This is the place for requests that you think might be too obscure, niche, or difficult to answer to be their own book request post. I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to answer your request, but I’ll try my best, and if at all possible, I'll give you suggestions that have similar elements and might scratch the itch.
Please remember to check the TWs of books recommended to you. Sometimes authors keep these on websites, only on the GR blurb, or in the sample/front matter you can view on Amazon.
Please don’t:
- Make your request too general. There’s tons of just plain ol’ age-gap recs. Give me more tropes if possible or a specific idea, as that’s the point of this thread.
- Repeat a request you’ve previously made in a standalone book request post. I read those posts too, so if you didn’t get a response when you posted before, it’s probably because your request is too difficult to answer.
- Make more than two requests. I want to make sure to get to everyone if possible.

I recently came to my own personal conclusion that these are the best, most consistently funny post-Stefon recurring sketch / character(s).
For starters, they only do them once a season, so we don't get the risk of diminishing returns like we do with sketches that appear multiple times a year. I think every installment at least has a year-long gap between them.
Secondly, Cecily and Mikey are fantastic in these. They are so keyed in and dedicated to these characters. Their voices and mannerisms always land.
Finally, and I think this is the sketch's greatest strength, they only do these sketches when they have the right host who can convincingly go from a cheery, cheesy teacher to an unbridled fountain of increasing anger at the stupidity he is experiencing. It requires a dynamic range only certain hosts can pull off.
As for the best one, Rockwell has the classic f-bomb and has the advantage of being the first one, but I think Sudeikis's is the funniest: the way he jumps on Melissa's flub at mispronouncing Lonnie is absolutely fantastic, plus Jason's really second to none when it comes when it comes to comically angry fits of rage.
Oh, and one more thing: these pieces really feel timeless. I can see them being done in the 1970s' with Gilda in Cecily's role, maybe Bill or Belushi as Mikey's, and Aykroyd or Buck Henry as the teacher. Just a damn good old fashioned sketch concept.

honestly, I wasn’t the best partner in the relationship and definitely set myself up to be broken up with. I neglected her needs because i could barely take care of myself. it just stings more that she’s already moved on and is talking to someone else. i should say i do believe she has every right to take care of herself but i just need help on how to take care of myself going through the breakup.

After connecting my smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Lite 10T to my Pioneer AVIC F980BT, via USB cable and Bluetooth at the same time, everything works perfectly except for the sound in Waze.
That is, when Waze gives any indication the radio volume goes down, and nothing is heard.
However, if I put a song on Spotify or listen to an SMS out loud, from then on I hear the indications from Waze.
It seems that the Waze sound only works after another application uses the car radio sound!
I've already checked the settings and I've read some tutorials but I wasn't successful in solving the problem. ☹️

Hello Reddit, I am planning a trip to Marocco soon and would like to learn some Darija before going to be able to chat with the local in their mother tongue. I am fluent in French and know a tiny bit of Arabic (MSA) but no Darija. In my experience, making an effort to chat in the local language makes for a more interesting trip and is polite.
I am struggling to find good material beyond the very basic stuff and was wondering if you guys had recommendations short of getting a tutor online which I am considering.
Outside of movies, do you have books or YouTubers to recommend? I heard that Moroccan tv shows were maybe not the best, but if any stand out, I am all ears.

Traumatic is probably too strong a word, but I had a very scary experience in which a car zoomed out of a parking lot exit to my right and slammed into my car so hard that I span uncontrollably into incoming traffic in the next lane. My breaks weren't working and for a few seconds I literally thought I was for sure going to do.
Thankfully my car swerved into another parking lot on the other side and I managed to pull the emergency break. I ended up with a sprained wrist and some other bruises, so, it really wasn't that bad (car was totalled of course).
To this day, I still slightly panic when a cat starts approaching my lane from the right side, causing me to often swerve or break unnecessarily, which, as my wife often points out, is a recipe for another accident.
Here's where thos gets embarrassing. Its Its been a YEAR. I wasn't even badly hurt, like, wtf. How can I get over this?
Any advice would be sincerely appreciated.

Me(19) and my friend (20) This happened a month or two ago but it still hurts me and idk what went wrong. I had a best friend at my college and we used to hang out together always after college. She was an amazing person. She had listen to me rant and i have heard her everytime. Including giving her a hug once (i don't really like skinship that much). So everything was going fine and we went on tour with other friends and from the day we came back she has only ignored me. She used to talk to me everytime we see. But then she only talks to people even strangers past me or near me and treat me like some ghost or someone who doesn't exist . It really hurts as i don't have many friends who are close. When conforted after trying so much she said she doesn't consider me as a friend which hurt even more and I'm less than even a stranger. But is totally fine with others.
( I don't have any romantic interest towards her or vice versa and nothing happened in that tour as well..)
Any advice or insight would be helpful it's been eating from inside for too long

I am returning to the office and now looking for a more long-term vehicle to replace my lease. I've been in an Alfa Romeo Giulia for the past 3-years. While it's not the Quad, I have enjoyed a few of the luxury comforts. I'm looking for some suggestions on what vehicles to consider. It needs to be 2019+, needs to have Apple CarPlay, needs to be ~$30K or under, comfortable for long commutes, needs to be sedan, wagon, or maybe an SUV, and have decently low miles.
