I am completely new to mtg (just bought my deck earlier today) and I dont completely understand all the purposes/functions of some of the cards, but this one happened to be in the deck that I got and I can't wrap my head around why it was put in. Does anyone know why it was?

Finished volume 5 this weekend and I'm about to start the last one, The Sun Sword. Pat's review of the first one intrigued me enough to give this series a shot and I've been unable to put the books down. If not for the fact that I couldn't afford to buy them all at the same time, I'd already be done with the entire series.
It's Erikson's worldbuilding meets Hobb's characterization. The first half of the first volume is slow-going and a little hard to get into, but once you go through that the rest is amazing!
Based on the quality of her books, not sure why Michelle West is not better known.

So basically, Aga 3 seems to have been much louder when it comes to expressing his opinions. I think he took clear positions in some international political stuff too. Aga 4 seems to be completely silent on anything that could be even slightly controversial. His decisions seem to be driven by pure $$$. If anyone knows of any issues that Aga 4 has taken that were based on principle and went against his drive to become even richer, feel free to help me and others discover. And if Aga 3/4 operated different in your opinion, what are the reasons?

Help! So my husband started a job, well technically he did the training. It was a 4 week paid training where you get paid at the end of the 4 weeks. You were to get one amount no matter what for your time and an additional amount if you did well on the tests. He was told he got the highest score on the first 3 weeks. It has now been an entire week since the 4th test ended and he cannot get ahold of anyone! At least not the manager and his secretary who were the 2 people he had been in contact with regularly.
He This is a company that is based in Switzerland but has a branch in New York which is where the manager was based. We live in California. Now this was to be a mostly work from home type job with around 2-4 trips per year to New York and 1-2 to Switzerland.
My question is….is there anything we can do or should do to get at minimum his payment for doing the 4 weeks of training that he was promised??? Isn’t it illegal not to pay for someone’s time when that was promised???
I mean you would think they would want to finish the hiring process with the person who was the top scorer on the tests, right??? I mean it never took more than 12-24hrs to get a response back up until this last week. The last he heard back from them was when they sent him the 4th and final test. Are there any subreddits that let you post your work for others to read, review and critique? I never get any feedback on my fanfictions and it's driving me nuts. I'd like some feedback like a "out of five stars" type feedback, and a what would you do differently with thus and so character?
