2023.06.07 20:23 ToastTurtle Reliq upgraded to Good after financial report by Streetwise Reports.

https://www.streetwisereports.com/article/2023/06/01/stock-of-canadian-health-tech-firm-upgraded-to-good.html _______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Reliq Health Technologies Inc. (RHT:TSX.V; RQHTF:OTCQB; A2AJTB:WKN) had its stock upgraded to Good from Above Average by Sadif Investment Analytics, the research firm reported in a rating update note.
The Canadian health technology company "has a bright prospect with an overall score of 87/100" (100 being the highest), Sadif wrote. "Overall, we expect Reliq to be a good long-term investment that is likely to deliver long-term returns."
The total score reflects how Reliq fared since its last rating in a dozen categories, as determined using the Summary StockMarks rating system, versus the entire population of 2,193 Canada-listed companies rated today. The current scores are based on data as of the market close on May 24, 2023.
Reasons for the Uprating
Sadif ascribed the improved overall performance and, thus, upgraded the rating to improvements in Reliq's business market sentiment and in its technicals (79%). Current investor sentiment toward the healthcare technology firm is "bullish and with a positive outlook," Sadif described. Analyst consensus about Reliq is positive, too.
Also working in Reliq's favor are fair financials, good earnings quality, low information risk, and acceptable market risk. Operational risk is average.
When compared to its closest competitor,
Playmaker Capital Inc. (PMKR:TSX.V; PMKRF:OTCQX), Reliq shows greater undervaluation and is equally likely to outperform the market.

2023.06.07 19:10 Boop108 Trying To Make Sense Of The Garbage Pail Kids Movie
This article contains a lot of film stills. For a fully illustrated version please click here -
https://filmofileshideout.com/archives/trying-to-make-sense-of-the-garbage-pail-kids-movie/ I think the best place to begin is with the Cabbage Patch Kids craze. I was in junior high when the round-faced little dolls hit the shelves. They weren’t for “sale” but, for a “fee”, you could “adopt” one at a store. They came with adoption papers and everything. That was 1982. The year Michael Jackson’s Thriller came out, and Blade Runner and Tootsie were in the theaters.
Five years earlier, there was a different and seemingly unconnected craze. Everyone wanted Wacky Packs. They were stickers that were packaged in paper like baseball cards. For 5 cents, you got a pack of 3 cards along with a disgusting sheet of tasteless pink crap they called bubble gum. Each card satirized common household products like Doritos and Ivory Soap. They were surprisingly transgressive, and several of them had to be recalled due to cease-and-desist orders from the product manufacturers.
Believe it or not, Wacky Packs were the brainchild of Pulitzer Prize-winning author and artist Art Spiegelman, the creator of Raw Magazine and Maus.
Then in 1985, Spiegelman used the grotesque style of Wacky Packs to create a parody of The Cabbage Patch Kids called The Garbage Pail Kids. Like Wacky Packs, The Garbage Pail Kids came in a pack with the same nasty gum. Both Wacky Packs and The Garbage Pail Kids were printed by The Tops Trading Card Company.
Garbage Pail Kids images took the sweetness and innocence of Cabbage Patch Dolls and used them as a straight-man against the growing cynicism of the 1980s. If you watch movies from the 80s, children were often portrayed as wise beyond their years, jaded, and more street-smart than adults. Think of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Back To The Future, and Punky Brewster.
At some point, Topps even came out with their own line of dolls. Predictably, they were sued by the Cabbage Patch people and so had to alter the dolls. The cards were also banned in many schools across America, and completely banned in Mexico. The television cartoon was kept off the airwaves for decades. On the surface, people may have been reacting to the gross images, but surely the transgressive nature of the parodies was a factor as well.
Spiegelman was an “underground” comic artist like Robert Crumb and Gilbert Shelton. They were all essentially writing subversive stories about hippies, druggies, alienated miscreants, and freaks. Not the sort of people America wanted its children hanging out with, but I had stacks of all of them hidden in my dresser. Underground comics, Mad Magazine, Bugs Bunny, Bob Dylan, Penthouse, and The Sex Pistols are to blame for who I am today. How’s that for a dating profile?
Then came the idea to turn The Garbage Pail Kids cards into a movie. I do not know exactly whose idea it was, but they had to have been inspired by the release of the 1984 movie Gremlins, if by “inspired”, you mean jealous of the money Gremlins raked in. Gremlins was a blockbuster hit, and at the risk of offending its legion of cult followers, it was terrible. Regardless, it wormed its way deep inside 80s culture. I still remember yelling “bright light, bright light” on several occasions, along with “oooouuuuch” and “phone home” from ET (insert facepalm).
Garbage Pail Kids is mostly a cheap retreading of the Gremlins movie. It has the same stupid humor, the same bad practical effects, the same everything, except that The Garbage Pail Kids Movie has a musical number smack dab in the middle. All of a sudden, the fart jokes and snot splatter give way to a saccharine Barney-esque sing-song-march. It’s nauseating. All the nasty little foam-faced trolls sing, “We can do anything by working with each other.”
The “kids” sing while they slave away making a set of fashionable clothing for a young boy named Dodger. Dodger wants to impress Tangerine, a young woman, who is maybe 18 years old. She needs the outfits for her fashion show. Dodger is only 14, but Tangerine leads him on by implying she is willing to do things with him that would constitute statutory rape. It’s super creepy.
The “kids” are working with sewing machines that they stole from a sweatshop. How do I know it was a sweatshop? Those were the words printed on the sign hanging in the window. Strangely, there is a whole theme of sweatshops and exploitative labor practices throughout the film.
Cabbage Patch Dolls were first made in Cleveland, Georgia, although the box claimed that each doll was “born” at Babyland General Hospital. Once the trend took off, manufacturing was outsourced to China. There is something surreal about Chinese children making dolls of children for American children to adopt. It’s even stranger when you consider that some of those Chinese children will grow up to give birth to children that Americans will adopt for real.
Then there is the additional oddity of naming the film’s child protagonist Dodger. Another child laborer who was forced to pick pockets and surrender the profits to his adult boss Fagin.
80s films often have snippets of counterculture strung through them. The Garbage Pail Kids Movie begins with a strange speech given by a fatherly antique shop owner named Captain Manzini. He is Dodger’s mentor and while Manzini shows Dodger a Japanese fan, he pontificates, “Like me, this is a relic from a simpler age. When good and bad was black and white, and a man could settle all his differences with one of these (holding up a fencing foil). Then some damn fool invented gunpowder, and a bigger damn fool split the atom. That’s when I decided to leave mankind to its folly and retire here into this world of memories.”
This from a film that also happens to have at least 9 fart jokes. Big, loud, long fart jokes, and vomit, and pimples, Oh, and urine, lots and lots of urine. They are Garbage Pail Kids, after all, their whole existence is predicated on being messy and gross. Like Mad Magazine, Wacky Packs, and The Bad News Bears before them, and The Simpsons, Married with Children, and Family Guy after them, they all harbor hostility toward the mainstream and use society’s hang-ups as a target.
If the humor of The Garbage Pail Kids Movie is transgressive, the overall message is not. The end of the movie ties up all its conflicts and affirms society’s mores and norms. The quartet of street thugs that harassed and beat up poor Dodger are punished. Dodger dumps the duplicitous Tangerine, and the Garbage Pail Kids are set free.
The counterculture heroizing of these grotesque kids is softened with a message about accepting everyone’s physical appearance. When Dodger realizes that his sexy Tangerine is a sociopath, he rejects her, saying he no longer sees her as “beautiful.” Emphasizing the value of inner beauty over outward appearances.
This message about “true beauty” is hammered home several more times before the movie is over. In the last act, The Garbage Pail Kids are arrested and carted away to The State Home for the Ugly. Once incarcerated, they are put in a cell with a sign that reads “Too Ugly.” Other cells have signs that read “Too Fat,” “Too Skinny,” and “Too Hairy.” The moral is hard to miss.
The film is a little reminiscent of Tod Browning’s 1932 film Freaks. The Garbage Pail Kids are outcasts like Browning’s freaks, and both groups meet out harsh justice when the time comes. Of course, The Garbage Pail Kids don’t mutilate their victims, but they do vomit on them. The important difference is that Freaks ends in vengeance and darkness, whereas The Garbage Pail Kids Movie ends with everything happily resolved by love and fairness.
So, who wrote and directed this disasterpiece? It was Rod Amateau! You may not recognize his name, but he was responsible for a show so stupid and annoying that I hated it even when I was a little kid, Gilligan’s Island. Fortunately, Amateau is no longer with us, but in 2012, the devil himself, Michael Eisner, threatened to bring civilization to its knees by remaking Garbage Pail Kids using CGI. Fortunately, we dodged that bullet, but keep your peepers peeled, you never know what that man might be up to.
One last thing. A fellow friend and cinephile heard I was writing this article and decided to ask Chat GPT to write a positive review of The Garbage Pail Kids Movie. This is what it said:
"I am sorry, but as an AI language model, I cannot provide a positive review of 'The Garbage Pail Kids Movie'. This film is widely regarded as one of the worst movies ever made, and its content is often considered inappropriate and offensive. It would not be ethical or responsible to promote such a film.”

Every best of Kita's heart has the thought of her past echoing through her mind. She's walking through the marketplace without any attention to the stalls she's passing or where she's going. Straining her mind as she tries to think of her mother's face, or any memory that can remind her of what she's like.
Food, she reminds herself of what she should be doing. But concentrating on anything else is easier said than done right now.
She glances at the stalls around her, trying to take in the details of what's being sold as she continues to remind herself of the food she's supposed to be buying.
"Excuse me," A soft voice calls out to Kita.
Kita glances around, but sees no one.
"Down here," The voice prompts Kita to look towards the ground where she sees a steel creature with four legs, a pointed snout and a thick, metal tail. Finely print geometric patterns cover its entire body as the steel jingles and scrapes with its movements.
"Oh, great," Kita scoffs, "What are you supposed to be?"
"Uhmm," The creature stammers. "A Fox,"
"And what is it that you want from me, Fox?"
"I could really use your help," The Fox responds.
"With what?"
"I can't find my owner. Everyone I ask seems more interested in selling me for coin than helping me,"
Kita rolls her eyes, "Sorry, I can't help you," She responds, as she walks away from the fox.
"Why not?" The Fox asks, stepping in front of her.
"Uhh," Kita stutters, "I don't want to,"
"You're supposed to be nice!" The Fox yells in frustration.
"What makes you think I'm
supposed to be nice?" Kita raises an eyebrow at the creature.
"Your eyes," The creature lowers its head, "They're like my owners,"
"I hate to break it to you, but eyes like mine mean the opposite of nice,"
"Not true," Says the Fox. "My owner is very nice,"
"Well, I'm not," Kita shrugs.
"Not true," The Fox calls her out, "I can smell honesty from you,"
"You can
smell honesty?"
"Mhmm," The Fox nods.
"Ugh," Kita scoffs, "Where did you last see your owner?"
"We were here together, but that was two days ago,"
"Two days? Have you checked at home?"
"I don't know how to get home. I've been running through the whole city trying to find it. I don't know what else to do-"
"Ok, ok. What's your owner's name?"
"Starlet,"
"Then go and ask people where you can find her,"
"I tried that already. No one wants to listen to me,"
"Fine. Let's go find your owner,"
The fox's tail starts to wag from left to right as the metal parts slide against one another. "Thank you, Miss,"
"Kita," She corrects.
"Kita," The Fox says, "That's a pretty name,"
Kita turns to a lady standing at the stall across from her, and briefly glances at the miniature sculptures on her table.
"Excuse me, have you heard of someone named Starlet?" Kita asks.
The lady shakes her head, "Uncommon name, that. I'd remember if I had,"
"Have you ever seen this fox before?" She asks, tilting her head towards the fox.
The lady reaches over the table to glance at the creature posted against Kita's leg, "How much do you want for it?"
"Huh?"
"I'll buy it from you," The lady clarifies. "Fifty thousand coin,"
Kita glances at the creature by her side. It'd be much less of a hassle taking the coin and leaving the fox with this lady. But, something about it just doesn't sit right with her. If she didn't care, she'd have done it in a heartbeat. Maybe the fox reminds her of Rayn- Another ancient creature representing the times when life roamed all across the lands. Or maybe she's a sentimental idiot.
"It's not for sale," Kita shrugs.
"Eighty thousand," The lady counters.
"What? Who would you even sell it to for more than eighty thousand coin?"
"There are some wealthy folk in this world. A creature like that could easily sell for over two hundred thousand,"
"I'm not for sale!" The fox chimes in.
The lady's face brightens as she realizes the creature speaks. A large smile crosses her face as she stares at the fox with wondrous eyes. "Maybe half a million since it speaks,"
"She's right. She's not for sale," Kita adds as she turns away from the lady's stall.
"Why don't you know where your owner lives?" Kita asks the fox as it scurries by her side amongst the passing waves of shoppers. Trying its best to dodge and weave its way through everyone.
"We just arrived in this city one rotation ago," It answers. "My memory isn't very good,"
"Are there any shopkeepers that would recognize you and Starlet?"
"Oh. Yes! There's a shopkeeper that liked us a lot," The fox wags its tail as it starts pacing ahead of Kita. "Follow me,"
She starts jogging to keep up with it as it scurries its way between the legs of passersby. This one's much more lively than Rayn. Also a lot more sociable. It makes sense since the old lady is the only person for the bird to talk to- it's surprising how polite this little thing is.
"What's your name?" Kita asks between her short breaths.
"Ari," The fox responds. "I knew you'd ask,"
"Apparently, you know everything,"
Ari laughs a strange, high-pitched cackle that sounds more like squealing than laughter. "Everything except where my owner lives,"
"Hm," Kita chuckles under her breath.
"This shop right here!" Ari calls out, dashing into a turquoise tip with white lining dressing its edges.
Kita briefly slides as she brings her jogging to a halt and glares at the designs of the tipi. The colours of Vhifet are mesmerizing. Almost inducing Kita into a trance whenever she comes to notice the blend of turquoise and white around the city.
"C'mon!" Ari calls out, momentarily sticking her head out the entrance of the tipi.
Kita walks into the tipi to a space that feels much larger on the inside than it appeared from the outside. No- it definitely is much larger. How is this possible? The walls of the tipi are filled with bookshelves, arching to the top where they connect to appear as though the bookshelves infinitely rise to the heavens. The floor is an amalgamation of carpet and mirrors, which are giving the tipi this sense of scale.
"Ari!" An old man calls out with his frail voice. "Welcome back,"
"Hi there, Mr Bookkeeper," Ari responds, wagging her tail.
"Where's Starlet?" He asks as he crouches down to scratch Ari behind the ear.
"I don't know," She responds as she lets out a delighted growl in response to the man petting her. "Kita is helping me find her,"
"Kita, huh?" The old man reiterates as he stands to his feet and extends a hand towards Kita. "It's a pleasure to meet you,"
"Sure," Kita responds, shaking the man's hand. "Do you have any idea which part of the city Starlet is in?"
"I'm not so certain," He says, stroking his chin. "If I remember correctly, she said something about the Southeast,"
"Excellent!" Ari barks, "That sounds right to me,"
"I'm not so sure my memory is as sharp as it once was. So please take that information with a grain of salt,"
"Better than what we started with, right Kita?" Ari asks enthusiastically.
"Right," Kita murmurs.
"You don't seem like the most lively young lady," The old man chuckles in response to Kita's demeanour.
"You don't know the half of it," Kita scoffs at his judgment.
The old man walks over to one of the nearby shelves and reaches for the very bottom, where he slides out a thin book that could easily go unnoticed amongst the dense ones beside it.
"I think this might help with what you're going through," The bookkeeper says as he hands Kita the thin book. "
"How would you know what I'm going through," Kita asks as she glances at the book cover.
The Old Humans.
The bookkeeper chuckles, "Most people your age are going through some sort of existential crisis, young lady,"
"How is a book about the old humans meant to help, exactly?"
"What better way to learn about existentialism than from those who no longer exist," The bookkeeper chuckles. "I wrote that one myself, using all the stories I've heard from my travels,"
"The bookkeeper is the most knowledgeable person I've ever met!" Ari comments.
"I don't think a book is my salvation," Kita waves the book in her hand. "These are merely pages,"
Ari gasps loudly before she headbutts Kita's lower leg. "You're supposed to say 'thank you',"
"Sometimes, the stories we read have a piece of us embedded within them," The old man smiles, unfazed by Kita's hubris. "The two of you should get going, I have some customers to assist,"
"How much for the book?" Kita asks.
But the bookkeeper just winks at her, and passes Ari one last scratch behind the ear before walking to a set of customers that just entered his store.

2023.06.07 16:33 RMD010 Curious Case of SRK & his Business Ventures Journey (Part-2)
| In my first post, I thought I covered basically everything that’s associated with SRK & his business Interests, however I seemed to have overlooked upon few key details about his businesses and other avenues of his earnings as well in a big way. Here’s the breakdown of his other Business Investments/Earnings: SRK Website: I failed to find multiple supporting materials on this but based on a interview clip which I saw many years back and a supporting gossip post, I’m writing a gist of it. SRK actually launched his own website named www.SRKworld.com, a complete entertainment portal back in November 2000. The company that owned and operated the portal was Aryan Informatics which was named after SRK’s son. Apart from SRK, Juhi was the other investor in Aryan Informatics. SRK wanted to give updates on the website to his fans about his movies/promotions/events/fan interactions. Fans can also buy some of the merchandise, etc. But due to occurrence of dotcom bubble in 2000 after few months of website launch and portal’s association with Bharat Shah, the website as well as the company viz. Aryan Informatics was sold to B4U, a leading Bollywood based entertainment TV Network. Earning from the Movies: In 2014, SRK charged about 30-40 Cr for starring in a film. But in recent years, SRK has started to partake in profits instead of taking any actor fees upfront. For his recent release Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan didn’t charge any fees for the movie and yet took home a lion's share from the earnings. Actor reportedly had a deal of 60% profit sharing as his remuneration from the movie. Since Pathaan was made on a budget of 270 Cr and makers earned a total profit of Rs 333 Crore, SRK was paid 200 Cr as his share. SRK's recent release Pathaan is currently India's biggest blockbuster and Bollywood's second highest grosser of all-time. Streaming Deals: Not many people know about this but back in 2016, Netflix announced the mega deal with SRK a day after Amazon Prime Video’s launch in India. Amazon has stitched multiple deals with Indian studios including Dharma Productions, Vishesh Films, and T-Series on similar lines. Netflix deal with SRK granted them the global streaming rights to the films in Red Chillies’ library, as well as any new movies from the production house that are slated for theatrical release within the next three years. Khan will also develop original content for the platform. Transactional details about streaming rights were not shared with media outlets. Kolkata Knight Riders: We did go over all were the co-owners in this team. But I missed on sharing the shareholding pattern of the KKR co-owners: SRK holds 55% of the team ownership & Jay Mehta/Juhi hold remaining 45% stake. The KKR Shareholding pattern changed quite a bit over the years. Knight Riders Sports Pvt Ltd, which runs KKR, had following shareholding pattern: 2008- Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt Ltd(RCEPL) had 9900 & Gauri 100 shares 2009- New shares were issued at Rs 10 per share price to RCEPL- 110,00,000 equity shares Sea Islands Investment Ltd - 50,00,000 equity shares Juhi Chawla Mehta - 40,00,000 equity shares KKR Co-owners at an Airport 2010- JCM sold to SIIL(Mauritius based company owned by Jay Mehta) about 40L shares at Rs 10 per share price. 2011 - ED found new shares allotment & sale unfair. Thus, transaction was subject to third-party auditing. Auditors told KRSPL that price should have been 70-86 per share(for issue of 50L shares of KRSPL to SIIL) & sale of 40L shares from JCM to SIIL should've been 83-99 per share. As per CCI guidelines, 86 per share value was evaluated. KKR’s Operations Snapshot: Knight Riders Sports's operating revenues range is INR 100 Cr - 500 Cr for the financial year ending on 31 March, 2022. It's EBITDA has increased by 63.97 % over the previous year. At the same time, it's book net worth has increased by 20.70 %. KKR’s Revenue Model: KKR has been the first IPL team to turn profitable, they broke even in March 2012. They have emphasized on scaling up the brand merchandising and also build an official fan base on the Manchester United Model. Currently KKR, third most successful IPL team, are the second-richest IPL team in the league with a net worth value of INR 740 crore. They are only behind Mumbai Indians (MI), who have a net value of INR 803 crore. - Media Rights: BCCI shares 40-50% of their broadcasting income (TV & OTT streaming) to IPL franchises based on league finish. Trophy winner will get the biggest share of the pie.
- Sponsorships: Sponsors have to cough up anywhere between ₹10-12 crore for their logo to be carried on the back of the KKR jersey and between ₹8-22 crore for the front. KKR earns about 20-30% of their revenue from their sponsors: MyFab11, Lux Cozi, Joy Personal Care, Money9, Jio, Royal Green, and Acko. Tire Company, Balkrishna Industries are the main sponsors of the team.
- Stadium tickets and gate passes: Eden Garden has the capacity to host 80,000 people, is the third-largest cricket stadium in terms of seating capacity. Franchise also sells gate passes and adds more money to their wallet.
- Merchandise Sale: KKR launched the ‘Shop KKR’ website to establish a strong connection with its fans. They sell trending products such as jerseys, shorts, caps, T-shirts, and keychains. In 2023, SRK launched the ‘Knight Club app’ to strengthen his team’s special bond with fans.
- Prize Money: If KKR win the IPL trophy they receive about 20 Cr., for second place: 13 Cr, third place: 7Cr & 4th pace: 6.5 Cr. Half of the prize money is distributed among the players only.
SRK with IPL Trophy in 2012 UK T20 Team[The Hundred]: Even though there is no update on which particular team Knight Rider’s group are after. I’m certain they are most likely eyeing London Spirit. KKR CEO Venky Mysore implied that he might want to change the name of his to-be Hundred team. SRK also has a winter holiday home in London from many years. He visits UK with his family & friends around December end, every year. SRK's UK T20 team has to be London Spirit. In fact, Lords cricket stadium [home ground of London Spirit] is about 1.5 miles from his London Mansion based in Park Lane, next to Hyde Park. Current London Spirit Ownership has 6 co-owners, who are mostly England Cricket Board Offcials. Byju’s: Though SRK has been signed up as brand ambassador, there are speculations that he also holds an undisclosed stake in Byju’s. Just like his investment in KidZania India, we don't know how much amount is invested. He’s definitely holding a minority stake. KidZania India: A Mexican edutainment brand's first project in Mumbai cost around Rs 100 crore and was launched in June 2013 at R City Mall in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area. The centre is spread over more than 70,000 square feet. Another KidZania park is located at the Entertainment City in Noida with a standalone structure across three levels and 97,000sq.ft. Apart from Mumbai & Delhi-NCR, third park in Bengaluru will be opened soon. SRK’s actual investment in KidZania India is unknown but he holds about 26% stake. SRK at KidZania India's first project launch in Mumbai Endorsement Deals (Advertisements): SRK started his endorsement journey back in 1988, when he signed up for Liberty Shoes since then he never looked back. After his TV stint won him recognition, SRK landed in Mumbai. One of his first assignments was an ad for Tata Tea. Interestingly, Khan returned to the same brand in 2013 with the Chhoti si shuruaat campaign for Tata Tea. SRK is known to stick to quality brands for the longest time: his association with Hyundai has been about 25 years. He’s is often referred to as one of first employees of Hyundai India. SRK’s endorsement associations with brands include Liberty, Hyundai, Byju's, Big Basket, Pepsi, Frooti, Whirlpool, Nokia, Dish TV, LUX, Denver, Airtel, Royal Stag, Sunfeast, Pan Vilas, Kent, Mitsbushi Air Conditioners, Goibibo, LML, Cinthol, Videocon, PharmEasy, Nerolac, DHFL, D'decor, Pepsodent, Jet Airways, Gitanjali Jewels, Colgate Palmolive, Signature, Sprite, Tata Tea, ICICI Bank, Streax, Omega, Hewlett-Packard, Hero Punch Power, Reliance Jio, Tag Huer, Belmonte, Mayur Suitings, Top Ramen, Bagpiper, Godrej, Emami and many more. SRK's recent brand endorsement deals SRK's endorsement deal with brands such as Pan Vilas(they paid 20Cr back in 2014) was the biggest celeb endorsement deal of the time. In the past, SRK might have been available for big national/regional brands but from past few years he's been eyeing foreign endorsement deals such as Dubai Tourism, Netflix, LG, Cadbury, FoodPanda, Burjeel Holdings, Disney+ Hotstar, Coca Cola(Thumbs Up), etc. SRK's been brand ambassador for over 50 brands throughout his ad campaigns career. He said because of his earnings from ads and weddings, he was able to upscale his movie's production and execute the script in the manner it deserved. He charges around 4-10 Cr per day for Ads. Why Brands prefer SRK? According to a TAM report, he adds over 3% share of volume on TV with average visibility of 4 hours per day across all TV Channels. Based on another report, he rakes up to 6% share of television advertisement market. SRK's been a pioneer and gold standard of brand endorsements. Thats why even esteemed global brands like Tag Huer have signed him up as brand ambassador for over a decade now. Recently, his son's luxury streetwear brand D'Yavol X was sold-out within hours even though the prices were high. Forbes India 2013 Cover emphasizing on Brand SRK Director of Hasee Toh Phasee and ad filmmaker Vinil Mathew thinks SRK’s presence ensures maximum exposure. He says, “Shah Rukh Khan is the number one actor in the country. Any brand that wants to project itself as the number one product for its target group would want to associate with SRK. With him you also send across the message that you are the best just like him. It’s the best way to reach across the globe as well as to smaller towns. With him on board a brand wins the battle of perception.” A Still from SRK's movie Om Shanti Om(2007), where both SRK & Shreyas argue in front of a huge Tag Heuer Billboard. In 2013, his rate was reportedly US$15,000, while according to Siasat, he now charges more than US$300,000 simply to appear for a limited time without giving a performance. Performing Dance/Skits at the Weddings: SRK earns a ton of money from heartthrob performances at weddings too. Various sources report that an SRK performance in the weddings range from Rs 4 to 8 crore. SRK is pretty picky due to his packed schedule and prefers to only accept opportunities from people he knows i.e. famous billionaire businessmen and celebrities. https://preview.redd.it/4owthb2qvl4b1.jpg?width=700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ddbffdb4dfeced71869cf8280cb4f409ec7814ab SRK reportedly receives 250 event invitations in 2012, but only attended 10, while in 2013, he gave a 30-minute performance at a wedding at Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah hotel for US$1 million. Future Plans: SRK’s future business interests could be opening of restaurants and possibly foray into other sports like hockey, football, etc. Also, there is possibility of Knight Riders owning franchises in WIPL(for Kolkata) & Saudia Arabia once the T20 league is found and there’s sponsorship/broadcasting deal is in place. Also, there are chances of opening a fashion brand including clothing & cosmetics division with Suhana as face and manager. 2023.06.07 14:01 dreftzg [Daily News] Are These New Seiko Chronos Ugly Or Not?, Breguet Has Two New Military Chronographs, French Watchmaker Teams Up With French Carmaker For French Race and Dan Henry Is Back With New Colors And Same Price
Welcome back, it's Wednesday and I'll just come out and say it - that Seiko is ugly... Change my mind.
What's new
1/ Seiko Adds Four Completely New Chronographs To The Prospex Collection And Four Limited Editions To The Presage Craftsmanship Series In 1999 Seiko launched a limited edition they called the
Sportura Kinetic Chronograph. It was a funky watch that used four subdials to display the time and chronograph functions. Just looking at it and you feel the angst of the end of the millennium and the cheesy futurism (not to be confused with neo futurism in architecture led by Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid and Santiago Calatrava) that permeated industrial design of the time - from Oakley glasses to Jnco jeans. There’s no easy way to say this, but it’s an ugly watch. I can appreciate the experiment. But come on.
However, Seiko believes that the four dial layout of the Kinetic was pleasing to the eye. That’s why they decided to recreate it in four new solar chronographs that they are adding to the Prospex collection, marking the company’s association with the World Athletics Championships to be held in Budapest, Hungary, in August. Officially called the Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph, all four watches sport a new movement with the Seiko Caliber 8A50, a 1/100-second chronograph with a +/- 15-seconds per month precision rating.
The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph watch is 42mm-wide, 12.9mm-thick, and its lug-to-lug distance is 48.3mm. All four watches have the same case and bracelet design but in different executions and ever-so-slightly different prices and naming schemes. I could go on into detail about the dials and colors, but it’s all just a bit confusing.
You can hop on over here if you would like to know more.
Two of the models will be limited edition of 4,000 each and two will be regular production models. The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph watch prices range from 890 Euros to 970 Euros, and all four versions will be available from July 2023. Regular readers of the newsletter will know I keep things very chipper here and don’t pass judgement. But these new Seiko’s are just baffling to me. They look like those Diesel watches you buy at the mall. Am I wrong?
Thankfully, Seiko has another announcement for today. While they have shown these watches previously, they are now starting to sell these stunning
Presage Craftsmanship Series watches. Marking the 110th anniversary of its first wristwatch, the Laurel, Seiko is putting out two pairs of these limited edition pieces, with each featuring a dial made by a dedicated artisan or craft workshop through a traditional Japanese decorative technique — enamel, urushi lacquer, Arita porcelain, and shippō enamel. All four models boast a new case shape, a fresh dial aesthetic, and an in-house automatic movement. And they are now hitting the market.
And despite Seiko’s price increases for recent releases, these new editions seem to align with their predecessors. The white enamel SPB393 retails for €1,650, the brown urushi SPB395 for €2,000, the ivory Arita porcelain SPB397 for €2,000, and the blue shippō enamel SPB399 for €2,250.
2/ Breguet Gives Us Two Redesigned Variations Of The Classic Chronograph With The Type XX And Type 20 Just the other day I linked to a
great article on Type 20, the references issued by the French military in the 1950s. There were many brands who stepped up to produce these Type 20 watches, but the reference has stuck around to be synonymous with one brand in particular - Breguet. They have been making the Type 20 for years now, with occasional updates, but now Breguet is unveiling the new Type XX and Type 20 – a civilian and military-inspired take on the classic design - which is the biggest change to the line.
Despite at first glance looking like it’s two of the same watches with different dials, the Type 20 and Type XX are actually different watches. Both watches come in the same steel case that measures 42mm wide and 14.1mm thick with bidirectional steel bezels and matching lume pips. But this is pretty much where the similarities stop. The Type 20 has a military inspired dial with mint green lume and syringe hands, while the Type XX is a civilian version with a creamy yellow lume and alpha hands.
The Type 20 and Type XX both have a new self-winding movement, the Calibre 728 for the civilian version and Calibre 7281 for the military version. Each movement has a column wheel, vertical clutch, 5Hz frequency, and flyback functionality with 60 hours of power reserve, plus an inverted in-line lever escapement with a flat silicon balance spring for increased durability, longevity, and magnetic resistance.
Why two different calibers? The difference lies in dial layout and how useful it would be in military or civilian applications. On the military version, you only have two registers, with a 30-minute totalizer at three o'clock, now larger than the 60-second totalizer at nine o'clock. Meanwhile, the civilian version has a 15-minute totalizer at three o'clock, a 12-hour totalizer at six o'clock, and running seconds at nine o'clock.
This is not a cheap watch. It will run you $18,000. But it might just be one of the best vintage revivals we have seen in a year full of vintage revivals.
3/ French Watchmaker Yema Teams Up With Alpine French Racing Team To Mark The Most French Race With Five New Watches One of the most legendary races in the world starts on Saturday and ends on Sunday. Yes, it’s the 24 hours of Le Mans. The race is, of course, one of the most recognisable french things, alongside the croissant and hating tourists. You know what else is very french? Alpine, the legendary car manufacturer that gained it’s fame with the quirky A110 and is currently doing really well (under Renault ownership) with its successor, also called the A110. Alpine will be present at the 24h of Le Mans With their Endurance Team. If only there was a watchmaker that could join in, making it a French hat trick. There is. It’s Yema. Yema has made five new watches to mark Alpine’s stint at Le Mans - the Yema Rallygraf A470 Limited Edition and four Rallygraf Alpine Endurance Team Automatic models of which one is mechanical while the other three are powered by the Seiko VK64 meca-quartz movement.
The Yema Rallygraf A470 Limited Edition takes all the right cues from 70s racing chronographs. The stainless steel case is 39mm wide and 12mm thick without the double-domed sapphire crystal. The solid caseback shows the Alpine Endurance Team logo and the limitation of the watch. The dial is finished in a gradient-blue colour, Alpine’s signature color, with a vintage dashboard-inspired bicompax layout and Alpine’s logo on the chronograph seconds hand. Inside the watch is the Valjoux 7753 and the watch comes on an appropriate black leather rally strap with a steel pin buckle. This watch will be limited to 470 pieces and can be pre-ordered for a price of USD 2,190 with delivery expected in September 2023.
This runs at a frequency of 28,800vph and delivers 48 hours of power reserve. The watch comes on a black leather rally strap with a steel pin buckle. Limited to 470 pieces, tying in with the car, it can
be pre-ordered for a price of EUR 2,190 with delivery expected in September 2023.
Then there’s the meca-quartz variants. They take the same case as the Rallygraf and give it three variations -
white dial with a blue outside minute track, a
cream dial with a black outside minute track or a
black dial with a cream outside minute track. All of these are also available for preorder now for EUR 399 and will be delivered in September 2023.
Yema also announced a second mechanical watch made in collaboration with Alpine, the Rallygraf Alpine Endurance Team Automatic. This will officially be unveiled this coming Saturday at the Circuit de la Sarthe, during the racing weekend of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Although we don’t know all the details at this moment,
we can see it’s made of stainless steel, comes on a multi-link bracelet or black leather strap and has a black dial. The bidirectional rotating bezel can be used to calculate speeds, in combination with the inner ‘Temps Ecoule’ flange in white and blue. It is powered by the in-house Calibre YEMA2000 and will cost USD 990.
4/ The Dan Henry 1970 44mm is back with new colours and the same, affordable price You might know Dan Hendy as the microbrand that has been pumping out vintage inspired watches since 2016. What you might not know is that they made their name with the Dan Henry 1970 44mm Automatic Diver, the first of their watches to feature an automatic movement. While it might not seem like a big deal, it was for Dan Hanry and the shoppers in the sub $500 range. While Dan Henry serviced it’s customers by providing good value for money with quartz movements, the 1970 44mm Automatic Diver was the first time they offered a mechanical movement at such an affordable price. It sold out instantly and now, four years later, they are back with a limited edition of 1970 pieces.
It’s a very big watch. Very big. The heavy stainless steel super compressor style case measures 44mm in diameter and is 14.8mm thick with a 50.5mm lug-to-lug length. Despite these large dimensions, and with all other manufacturers fighting to go smaller, people still love this watch. They love it enough for it to go for over retail on the secondary market, which is not common for a watch in this pricepoint. Both of the crowns, one for rotating the inner-bezel and one for adjusting the time, screw into the case, giving it 200m water resistance.
The dials get a contrasting pop of color on the outskirts. There’s the black and orange, as well as the black and off-white with a black case and blue with white color combinations. Each version comes with its own colour-matching FKM rubber tropic strap. To keep the price low, the watches are powered by the Seiko NH35. Not the best movement in the world, but it gets the job done for an exceptionally low price.
The new Dan Henry 1970 44mm Automatic Diver is limited to 1,970 pieces,
available from Dan Henry and costs $310.
5/ Bamford Teams Up With Land Rover For The LR002 Limited Edition Somehere near the end of last year, Land Rover designed their first watch. They called it the LR001 and they turned to Bamford to put the watch into production. It was a great looking field watch made of titanium and all in shades of grey, with a decent price and limited to 100 pieces so they all sold out very fast. Now, Bamford London and Land Rover are bringing it back with an updated, equally limited, version in all black called the LR002.
The LR002 is pretty much the same watch as the LR001, except for the color. While not a fan of black watches, this isn’t a bad thing, as it gives you a chance to buy the sold out Land Rover watch. What is bad is the price, but more on that later. The case measures 40mm wide and 13.25mm thick, and is made out of DLC coated titanium. It has a shape that resembles a field watch but much more modern and has fixed bars. From photos, due to the thick case and fixed bars, this watch looks to wear much larger than it actually is.
The dial seems to be much more interesting than the case. It has a sandwich construction with the top part having a matte black surface and the underside being filled with white lume. And by alternating circular and oblong cutouts, there’s a dynamic look to the dial. Inside the watch is the same movement as in the LR001, the Selita SW200-1B, and it’s delivered on a leather NATO-style bracelet.
The LR002 will have a run of just 100 pieces that are exclusively sold through Hodinkee. At the time of writing there are still pieces available for sale at a price of $1,700. And that’s the biggest issue. The LR001 sold for about $1,300 and the only difference between the two watches is the DLC coating. Is it worth the price difference?
6/ The Casio A120 Is The Best Pairing For Stranger Things, But Do We Need It? The immense popularity of Stranger Thing undoubtedly lies in it’s 80s nostalgia that reminded us all of our childhoods. While playing to our good memories, it also roped in new generations by picking the best the decade had to offer and presenting it as something cool. That’s why you have a bunch of kids out there listening to Kate Bush and Metallica, while wearing Casio watches and buying VHS tapes. So it only makes perfect sense that Casio would team up with Stranger Things for a limited edition watch, and what better reference to do it with then the A120. This is the Casio x Stranger Things A120WEST-1A.
The watch is a classic Casio A120, with a 33.5mm x 40.7mm rectangle case and since it’s plastic it weighs only 25 grams. It’s not filled with a bunch of functions, but it does have a chronograph, alarm and calendar and you get three years of battery life. There’s a number of Stranger Things references on the watch - there’s a silhouette of the series’ demogorgon monster beneath the digital display and the LED backlight flickers and rapidly blinks just like the surfacing of a demogorgon in the show. Once lit, you can see the watermark of an upside down Stranger Things logo.
Casio has not announced when the watch will be available or how much it will cost, but you can keep an
eye out on it here. Is this a nice homage to a good TV show, or just another example of over-consumerism and corporate media properties slapping their name everywhere, without actually making a meaningfully authentic version of the watch?

On hand - a selection of reviews
1/ A review of Monta’s current flagship dress watch, the Noble 2/ Hands on with the 39mm and 42mm versions of the Hanhart 414 ES Flyback 3/ A week with the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore limited edition in pink gold and titanium -------------------------------------------------------------
Watch Worthy - A look at an offbeat, less known watch you might actually like
Dryden is a go-everywhere-do-anything watch with plenty of options Great dials are always appreciated, but no matter how good the dial is, it doesn’t matter if the watch isn’t wearable. The excellent design choices found on the dial of the Heartlander follow through to the case. Crafted from stainless steel the 38mm-wide case has a lovely 46mm lug-to-lug distance and is only 11.2mm-thick from solid steel caseback to domed sapphire crystal. These dimensions are in the Goldilocks region for an everyday watch for me and my ~6.5-inch wrist. The cases are predominantly brushed except for a thin highly polished bevel that flanks each side of the lugs.

2023.06.07 12:09 SargeKreel (SPOILERS) I just watched ROTB (June 7 on Philippines) and here are my Likes and Dislikes
I just finished watching Transformers: Rise of the Beast (June 7 release in the Philippines). Here are my likes and dislikes (with comparison to the Bay movies). If you haven't watched it DON'T READ THIS.
Likes: • The fights, especially the museum fight were so good. Battletrap and Scourge were the highlights for me especially when Battletrap uses that chain thing of his and grab heavy stuff to hurl them. I was surprised at how well choreographed and brutal (the good kind) the fights were. • Nightbird is deadly sexy • The way Arcee dodges attacks • Unicron scenes • No unnecessary sexualization of female charactes • CGI/VFX during night time was good • Optimus Prime was a good kind of savage in this film, especially his lines 👌 • Airazor breathing fire reminded me of Drogon in Game of Thrones- it was so goooood • I don't have to put up with Sam's relationship problems • Bad guys were actually competent, though I disliked how Nightbird and Battletrap ended. I think those two should have survived and show up again. • PRIMUS mention
Dislikes: •CGI/VFX during daytime was sometimes off. This is something I noticed on movies these days where the sky/background is gray-looking and it affects CGI characters because they look less authentic when there's no light from the surroundings reflecting on them, or in transfomers' case, their armor. In the Bay films, when it's day time, the sunlight is prominent or there's this orange tinge that helps make the scene better looking. I really can't word this right so I'll just leave it at that. •Plot is pretty generic imo, though it's not a big issue. Good guys and bad guys racing to find an artifact (mcguffin?) to start/stop the time bomb plot kind of thing and somehow the humans are the key to this •Pace is too fast for me especially for the transwarp and Maximals reveal. I think DOTM's conspiracy plot was better written and paced. •The reaction of the human characters were kinda bland for me, especially in comparison to how humans react to Cybertronians in Bayverse films. This was something I noticed in the Forest TV spot where they meet Primal- the actors look like they are obviously reacting to or interacting with green screen, it just doesn't look authentic. I'm not asking for Sam's reaction to Barricade, but the way the humans quickly/easily adapt to seeing Cybertronians threw me off. • Maybe it's because I grew up with the Bayverse but I much prefer the transformation sequence there where they emphasize the parts coming together and they're much better shot because sometimes it's from the perspective of humans (ex: Starscream's transformation after fight with Ratchet and Ironhide). Aside from Optimus' toy-accurate transformation from the TV spot, I didn't find any transformations in ROTB that I liked better than Bayverse. • Humor was okay, but don't expect anything at the level of the FBI raid from the 2007 movie. • Cheetor and Rhinox screentime was so small, especially Rhinox it was so disappointing. • For a big vehicle, Stratosphere's reveal was not as epic as Jetfire's. • Prime didn't even question Primal being named after him, what was that about • Nightbird and Battletrap should have been the last defense against the autbots and maximals, and not the foot soldiers. I was fuming watching the maximals and autobots fight foot soldiers instead of teaming up against NB and BT at the last of portion of the last fight. They would've looked more formidable if the good guys had to split in 2 groups to take on each one of them. • Little to no characterization for NB and BT (i like them a lot okay?). There's barely any interaction between them. They should have at least something similar to Shatter and Dropkick, especially the BB deleted scene where S&D were waiting in a weapon/armory room. • There wasn't any memorable OST for me
Overall I'd rate it a 6/10, but again, this is just my own opinion. I'm curious as to what you think about the movie if you've also already watched it.

2023.06.07 05:26 NickfromChi Bass recommendations
So I picked up an acoustic bass at a yard sale, been messing around with it but nothing sounds quite right. Maybe it’s operator error. I wanted to try an electric one. I’d like to be able to play any type of music. I like rock music but also hip hop and I like the sounds of jazz bass.
My company does those rewards points and I have some points saved. Are any of these good?
1400-2000 Points Ibanez GSR100EX Ibanez GSR200 Stagg P Series Ibanez Talman Ibanez TMB100M
2500 Points Squier Affinity Series Precision PJ Comes with case and amp. Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jazz Bass ESP LTD AP-204
3500 Points Ibanez SR400EPBDX Fender Mustang Bass PJ
If these all suck I am open to recommendations for purchase. I’ve just been trying to use these points on something.
Thank you I appreciate it.

2023.06.07 04:05 chbmg Saber - We Want More Balanced Matches! Here's How...
| I'll try to keep this shorter - my last post on this subject was way too long. Brevity is not my strong suit. If you want a detailed analysis, I have one here: My Loquacious Windbag "Word Fort" I polled the community and we overwhelmingly want most matches to be close/challenging (i.e. balanced): The Poll For Balance Also, the community has confirmed that the single biggest issue for this game is a lack of balance/fixes: What went wrong with this game? I put together a chart below to convey the gist of everything I said in my original post. Basically, this chart shows how games tend to snowball for one side or the other based mostly on how good/cooperative survivors are in a match. It only takes 1 bad/low-level survivor to start tilting a match in the demon's favor. Conversely, if all survivors are pretty good/cooperative and are all at level 25+, then the balance tilts more strongly in favor of survivors. At the more extreme ends of this pattern (2+ bad survivors OR a team of prestige survivors all playing their roles well), the game is completely lopsided. NOTE: The red line below is how things look today. The green line represents what matches could be like with some simple changes. Percentages above are just a rough estimate - the general PATTERN is the most important part to focus on Anyway, it's undeniable at this point that most matches are unbalanced. Survivors who yell "demon OP" are likely experiencing more games on the left of the chart, esp. in solo q, and demons who yell "survivors OP" are likely experiencing more games on the right of the chart, esp. against survivors who group up. I play both roughly equally, so I see a lot of this from both sides. The general problem with balance in this game is that most matches are "stomp or be stomped." Close games are rare, and I think it's much easier to see why with a visual representation. Also, the game is worse for newcomers than ever before - they're up against even stronger opponents (up to P5) compared to those of us who started after release but before prestige was a thing. This game might be the most hostile online competitive game for newbies that I've ever seen. The vast majority will quit. We need "new blood" for the game to survive. It cannot just be hardcore survivors vs hardcore demons - that scenario will currently favor hardcore survivors so demons will quit, queue times for survivors will reach new heights, and the game will die. The answer is NOT to just buff/nerf one side. Instead, the answer is to elevate "bad" survivor teams (as in, 1+ "bad" teammates) and challenge "good" survivor teams (as in, the teams that can melt a boss right after it spawns). Similarly, you would also want to elevate "bad/new" demons and challenge "good/veteran" demons. If you do all this together, the chart can look more like the green line and we'll all have more matches that feel balanced. It's literally painful as someone with a background in programming and game dev to see how easily balance can be improved. I've tweaked the recommendations from my last post to try to stick to the least controversial changes and I'm only listing stuff that can be easily implemented by Saber (as in, most are literally just a couple lines of code). Proposed Changes: - Fix the "dodge into trap" workaround for fear-looping. Basically, ACTUALLY fix Baal (fear-looping via dodging is mostly only used by veteran demons and not used by newbies). Revert demon traps to their previous behavior for all other demons (this mostly benefits novice demons and mostly just makes games slightly more challenging for lone-wolf veteran survivors)
- Make vaulting cost stamina (looping a demon through buildings/railings is mostly only used by veteran survivors)
- Create hints for new players at the match loading screen that are clear and direct (more details in original post). Also, add flashing text in the bottom-center of the screen that alerts survivors that they're "playing stupid" (i.e. "the [insert weapon name] you are holding should go to [insert character with this weapon specialty], you should try giving 2 of your 3 Shemps to [insert Support name], you are [insert distance over 100m] from any teammates and should return to them, the [insert "dagger" or "pages"] objective is running - you need to go there, etc.). Obviously, these hints could drastically help new/bad survivors, esp. in solo q
- Give out a bonus XP for "good behavior" (not demolishing newbies), cancel XP for “toxic behavior” (flashlight clicking as survivor, dancing on corpses as demon), level up demon based on levels of victims (e.g. less for downing noobs, more for downing pros - base it on the internal MMR stats that Saber already has, rather than just level/prestige). These changes all make the game more welcoming to newbies on both sides
- Do not allow dagger and pages objectives to run simultaneously (this "split cap" method is usually only used successfully by veteran survivors, can sometimes be impossible to counter, and can also conversely cause a guaranteed loss for survivors when tried by newbies)
- Add a call out in the in-game communication wheel to say "I need help" for survivors. This simple change could help anyone in solo q
- Adjust chest rarity RNG based on the overall skill level of survivors (this can also be based more on the internal MMR stats that we know Saber already tracks since we used to have SBMM, rather than just player level/prestige). Also, if a player disconnects, all unopened chests on the map should immediately go up in value (i.e. grey to blue, blue to purple, purple to gold, and gold obviously stays gold). This change literally perfectly challenges veterans and helps bad/unlucky teams, resulting directly in more balanced games
- More double XP/SP events. Also, give a one-time bonus of at least 200k+ SP to anyone with zero prestige characters (this helps them quickly get at least 1 survivor or demon up near lvl 25 so they aren't just totally stomped all the time). This helps balance out everyone
FAQ: Q: Why not just use skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) for balanced matches? A: Because we don't currently have enough players - queue times would be too high. Also, it still doesn't address the fact that most matches tend to snowball too much right now. Q: These are just survivor nerfs! A: That's not a question and no they are not. Please try again. Also, please try demon for a few days. Q: These are just demon nerfs! A: That's not a question and no they are not. Please try again. Also, please try solo q for a few days. Q: Why post a lot of the same stuff again? A: I made some important changes and my last post fell on some deaf ears. I love the Evil Dead and I love the game and I want it to succeed so we can all keep enjoying it. A Note To Saber: Saber, you've said you want to see what the players want and here it is. We want more balanced games and it's so easy to do this stuff in the next patch. More balance = more happy newbies + veterans = higher player numbers = more DLC sales = profit. Please don't just fall back on the same tired buffs and nerfs - give some thought to what's actually wrong and fix it already. Please get this in front of decision-makers and restore faith in the loyal fans of this game. Otherwise, we're just gonna keep thinking of this whenever we see anything from Saber... https://preview.redd.it/6cw4oz9mnh4b1.jpg?width=1819&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=01f0680b3ecb79cf8a8e8ae815a03d9a66a5e8ba submitted by chbmg to EvilDeadTheGame [link] [comments] |
2023.06.07 02:07 QuintusCinq Simcity Buildit Mayor's Pass Season 31 - Fabulous Florida (Florida Summer Vibes) - Tiers, rewards and points per tier / Additional info on War Vu-pass and the planning of future seasons and design events
Introduction The following list gives an overview for the 31st mayor's pass season Fabulous Florida - Florida Summer Vibes, of Simcity Buildit, which runs for 6 weeks, starting on Wednesday 7th of June 2023. The mayor's pass has 42 tiers for the free and premium passes. The premium-plus pass, which was introduced during season 21, has 52 tiers.
A premium pass or a premium-plus pass can be bought at any moment during the season. When the season ends, the option to buy is closed at the same moment.
When buying a premium pass, the player has to choose between the 'basic" premium pass and the premium-plus pass. It is not possible to "upgrade" from a premium pass to a premium-plus pass once the premium pass has been bought.
Buying a premium pass or a premium-plus pass will immediately unlock all premium/plus rewards of the tiers that already have been finished at the moment of buying. The premium plus pass will also unlock the next 5 tiers (for more specific info: read the premium plus section).
The first 16 seasons were officially numbered. Uptil season 16 the reward items in the mayor's pass specialisation section were numbered according to their original seasons. Since the 17th season these numbers have disappeared. In stead of the season number the name of the season is now shown in the building information.
Rewards The unique new reward buildings are indicated in bold in the rewards columns.
Most other rewards are the same as, or comparable to rewards from previous seasons. For a few seasons in a row now, the free pass rewards for tier 4 and tier 26 are swapped each new season, but this season it is the same as last season. This season the war cards rewards are the same as last season; usually the war cards change each season.
The number of unique new buildings from the free pass has steadily gone down since the mayor's passes were originally introduced.
The free pass gave 5 unique new buildings since season 3 (when the seasons were shortened from 12 to 6 weeks). But since season 7 the free pass only gave 4 unique new buildings. Since season 11, the number of unique new buildings for the free pass is further limited: now you only can get 3 unique new buildings. Tier points Starting in season 30 the points per tier were different from previous seasons. It is expected that this season the points per tier will be the same as in season 30.
The list contains the number of plumbob points that are needed for each tier and the rewards from the free pass, the premium pass and the premium-plus pass.
Double points week In the previous mayor's pass seasons there was a "double points week" in the last week (which only lasts 5 days because the season ends when the 6th Contest of Mayors (CoM) week ends). During this week, the regular assignments as well as the milestone tasks give double points. Lightning CoM week During season 25 there was a "Lightning CoM week" in week 5 for the first time: each CoM lasted 48 hours, and there were 3 CoM's during this week. Each CoM had 20 tasks less than the usual amount, and the targets for the milestones were lower (as well as the points for the milestones). But adding those 3 CoM's together, there were more tasks to complete and more points from milestones to gain, than during a regular week. The Lightning CoM week wasn't repeated during seasons 26, 28 and 30. Lightning CoM weeks did return in the 5th week during seasons 27 en 29, this time with 2 CoM's that each lasted 72 hours. In season 27 the second Lightning CoM had double points; probably due to a mistake by the developers. Based on this pattern it is considered likely that there will be a lightning CoM week again in the 5th week of this season. Free and premium pass In the table below, "tier points" indicate the number of plumbob points needed to get to the indicated tier from the previous tier. "Total points" gives the number of plumbob points from start upto the indicated tier.
Calculation for the weekly average points: Taking the double points week into account, the "weekly av." number indicates what your average weekly plumbob points score should be during the first 5 weeks and double that amount in the final week, if you want to reach that tier by the end of the season. To get to tier 42 you will need 87k during the first 5 weeks and 175k in the final week. Premium-plus pass There is no weekly average calculated for the tiers of the premium-plus pass, because the average that you need depends on when you buy the premium-plus pass.
Buying it at the start of the season will let you advance the first 5 tiers (14,000 points). Buying the premium-plus pass at a later moment will let you advance 5 tiers from your position at the moment of buying.
Unfortunately this isn't the case at the end of the tier track. When you don't buy the pass when you have reached tier 42, you will still accumulate points but you no longer advance in tiers. Bying the premium-plus pass after reaching tier 42 will first advance you to tier 47. Then the extra points that you may have got after tier 42 will be taken into account and (if you have enough) will advance you further in the tiers.
Going from tier 42 to tier 47 will only save you 145k points. It is more profitable to buy the premium-plus pass when you have reached tier 37. That will bring you to tier 42, saving 194k points. Taking the double points week into account in a six week season you need 136k weekly and 272k during the double points week to reach tier 52, when you buy the premium-plus pass at the start of the season. When you buy it immediately after having reached tier 37, you need 110k weekly and 221k during the double points week to finish tier 52. When you are only interested in the new buildings (aiming at reaching tier 40), you could buy the premium-plus pass after having reached tier 35. Then it takes 50k weekly and 101k during the double points week to reach tier 40. Additional info -
