TLDR; I (32F) am trying to navigate mutual friendships after a very close friend (30F) that I’ve known for 5 years that is ghosting me and no longer talking to me because I expressed that I prefer her to not come to a brunch with another mutual friend (31F) that I’ve also known for about 5 years. I’m caught up in a trio of friends all in their early 30’s females that have been friends longer than I have been friends with them, and I feel now that one friend is ghosting me, I am not able to continue being close to the two others.
Hi all! Posting this to gain some perspective and see what others think are options/courses of action. I recently had a sort of falling out with a very close friend of mine and I’m figuring out the way forward since we have so many mutual friends.
Some background on the cause of the falling out:
I (30F) am a new mom. My baby was in the NICU the first few weeks of his life. I’ve finally been able to introduce him to people. I’ve been having him meet with close friends in my life one-on-one so he and them can interact/meet/bond. I’m an introverted person who prefers special moments like these to be one on one because groups overwhelm me, and my mental health also hasn’t been doing well postpartum for lots of reasons.
I recently was able to finally find a time where a good friend (let’s call her Sandy) and I were both able to meet up and have brunch, introduce my baby, etc. (it was planned about three weeks in advance because we are both so busy). She’s also someone i met through my husband’s mutual friends and she shared mutual friends with me, and I have been wanting to get to know her more because we often only hang out at group events and haven’t ever done just something with us.
A few days before the scheduled brunch, a mutual friend (Kelly) of ours found out that Sandy & I were getting brunch so she and her husband could meet my baby.
Kelly got included in the brunch plans. I don’t know what exactly the conversation was, I wasn’t involved. I was told by Sandy that Kelly asked to come, while Kelly told me Sandy invited her. I was a little irked b/c I was looking forward to this time with Sandy and having her meet baby for the first time. Kelly has already met my baby and she got a one on one meeting with him as everyone special in my life has.
Despite how I felt, I updated our brunch reservation to include Kelly and her boyfriend as well, texted them the details of when we were meeting, and didn’t think much of it. A day before the brunch, Kelly asked me via text: “I know Sandy invited me to join tomorrow. But I’m feeling like maybe you wanted it to be just you and Sandy? Or am I reading too much into it. I don’t wanna impose if that’s what you wanted to do tomorrow.” (This is copy pasted from the exact text message sent, just the name was changed for privacy).
I responded: “Hey! Sandy and I planned this a little while back for her and (Sandy’s husband) to meet (baby) for the first time so I was looking forward to them having some one on one time, but it’s not a problem at all, we can do it another time and I’m excited to have a fun brunch with you!”
She never responded to that text and ended up not coming. I felt something was up because she tends to be someone that has a lot of FOMO so I texted her after the brunch and said that I missed her at the brunch. She didn’t respond, so 2 days later I texted “we good sis?” She didn’t respond again so I DM’d her a few days later. I said I hoped everything was okay b/c I haven’t heard from her. She responded with “gotcha.” And said that we could talk when she gets back from a trip she happened to be on at the time.
She has since not messaged me at all. I’m confused because she asked me if it was ok if she comes, so I answered honestly. I’m a people pleaser. she has repeatedly encouraged me to speak my truth and not be a people pleaser.
Another mutual friend of ours, Britney, told me that Kelly expected me say that it’s okay that she comes so it’s not awkward for her. If she had not asked, I honestly wouldn’t have said anything and let the brunch play out with her attending, but I thought b/c she was asking, she was truly wanting to know my real feelings about the situation. Our mutual friend said that I made her feel “not wanted.” I’m hurt that she’s ghosting me and it makes me feel very inadequate and not worthy of a conversation or check in. I’m working on affirming that I am worthy and that as a good close friend, she should be communicating any bad feelings with me rather than ghosting me.
Britney, Sandy, and Kelly are all childhood friends and I only recently got to know them in the past three years, and I’ve been very close with Britney because she’s close college friends with my husband and I naturally picked up a close friendship with Kelly. As I said before Sandy is someone I enjoy being with but I’m not as close to. As Britney explained to me, it’s normal that when one of them hangs out, all of them invite one another because they are all childhood friends. I pointed out that this wouldn’t work in the reverse - they invite each other to events they are at that include me, but I wouldn’t ever be invited to their hangouts as a trio because I’m not part of that “club.”
Now, our mutual friends have birthdays and other events coming up that I normally would be included in the planning of. I don’t feel I was unreasonable in speaking my truth and I’ve also reached out three times so in my view the ball is in her court. Since she’s ghosting me and not talking I’m now excluded from mutual friends events that she usually plans. I’m not sure how to move forward and navigate these other friendships I have because I know they’ve been friends with her longer and I don’t want to put anyone in the middle, especially since I’m not part of their childhood friend “club” persay. Any insight and perspective would be greatly appreciated!

Which pill are you taking, and why?

I failed. She managed to get a message through on Friday, on a platform I forgot to block her on. And her message was both (a) apologetic, apparently sincerely, and (b) indicated that she needed to tell me something about an STD.
Because I'm an idiot, I responded, thinking that I needed to know whatever it was about the STD. Since I hadn't been with anyone else, and I had lots of suspicions about her, it seemed quite plausible that she had one, and that I needed to find out what she knew. Instead, she basically told me that she was worried b/c she had "some symptoms" of something nondescript, but really, she had heard that my ex-wife was telling people that I gave her an STD that I got from my exwuBPD. And that was definitely news to me, since I definitely hadn't slept with my ex-wife! But this accusation has been hurled at me at least three dozen times over the course of the last year.
And because I'm an idiot, I started talking to my exwuBPD again, trying to be her friend. She has been through some hard things recently>! (her mother passed, possibly suicide)!<, and she could use a friend. And I'm away for work for a while, so there's no risk of me seeing her any time soon in person, so maybe, I thought, I could actually transition us to a healthy friendship.
Wrong!
We had ONE day of healthy, normal interactions. We talked, exchanged some interesting stories, and caught up.
Then she sent me a bunch of messages while I was sleeping, and deleted them all before I woke up. Weird, but whatever, she said she'd prefer to discuss on the phone. But when I called, she didn't want to talk about it, and I didn't have much to say, so it was a short conversation, and I was fine with that. Which set her off. And she proceeded to spend the next 30 minutes on the phone telling me how fucked up and in violation of social norms that was, before I finally got her off the phone and went to sleep.
Today I woke up to a couple dozen deleted messages. And then the messages demanding to know if I still wanted to talk. When I responded that I would call as soon as I got done working and asking if she was okay, she just re-asked the same question several times. And when I told her that the deleted messages made me feel uncomfortable, and that I was worried she was mad at me and going to attack me, she guilted me until I did call.
Bet you can guess what that call was like. She immediately went in to how I made her feel bad by not answering her question (apparently "I'll call in 30 minutes" isn't a good enough answer to "do you want to call"), and then by asking why she deleted messages, and then by not asking how she was doing (umm, I did just that, you just ignored me). For a good fifteen minutes, until I lost my patience, and told her the she sure did a shit job of listening (shitty of me to say it like that, yes, but also true), then hung up. I followed up by messaging her, telling her that I was going to bed, and that ending the conversation then and there was the better alternative to letting things keep going like they were.
And in response, she accused me of abusing her by stonewalling and giving her the silent treatment. Despite me actively messaging her as she made those accusations. I finally told her I was going to go to sleep, and letting her know that if she wanted, she could leave me messages that I would reply to when I got up. And her response to that: go through our message history and delete every single one of her messages from the entire last 2 days.
I knew I shouldn't have let her back in at all. I was doing pretty good, focusing on myself and things I needed to do. And now I've spent hours dealing with her, and now I'm back here, mostly just venting to y'all. And knowing that I failed, b/c I went NC with very good reason.
Time to restart that counter and try again, I guess.

I genuinely never thought Returnal would be a game I'd play, nevermind make a concerted effort to finish. And after the first few runs I was ready to give up. Roguelikes are not my thing. At all. It's not the difficulty, it's the tension and stress they cause when you're about to lose a load of progress.
I managed to get past the first 2 bosses after a few tries but the biomes themselves were giving me trouble and the need to play through chunks of them again (to get better weapons, upgrades, etc) started to become a real chore.
But honestly, I was enjoying the mystery and confusion that the story brings. So I plugged on. If I'm even more honest the game then seemed to deal me a really forgiving hand. I managed to finally defeat Nemesis, mostly because I came across not one, or two, nor three health/suit integrity vial things, but four! And carried these into the Nemesis fight, which I managed to finish by the skin of my teeth second try using all of those.
After that I picked up a level 21 Electropylon Driver almost straight away in biome 4 and didn't die again for the whole second half of the game. I'm honestly amazed by that but by that point I'd died like 11-12 times so I was obviously much better and learned how to handle most enemies fairly comfortably but I think I was on the receiving end of a huge amount of luck. Hyperion was a cool fight and Ophion felt ridiculously easy by the end but I genuinely think that it was the level 26 Electropylon Driver that won my that fight.
All in all, great game. I might finally, tentatively, explore this genre a bit more now.

disclaimer upfront: This is supposed to be a sodium-free post!
I really enjoy the occasional guide on this sub and I'd like to see more discussion regarding these kind of things :) So, I'm posting this because I'd like to improve as Brits and I severely struggle vs the DAK + Italian Combined Arms (Pizza Tanks) 1v1 matchup.
Build order:
I usually open with two sappers into 3-4 sections. Against Bersaglieri I sometimes build another MG instead of an additional section early.
Afterwards I mostly "rush" for 1-2 Stuarts to handle the 8Rad/Armor at 7min on time. However, against the Italian Combined Arms battlegroup I cant seem to keep up with the Pizza tank call ins (especially with pact of steel later on) at this point and I can't keep them from reaching critical mass.
Before I tried to straight up go for T3 and get crusaders out but I have issues holding on until then with just sections vs the italian light tanks, so if I cant win the map before I tend to get crushed by the DAK power spike (probably panic plays a big role here).

Is it advised to match their tank spam with stuart spam or should I try to tech up for crusader and potentially Royal Guards? Also, where/when would you go for the training center building in your game?
Could you share your advice and experience? Also from DAK players: What is usually working vs you when you go for the ICA BG?

I am not going to rip this game apart because of the one beta weekend but here are some key items I sincerely hope get fixed before the game launches:
Fix characters randomly rubber-banding, running in place, disappearing, and not being able to enter the next zone.
Make the fonts and UI look more Diablo and less Microsoft Word/Diablo Immortal.
Add a visible queue timer for player 2 in couch co-op.
Turn off Cross-Play by default. It is causing MANY issues (lag, freezing, etc.).
Provide a better notification/fast-travel method to the world bosses - also when world boss is complete let us port back to where we left off.

Looking for any players interested in joining a server. The server is currently active with at least 1-2 players on at all times and reaching up to 14. Since 2020 the realm has been open and played on by many teams and players. The only rule to the SMP is no hacking so keep that in mind if you would like to join.
One of the goals of the realm is to help small creators grow since that was how I got my minecraft community. However, you dont have to be a creator to join.
At the moment there are quite a few teams in the server that are constantly fighting each other.

I (15m) was/is friends with two girls and a boy, who I'll call P(15f), S(16f) and M(15m). We were in three discord servers together, one with only us 4, another one with us 4 and some other friends and the last one was a much older server also with some other friends. The first evening of the year I was in a call with M, but I had to get ready for bed, because my parents sleep earlier than me and I don't want to wake them up. I said I would be gone for 15 minutes, but it turned out to be longer. By the time I came back he was in a private call with P, who he has a huge crush on and she has a crush on him, but doesn't want a bf yet. They were playing a 2-player game, but didn't want to join me in the call in our server. I sent some angry texts and they responded quite toxically and didn't care to join. Problem is that I felt very much like a second choice to M the last couple of days/weeks, while S definitely wasn't like that to P. The next day the three of them were in a call and they wanted me to join, but I ignored them because I was still mad. The day after that it was the same, however S sent me a message asking if is was still mad at P and M, to which I didn't respond. On January 4 P asked me if I was mad (I obviously was) and I again didn't respond, later that day she had wanted to ask me if I wanted to go out with them and grab dinner that holiday (we had holiday at that time in the Netherlands), but I probably didn't want to because I ignored her. I then replied that I was indeed still very mad at them. After that I decided to leave all group chats with them, except the older server. The next day I finally replied to the text from S and we talked a bit. I felt awful the rest of the holiday. I had to see them at school of course and I never talked to P and a whole lot less with S and M. My friendship eventually got better, because he always sits next to me in the classes we share, we have an assignment together and he was my best friend. I got really depressed that couple of weeks and had suicidal thoughts. Once during a PE lesson I had to play a match against P and M and P pushed me over a bench by accident (kinda) and messed up my goal and she found it really funny and I pretended to not know who did it. Later that day I sent a message in the older discord server about how saying sorry doesn't fix anything (pointed towards M) and about my depression and suicidal thought and about how funny P found it that she tripped me. I then leaved that discord server. I almost never cried in my life, but during my depression I cried a lot, like almost every day. I have considered trying to fix everything, but I'm scared of how they'll react, especially P. I also feel like I've been exaggerating and its all my fault. Let me know what you think, so I know what to do

So this is a part 2 to a post I already made, so go read that before ya read THIS! But here are the remaining possibilities.

1. 5 new original games
2. Maybe (Probably not gonna happen) more or less than 5 games in the pack that have 1 sequel, and the rest of the games are original
3. A party pack that has one sequel, with 4 new, original games So 5 new original games, I think this is VERY UNLIKELY to happen. Unless, Jackbox like includes a gallery with previous games and makes 5 new original games. However i feel like they are missing out on something SPECIAL! They could do so many other good things. But let’s now explore possibility number 4! Now this one is not gonna happen. 5 high quality games are already hard enough to make so if you do more than it becomes TIME CONSUMING. But if they have less games then it doesn’t feel like a steal. It takes away the whole point of the games in the first place. Jackbox includes 5 games in each pack because then there is a one game for someone. Now let’s explore possibility number 5, the same format as usual. Now this might happen. But it is an anniversary pack sooooooooooooo… But this probably is gonna happen. They’ve done it since pack 1! If you would like my thoughts on what games they should include please comment if so! Having a usual time trying to calibrate everything. I have a Saturn 8k and my exposure times and retractions are all over the place. One day 2.7 seconds looked correct on my validation matrix, and the next day 2.05 looked correct.
Do you print the cones of calibration on supports or at a 45-degree angle when performing calibration test?

My original Fail/success cones worked at 2.7, but my print then came out melted like it was overexposed. The validation matrix is consistent but also says should be using the exposure of ~2s but my cones of calibration will not print at that exposure.

I have a heated chamber that stays around 20-25C. I have 45 second burn in layer. and 6-7 bottom and 5-6 transition layers. I have tried everything from changing retraction speed and exposure time to bed leveling without consistent success.

We are a team of ten gamemasters who run 25+ paid campaigns for our 180+ community members. Over the past year, we built an inclusive community of respectful players and talented gamemasters to provide a reliable game experience for everyone.
Why Paid Campaigns?
We love free games! Nothing, including our games, is better than sitting around a table with your friends playing a TTRPG. That said, for those of us who face life stressors, lack friends interested in the hobby, have odd work schedules, etc. Polyhedra is the perfect answer.

GAME DETAILS __________________________________
6 Player virtual tabletop.

• 3-4 hours of gameplay per session.
• Player’s Choice for character creation: Pointbuy, Roll 4d6 drop lowest, or standard array.
• Private, tier 3 boosted Discord server with voice and video (by DM) - players only need a working microphone and headset.
• Individualized creation chats with each player (available beginning now and through the first session of the campaign) where we will handcraft your PC's origins, background, and campaign-shaping plot points. NO CHARGE
• Class, Feats, Backgrounds from any official sourcebooks and Unearthed Arcana. Homebrew dependent on DM permission.

CODE OF CONDUCT __________________________________

• By becoming part of the community server, and my games, you agree to abide by the rules delineated therein.
• Be respectful of other players and myself at all times, even between sessions.
• All people are welcome, regardless of sex, gender, sexual orientation, minority status, language skill, etc.
• This game is for players of 18 years of age or older.
• Payment of the game fee guarantees a seat for the scheduled game that week. Payment is due the Monday before a session is scheduled. No refunds, unless specifically agreed upon by the DM.
• No streaming of the session without express consent. Violation may result in a kick and ban from Polyhedra games, and possible legal liability.
• Polyhedra reserves the right to screen, add, remove, or otherwise "manage" players in the game for whatever reason, but will automatically remove any player who upon warning continues to violate the terms of the CoC.
