2023.06.07 15:13 mdog160 Help with a watch / Beginner questions
Since the start of this summer I have jumped into training on Strava, I love it. I have been walking running or cycling every day, so I recently bought Strava premium because I wanted to see some of the advanced stats like fitness and power curve. However, I don't currently have a watch so Strava has no heart rate data and I cannot see those previously mentioned stats. I am hoping some people could help out with the following questions:
- If I buy a watch with a heart rate monitor, will that unlock all the data I am hoping to see, or would I still need to buy something like a power monitor for my bike?
- Are there any cheap watches out there (I have an iPhone - not sure if thats relevant here but including) that simultaneously work with Strava for heart rate data? It seems that the apple watch is my best option here but wondering if there is anything cheaper that will do the same.
Thanks in advance! Would appreciate any help.

2023.06.07 15:13 DuneYerAulWan I was down in the District Court for a day and here's what went on
I was up in the local District Court on a minor matter there last week (first time in my 30+ years I've ever set foot inside a court building) and had to sit through a load of cases. I thought people on here would find it interesting. Despite some of the nonsense that goes on with Judges like Nolan and Dempsey I thought the Judge here was quite fair.
Now, apparently the day I was down is the day of the week when there's nobody even from the DPP there, it's just the GardaĆ prosecuting so it's quite informal and nothing too serious up. Nobody on the day I was there, of the approx 80 cases I witnessed was sent to jail. It was mainly fines and community service orders. There was also a few cases thrown out for either no witnesses or no gardaĆ showing up. The people who were down in the cells and had been in custody from the night previous were simply being released on bail so we didn't get much info on what happened with them.
So here's a summary :
1 ā A 20 year old guy was up for breach of Covid guidelines from 2 years ago. He pled guilty and explained that he had just started college and was working in a bar. Both were closed and so he was just sitting at home in his parents house bored. He went out in his car to purchase a Playstation 5 that was advertised on DoneDeal. GardaĆ pulled him over, took his name etc.. and he was summoned to court. Judge was less than impressed that her time was being wasted on this. She crticised GardaĆ for not just issuing a fine. As he had pled guilty she let him off with a ā¬100 charity donation and the probabtion action.
2 ā A middle-aged guy who worked in a factory. He was charged with criminal damage. Circumstances weren't really clear but sounded like a broken window or something during a row. Guy had no legal representation and told judge āI just want to plead guilty, I can't afford a solicitorā. The Judge explained he could get free legal aid but he said he was working and didn't think he was entitled to that. Judge asked him if what he worked at and he said in a factory. āDo you own the factory?ā she asked and he said āno, so then she explained to him that he was entitled to legal aid and told him she wouldn't accept a guilty plea to charges from someone who had no legal representation. She asked the GardaĆ to tell her was he āat riskā (I assume that meant of a prison sentence) and the Garda said not in his view. Anyway she told him she'd adjourn it to another day and he was to come back and deal with it.
3 ā A woman in her 30s was up for walking out of a grocery shop with a trolley full of stuff without paying. She pled guilty. Turned out at the time she had left her husband and was in sheltered domestic violence accommodation with her daughter. As she had no job at the time she had no money to purchase groceries. Probabtion report was furnished pointing out she was now in employment and had an apartment for herself and her kid. Judge convicted her and gave her a small fine.
4 ā Two young lads in tracksuits were up on drugs possession charges and dangerous driving. Garda didn't show up. Judge asked for an explanation and GardaĆ told her that the prosecuting Garda had moved to Cyprus for a year. Judge seemed annoyed and was asking when the Garda found out he was moving to Cyrpus and the Garda Prosecutor said only recently. She seemed exasperated and told them āit's your lucky day ladsā and struck case out.
5 ā A guy was up for for driving without insurance. He was already banned from driving and had 6 previous convictions, 3 of which were suspended prison sentences for motoring offences. He pled guilty and got a ā¬400 fine and community service.
5 ā A guy who had been convicted and banned from driving for dangerous driving was up for sentencing. Judge had viewed probation report. His lawyer made him stand up and pointed out that he had set up his own car valeting service ālook you can see he has his logo on his workwear and everything, no obviously they have to bring the cars to himā. Judge accepted he had done well and fined him.
6 ā Homeless woman was up for fraud. She had been going into the bank and taking out large withdrawals from her mother's account. Think it was ā¬8000 in total. Turned out on the third attempt a bank teller who knew her mother twigged what was going on and called GardaĆ. Her mother had asked GardaĆ not to charge her daughter.Judge ordered a probation report be prepared before sentencing.
7 ā Next up was a young guy in for sentencing for dangerous driving and driving without insurance. He had been ordered on a previous occasion to attend and complete a driver training course before sentencing. Turns out he didn't show up to it. He claimed his bus didn't show up and second time he had no explanation. Judge asked him was he working and he said he wasn't. Judge said if he wasn't working and had no education classes to attend then he had no excuse and convicted him and banend from driving for 2 years along with ā¬450 fine.
8 ā Another guy up on dangerous driving along with cannabis possession. Think he had caused an minor accident. Pled guilty and judge fined him ā¬400 and ordered him to complete a driver awareness course.

2023.06.07 15:13 MediocreCar6406 Advice needed please read.
So my brother noticed my younger sister (18) had posted TikToks making out my dad had abused her when she was younger. We both spoke to her about it and what she said has completely changed my life. she said she remembers on 3 occasions between the ages of 4-10 that my dad touched her inappropriately/apparently on one occasion asked her to kiss his pe**s but I just cannot believe it because all Iāve ever known my farther to be is an amazing kind and gentle man who would die for his children, that is not an understatement so please factor it into your thoughts because I have never noticed anything along those lines. I just cannot believe it me and my brother are in utter shock because all we know is the man who has never let us down.
My sister is having a hard time at the moment with college work, friends and boyfriends and she spends a lot of time online on TikTok and gaming with random people. Iām worried these people are influencing her thoughts at a time when sheās already unstable. Could this be the case that false memories are being created through her conversations with online peers with similar experiences??
Iāve also read about false memories being created through other childhood trauma. My parents used to walk round naked after baths and showers which can I say I donāt see an issue with, but I also remember a couple of occasions when I was younger seeing porn on my dads laptop which I think is normal to do but he should have made sure we didnāt see. But my point is could she have accidentally seen some porn in her childhood and also seen my dad naked which has created an association and fake memory? Last night she said sheās not 100% sure and 4 is very young to remember.
She doesnāt want me and my brother to do anything but we donāt know what to about it, weāre both completely heartbroken tbh and this feels like we could loose our parents and break the family up over a 14 year old memory from when she was 4 so we want to act rationally for the sake of everyone involved who we love dearly .
Any advice is much appreciated, please donāt judge because nothing is certain right now .

my grandfather always had candy in his pockets, and one time when I got really sick and I was hospitalized my dad told him not to give me any candy. He pulled out his pockets to show he hadn't even brought any and I got really sad but as soon as my dad walked out of the room he then proceeded to take off his hat and had 2 chewy chocolate candy toffees and 2 orange fanta toffees, and I'll never forget the happiness and surprise I felt in that one moment in my entire life.

2023.06.07 15:12 GMATLife Dog is acting strange after bringing home our newborn. Help :(
Our 1.5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback has been acting really strange the last couple of weeks after bringing our newborn baby home. She's nesting in her crate (which she never did before), whines a lot more, and just recently has stopped eating her breakfast and some dinner. She still has been eating treats, so we've tried mixing them in and she just picks around them. We have also tried mixing her favorite fruits in and still nothing. We've also tried to show her that the newborn was "eating" kibble at the same time as we gave her food and that was a no-go. Does any one have advice or a similar story? We love our pup a ton and still give her plenty of love, walks, treats, and cuddles.

2023.06.07 15:11 A_LostReviewer Need advice
My westie just made 16 years in April. He was the best dog ever and I got him a couple of months before I found out I was pregnant. He was my first baby.
In mid-April we had to take him to the ER vet because he was throwing up and had blood in his urine. We were told that he possibly had bladder cancer, but they weren't 100% sure. The sent us home with Sub Q IV bag to administer fluids, Gabapentin, Amoxicillin, and anti-nausea meds. He did the full course of meds and seemed to be back to his self again.
I thought everything was fine, until this past Friday when I let him out in the morning he vomited. Since it's summer for my kids, I told my daughter to watch him as I went to work. About two hours later, my daughter texted and said the dog was not eating. Another hour later, she tried to give him peanut butter and he threw it up. She said he was shaking, and his ears & gums were pale. While I was trying to leave work to get home, she said he was having trouble standing and was very weak. By the time I got home, he seemed to be walking around and seemed ok. Later that night I let him out and noticed he had some diarrhea. I figured I would just bring him into the vet the next morning and have him checked out.
The next morning though he started to have more diarrhea but this time with blood. I brought him to the vet and as soon as we walked into the room he just went to straight blood. The vet looked at us and said we have three options. He didn't test the bloody diarrhea, but after looking at his results from the April ER visit and our dogs' symptoms, he said it could be a couple of things. That we can treat the diarrhea with an antibiotic, give him some fluids since he was severely dehydrated and already lost weight, and do the Sub Q at home. He said we could bring him to the ER vet again where they could keep him over a couple of days to do fluids, but with his age and being away from you that could stress him out more. Or we could euthanize him. I asked for the first option to do the antibiotic and fluids (both at their office & home). They gave him a little bit of fluids while we were there and then sent him home with us. The rest of that Saturday and Sunday he was just so lethargic. That Saturday he continued to have the bloody diarrhea and we tried so hard to get him to drink. He was still drinking but would not eat. He was so frail. He could barely stand and if he did his little legs would shake and then he would lay down. We were able to get one of the antibiotic pills in, but for the 2nd dose he wouldn't take it and it just fell out of his mouth into his water bowl. The one pill seemed to have made his diarrhea stop, but he still would not eat or move around. I didn't want to give up on him though.
On Monday, I tried to get him to drink more water. For a moment he seemed to have been a little better, but still would not eat and started to seem like he didn't want his water either. Then we noticed he had an impacted anal gland. I called the vet, but they didn't answer (which was around lunch). I left a message but was going to try again at 1 pm. Between that time though, my daughter yelled from the room where the dog was. He had gotten up and she tried to pick him up and the gland ruptured all over her and the room. About another, 30 mins later he vomited yellow with spots of blood. I was so lost on what to do. My parents came and my mom when into the room to give the dog love. When I walked in, he puked again, yellow vomit with more spots of blood. Then he had a seizure and clasped to his side. His heart stopped for a second and then he came to. I was so scared, and I didn't want him to suffer.
I called the vet to see if they could euthanize him either that Monday or the next day. They said they could do it on Monday. So we went and on the way there my daughter rolled the window down and he reached for the breeze. When I saw this and we arrived to the vet I felt I was making the wrong decision. Maybe he just needed some fresh air and a breeze. They brought us to a room with a sofa and a little bed for the dog. We put him in the bed, and he just laid there. My parents and daughter were there, and I sat for an hour thinking that I was making the wrong decision. My parents though said it was his time. The vet came in and I went ahead with it.
Now I feel I made the wrong decision and that I ended my dog's life too soon. I should have tried the antibiotics a few more days and that maybe he would have bounced back and recovered. I don't feel like I gave him a long enough chance to fight and who am I to decide his time. He was always a fighter. I don't think he was ready to go. IDK, the last few days I have been crying and upset with myself that I didn't try harder. That maybe I should have brought him to the ER vet and maybe the Vet was wrong, that maybe he didn't have bladder cancer. Maybe he just had some intestinal bug, and he just needed the antibiotics and more fluids to beat it. He was fine on Thursday before he got sick. It happened so fast, and I feel like I rushed too quickly.

2023.06.07 15:11 UbiOlfacio New tattoo exposed to sun
I got a shoulder piece yesterday. Today I wanted to walk my dog and at this point, my shoulder is still wrapped in a white, thick hygienic underlay (artist said that there's no point in using saniderm, as there was too much fluid coming out) and when i walked into the sun, I felt as if my arm was being punctured by really small needles. Having felt that, I went back home. Overall i spent about 1 minute in the sun. Could there be some harm to the tatto, even though it was covered? Could it have been caused by the temperature, rather than direct sunlight?

2023.06.07 15:11 ImageRevolutionary43 Exact dates Arriva bus strikes will affect commuters as 1,700 North London bus drivers to walkout
Those who commute by bus in North London may have to brace themselves for some travel chaos later this month as over 1,700 bus drivers employed by Arriva are walking out in a dispute over pay. The drivers, who are part of Unite, the UKās leading union, have rejected a 7 per cent pay rise and say they cannot afford to live in London on their current starting pay rate of Ā£13.65 an hour.
The Arriva
bus drivers will kick off their strikes with an initial two-day strike action on Tuesday, June 20 and Wednesday, June 21, followed by a further two days of strike on Tuesday June 27 and Wednesday June 28.
Further strikes may be called if the dispute isnāt resolved by then. These will predominantly affect routes in
North and
East London.
The bus garages the drivers operate from are Ash Grove, Barking, Clapton, Edmonton, Enfield, Palmers Green, Tottenham and Wood Green.
Arriva is owned by Deutsche Bahn, one of the largest transport companies in the world and effectively owned by the German government. In the last 10 years, Arrivaās UK bus division has paid Ā£560 million to Deutsche Bahn in Germany in profit transfers, while Deutsche Bahn has paid dividends of Ā£5 billion to the German government.
Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: āArriva is an extremely wealthy company but it has got its priorities all wrong. It needs to be concentrating on paying its workers fairly rather than providing the German government with huge dividends.
āUnite is totally focussed on the jobs, pay and conditions of its members and the bus drivers at Arriva will receive the unionās complete support.ā
Unite regional officer Steven Stockwell said: āThe strike action is set to create travel chaos across London but this dispute is totally of Arrivaās own making. It has had every chance to make our members an offer that meets their expectations but has refused to do so.ā

2023.06.07 15:10 BabaBooey52 My child broke her arm at school. Should I ask them for financial help for medical bills?
My kindergartener fell off the monkey bars at school and broke her arm. This was not school negligence, or faulty playground equipment, it was just an accident. As far as I know, the school did everything they should have done; there was a teacher observing, who helped my daughter up and did a quick check. She must have been riding off shock and adrenaline, because it took about 2 minutes for the pain/tears to kick in, after which the teacher walked her to the nurse.
The nurse called home and I knew it was bad. A trip to Urgent Care confirmed our suspicions by taking an x-ray. The P.A. recommended we transfer to a childrenās hospital for further care and surgery, which we did. She had surgery last week and returned to class this week.
My request for advice is this⦠is the school responsible for the accident, or at least responsible for any of the doctor bills? Should I seek an attorney to help me with this matter? I am not experienced with legal issues, and I donāt want to blame the school for an accident, but I am anticipating the hospital fees. We carry a high-deductible insurance policy, and surely the insurance company will want their $7,500 (total annual deductible for family)before they pay their portion.

Voice Claim: Riley Andersen-Inside Out
Sexuality: Bisexual (Sheās not 100% sure about it yet)
Languages: English, French, Spanish
Demigod Conundrums: ADHD
Hometown: Buffalo, State of New York
Family: Arielle Hart nƩe Andersen (Mother)- Sadira shares a close and loving bond with her mother. Throughout the early years of Sadira's life, Arielle raised her single-handedly while juggling her responsibilities as a professor in Sociology. Sadira admires her mother's determination and strength in balancing work and raising her. Arielle's commitment to providing for their family, even during challenging times, has left a lasting impression on her. She deeply respects her mother and cherishes the sacrifices she made to ensure her well-being and happiness.
Morpheus (Father)- For Sadira, her father is a figure shrouded in mystery. She has never met him, and her knowledge about him is limited to what her mother and Greek mythology have revealed. Although she feels a sense of abandonment, Sadira acknowledges that she cannot possibly understand the responsibilities of a god. While his absence has left an emotional void, Sadira has learned to navigate life without his presence and focuses on the relationships she has in her immediate family.
Liam Hart (Stepfather)- Sadira's relationship with her stepfather has evolved into one of love and acceptance. Initially resistant to his presence, Sadira gradually opened up to Liam as they spent more time together. She appreciates Liam's genuine care and investment in her well-being. Over time, Sadira came to see him as a father, appreciating his support and guidance. The bond they share is built on trust and mutual respect, and Sadira feels grateful to have Liam as a significant presence in her life.
Oliver Hart (Stepbrother)- Sadira's relationship with her stepbrother has developed into a deep and affectionate sibling bond. Although there was skepticism during their initial meeting, their connection grew stronger as they spent more time together. Despite occasional disagreements, Sadira and Oliver have become close companions, supporting each other through life's ups and downs. Sadira values Oliver's presence as someone who understands her on a deeper level, making their relationship feel akin to that of biological siblings. They share a strong sense of camaraderie, and Sadira cherishes the moments they spend together.
Appearance Sadira Andersen stands at a petite height, around 5 feet tall, with a slender build that allows her to move with grace and agility. Her short wavy brown hair frames her face, with strands falling in gentle waves around her forehead and ears. She often styles her hair in a messy bun, secured with a few colorful hairpins or a soft headband. Sadira's hair has a natural shine to it, and she takes pride in keeping it well-maintained, despite its short length.
Her light green droopy eyes are a unique feature that captivate those who meet her. They hold a certain depth and reflect her thoughtful and introspective nature. When she's lost in her thoughts or daydreaming, her eyes seem to shimmer with a touch of enchantment. Sadira's tan skin suggests that she spends time outdoors, soaking up the sunlight during her stargazing sessions.
In terms of clothing style, Sadira prioritizes comfort above all else. She prefers loose-fitting shirts and sweaters made of soft, breathable fabrics. She often chooses earthy tones like muted greens, blues, and browns, although she occasionally adds a pop of color to her outfits with accessories or vibrant patterns. Her wardrobe consists of cozy cardigans, comfortable jeans or leggings, and a collection of well-worn sneakers and boots that have accompanied her on many adventures.
Personality Overview While she may not be the most talkative person in a group, she possesses a remarkable ability to listen attentively when someone shares their thoughts or concerns. Sadira's empathetic nature allows her to understand and connect with others on a deep emotional level, offering comfort and support when needed. Despite her introversion, Sadira does enjoy engaging in conversations that revolve around her interests. When the topic turns to music, literature, or any subject close to her heart, she becomes animated and expressive. Her passion shines through as she shares her thoughts and insights, often surprising others with her depth of knowledge and understanding. Sadira's daydreaming tendencies are both a blessing and a challenge. While her vivid imagination fuels her creativity and helps her explore alternative realities, it can also make her prone to distraction. She often finds herself lost in the realms of her mind, with her head in the clouds for more extended periods than she intends. As a result, she occasionally struggles with focusing on tasks that require her undivided attention. Kindness and compassion are integral parts of Sadira's character. She goes out of her way to help others and is quick to offer support or lend a helping hand. Her natural inclination to nurture and care for those around her has earned her a reputation for being a reliable and trusted friend. However, Sadira's low self-esteem often undermines her confidence. She struggles with feelings of inadequacy and frequently doubts her abilities. Despite her internal battles, she maintains an outwardly calm and composed demeanor, concealing her insecurities behind a gentle smile.

- Low Self-Esteem: Sadira battles with low self-esteem, often doubting her abilities and feeling inadequate. Her perception of herself can undermine her confidence and prevent her from fully embracing her potential and pursuing her dreams.
- Overthinking: Sadira tends to overanalyze situations, often getting lost in her thoughts and worrying excessively. Her tendency to overthink can lead to indecisiveness and unnecessary stress, preventing her from fully enjoying the present moment.
- Overattachment: Sadira's intense emotional connection with the people she loves can make her overly attached and possessive. This flaw stems from her fear of abandonment and leads to a reluctance to let go, sometimes stifling personal growth and suffocating relationships.
- Impatience: While Sadira is patient in some aspects of her life, she can be impatient when it comes to waiting for results or when tasks do not align with her interests. This impatience can occasionally lead to frustration and hinder her ability to persevere through longer processes.

She has a huge collection of small, delicate trinkets and keepsakes that she just canāt throw away because they hold sentimental value for her, but she fails to realise, or maybe she doesnāt care, that having a hoarding habit is not healthy.
- Her therapist played a crucial role in Sadira“s life, helping her cope with her ADHD and past bullying experiences. This experience is what inspires her to want become a therapist herself.
Backstory Sadira was born to Arielle Hart nƩe Andersen and Morpheus, God of Dreams, in Buffalo, New York. Her mother, Arielle Hart nƩe Andersen, was a professor of Sociology at a local university. Despite her demanding career, Arielle always made time for her daughter, instilling in Sadira a love for learning and an appreciation for the world around her. Their small apartment became a sanctuary of warmth and love amidst the challenges they faced.
The first dramatic change in Sadiraās life happened when she was six. One day, her mother came home with a man, who she introduced as her new boyfriend, Liam Hart, and his nine year old son, Oliver Hart. At first, Sadira was hostile towards this new man and childā why did they have to come along and take Arielleās attention away from her? But she quickly warmed up on Liam (she was completely sold after the first time he made pancakes for her) and Oliver. And when Arielle and Liam got married a few years later, and moved Sadira was happy to have a father and an older brother, and they got really close as time went by.
Sadira had a pretty calm and normal childhood. It may have been because of Liam, who was protecting her behind the scenes, it may have been for other reasons, she had never had any monster attacks while growing up. And so, she was completely unaware of the world she belonged in.
But that came to an end a month after her 13th birthday, when strange things started to happen. It started with subtle signs, peculiar incidents that Sadira couldn't quite explain. Her friends began to experience unexplained drowsiness whenever she spoke to them, as if her presence invoked a profound sense of sleepiness. Later, she began having feeling of being constantly watched. The sensation followed her wherever she went, causing her to become increasingly paranoid. And , more recently, the world around her seemed to shift, and she caught glimpses of creatures straight out of mythology that shouldn't exist in the mortal realm. These encounters were unsettling for Sadira, to the point where she began genuinely questioning her own sanity, and decided to tell her family about it.
It was when she was on her way home from school that Sadira was suddenly attacked by a hellhound, an experience that could very well have been her last if it werenāt for the interference of Liam. As soon as Sadira was safe and sound, Arielle and Liam decided to tell her all of the truth about herself, and in a way, about Liam too. They revealed that everything she had read about Greek Mythology was real, that she was the child of a god , and that Liam himself was also a demigod, son of Apollo, which was the reason he could heal her so quickly. In less than an hour, Sadira found out what she was, who her father was, who her stepfather was, and, on top of all of that, she received the news that she would have to leave her home to go to Camp Half-Blood, a place where she could be safe from monsters and learn to defend herself before against them, and Liam would be the one to take her there. It was overwhelming for her, and she was scared and confused about everything. However, even if that was the case, had to admit to herself that she was somewhat excited. Yes, she knows that her life would be harder and almost constantly in danger, but for daydreamer and fantasy nerd like Sadira, it seemed like she had become the protagonist of her own fantasy novel. How could she not be even a little bit excited about that?
Now The journey to Camp Half-Blood was anything but peaceful. Monsters relentlessly pursued them, launching relentless attacks on the road. Sadira's heart raced as she fought for her survival alongside stepfather. Through a combination of sheer luck and Liamās resourcefulness, they managed to fend off the monsters and continue their perilous journey.
When they finally arrived at Camp Half-Blood, with some minor injuries but nothing to worry about thanks to Liam, Sadira could finally take in the view of the place she would have to call home for a while. It was bigger and livelier than she expected, but she wasnāt really complaining. While Liam presented her to the Camp Directors, an image of what looked like sand started glowing above her head, which revealed her as a child of Morpheus, god of dreams. After that whole debacle and Liam unfortunately having to leave, Sadira was now wandering around the camp, a bag with some of her belongings on her shoulder, and absolutely clueless about where she was going. She was looking for the cabin she was going to stay in, but how was she supposed to find it if she didnāt even know where to look for it.
āThis place is so much bigger from up closeā¦āshe sighed to herself āIām starting to regret not having asked for a map or a guideā¦ā
(OOC: Hello everyone! Sorry if the formatting on the post looks weird, Iām not very good at it. But anyways, I hope you have fun meeting Sadira! Have a nice day!)

2023.06.07 15:10 whitedogseek Best way to cover old doorway
I closed off an old exterior door we didnāt use and where we are building a walk-in pantry on the inside. Trying to figure out the best siding to cover the doorway. The siding around it is old hardboard siding. Eventually, the house will be completely resided, so I just need a short term solution to cover the sheathing. Seems like a waste to buy a whole square of vinyl siding for a small area. Also considering James Hardie board which I can buy in smaller quantities or PVC trim panel. Seams are now all zip taped, FYI. Thanks all!

2023.06.07 15:10 PuzzledWalrus6769 Skateboarding am I right?
Iām in a lot of knee pain had a prior skateboarding injury where I shattered my ankle and needed rods and pins. Now I rolled onto my back and my leg came down fast and felt like my knee exploded. without my body weight but alot of momentum my foot hit the ground fast and quick. Ei lay on the ground and bring your heel to your but. Something like that. But I walked it off the pain subsided ( adrenaline probably cause it didnāt hurt much after and I continued to skate. ) After a few days I got an X-ray cause the pain spiked at work, I wanted to make sure it wasnāt fractured. X-ray was clean soI took a few days of work of and the pain subsided. 2 weeks later due to Multiple other falls, same day/ weekand of the knee injury repeated actions at work I had to get my wrist checked out due to immense pain . Mri showed I bruised my 3rd metacarpal and take off work for 3 weeks . I go back to work with a brace and switched my stance for when shoveling and sweeping. My job is primarily sweep debris from a concrete block machine, rotate block, swing hammers, use chipping hammers. Standard Factory concrete block job. I was good for a few days I could only sweep and shovel but I had to swap my stance/grip. My normal stance bears weight on left knee when pivoting for anything . With the brace i have to pivot on my right knee.. After 8 hours on the second day, I was in unimaginable pain. I only sit on the job for 20 minutes of the 12 hr shift. The amount of pain is like a 7 when I step on it and lift up after stepping on it. I havenāt done anything traumatic to it recently. It just started acting up mid shift. Tylenol arthritis makes it workable on but when it wears off itās hell. Oh btw dates of falls on my wrists are April 1st to 14th,as the 14th was the day I hurt my knee. The 16th was the day I got X-ray of knee. I stopped working on May 11 from the wrist pain And the mri of my hand was may 25.(outpatient lab was booked up.) I returned to work June 1st and itās been hurting since the 2nd.
What could this pain be and should I take off work again?

2023.06.07 15:10 Ygnerna Hey bumhole.
It's about the time you would be getting tested/getting results/finding out if you are some kind of diagnostic genius. I hope it goes well for you, and you find answers.
I'm not going to message you and ask, because you stopped talking to me out of nowhere, and it kind of bothered me - in a walking around with a stone in your shoe kind of way. It's not painful, but it's there and it's annoying when I notice it. Anyway, it's June now, so I noticed.
Good luck, maybegettestedfordickheaditiswhileyourethere only joking sort of.
