higher center of gravity equals a greater chance of a rollover, and a difference in height means zero chance for a car, pedestrian or cyclist. Especially pedestrians and cyclists. A normal car will simply scoop you up like a snow shovel on the roof, which sucks, but doesn't kill you in most cases. Small SUVs and crossovers hit you in the hips and head, you're even more screwed. Pickups and big SUVs are the worst because they sweep you under the vehicle where NOT. YOU HAVE. CHANCE. For survival. In addition, the higher height, so you will not see a small child, which is almost a guarantee of accidents in residential areas and cities. The blind spot in front of the hood of the SUV could fit 8 crouching children in a row, and none of them can be seen from the driver's perspective. In addition, the majority of drivers, not only in the US, but globally, according to manufacturers' research, are poor and dangerous drivers, using them to avoid the consequences of their actions. Such drivers don't think about other people, use their phones more while driving, are more risky while driving and obsessed with high status.
Source 1 and
source 2. And the higher, brighter headlights blinding everyone coming from the opposite side and in front of the vehicle.
People buy them to prop up their ego. They used to buy them when they needed them for hard work, for the countryside or off road. Now, thanks to the propaganda of the car industry, which has more money, people buy them, but the lines of more practical cars, such as the Ford Focus, are closed because almost no one buys them anymore. By the way, this turns into an arms race. People are concerned about accidents involving SUVs, so they buy bigger ones to win.
We should prevent it. But first the counterarguments. First of all, it's none of my business who drives what and that limits freedom and communism. But your freedom to wave your hand and drive an SUV ends where my face begins and the sidewalk separated by a green belt. Besides, it's my business whether, as a pedestrian, I get into an accident and whether this accident will not end in death. Would you have said the same thing when gun licenses were introduced and alcohol advertising and cigarette packaging were regulated to warn of the dangerous effects of their use? Secondly, you need space and you have to tow something. But SUVs don't actually have a trunk. The DACIA Duster has 408 liters of luggage space, and the FORD Focus 2014 (I own one) has 476 liters with the seats up and 1262 liters with the seats folded down. Of course you can fold down the back seats of an SUV but it won't make sense with families and you can do the same with the back seats of a station wagon. There's roomy goodness in every station wagon's trunk. Every family had one before automakers convinced the aging GenXers that what they needed was an SUV with a 1.2m hood. Besides, people who buy SUVs mostly don't carry anything bigger or tow any yacht or trailer. If you really need that space and comfort, there are minivans. For businesses, there are vans. They are easier to come out of and have low hoods so you see everything.
Also, there are no sports in Sports Utility Vehicles. There's no sport in driving an SUV (Unless you run over pedestrians and browse Reddit or Twitter).
We should prevent it somehow,
maybe even some petitions to regulate it or ban. Parking permits should be more expensive for SUVs to compensate for their size. Ads for these monsters should have warnings just like ads for alcohol and cigarettes. And getting registered and allowed to own one should be like getting a gun license, with a psychological test to make sure no psycho runs over anyone or anything. People who need them would be required to have a commercial licence.

2023.05.25 17:16 Zyphrost From PS3 to PS4 to PC… The wait is coming to an end.
I bought this game on the PS3 when I was 10 years old, when it had just come out and played it to hell and back. Then I got the Dark Arisen expansion, and completely wrung out every bit of content there must have been to get from that game, before it launched for the PS4 and I did it all over again.
Then came the PC port, and I replayed it again until my heart went hollow craving for more. Over the last decade or so, I must have made at least 10 different accounts across platforms for multiple pawns, and put in about 4,000 or so hours into the game.
I delved into every crevice of the lore and world of Gransys and Bitterblack Isle, went through all the content revealed through datamines, all of the cut content, all of the interviews, tweets, concept work, and more. I think the closest I’ve come to this much of an obsession with any other game is probably Dark Souls, but the latter was definitely a game I came into once I was much more mature.
Now I’m sitting here in complete awe of the sequel trailer, and it’s transported me all the way back to 2011, having randomly stumbled upon the two demos of the original game on the PS3 store, and I genuinely cannot express how excited I am.
Here’s some of my thoughts on the initial trailer:
• Beastren - It seems really interesting how they’ve brought them back from the concept work that was scrapped. Given how the original turned out, it’s definitely odd to see the Beastren in the new game, but it seems like they are a critical part of the story. The promotional text on the website implies that our journey as Arisen will be heavily centered around navigating the tensions of the human and beast races, so I’m cautiously optimistic to see how it pans out. I expect a lot of catgirl pawns and plenty of Ajani Goldmanes to make an appearance in the rift. • That One Emote - I don’t know if others picked it up or saw what I did, but the character being dapped up with the iron armor set and the red hair seems like the cover character for the original Dragon’s Dogma’s Fighter vocation, so it’s like a cute nod to the players of the game that it’s finally time to move on from the original and prepare ourselves for the next journey. A symbolic passing of the torch, if you will. • Weapons - I can’t tell much about the weapons right now and how the vocations will interact with them, but there seems to be a suspicious lack of dual-equipped weapons in most classes. This seems reminiscent of DDO, but it will then be interesting to see how classes that really made the previous game special like Strider and Assassin will be handled. I’m particularly wary about Assassin, since I settled on maining that vocation as my favorite after literally thousands of hours of gameplay. But I’m optimistic that the vocation system from the previous game will be significantly improved upon, especially with regards to upgrade paths and stat allocations. Maybe a mix between Dark Souls and Dragon Age: Inquisition? • Warrior - The warrior seems to be much, much quicker compared to the original game. That will be a huge plus and make the class more viable and significantly more fun for a broader player base. • Location - I think everyone’s already heavily building theories about whether this is set in Gransys or a neighbor, and whether it is set in the future or past. I do think that it’s not Gransys, just by virtue of the Bluemoon Tower’s location, but that it seems a bit hard to tell if it’s in the past or future of the original game. Can’t wait to get more gameplay and content.
Overall, I’m definitely hyped. I do wonder whether we will be allowed to link our old saves to the new game, and if so, whether cross-platform saves will be accommodated. A big part of the original game’s charm on replays was being able to fight your previous character as Seneschal, and I want to see some sort of mechanic like that return, but it will be interesting because there’s likely not going to be complete overlap between equipment across the games, as well as probably also not much overlap between character creation mechanics. The previous game wasn’t exactly decision-heavy, so let’s see how it pans out.
I’d love to hear what you guys are thinking and feeling about the sequel, and what some concerns are that you have about staying both true to the original game as well as novel enough to stand on its own two feet.

2023.05.25 01:59 DaItalianDeal 2013 SEL. Do you know the part number? And which fuse it is?
The memory seat and lock pad has stopped working altogether (locks work from key and seat adjuster on the seat still work). I tried locating the fuse to see if that was the issue, but to no avail. Ford has never gotten back to me with the part number. Anybody has had this issue? Any advise?

2023.05.24 14:35 moondog151 The Izhora Maniac: 4 bodies were found bound in a river. DNA tests would reveal that three of the victims were biologically related meaning that there was an entire family of Does.
| On April 12, 2008, a body was found on the right bank of the Izhora River in Russia's Leningrad Oblast. The body belonged to a man who was wrapped in plastic bags and a blanket, which had been tied together with tape and a car cable. The police ruled the decedent's death a homicide based on the circumstances, but no definitive cause of death was discovered. The man had been deceased for 2 months prior to his discovery. He was determined to be aged 50-70, 166 cm tall and was missing several teeth, possibly lost before death. According to an ethnographic study, the man was believed to be Slavic. The man alongside his missing teeth was also described as having a rounded head and fused eyebrows. He was wearing black "STILMEN" labelled trousers. and a yellow T-shirt. Police attempted to identify the man but nobody recognized him. On August 16, 2022, The Russian Investigative Committee produced a recreation of what the man likely looked like. https://preview.redd.it/2stm384cwr1b1.png?width=350&format=png&auto=webp&s=09e398ec46b625ea5775ae2f09fa6e0632e9c0e7 On August 27, 2008, the body of a man and a woman were found was found on the banks of the Izhora River, both were wrapped in cloth bags and blankets that had been tied together with duct tape and ropes., disposed of in an identical manner; both had died from multiple stab wounds. Police attempted to search for witnesses and other evidence including employing divers to search the bottom of the river in an attempt to locate any identification documents, but did not find anything. The police also entered their DNA into the Russian database but were unsuccessful in identifying them. An autopsy was conducted on both bodies, which revealed that the two were likely parents. They also believed that the two were married and that they had the child together since the woman was wearing a yellow metal wedding ring. The man was missing a part of his stomach which was removed during a surgery the man had undergone while still alive. The man was 45-55 years old and was wearing the following. A 48-50 size black knitted sweater with the inscription 'Kervan' written in Latin script, dark blue trousers with bright blue stripes, dark gray trousers with the inscription 'Dims' written in the Latin script, a red T-shirt with the inscription 'CAT Cactos raising' written in Latin script, dark blue shorts and dark grey socks with a pattern of the sign of the Zodiac-Sagittarius and the inscription 'Sagittarius'. The woman was wearing a green short-sleeved blouse with the inscription "XXXL", a beige bra, beige women's underwear, dark gray socks and the aforementioned yellow metal wedding ring on the right hand. The police investigated all cases of missing couples in 2007 and attempted to track down their child or children but to no avail. The case went cold due to a lack of leads. Divers searching the river On August 16, 2022, The Russian Investigative Committee also made a recreation of the man and the woman's faces https://preview.redd.it/tl3j80ogwr1b1.png?width=350&format=png&auto=webp&s=583b35c19d42212d2a335602a07db6391783ce49 https://preview.redd.it/z8ugn7bhwr1b1.png?width=350&format=png&auto=webp&s=00c0c681dff4d5e5c519006268071d7bcebe9fae The case would be reopened 13 years later when another discovery was made. On October 9, 2021, a resident of Telman village in Russia's Leningrad Oblast was magnet fishing in the Izhora River, trying to find coins or antiques from World War II. While fishing, the villager found a black bag that was tied shut and had a 12-kilogram kettlebell attached to it, causing it to sink to the bottom. A skull was found inside the bag, prompting the villager to call the police. The skull had been wrapped in cellophane and the rest of the skeleton was wrapped in metal wire. The police determined that the victim was a child, believed to be between the ages of 5-10, later revised to be just 7-10 and had been at the bottom of the river and dead for a year. The decedent's upper jaw was also deformed. https://preview.redd.it/t8om1a6lwr1b1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=2b429640327bae9fee2530f8547efbabc9eec7b0 https://preview.redd.it/hg87pcqswr1b1.png?width=418&format=png&auto=webp&s=6489bd5ca288772a26df014be882d84c991be4c7 https://preview.redd.it/bf9drp0xwr1b1.png?width=1043&format=png&auto=webp&s=e73c9e88b9599f4095e178ba5660e08494b64751 https://preview.redd.it/m0j5wks1xr1b1.png?width=550&format=png&auto=webp&s=f446f11498eabb23faaf597f00754ac7dd880fd4 Investigators initially believed that the decedent was 6-year-old Pavel Kostyunin, who had gone missing from St. Petersburg in 2011. Although the decedent's death was ruled a homicide, no cause of death was ever determined due to the state of decomposition. Despite the heavy decomposition, the decedent's clothing remained intact, so the police shared photographs of the clothing with the public. The kettlebell and bag were sold at a number of local markets, so the police investigated as many of them as they could, but were unable to track the purchase of the items. The child was wearing black shorts, a dark green T-shirt, with a fastening collar with an appliqué in the form of a lying bear cub on the chest on the left and a label on the inside in the neck area with the image of two panda bears and the inscription "Made in China", a black knitted sweater with long sleeves with a pattern made of fabric, in the form of an orange tractor with blue caterpillars and a beige stone on the chest. The tests revealed that the decedent was female. The tests also revealed who her biological parents were. There was just one issue, her parents were the man and woman found murdered in the Izhora River on August 27, 2008, and in the 13 years since they had yet to be identified. (I don't normally talk in the first person during my write-ups but I do think it's warranted here. Before anyone brings it up in the comments I am aware that the police are likely wrong about her age or how long she's been dead because otherwise she would've been born after their death) The discovery of the child led to the police reopening the case. First of all, the man who was killed in April 2008, although not related biologically was officially linked to the other three. All 4 were killed by an unknown serial killer that the Russian police and press dubbed "The Izhora Maniac" The police expanded their search looking into every single report of missing couples with a child the same age as the one found in the Izhora River starting from 2007 to the modern day. Despite how many cases they came across none of them matched the couple and child. Due to a lack of leads and reports the police believed that the family was either living a marginal lifestyle outside of society or were foreigners from countries outside of Russia. The most recent news was from February 2023, where the police were still appealing for information as the case was still unsolved and the 4 people's identities were still unknown.
