2023.06.06 04:49 Mhammond46 Found a 2012 Mazda 3i Hatchback for 3.5k

I'm looking at getting a cheap Mazda 3 hatchback for a daily just to drive me to college/work and back home. I found a 2012 Mazda 3 Hatchback with 198k Miles on it. It has a practically rust free undercarriage and a fully rust free body. It's a 1 owner who has had it since new and has changed the oil every 5k miles. I would like to know if I would have any reliability issues with it for the next few years that would be quite costly. I'm going to take another look at it in person again in a couple days and if there are any big things I should look for or ask before making this purchase. I haven't seen anything about the reliability being bad on 2nd gens around this mileage but wanted to ask people on here who have had experience with them. Thanks.

Server Restart Intervals Are At 5:40AM PST - 11:40AM PST - 5:40PM PST 11:40PM PST
BASE BUILDING: AT THE MOMENT TRADERS DO NOT SELL NAILS/FOOD/ARMOR, for a more survival feel we made base building a little more grindy than other servers for a better experience (MOD: BASE BUILDING PLUS), THERE IS NO BUIDLING NEAR PVP ZONES, HIDEOUTS, OR TRADERS (500m from Hideouts/Traders, 300m from PVP zones). Get your grind on and have fun with more of an immersive pvp building system. We have BasicTerritories/PVEZE Flag Zones. You need a flagpole to make a base & you need a flag fully raised on your pole to enable PvP. Since we use PVEZ the flags help in case you need to defend against a raid. The flag also helps keep all your items secure from poofing away. Sadly bases can be raided even with your flag pole lowered. So it’s recommended that you keep your flag pole raised.
ALL BASES HAVE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF VEHICLES THEY CAN POSSESS! Each base can have a max of 3 Land Vehicles & 2 Helicopters (This Is To Help Prevent Lag)
PVP ZONES/PVE: All PVP Zones contain either a military spot on the map, or Custom Keycard areas, Custom Key Cards spawn randomly around the map or in airdrops/military bases/bunkers.THERE IS ABSOULETLY NO KILLING OUTSIDE PVP ZONES, what ever damage you afflict on another Survior, that damage will come back to you, this a noob/pve setting of a server so show some respect.
KEYCARDS: There many different keycards you can get but they all are different. Some have different loot, some have mixed loot. Rare keycard rooms give 10x better loot than normal military/bm loot. There Is 2 Red/Black/Violet/Green Rooms. 1 Yellow/Blue/Med Lab/White Rooms.
Right Now The Keycards Ranging From Best To Worst Are Red, Black, Yellow, White, Violet, Green, Blue, Med Laboratory. There will probably be more in the future. Red Keycard Loaded but is suuuper rare.
(NOTE: Right now please don't fly into keycard areas. We recently added helis again and some areas are possible to fly into (AI will probably shoot them down but still we want keycards to be used to access keycard areas. ALSO When you open a keycard room it will stay open until server restart because the loot crates wont reset until after restart)
THE BUNKER: Right now there is currently 1 bunker on the server. You need a White Keycard to enter it & when you enter it turns to total darkness. You'll need a light or nvgs too see anything after entering. This place is worth checking out but be careful of possible chances of Zombies/AI. The bunker is really nice for finding blackmarket items and chances decent/guns/armoammo.
TRAVEL TRADER: We recently added a trader that can change locations and also change what they Buy/Sell! The Travel Trader Can Spawn At Any Keycard Locations (Based On When I Move Them) & Trades Rare Items Other Traders Might Not Sell Or Might Buy/Sell At A Discount!
TRADERS: Traders are all around the map and they only sell certain items there. Very high powered weapons cannot be bought a civ traders, they will most likely be purchasable at Blackmarket or not purchasable at all, you will need to scavenge your way around the map if you want to be the best, there are no handouts. Normal Civ Traders will have the essentials there to survive.
AI/BOSSES: AI spawn at all keycards/hideouts except Blue/Green Keycards. They have a chance to spawn anywhere else. There are 3 Bosses on the server. Killa, Zryachiy, the Goons. Killa spawns at Red/Black/Yellow Keycards. Zryachiy spawns at Prison Island. The Goons can spawn at Red/Black/White/Med Lab. The Goons are the rarest Bosses to run into right now while Killa and Zryachiy are about the same. Killa and Zryachiy can have guards.

2023.06.06 04:34 AWOLbunny I’m just kinda confused… help?

I’m just kinda confused… help?
So today I got gas before making a routine trip to pick up my daughter from her dad. While there, I had confusion at the pump. When I selected the debit option per usual, it said it couldn’t process the PIN (I hadn’t even entered a PIN or been given the option, this is my usual gas pump and this hasn’t happened before.) anyway, cancelled it and tried again, same thing. Somehow as I was trying to cancel out it came up with “Pay Inside after you Pump” and I again tried to exit out. Finally, ran it as credit and filled up. On my way.
During the drive (rather long), I realized I forgot to reset the trip meter. My husband likes it when I do this because he tries to keep track of our miles/gallon. Decided that, instead of filling the tank back up later, I would fill up again on my way home. He will have the car tomorrow so I wanted him to be satisfied, lol. So I filled up at the same gas station a second time and this time I remembered to reset the meter!
This second stop at the gas station, I was at a different pump and had no issues (ran as credit just to avoid the hubbub from before). Finished fueling up, got approx. 5 gallons, nbd. But before I left the station I got a text from my bank about suspicious activity. I realized I had attempted multiple different transactions at this station which is unusual for me so I wasn’t alarmed. Followed the prompts and came to find the purchase in question was for $1.00. I assume this was the “go inside to pay after” attempt, so again, no biggie— except I disputed the purchase because I did not consent to that $1 and I didn’t get any gas during that time. I had cancelled and properly paid for the actual fillup. Anyway, then my bank tells me my card is blocked and I try to call but it’s past business hours so whatever, I’ll call tomorrow, no big deal.
This all seemed fine but then a little while later (maybe 40 mins?) I received this text (pic). I do not bank with Wells Fargo nor are my initials WF… I would generally assume this to be a scam text for several reasons (from a 320 number but days to call 870 number, none of which seem to belong to my bank; initials that hold no meaning, no real identifiable details), except that it shortly followed my confusion at the gas pump which resulted in my card being blocked.
I have not responded and plan to contact my bank directly about this tomorrow to figure it out regardless. Is it a coincidental scam or is there a chance it’s legit and associated with the events from today?

2023.06.06 04:32 howdy_booty Status Question: American Airlines vs Alaska Airlines

I am in a unique situation. I am flying cross country every week for work and am looking to maximize my miles/status, but can't find relevant information that would pertain to my situation.
I am flying out of SeaTac and into Philadelphia and back to SeaTac every week. The ideal flight leaving philadelphia is on American, and the ideal flight out of SeaTac is on Alaska. I am currently using a matching credit card and using RocketMiles when I can. I have been at this job for about 3 months now, and am 5,000 miles shy of Platinum Pro. I think based on my math, I expect to hit Executive Platinum within the next month or two.
Since I am flying a mix of both airlines, how do upgrades work since I am currently Platinum with American when I fly Alaska? Are upgrades made available based on status level and then miles within that status level, or does someone with Alaska status trump me when I am flying Alaska airlines?
I will have no problem getting Executive Platinum or MVP 100k, but I don't think I can complete both, and getting upgrades on reward tickets tilts the math for me somewhat towards American Airlines.
If someone could shed some light on how the different status tiers are prioritized between airlines, I would greatly appreciate it. I spoke to an agent at the lounge, and she said she thought anyone with Alaska status would get first priority, but she seemed pretty new.
Thank you in advance.

2023.06.06 04:28 Unfair-Document-203 Looking for Advice about MSc in Finance

Hello citizens of FinancialCareers
I am interested in pursuing a master's degree in Finance and looking for any advices about the program offered by NUS. Most people agree that US / EU universities are the best in MBA programs, mainly because of the opportunity to break through more doors compared to those offered in Asia (and also because they have been around longer). However, from my POV as an SE Asia citizen (not Singapore) the financial commitment to pursue the degree in those region is too much. Therefore I explored programs that are available in Asia and Australia mostly.
NUS, of course, is one of the best universities (in terms of ranking) in Asia, but I would like to know more beyond this title. I tried contacting the admission of MSc in Finance program and they do not have any statistics about their program graduates to share despite having at least 4 batches of graduates by now. The only thing they shared with me is that graduates are employed in consulting, financial industry, yadda yadda. Standard stuff.
Therefore, I turn to reddit with hopes that there might be current students of the program or even alumni. Could you please advise me whether the degree is worth pursuing? Is getting a job in Singapore after graduating really hard as an international student of the program?
The main issue is, again, my own finances. While the cost of MSc in NUS is significantly lower than US/EU Universities, 60k + living cost could easily add up to 100k SGD and that is a heavy commitment for me. At the moment I am also looking into universities in Australia which, based on rank, is not as reputable as NUS, but they allow student pass to work decent amount of hours per week with decent pay. Thus lowering the overall cost of the program.

Get the course here: [Download Course] Chase Dimond – The Agency Acceleration Course (Genkicourses.site)
Our website: https://www.genkicourses.site/product/chase-dimond-the-agency-acceleration-course/

If your agency is making between $10-30k per month, you’re sitting on an absolute goldmine and you have no idea.
After running my agency for 4 years, delivering over $100M worth of value to my clients, and generating 8 figures in total revenue, I’ve realized that any agency can be a massive business with the right mechanisms in place.
When I began building my agency in 2018, it was a good business for me and my partner.
It put food on the table, and we were able to help to grow other businesses that we were passionate about.
We didn’t realize at the time that the only thing keeping us at the mid-6-figure per year mark was our own mental blockages.
Just about any agency can be an 8-figure a year endeavor, especially if you do it the way that we’ve done it.
Most agency owners in the $10-30k per month range operate within a freelancer mindset.
You struggle with hiring, you struggle with building processes, and you struggle with scaling.
You do not have a demand problem.
For every agency, there are at least 500 potential clients with a problem that your agency can solve, and they’re willing to pay good money for you to do so.
With the right offer, 100-200 clients will be enough for you to have an 8-figure a year company that will sell for a multiple that could be in the range of 6-12X.
This course consists of 10 modules with text and video, plus 3 bonus modules that outline everything you need to know about:
  • Building systems for scaling fast
  • How to diversify your lead generation to never have an empty pipeline again
  • Assembling a team of people who care about your company’s vision as much as you
  • Remaining profitable as you scale
  • Avoiding mistakes at the intermediate and advanced levels with your business
  • The steps you need to take to sell your agency for 8+ figures
As long as you have an offer that’s proven to work in an industry that’s likely to continue to exist in 10 years, you have a multi-million dollar opportunity at your fingertips.
At the $10-30k a month level with an agency, you’re currently working harder than you will be at $100k a month.
The good news is, you’re only a few months away from hitting that target profitably if you do exactly what I outline in this course.
After thousands of mistakes in the building process, I know exactly what I’d do if I had to start from zero.
If you’re just starting, you have the opportunity to build everything right and avoid 90% of the mistakes that we made in the early days.
Instead of taking 4 years to scale to ~8 figures like my team and I did, you could potentially do it in half the time.
Before you buy, you need to understand this.
This course will work for any agency in the digital space, but it is not for beginners.
This is not to show you how to land your first client and find your niche.
This will only work if you have at least 2-4 clients and you already understand your offer.
My strategies for client acquisition, client retention, offer structure, team building, and systems will only work if you already have the foundations in place.
If you’re above $60k a year but below $1M a year, this will work for you.
Inside, I also share information about my agency that I’ve never shared before.
I do a deep dive into everything that’s allowed us to scale from high-6-figures in 2019 to high-7-figures in 2021.
Everything from the way you need to think about things, to the way you need to execute things.
I leave nothing out of this.
If you’re ready to scale your agency from $10-30k a month up to 6 figures a month, click below to get access to everything you’ll ever need today.

2023.06.06 04:14 arkoehler Hiking suggestions near Breckenridge this July

I've been gifted the opportunity of a conference in Breckenridge this July. I'm thinking of a short (40ish miles) trip before or after the conference. Any suggestion of hiking routes or wilderness areas that are a must near Breck? I won't have a car, but I understand there is a free shuttle to the Colorado trail/CDT 4 miles north of Breck. would love any suggestions.

2023.06.06 04:13 Short-Ad-7518 The loneliness Pandemic and dating apps

This will get long so I appreciate the time of anyone who takes the time to read this and provide their opinion. I (M24) and my ex (F25) were in a 5 year relationship and broke up roughly 7 months ago. Having only been 19 when we got together, the dating ecosystem has changed dramatically since I was last single.
I spent the first few months embracing immense pain and loneliness, increased my frequency and intensity at the gym, endlessly consuming content to help me understand the psychology and biology of dating, break ups and attraction.
As the months passed I developed a fixation on self Improvement and have tried many practices to improve my self perception, to feel like I love myself and can truly love someone else fully without doubt and fear. Admittedly over the last few months, at times I feel consumed by loneliness. I have some close friends I've had since high school, I play soccer with a great group and also have good relationships with my family. All things I am deeply grateful for and I don't mean to take that for granted.
But I became used to a deep meaningful connection with someone I loved so deeply, I miss the I loves you's, the cuddles at the end of the long days, the feelings of purpose and fullfilment, the engaged conversations and feeling of progress in life when moving forward with a serious relationship. Due to this, I concluded after 7 self reflective months, it was time to put myself out there again, I downloaded all of Tinder, Bumble and Hinge to set up profiles and see what may be out there, you need to buy a ticket to win the lottery, you know?
With that being said, it's been a week and I find myself quite frustrated, in a range of ways. I understand dating apps can be brutal for men given statistics such as women swiping right on tinder only 5-10% of the time. However, I found some brief success with 15 matches and Tinder waving another 15 likes in my face trying to prompt me to pay for Tinder premium. One of the main issues is a lack of replies, the seemingly ridiculous high standards of women on these sorts of apps, and how boring almost every conversation tends to be.
There truly feels to be no connection, just a drive for everyone to get validation or engage in modern hook up culture. Apps are artificial and inconsistent especially for men, they also try and use your loneliness to bribe you into paying for a service that is portrayed as being free. I know its only been a week and perhaps I need to display the same sort of patience I did while processing some intense emotions, but I find myself growing more and more cynical about the world in general but specifically dating as a whole.
To be entirely self reflective, I turn 25 this month and find myself often reminiscent of my last relationship, missing so many aspects of the dynamic that I often question will be possible to obtain again, even if I find something serious I'm unsure if I can love someone and trust someone so unconditionally as I have previously. I mean, especially for women there's always another option on instagram or any other social media platform.
Thank you for reading my narrative and this brings me to the concluding questions; How do people deal with this ecosystem? Does anyone else feel so disconnected? Have you had a relationship in your 20's that felt life shattering at its conclusion but managed to find full and sustained love? Has anyone had success on these dating apps (specifically guys who don't earn 100k + a year and 6ft+ studs)? I feel a lot of emptiness and loneliness and need guidance and words of wisdom, any insight someone could provide would be appreciated more than you would ever know.
Thank you for reading.
Tl:Dr: 5 year relationship ended 7 months ago, spent this time self reflecting and growing, downloaded dating apps but find myself cynical about modern dating as a whole, need advice

2023.06.06 04:11 khoafraelich789 Here Are the 10 Cheapest New Cars You Can Buy Right Now

📷
The days of the sub-$10,000 new car are long behind us, and the days of the sub-$20,000 new car may not be far behind. But if a rock-bottom base price is what you’re looking for, a variety of models still deserve consideration. Many of them also get good gas mileage, which will help keep a lid on ownership costs for as long as you own one.
To help with your cheap-car search, we rounded up the 10 least expensive new cars. They’re ordered by base price from least to most expensive, and all prices include the destination charge, but not any cash incentives or taxes and fees. To make the list useful to as many car shoppers as possible, all prices include an automatic transmission, which bumps the price for some models that otherwise offer a manual. For cars with more than one transmission choice, the EPA-estimated combined mpg rating is for the automatic version.
Cheapest New Cars
  1. 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage ES: $17,650
  2. 2023 Kia Rio LX: $17,875
  3. 2023 Nissan Versa S: $18,595
  4. 2023 Kia Forte LX: $20,815
  5. 2023 Hyundai Venue SE: $20,985
  6. 2023 Nissan Sentra S: $21,145
  7. 2023 Kia Soul LX: $21,215
  8. 2024 Chevrolet Trax LS: $21,495
  9. 2023 Hyundai Elantra SE: $22,065
  10. 2023 Subaru Impreza: $22,115
2023 Mitsubishi Mirage ES
Price: $17,650 (including $1,095 destination) Combined fuel economy: 39 mpg
📷
2022 Mitsubishi Mirage Manufacturer image
Topping the list of most affordable cars, the Mirage is a subcompact hatchback with seating for up to five. The combination of a tiny 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine and optional continuously variable automatic transmission deliver impressive EPA-estimated gas mileage of 39 mpg combined, but it comes at the expense of performance; the Mirage is slow. That said, we thought it was reasonably fun to drive when we last reviewed it. In 2021, the Mirage got a refreshed face and revised rear bumper, an updated interior with new soft-touch materials, a new standard 7-inch touchscreen and standard safety features including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection across all trims. If you want a trunk, Mitsubishi also offers a sedan variant called the Mirage G4; with the CVT, it starts at $18,500.
2023 Kia Rio LX
Price: $17,875 ($1,125 destination) Combined fuel economy: 36 mpg
📷
2023 Kia Rio Manufacturer image
The Kia Rio enters the 2023 model year largely unchanged. Under the hood is a 120-horsepower, 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and standard CVT for a generous combined fuel economy rating of 36 mpg. An 8-inch touchscreen multimedia display with a rear camera and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard across the lineup; unfortunately, automatic emergency braking is unavailable until you move up to the Rio’s higher trim, the S.
2023 Nissan Versa S
Price: $18,595 ($1,095 destination) Combined fuel economy: 35 mpg
2023 Nissan Versa Manufacturer image
The Nissan Versa is packed with active-safety and driver-assist features you don’t often see at this price. These include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, reverse automatic braking, lane departure warning and high-beam assist. It’s also fitted with convenience features like cruise control, automatic headlights, push-button start and Bluetooth streaming audio. For 2023, the Versa gets an updated front end and adds optional Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for the base S model. Under the hood of the Versa S is a 122-hp, 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an optional CVT; the CVT is standard on higher trims.
2023 Kia Forte LX
Price: $20,815 ($1,125 destination) Combined fuel economy: 34 mpg
📷
2022 Kia Forte Manufacturer image
The Kia Forte’s base LX model (formerly called the FE) returns for 2023 with no changes aside from the new name. The most affordable trim is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and mated to a CVT. The compact sedan offers a commuter-friendly 34 mpg combined and is loaded with standard features such as a large 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and automatic emergency braking. Although the Forte is a good value for a daily driver, shoppers looking for plentiful cargo space won’t find it in this sedan’s small trunk.
2023 Hyundai Venue SE
Price: $20,985 ($1,335 destination) Combined fuel economy: 31 mpg
📷
2023 Hyundai Venue Manufacturer image
The Hyundai Venue makes the cheapest cars roundup as a faux SUV (i.e., it looks like an SUV and Hyundai calls it that, too, but all-wheel drive is unavailable, so we’ll leave it off the category). Advanced standard safety features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with steering assist, and a driver attention monitor. All models are equipped with 8-inch touchscreen displays with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; the base SE and mid-level SEL have wireless versions of both, too. Power for all versions of the Venue comes from a four-cylinder engine paired to a CVT. For 2023, the Venue gains a standard rear occupant alert system and a larger 4.2-inch instrument cluster.
2023 Nissan Sentra S
Price: $21,145 ($1,095 destination)
Combined fuel economy: 33 mpg
nissan-sentra-sr-2022-01-exterior-front-angle-sedan-white
2022 Nissan Sentra Car photo by Aaron Bragman
After a complete overhaul for 2020, the Sentra is more than just a bargain buy thanks to styling improvements and a tech-focused interior. Powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder mated to a CVT, the Sentra S gets a combined fuel economy rating of 33 mpg. The compact sedan provides a controlled, comfortable ride with sharp steering, but the CVT lacks the giddy-up of those in some competitors. Standard on the S are a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 suite of advanced safety tech, which includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear automatic braking and rear cross-traffic alert.
2023 Kia Soul LX
Price: $21,215 ($1,325 destination) Combined fuel economy: 30 mpg
📷
2023 Kia Soul Manufacturer image
Kia’s quirky, utilitarian Soul hatchback sees a handful of changes for 2023, including an updated front and rear end, new 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels, and a suite of standard safety and driver-assist features like automatic emergency braking, lane departure steering assist, driver attention warning, lane departure warning and a rear occupant alert. Power for all models comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a CVT. 2023.06.06 04:07 lc2015 Dog has gotten more spooked on walks - making walks very unpleasant. Help?

Our rough collie female who is 5 years old (we have had her since she was a puppy), has always had some level of anxiety when encountering new things/"scary" things - think flags/awnings, high pitched barks from schnauzers etc. She is our first rough collie and when people said how "sensitive" the breed was I did not totally understood what that meant. However, I do think she is unusually so even for the breed. That said she did go to classes with us for the first 2 years of her life. Additionally, I do quite a bit with her to mentally stimulate her with puzzles/hide & seek games with treats/toys and as a bonus we work from home.
Exercise wise my partner takes her in the mornings for a 1.5 mile off leash walk in a nearby park which is dog friendly, but not a dog park. Then, in the evenings I take her around our (not so urban, think actual small town/village with mostly quiet streets) neighborhood or again to another place where she can be off leash or at least on a longer lead on a hike. I would say she gets 4-5 on leash walks a week the others may be off leash or on a longer lead.
This leads me to now - in the evenings when I do take her out, I have her on an easy walker harness as her neck is so long & skinny. The harness helps with her pulling, and I do redirect her when she does pull by doing the old trick of stopping and turning around and then walking forward again. It helps for a little bit, then right back to pulling. Since we had a time change, and it is lighter for longer on our evening walks she is spooked by any little thing she sees/hears in the neighborhood. For instance someone taking a something out of their trunk spooks her. A kid talking up the street scares her (head up, ears perked and pulling begins). If she realizes we are turning towards home she will start pulling. Additionally any sound that remotely sounds like a "pop" terrifies her and gets her teeth chattering. In which case we sit (if it was just a one or two time thing) and wait, usually this calms her down if it doesn't - home we go.
To be honest, this has made walking her terrible. I don't look forward to it, and I have begun again with high value treats on walks & when she notices something scary I "yes" her, and give a treat. It does seem to help, but I am wondering what our options are. She is a very very good dog otherwise, super sweet/funny and well behaved inside. Offleash, she responds very well to commands and is a reliable dog.
I would like to take her to rally, which we have not done but I don't know how she would do with the unusual space/newness (she very much dislikes going into any "box" stores like Petsmart/etc - hence we don't now). Otherwise I am thinking of re-enrolling her in classes or working with a trainer who offers board & train with several weeks of classes afterwards working with us & her. Bottom line, we love our dog - we want her to be happy and are willing to work through it & spend a bit of money if that helps too.
The other thought is, is my partner taking her off leash elsewhere too often? Are the neighborhood walks too infrequent for her to be used to the noises?
Thanks all!

2023.06.06 04:04 Censius Across the Spider-verse is great... But the first one is better and here's why.

I'm gonna get straight to it. Across the Spider-verse is still a fantastic movie despite my small niggles, so don't get me wrong here. I still consider this a 9/10. There are a few minor differences that I won't go super in-depth, so here's some brief, minor notes:
But the main reason the second one isn't quite as good as the first? The first Spider-verse movie is an emotionally stronger, more coherent, and relatable narrative. The first one is about a kid who is thrust into this situation that he doesn't feel worthy of. His hero is gone (because of him) and he feels alone and unworthy, especially compared to all these badass spider people around him.
The second movie kinda repeats the same emotional beats, but more rushed. They repeat the "don't ever feel like you don't belong" thing, but it's weird. Miles already felt confident as Spider-Man. And in the first movie it's more akin to "I'm not talented like Peter", in this movie it's more "I'm not a part of the web of destiny like Peter", which is not nearly as relatable. And after they kinda breeze past that emotional arc in the first half, the next emotional story is about defying the Trolley Problem. As in "I'm told if I don't let my dad die it'll destroy the universe, but to hell with it." I mean, for one, I kinda think Miles is being selfish here. But for two, it's just not as relatable. I've never been in a trolley problem situation before, and I've never felt like literally defying destiny.
All in all, still a great film, and perhaps even better in terms of art and animation. What do you think?

2023.06.06 03:59 Dogework Vehicle damaged by dealership bodyshop

This is a complicated one.
I took my $90,000 truck to the dealership where I bought it to get some scratches I caused removed from the roof. They were surface level, and not that big of a deal, but I went through insurance and took to dealer bodyshop.
After about a week the dealer calls me, telling me my truck was done. I drove 2 hours round trip, and found it wasn't done at all, the roof looked like garbage, was covered in polishing compound, and was heavily scratched.
2 weeks pass by, and the dealer calls again, saying they are still working on the truck, that they accidentally broke the windshield, buffing the roof didn't work, and were now painting it, and replacing the broken windshield.
They call me again and say it's all ready, and that they moved to a different building on the dealership lot. When I arrive I find out the the truck has been damaged in several ways. The headliner is bent, the interior is scratched in several places and very dirty, the roof has scratches on it, and the clear coat is burnt from buffing. The door has a new paint chip, and the dashboard has been damaged in at least one place. I brought this to the attention of the employee there, and she said the bodyshop is now closed, and all of the employees were fired, or laid off, and I have no further recourse. The remaining manager comes out, and basically says the same thing. They said I could potentially go to the other manufacturers dealer a few miles away, who they have a deal with. They advised I call my insurance and it would be all straightened out. They tell me to pay, and get my truck out of there, as there's nothing else I can do. I also found out that the windshield is a different model, and not the same quality as OEM, they never told me this.
I called my insurance, and they called the shop, one of the two remaining employees spoke to the insurance rep, and lied saying none of what I wrote above was true, and that the truck wasn't damaged, and the work was all completed.
I am in MO, and the dealership is in KS. Any suggestions on what I can do? I don't want to start another claim, and pay another $1,000 deductible through insurance, which will likely raise my rates. Nor do I want to pay thousands upgrading to a 2023 or 2024 truck, but it's looking like that may be the most economical method. I will be disputing the payment I made with my credit card company once it posts.
Thanks.

2023.06.06 03:46 amoeba953 Rating cities in my general region

New Orleans, LA: 6/10
My birthplace. The city is teeming with culture and history that spans over 300 years. Most of the touristy parts of the city are pretty walkable, with added street cars. The French Quarter is full of tourists, but fun, and Uptown, and the Marigny is more laid back, truly something for everyone. The food is amazing and having Mardi Gras off is always a bonus. On the flip side, the crime. It’s never been good but since 2020 it’s been really fucking bad. Carjackings and homicide make the nightly news every day. The streets are also always buckled or full of potholes on account of the city being below sea level. Also the city sits in one of the most hurricane vulnerable areas in existence. Katrina displaced us for a year, and every time we’re in the cone for a storm, everyone that remembers Katrina has PTSD flashbacks.
Gulfport/Biloxi, MS: 7.5/10
This is the closest metro area to New Orleans on the gulf. A lot of people from NOLA have beach houses here, especially in Bay St. Louis and Pass Christian. It’s much more laid back than NOLA and everything here revolves around the water: Fishing, boating, sailing, seafood, etc. Biloxi also has the most casinos between Vegas and Atlantic City. Mardi Gras is a thing here too. The beaches on the mainland are alright, (free, parking everywhere). The water is kinda murky, but there are undeveloped barrier islands 10-ish miles offshore that you can get to by ferry or private boat (which most people here have) and the water there rivals Florida’s. Hurricanes are a problem here too. Katrina absolutely fucked this area up, like worse than New Orleans.
Mobile, AL: 4.5/10
Where I go to college. The city is a big port destination. The downtown area is reminiscent of New Orleans but not nearly as cool. They claim to be home to the oldest Mardi Gras Parade, but it’s much more low budget and less fun than NOLA’s. Local cuisine is good. Crime is pretty bad but could be worse. Outside of the downtown core is basic American suburban hell. Terrible traffic, 6 lane roads lined with strip malls, fast food, and storage facilities. The city is not walkable whatsoever. I got hit on my bike here. Pretty good beaches are an hour away in Gulf Shores with a shit ton of touristy things to do.
Jackson, MS 2/10
This city is basically the Detroit of the South. It’s basically New Orleans if you took everything away except crime and rap music. There’s nothing to do here. The city is economically crippled bc all the white flight gravitated investment to the suburbs, which are a world difference from the city itself. You always play Russian roulette when showering, washing dishes, or drinking tap water bc you never know if it’s contaminated. From 2010 to 2020 the city shrunk more than anywhere else in America with a population over 100k. Nothing redeemable about Jackson.
Atlanta, GA: 5/10
I don’t personally like Atlanta as a sports city that much being a Saints fan an everything, but there’s a shit ton of things to do here. Six flags, aquarium, coke world, Stone Mountain, sports games, you name it. The city does not deserve to be called southern though. Nothing about this city is southern. It’s full of northern liberals that know nothing about Georgia outside of their little bubble. There’s also some pretty rough ghettos on the south side of town too. Traffic is abysmal at best, and stuck for days in the snow on the interstate at the worst. It takes 2 hours to cross the city. Atlanta is close to the mountains though, which is pretty nice.
Nashville, TN: 7/10
I haven’t been to Nashville in a while but I can’t remember a bad trip any time I’ve visited. The downtown is pretty hip. If you like country music, this is Mecca for you. The Cumberland River runs right through the heart of the city, which I’ve rowed with my crew team. Nissan Stadium, where the Titans play, is right across the river from Broadway and is connected by a pedestrian bridge. Outside of the city there’s a lot of lakes and low mountains to explore, but it’s being ever encroached by suburban sprawl.
Baton Rouge, LA: 4/10
I lived in BTR for a year after Katrina. The only things to do here revolve around LSU. No disrespect to LSU tho, games in Tiger Stadium are electric. Joe Burrow is basically Jesus here. There’s a crime problem here but not the same level as NOLA. There’s also a lot of chemical plants around, being on the Mississippi River and all. Traffic is really fucking bad since there’s only one bridge crossing the river so it all gets bottlenecked at rush hour. The city is 90 minutes from NOLA if you get too bored, which you will eventually.
I might do more cities outside of the south, idk yet.

2023.06.06 03:45 Mel1on Finally prescribed ADHD meds and all I do is get worse. [TLDR at the bottom]

Howdy everyone, I’m in a bit of a predicament but I’ve read that others here have medicine problems too so I’m here asking for help or advice. I started taking Strattera at 25mg for my ADHD about a week ago. I’m extremely lightheaded yet I feel heavy like all of me is filled with cement. There’s also the random occurrence of being out of breath even if I’m sitting, as if I ran 5 miles with no breaks. I also get TV static hands for no reason and not only do I have tremors now, my calves and biceps will flex/tighten. I have basically zero muscle so it’s just my legs and arms stressing themselves making by body shake more after. I cant think about anything except college and how I’m organizing my specific assignments. I may be thinking about how to write this right now and have music playing but I still have my assignment in the back of my mind. I was going through all my other medications to see if it should or shouldn’t mix but my SSRI’s (and I don’t remember but I’m pretty sure none of my medications are MAOI) are all safe to mix along with the other stuff that I don’t remember what the letters of the abbreviation are. I’m a 5’5, biological female, 113-117lb and a pinch of years over 19 years old. I know minors take Strettera too but I didn’t know if it also has to do with weight/height/gendeage. I’m supposed to up the dosage to 40mg in the morning and I’m scared of the future results. Is there any way this will go away or will it get worse with the higher dosage?
TLDR: Started Strattera at 25mg a week ago and upping it to 40mg in the morning. I got h*lla bad tremors, dizziness/lightheaded, feel like I’m made of cement, cant breathe randomly, obsession on college assignments. All of this happened once I started taking it. Will I get even worse at 40mg? (I’m a 5’5, biological girl, 113-117lb and over 19yrs)

2023.06.06 03:44 Massive_Level_7127 How Do Wireless Bluetooth wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones Work?

How Do Wireless Bluetooth wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones Work?
I believe you also have the common experience that when we eat cookies, even if we cover our ears, we can hear the cracking sound of cookies. Or when we scratch our head, we hear the sound of fingers rubbing against our head. This is actually the most common example of bone conduction. The vibration of a cookie or the friction of the head is transmitted through the skull to our inner ear, which helps us to hear sound. This sound transmission method has also been cleverly applied by scientists to wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones, and in the past 2 years, they have become the most popular digital product.

So, what are wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones?

Wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are headphones that are worn differently from traditional headphones. And their don’t need to tuck earbuds into ears like that common headphones to help sound transmit to the eardrum through the air in the ear canal. They are generally hung on the pinna, so that the sound unit is placed against the temple. And the mechanical vibration signal of the sound unit is transmitted to the auditory nerve of the inner ear through the skull, and finally the sound is heard.
Wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are actually a new application of mature technology. Because of its high technical maturity, its performance is very stable, and its reliability has been widely recognized. This is also the reason why wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones can become popular so quickly and are recommended by many professionals.

How wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones work?

How can you hear the sound without putting headphones in your ears? Many people have such questions. To understand how wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones work, let’s first understand how humans recognize the sound.
You may think that humans hear sounds with their eardrums, but this is not accurate. The sound we normally hear is vibrations in the air entering the ear and hitting the eardrum causing it to vibrate. Humans perceive the vibration of the eardrum through the cochlea located deep in the ear and transmit this information in the form of sound to the brain to perceive sound. In other words, humans perceive sound through the cochlea. From this perspective, humans hear sound through the cochlea.
Wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones make good use of the above-mentioned mechanism of the cochlea to perceive sound. They apply vibration directly to the facial bones, and the facial bones transmit the vibrations to the cochlea, where the sound is perceived by the cochlea.
We can compare the difference between bone conduction and traditional sound transmission paths to understand more deeply how wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones work.

Bone conduction path: sound wave, cranium, bone labyrinth, inner ear lymph,Spiral organ, auditory nerve, cerebral cortex auditory center.
Traditional sound transmission path (i.e. air conduction path): sound wave, auricle, external auditory canal, eardrum, auditory ossicles, vestibular window, internal and external lymphatics, spiral organs, auditory nerve, cerebral cortex auditory center.
We can see that the sound transmission process of wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones does not need to pass through the eardrum, its sound transmission path is shorter, and it will not damage the eardrum.
So how to choose wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones? I think you need to pay attention to three key points: sound quality, sound leakage reduction and comfort. Here are some excellent headphones recommended to you.

1, Wissonly Hi Runner wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones

Reason for recommendation:
As a veteran electronic product fans, I can responsibly tell you that the Wissonly wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are true bone conduction, which can protect hearing, so they are recommended by many otologists.
At the same time, Wissonly Hi Runner is also very good in terms of sound quality. It uses a 360 surround vibration unit, which can increase the vibration area by 35% compared with traditional wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones. They reduces the loss during bone conduction sound transmission, and which makes the sound more powerful.
Wissonly Hi Runner wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are made of memory titanium that can be self-adjusted, which can ensure that the headphones have a good wearing experience and take into account more users.
In terms of functionality, as the flagship model of Wissonly Brand, Wissonly Hi Runner supports IPX8 waterproof level which is higher than the industry standard, and it can be worn in diving. It is equipped with 32G body memory, as well as the latest Bluetooth 5.0. Its product performance and experience have been comprehensively improved, truly making wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones suitable for more life scenarios.

2. Philips A6606 wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones

Reason for recommendation:
This Philips A6606 wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones, with its comfortable silicone surface, is comfortable to wear. It is ergonomically designed, so that it will not fall when it is firmly worn. Its IP67-level depth waterproof standard makes you easy while sweat during daily exercise. This model is equipped with a night run lamp device, and while running at night, it can make cyclists or vehicles notice you. This is a very thoughtful design. It is equipped with Bluetooth 5.2 technology, which has faster transmission distance and lower power consumption than 5.0, but this one can’t be used in swimming.

3.AfterShokz OPENRUN PRO wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones

Reason for recommendation:
Openrun PRO wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones do not need to be plugged into the ear when worn. With minimal impact on the ear canal, they will not harm the ear canal and eardrum. They are also equipped with the newly upgraded PremiumPitch 2.0+ technology, which has a high degree of sound restoration and better sound quality. They also use Bluetooth version 5.0, which improves the stability of Bluetooth connection and brings lower power consumption. But this one does not support MP3 mode.

4.Earsopen PEACE Bone Conduction Headphones

Reason for recommendation:
Earsopen PEACE is a bone conduction headphone with a novel wearing method. It adopts a clip-on design, which has a certain stability in wearing. It can be worn only by clipping it in the ear canal, and it also supports single ear wearing. IPX7 waterproof performance can also be easily competent for waterproof and sweat-proof work. With the charging case, it can complete the daily wear and use of electricity for nearly a week. The only disadvantage is that the price is slightly higher and the charging case area is a bit bulky. If you carry it in a sports field, you will feel a certain weight, and you will feel uncomfortable if you wear it for a long time.

5 Nank Runner CC3 wireless Bluetooth bone conduction headphones

Reason for recommendation:
Runner CC3 are equipped with the latest Bluetooth 5.3 chip. They can achieve stable connection during exercise, and even when you are running in the mountains with poor signal, there will be no disconnection with them.
They are also equipped with MP3 mode with 4G built-in memory, which helps you to enjoy music when the phone is not with you. The Runner CC3 weight 28g, and is compact and very comfortable to wear.
Among the above five bone conduction headphones, Wissonly and Philips are the most worthy of purchase. Because they have the strongest technical accumulation in this field, the sound quality, reducing leakage and comfort of their products are very good. If you consider cost performance, we recommend you to choose Wissonly.

Hey there, readers! Here's chapter five for your reading pleasure! Please consider leaving a comment or review as those really do just pick me right up!
I've Been Reincarnated as a Bunny Girl?! (Chapter 5)
by
ShadowDragon88
A fine drizzle was coming down on the town of Starlight Rose. A familiar wolf-kin beasta in red robes that appeared to be shimmering despite the cloudy gloom of the day was walking along the main road. In his right hand, he held a long polished oak staff, topped with a red glowing gemstone the size of his fist. In his left hand, held away from his body, was a tan leather satchel, the drawstring tied in a knot. It appeared full, and seemed to shudder and wriggle. Felixin smiled and nodded to passing villagers.

"Hey there, Felixin," came the rumbling voice of Earl Shatterknuckle. The blonde dwarf, presently wearing just simple brown leather trousers, fell in step beside his taller friend. Felixin looked down at the dwarf, whose smaller frame was bulging with muscles, with blue and gold glowing tattoos tracing intricate spider-web-like symbols across his chest and arms, smiling back.

"Good day to you, Earl," the wolf said. There was a spitting-chittering sound coming from the bag, making Felixin pause and frown before giving the satchel a good whack with his magical staff. "Quiet, you!" he hissed at it.

"Caught yourself another evil spirit, eh?" Earl said with a smirk.

"Oh yes, and this one was quite the nasty piece of work. I'm on my way back to my lab to properly dispose of it. I think it's from some destroyed remnant of Eld technology, one of the ones that gained sentience, or at least some spiritual semblance to it," Felixin said as he gave the bag another whack when it started to make some electronic beeping sounds.

"Oh?" Earl asked, curious. "I remember more than once we had some nasty run-ins with Eld-tech back when we were adventurers."

"I remember you and Melthi being the ones to turn the blasted machines on, both times when cautioned not to," Felixin said pointedly, making the dwarf chuckle.

"What can I say? We're both curious by nature!"

"Yes, that's one word for it," Felixin said with a smile, remembering his adventuring days and the party of friends he would regularly travel with. "Anyways. For some reason, about six years ago, they suddenly became much more prevalent. Thankfully, their numbers have been dropping back down over the years."

"What makes you think this one is from Eld tech?"

"It kept saying 'Does not compute!' over and over again, while also identifying some kind of rabbit threat." Felixin's mood seemed to shift and his ears laid back on his head, while his tail dipped, almost long enough to drag on the ground behind him. "And when it mentioned rabbits, it made me think of my little princess."

Earl rolled his eyes as he reached up and clapped the town wizard on the back. "Ah, Kiana'll be back to visit before you know it."

"I know... it's just, one minute she was this little delicate baby girl, and the next minute, she was this amazing young woman, all ready to up and go out."

"Didn't Kiana kick down a couple of brick walls when she was a baby?" Earl asked, scratching his head. Felixin waved a dismissive paw at that.

"Pure coincidences. Those walls were clearly unsound and improperly constructed, so much so that when she was having one of her tantrums just a little punch or kick was enough to send them tumbling down. We're lucky she wasn't hurt or scared, just confused and curious more than anything. Anyways, I just get so worried when I think of her, out there on the open road. Just so... vulnerable. Thankfully I made sure to instill in her a proper sense of caution." Earl snorted at that.

Meanwhile...

Kiana let out a roar of fury as her trusted tetsubo connected with the raised steel shield of the bandit before her. The metal dented and warped just as the bandit, shield and all, became airborne. They traveled in an arc straight towards a stone tower connected to an old run-down fort the bandits had holed up in. The screaming man smashed into the top of the tower, crumbling it, his screams instantly going silent.

"Fire!" Kiana heard a deep voice shout. There were several blasts and, thanks to Kiana's speed, she watched as five cannonballs headed in her direction. To the ordinary person, the black metallic spheres were probably nearly impossible to follow. To Kiana, it looked as though they were moving incredibly slow. She simply stepped aside from four of them, letting them explode into the nearby hillside. As the fifth one hurtled her way, she crouched slightly, raising her tetsubo like a baseball bat. She swung and smacked the cannonball, her tetsubo making a loud DING, and sent it flying right back where it had come from. The two bandits manning the cannon were obliterated along with the weapon itself, as well as a good chunk of the fort wall.

"She's some kind of demon!" one of the bandits cried. The man, really more of a boy, no older than Kiana, leapt down from the fort wall onto a carriage they had recently stolen from some traveling aristocrats. He then leapt onto the ground and sprinted out into the forest, stripping off the black cloak with the red eye in the center.

"DAMMIT!" the bandit leader cursed, pulling off his tricorn hat and dabbing his bald sweaty head with a handkerchief. While the remaining men were busy barring the windows or reloading and firing the cannons, he was gnashing his teeth. After a moment's hesitation, he pointed to a nearby subordinate. "You! Follow me. We'll unleash the troll on her."

The other bandit paled, audibly gulping. "Th-the troll? Are you sure th-that's wise?" Just as he finished asking that, another cannonball destroyed another cannon, making the entire structure shudder.

"We don't have any other options. Hopefully, after it kills her, it'll be injured enough for us to finish it off... or the other way around if she kills it." The other bandit grimaced at the options laid before them, but nodded solemnly. Outside, Kiana smacked another cannonball back at the cannon that fired it, being careful not to send it flying towards the base of the tower. According to one of the kidnapped merchants that had managed to escape and make it all the way to town, the cells where the bandits were holding their ransom victims were all on the ground floor. Kiana stopped when she heard a loud guttural roar, followed by a rapid series of loud BOOMs. Bandits ran by the windows and open holes of the fort, while the front gate slowly opened.

Out stumbled a massive creature. Its flesh was a dark brown, and had a texture not unlike tree bark. Its long arms and legs were thicker than the old oak trees in the forest near Starlight Rose. Its gnarled hands, with thick thorn-like protrusions sticking from the knuckles, balled into fists, fists that were as big as Kiana was tall. Its barrel-chest heaved, with white criss-crossing scars in its bark-flesh. It didn't have much in the way of a neck, and its head looked just like a tree stump, complete with root-like tendrils wriggling back and forth. It's mouth was partially concealed by the tendrils, until it reared back and opened its gaping maw, revealing rows of broken yellow teeth, to let out a bellow that shook the ground. From the top of its head grew two slightly spiraling branch-like horns.

"These idiots somehow managed to get a forest troll?" Kiana asked out loud, a smirk appearing on her face. "And this was only a gold-ranked quest? Something tells me I'm in for a sweet bonus."

The beast stopped as its knot-like eyes, of which there were at least seven, caught sight of the bunny girl. Up above from the second story windows and holes and from on the roof, the remaining bandits, many of them injured, looked down. Most were smirking, some of the more foolish ones shouted out taunts. The bandit leader stood there, looking grim-faced, but taking some satisfaction in knowing that despite their losses today, the annoying source of their problems was about to end, one way or another.

Kiana stuck the end of her tetsubo into the dirt, large and surprisingly quick thudding steps shaking the ground. The beast was lumbering towards Kiana, who didn't look the least bit afraid. While not intelligent enough to be truly sentient, the troll did have enough sense to know that its prey should be running. And the fact that it was just calmly standing there, staring at it, only angered it further. With a final roar, the forest troll charged forward. It balled up a massive fist, and swung straight for Kiana. Kiana swung her own fist, the two colliding.

There was a very loud, sickening crunch and pop. The bandits looked down in shock and horror as where the now screaming troll's fist and forearm had been, there was a bloody and jagged stump that ended just above the right elbow. The troll screeched and lunged at Kiana, hoping to impale her on its horns. But the bunny girl simply kicked, knocking the head clean off the rest of its body. The head bounced off a tree and rolled for a bit, settling in the dirt, a look of surprise on the stump-like face. The rest of the body tumbled over three times before coming to a rest near the make-shift stables, where the carriages and horses of the abducted nobles were kept. Kiana looked back up at the fort, making the majority of the bandits shrink back and shudder. A few of them began to wave white tablecloths hastily tied to sticks and tree branches.

A short time later the bandits, now in shackles, were being marched to the mechanical cart as the local sheriff and his deputies led them. Except for the severely injured ones, who were shackled to stretchers and loaded up into a seperate mechanical carriage. Kiana looked on as bodies were checked for possible survivors, there being very few to find, as the merchants and a few nobles were led by deputies out from the fort. Kiana smiled at them and nodded to their looks of awe, some of them having gotten a good look at the show of force the petite bunny girl had demonstrated. Ignoring the ones who shrank back away from her in fright, Kiana spotted the sheriff, a large older man in his mid-fifties with salt and pepper close-cropped hair and a matching mustache. He was wearing the classic green cloak, directing his deputies. He turned to face her as she approached.

"I think that's all cleared up," Kiana said, her voice chipper, belaying the fact she had a smattering of blood and gore staining her fur.

"I'd have to agree with you, young lady," Sheriff Tonsol said, his voice even. In truth, he had tried to avoid enlisting the aid of any adventurers until pressure from various merchants and nobility forced his hand. And even then he had expected it to involve a large party and, more than likely, some lives lost from the hostages. He was a little surprised when the girl reached into her satchel to produce a clipboard with a form on it, as well as an ink pen.

"In that case, would you mind signing this form indicating that I completed the job satisfactorily?" Tonsol looked at the form for a minute, and then his mouth curved upwards. He let out a chuckle and signed his name on the indicated line, writing in the date as well.

"Satisfactorily is putting it lightly, miss," he said, handing the clipboard and pen back to the bunny girl. "I had no idea that they had a forest troll in their possession. I went ahead and bumped up the reward."

"Oh wow, thank you, sir!" Kiana said, looking excited.

Tonsol smiled, something his deputies claimed to be a rare sight to behold. "Well, you earned it. I'm just glad you were able to get them to surrender without harming any hostages. Well, without them harming any more than the ones they did last time someone came out here to free them."

"I'm glad I could help!" Kiana said, bowing a little. "Now, I'm going to head back into town." She spread her arms wide and indicated to herself. "I'm really in need of a bath at this point."

"If you don't mind waiting a minute, you can ride back to town with us. It's faster than walking."

"Oh, thanks for the offer, but I'm good." Kiana waved, before jogging back to where she'd left her tetsubo and pack, Mirabelle coiled around it protectively. She grabbed the items up, quickly looking through the travel pack to make sure she still had everything, and nodded to herself, satisfied. She slipped the pack onto her back, then scooped her pet snake into her arms, and started to jog down the road in the direction of the town of Hengecliffe. Picking up speed, she rapidly became a blur, and in just a few seconds she was coming to a sliding stop in front of the town gates, startling a couple of bored-looking guards.

She greeted them and let Mirabelle down before they let her inside. They stared at the snake with the big pink ribbon around its neck slithering obediently behind the bunny girl. She stopped off at the local guild hall to drop off the signed paperwork and collect her now even heftier reward. She noticed a few stares in her general direction, and some unhappy grumbling from some fellow adventurers, but otherwise no one said anything.

Kiana then headed to the town inn where she still had a room for another night. Thankful again that this world had indoor plumbing, with hot water to boot, Kiana wasted no time in stripping off her gore-coated clothes, which she would wash in the laundry room down the hall, and enjoyed a nice steamy shower. She didn't have to worry about possible intruders, as Mirabelle sat coiled on the bed, ever vigilant.

"Today was a good day," Kiana said, stepping out of the shower and drying herself off, a feat that took several minutes with a towel. This left her gray and white fur all fluffed-out, which led to her brushing it out. Kiana had grown accustomed to the care and maintenance of her fur, taking pride in keeping it clean. She then donned her underwear and a cream-colored sundress from her pack, carefully putting her dirty clothes in the laundry sack in her pack. She smiled and stroked Mirabelle's head, the snake letting out a contented purr-like hiss.

"I'm going to go out and enjoy the rest of the afternoon in town. You stay here and guard the pack, okay?" she asked, slipping her mithril knuckles into her dress pockets, along with a small money pouch. Mirabelle hissed, thumping her tail on the bed in response, curling up tighter around Kiana's belongings.

"Good girl," she praised, before heading out, locking the door behind herself for good measure. Kiana smiled as she stepped out onto the paved sidewalk, carriages passing by on the street. Hengecliffe was much larger than Starlight Rose, with paved streets and even streetlights. Centrally located in a region of plains, it served as a trading hub. Kiana walked along, noticing a few men and women looking her over. Some seemed to do so with distaste, more than likely not enjoying the sight of a beasta. But most seemed to be pleasant people observing a new face.

"Well now, if my eyes are not deceiving me, it seems that an angel from the heavens has decided to grace us mere mortals with her presence." Kiana's ears twitched at the sound of the male voice. She paused and turned, looking down an alley, where a man leaning up against the side of a building stood, looking her over. He was wearing brown leather trousers, a white linen shirt, and a belt with a large buckle which, matching the large buckles on his boots, made him look a bit like a pirate. The goatee and the cutlass sheathed at his side were also not helping.

"Hello, beautiful," he said, giving Kiana a wink. Kiana rolled her eyes, and moved to keep walking, only to find a squat bald man standing in her way, grinning sinisterly. Kiana checked behind herself and saw another man, a larger one with a completely shaved head, arms crossed with a club under one arm. "Now, how about we all go somewhere more... private," the pirate-looking moron asked, giving Kiana a smug wink.

"Wow, you idiots have no idea just how badly you messed up," Kiana said, walking into the alley, the two guys following right behind her. The men chuckled. Passersby stopped when they heard three loud thuds coming from the alley, all of which made the nearby buildings shudder. They saw a bunny beasta girl walking out, brushing some dust off her sundress. She smiled and waved and continued on her way, leaving behind three broken figures. Two were lying in craters in the pavement of the alley, while the third, this one with a cutlass laying at his booted feet, was standing... his head laying all the way back in a hole in the brick wall right behind him.

Later that evening...

Kiana was sitting just outside the town walls on a hill, watching the stars come out. After sixteen years, it still mystified her to look up at the night sky, and not see any of the old constellations. She smiled as a shooting star streaked its way across the sky. Suddenly, Kiana felt a surge of energy just course through her. Her eyes faintly started to glow with the blue light, and she felt a strange pulsing in her chest. Looking around, she felt a strange magnetic pull coming from the south.

Starting as a jog, Kiana soon found herself sprinting outright across the countryside. She ran, as a blur, following the pull, her eyes gradually glowing brighter and brighter, shining with the crackling blue energy. Then, she came to a stop. She stood at the foot of a mountain, itself part of a larger range. Looking up at the mass of rock and ice, she could see broiling clouds up over it, flashes of lightning briefly illuminating the rocky and snowy peaks. With one such flash, Kiana saw something move. Something big. Kiana's glowing eyes went wide.

"Oh wooooooooow," she said, her jaw hanging open. There were rumbles as the giant coiled mass shifted. Several avalanches were caused by the serpentine body, buried under tons and tons of snow. At the very peak of the mountain, a gargantuan head rose.

"Is that a giant... cobra?" Kiana asked under her breath. Indeed, that was what the creature that seemed to dwarf the Spire appeared to be. In the light of the lightning, she saw that its scales were a deep blue, almost purple. There were stripes running down its back, but they were glowing a bright bioluminescent blue. That same glow radiated from the creature's reptilian eyes, and the inside of its hood. The same glowing blue as Kiana's eyes.

"What... are you?" Kiana asked, quietly.

I can ask the same of you, little one, a deep female voice hissed in Kiana's head. She winced and looked around. She then looked back up at the creature, her veins flooded with adrenaline. There was another flash of lightning, and in that very instant, the creature's head was bent down low, right in front of her. Kiana almost jumped back, but stopped herself. As the snake-entity looked her over with an eye that was twice as tall as she was, Kiana felt a sense of calm overtake her.

"Are you... a storm dragon? A real storm dragon?" Kiana asked, reaching out and touching the creature's cheek with her hand. It flicked out a blood red tongue, its mouth curling up a little at the corners.

That is something that little ones like to call my kind, she said. Kiana figured right then and there that this was a female.

"A monk said that... my spirit is like one of yours," Kiana said, breathlessly.

Your soulsong feels similar to one of our kind, little one, she said, turning her head and gently nuzzling the top of Kiana's head, making her ears lay flat. The storm dragon's head was almost as large as the entirety of her hometown.

"My... soulsong?" Kiana asked. The monk she had met hadn't said anything about them.

The song of your innermost being. It stands out from the loud and noisy cacophony that happens when most little ones gather together in large groups. Yours is beautiful, and a little... fluttery. The dragon gave her a wink. She reared up and opened her mouth. Electricity danced between the dragon's fangs, before she shot out a sonic boom. The raging storm above abated, the clouds dispersing, leaving only a crystal clear night sky for miles and miles around. She then turned and looked down at Kiana. The bunny girl felt the storm dragon's gaze. She felt a radiating warmth coming from her. It reminded Kiana of her mother.

It was so nice to meet you, little one. It was quite the pleasant surprise to awaken to. She let out a proud roar, and her body began to undulate. Sections of the mountain range began to crumble as large sections of mountain were crushed and smashed by the body slamming into them. The body of the dragon rose into the air, beginning to gracefully slither about. Levitating there, partially coiled, the sheer size of the storm dragon just boggled the bunny girl's mind.

"Will I see you again?" Kiana asked, feeling a little sad. She had just met this beautiful and amazing being, and already they were leaving.

Of course, little one, the mental voice in her mind chuckled warmly. I have listened to your beautiful soulsong, and I have shared my soulsong with you.

"I... I don't understand what that means," Kiana said, confused.

You will, little one, she said, you are still young, but my soulsong has resonated within you. When you stop and listen, it will become easier and easier to hear it. And thus, the bond has begun to form. In time, you shall understand. With a flick of the creature's tail, there was a flash of lightning that radiated from within the hood, and she was gone. Kiana stood there, her eyes readjusting to the dark.

"This world is so awesome," she said, a smile on her face, as she began to job back towards town. She figured that if the town gates were closed and locked, she could just jump over the wall.

Meanwhile...

The lone figure stood in the dark, staring at where the great serpent had been levitating. They were sitting on a log in a small clearing, where they had set up camp. The individual in question was polishing their armor when a gray blur had shot right past them. And then, where it had been heading, the giant serpent, an actual storm dragon, arose. They sat there in stunned silence. They knew right then and there, that it had been a sign from the gods. As they unsheathed their katana, it began to thrum with magical energy, the blade becoming engulfed in bright purple flames.

The light of the purple flames illuminated his green face, glinting off his polished tusks. "Soon, the war shall begin," said the orc, sheathing the blade and cutting off its purple light. The same purple light shone from his eyes.

Slipway Winch Operation Process: A Comprehensive Guide for Pulling Ships
Slipway winches are essential equipment used in shipyards and marine facilities for pulling ships out of the water onto slipways. These powerful winches provide the necessary force to safely and efficiently move vessels for maintenance, repairs, or storage. Understanding the operation process of a slipway winch is crucial for ensuring smooth and successful ship pulling operations. In this article, we will explore the step-by-step process of operating a slipway winch effectively.

Slipway Winch

Step 1: Preparing the Slipway

Before initiating any ship pulling operation, it is crucial to prepare the slipway. Inspect the slipway for any obstacles, debris, or damage that may impede the pulling process. Ensure the slipway surface is clean and free from any substances that could affect traction. Check the alignment of the slipway rails to ensure a smooth and straight pulling path for the ship.

Step 2: Inspecting the Winch

Thoroughly inspect the boat slipway winch to ensure it is in proper working condition. Check all components, including the winch drum, cables, brakes, control panel, and motor, for any signs of damage or wear. Verify that the winch's capacity matches the requirements of the ship being pulled. Performing regular maintenance and adhering to manufacturer guidelines is essential for safe and efficient operation.

Step 3: Attaching the Cables

Attach the pulling cables securely to the ship's hull using appropriate fittings or connectors. Ensure that the cables are properly positioned and evenly distributed on both sides of the ship. The attachment points should be strong and capable of withstanding the tension generated by the winch. Avoid using makeshift connectors or ropes that may compromise safety.

Step 4: Engaging the Winch

Power up the slipway winch, ensuring it is connected to a reliable power source. Familiarize yourself with the winch's control panel, including the on/off switch, speed control, and emergency stop buttons. Engage the winch and activate the control panel, setting the appropriate pulling speed based on the size and weight of the ship. Gradually increase the pulling force to prevent sudden jolts or excessive strain on the ship's hull.

Step 5: Monitoring the Operation

Closely monitor the ship pulling operation throughout the process. Ensure that the ship moves smoothly and steadily along the slipway rails. Adjust the pulling speed and force as needed, maintaining control over the ship's movement. Communicate effectively with the winch operator and other team members involved in the operation to ensure a coordinated and safe pulling process.

Step 6: Docking the Ship

As the ship approaches the desired location on the slipway, reduce the pulling speed to facilitate a smooth docking process. Coordinate with the team members on the ground to guide the ship into position accurately. Once the ship is securely docked on the slipway, disengage the winch and power supply. Ensure that the ship's weight is evenly distributed on the slipway to maintain stability. https://winchmachines.com/60-ton-slipway-winch-in-indonesia/

Step 7: Post-Pulling Maintenance

After completing the ship pulling operation, conduct post-pulling maintenance on the slipway winch. Inspect the cables for any signs of wear or damage, and replace them if necessary. Lubricate all moving parts to prevent rust and ensure optimal performance. Store the winch in a dry and secure location to protect it from environmental elements.

Conclusion

Mastering the operation process of a slipway winch is crucial for shipyard and marine facility operations involving ship pulling. By following the step-by-step guide mentioned above, operators can ensure the safe and efficient movement of ships onto slipways for maintenance, repairs, or storage. Regular maintenance, proper inspections, and adherence to safety guidelines are key to maximizing the winch's lifespan and ensuring the success of ship pulling operations.

Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, YouTube or Apple, or become available to stream on Disney+.

Is Transformers Rise of the Beasts coming to Netflix?
Yes, Transformers Rise of the Beasts is coming to Netflix approximately in December 2023.

In 2021, Sony and Netflix signed a five-year deal that gave the latter exclusive first-pay-window U.S. streaming rights for Sony Pictures titles after their theatrical and home entertainment windows. Fans can expect to watch Transformers Rise of the Beasts on Netflix six months after the film’s theatrical release, thus in December 2023. The date seems reasonable considering that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse dropped on Netflix on June 26, 2019, six months after its U.S. release on December 14, 2018. The pay-one window usually begins about nine months after a film’s theatrical release, but it might start earlier in particular cases.

This post will be updated once there is a 100% officially confirmed Transformers Rise of the Beasts Netflix release date.

When Will Transformers Rise of the Beasts Be Available On Netflix?
Regarding when the film will be available on Netflix, the answer is less definitive. The first film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, began streaming six months after its theatrical release. Based on this, it is safe to assume Transformers Rise of the Beasts will see a similar gap between its cinematic and streaming releases. Given the film's theatrical release of June 2, 2023, Transformers Rise of the Beasts will likely begin streaming on Netflix in December 2023.

This tracks with some of Sony's bigger releases of 2022. Films like Uncharted and Bullet Train were released on Netflix six and five months respectively after their release in theaters. Of course, Transformers Rise of the Beasts could have other elements that see it release before or after this tentative six-month period, such as underperforming or exceeding expectations at the box office. Although, based on Sony's track record - including that of the first film - Transformers Rise of the Beasts can be expected on Netflix in the winter of 2023, likely December for a holiday release.

Is Transformers Rise of the Beasts coming to Disney Plus?
Yes, Transformers Rise of the Beasts is also coming to Disney Plus approximately in 2025.

Once the pay-one window runs its time and Netflix’s exclusive rights expire, Transformers Rise of the Beasts will be available on Disney Plus. The pay-one window might last as long as 18 months, which means it will be a while before Disney Plus subscribers can watch the much-anticipated sequel. Unlike in other countries, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse isn’t yet available on the Disney-owned streamer in the U.S.

American fans will have to wait until 2024 to watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and at least until 2025 for its sequel. We will update this post once there is an official Transformers Rise of the Beasts Disney Plus release date.

Transformers Rise of the Beasts comes from a joint effort of directors Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. The movie will swing into theaters on June 2, featuring the return of Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, and Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, among others.

Will Transformers Rise of the Beasts Be On HBO Max?
No, Transformers Rise of the Beasts will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Universal Pictures movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer on the same day. However, they now allow a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the streaming release.

Is Transformers Rise of the Beasts Available On Hulu?
Viewers are saying that they want to view the new animation movie Transformers Rise of the Beasts on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.

2023.06.06 03:37 beef_cookiee AITA if i report my husband for the hit and run he incited?

I (24F) have been unable to stop thinking about this incident since my husband (25M) rear ended a car and immediately left the scene of the accident. Honestly the pursuit was terrible; the other driver persisted and followed my husband for quite a few miles before (s)he gave up. He had to run numerous red lights and sped like a maniac to get away from this person. I begged him to stop and i told him i was scared and that he should just stop before we got ourselves into a more serious accident. Idk if there was severe damage to the other car or not. I just know he definitely ran into this car because he wasnt paying attention although he would tell you this other driver "braked too suddenly " (i disagree).
It has been nearly 2 weeks and all of my thoughts are consumed by this incident. I feel so bad for this other driver considering i am fully aware my husband was completely at fault for this accident. He has told me the reason he ran was because his father would kill him if he had gotten into an accident so soon after he got the car. For context it was literally less than a week after his father and grandfather had purchased this 2023 toyota corolla for him. And now he was under his fathers insurance and he knows this would affect them both. I just feel so guilty even though i was just a passenger. I know his family can more than afford to deal with this so why not just do the right thing? I have been so affected and consumed by this that i have come so close to calling the 911 non emergency line in WA state and telling them what happened. I know even though i was just the passenger i coule technically get charged for this regardless. Mainly its the guilt however that has continued to consume me. I can hardly sleep
What if someone was hurt? Yet like the total asshole he is he just sped away. Idk the thought has become harder to ignore as the time has gone on. So would i be TA if i reported this accident ? As his wife should i just STFU and hope for the best?
Sidebar: he has actually told me this was all my fault. Because we had had an arguement before we left and he says "i get clumsy, i break shit and have accidents when we get into an arguement so you are practically just as culpable as me" which absolutely makes my blood boil.
