"I am the Pretty Guardian who fights for Love and for Passion. I am Sailor Mars! In the Name of Mars, I'll chastise you!" ❤️🔥🔥 This is a perfume tray inspired by Rei Hino AKA Sailor Mars. She represents Fire & Passion 🔥🏹. Her entire personality screams "Aries" to me ♈️! She's hot-headed, stubborn, yet also fiercely loyal to those she loves. She is spiritual and traditional, and works at her grandfather's shrine as a shrine priestess ⛩. Because of her deep-rooted spirituality and fiery personality (pun intended), I wanted to choose perfumes that were timeless, elegant, and incensey. Her fondness for all things traditional made me feel inspired to choose the classic red rose 🌹 as her signature floral scent. Random Fun Sailor Mars quotes: 🏹 "Only old men think men are better than women these days." 🏹"I'm not insulting you. I'm just describing you." Perfumes: Amouage Rose Incense: dark, woody, and incensey rose Atelier des Ors Rose Omeyyade: sweet jammy raspberry rose with an oudy undertone. GORGEOUS gold sparkles that kinda looks like the flickering of fire. Cartier Le Baiser Du Dragon: smells like the inside of a traditional Asian thrift shop, complete with incense. Old-school and vintage Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl: looks like Sailor Mar's famous signature red heels! Fruity lychee rose Jo Malone Scarlet Poppy: elegant, classy, and very slightly mature. Smells like powdery raspberry lipstick Solstice Scents Séance: very headshoppy; smells like you're performing a seance and/or like an Asian temple, complete with the smoke and incense. BDK Parfums Rouge Smoking: cherry cola with a light powderiness Wylde Ivy Fireborn: smoky and woody, like a forest on fire. Perfect for a girl that wields fire. Room 1015 Cherry Punk: Lost Cherry but with more leather. Sailor Mars is a total badass so she deserves a badass cherry leather scent! submitted by berryskye to FemFragLab [link] [comments]
2023.06.05 14:31 Curious-Month7727 22 [M4F] UK - Online, Hoping I Can Find That Special Someone One Day 🙏🏻
Intro
I wanna make a post for people to read that isn't too boring, long / short, or cheesy as I have a habit of talking about my emotions + feelings when it comes to this sort of thing, that's mostly what I talked about in my last post... I'm hoping I can get at least someone's attention by writing the right and necessary words on this subreddit... So, where to begin?
I guess I'll start with what I'm looking for in terms of dating. A fresh, warm, healthy and positive long-term relationship is what I've been craving for the last 4¼ years (after getting a taste of it 4¼ years ago then it was instantly taken away), not as in desperate or obsessed with it, more as in yearning for that right person to come along and bring sunshine to my life for the first time in a very long time. Someone who'll accept me for who I am and not care about what I have / don't have, someone who'll understand and accept my insecurities and flaws, not to mention me doing the same for her as well. I wanna have that happy and bright future with that special someone, similar to all the couples I see on Instagram who laugh, joke, tease each other, flirt, do fun activities together both indoors and outdoors, purchase matching items for them to wear and hold dear, hold hands... I want the dream.
However, I do understand that relationships need time to form and grow in a healthy and positive way, so maybe we could get to know each other first and see where things lead?
Personality (100% the truth)
As you might have guessed, I am a hard core introvert. Although I get along with people irl; I briefly chat to them by saying the usual "hello" or "alright?", I then usually keep to myself from them most times to avoid feeling ignored / unimportant / irrelevant in their eyes. This is because I'm not that great at socialising in public places like the club or anywhere else, and also due to the fact that I feel extremely shy whilst meeting new people. However, if others ARE willing to get to know me and want me in their presence, I will perk up and be quite a confident individual once enough time passes :)
Other things you should know about me is that I'm extremely loyal and will never hurt the people I love and hold dear, no matter what. I care too much about the people in my life, including family, and I also will never let them down or disappoint them in any way.
Just a little fun fact about me, my zodiac sign is Cancer ♋️🦀 for those of you who are interested and if that matters to you at all. This is related to what I've just written above in the second and fourth paragraphs.
Hobbies
I'm an indoor type of person. I like:
•Watching TV shows like Doctor Who when new episodes come out, The Simpsons and Hollyoaks 5 days a week, and binging on a ton of movies.
•Listening to music pretty much every single day as I'm a huge HUGE fan of it.
•Gaming on PC games such as GTA, Red Dead, and Minecraft.
•I may stay indoors most of the time, but I DO also enjoy doing outdoor activities like spending my days out in places in the UK like Scarborough, Blackpool, Hornsea and Withernsea. I'm going to a place named Filey late next month so hopefully I'll get to take a load of pics to show you if you're interested :)
•I'm also interested in Photography, taking stunning photos both indoors and outdoors to store and save for later. Wildlife, sea life and everything else in between is what I'm most interested in :)
•Playing different sports such as Badminton, Bowling, Cricket, Dodgeball, Tennis and Volleyball on the beach are activities I really enjoy doing, but I haven't played them recently thanks to a lack of others playing them with me.
•Gardening and working with plants is something that really fascinates me, planting and watching plants of all shapes and sizes grow is everything I've wanted to do since my late high school days. Also getting a bit of sunshine on my neck in the summer does me some good lol.
•I occasionally like doing artistic activities like card making, paper crafting, drawing and painting, but only on special occasions.
•I also like to read from time to time.
Physical Appearance
My appearance is quite normal:
•I'm 5'8 in height (1.73 m)
•Eye colour is dark blue 💙
•I've got quite the decent body shape
•I have no tattoos but I'm considering getting a few in the future
•I've got a small amount of facial hair
•I've got quite a lot of dark brown hair on the top of my head but keep it in control most times with hairspray
•I've got an average to slightly above average face imo (pics can be exchanged if you're interested in knowing what I look like)
•I'm healthy with no health conditions or concerns
•I wear normal clothes such as buttoned t-shirts, hoodies / denim jackets, jeans / tracksuit bottoms, and leather jackets in colder weather.
•I also have a balanced diet as I go grocery shopping at least once a week. I shower 7 days a week and I brush 🪥 everyday too.
Important Topic to Cover
I'm not gonna mention what my source of income is because I don't want anyone to message me just because of that, like so many people have done before.
Preferences In You
I don't have many tbh. Just as long as you
•Live in the UK, or at least in different countries that are close to the UK like Norway, Ireland, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, France, or perhaps even The Netherlands, since all have shorter time-zone differences to the ones in the UK which will make it so much easier to chat at similar times (but you can message me wherever you are on the globe)
•Don't smoke or do drugs
•My age limit is between 18-23, but people that are past that age range can also message me.
•I'm not religious, by any means, but I don't mind dating people who are.
•Come as you are, no sugar coating, be real, be genuine. 🚫No NSFW content please🚫, that's all I ask.
It looks like the Reddit chat is finally redeeming itself by not glitching out every 5 seconds and sending messages to one another on time, so feel free to message me wherever you feel most comfortable on :D

2023.06.05 11:51 BeBa420 Best cannabis shops in karon beach area? Best in Phuket?
Hey all
I’m gonna be staying near karon beach and I’ve been looking at weed shops around Karon Beach. Found a few that look awesome (judging by Google reviews and photos of the store) but curious to hear recommendations from locals or from people who have been there
Looking for some in Karon beach and happy to travel further away for a really good shop. After decent pricing and good strains and if they’ve got a cool area to chill and smoke that’s a nice bonus. Especially curious about any shops that sell vape cartridges (though not sure if they’re used over there).
Also are cigars easy to find over there (like a regular tobacco cigar)?
Edit: please no offers to hook me up in the DMs. I’m going to a country where it’s legal-ish. It’s always been my dream to walk into a shop and pick out different strains to try. That’s the experience I’m after. Messaging a stranger on the internet to arrange a meeting in alleyway is an experience I am already very familiar with. Also not looking to do anything illegal on my vacation. Just enjoy some good weed and good food on a beautiful island. Worrying about getting arrested is not part of my vacation plans

2023.06.05 08:56 MeepingMeeps What is your "I-will-go-out-of-my-way-for-this-shit" food?
I've got a shortlist of my go-to restaurants, but it's very short and sad. I'm planning on visiting some new places this summer--can you recommend what your favorites go-to's are?
Example: I love dizi sangi for their persian food.
For the best NY slice, I always go for A Slice of NY.
An amazing bagel shop is Izzy's Brooklyn Bagels.
A phenomenal Reuben sandwich can be acquired at Gunther''s Restaurant & Catering.
My favorite BBQ place is Smoking Pig BBQ.

2023.06.05 08:34 TheTim The Tough Reality of Running an Independent Retail Shop in Downtown Everett [LONG!]
exterior of Chai Cupboard, with a large replica Moai It's been just over two years since my wife and I opened the doors at Chai Cupboard, our loose leaf tea and spice shop in downtown Everett, and I thought it would be a good time to share how things are going for our little mom and pop shop. Can we call ourselves a mom and pop shop if we're only in our 40s? Whatever, I'm going for it. In short: It has been and continues to be difficult! Starting up Let's start with what it took just to open our doors. We spent about $32,000 of our own money (no investments, no loans) to start up. This included things like buying the initial inventory, all our jars and other supplies, furniture, and putting in new flooring. Finding a good location in downtown Everett was a challenge. It seemed like every space we looked at was either way too large (2,000+ square feet), way too expensive ($2,000+ a month), or both. The space we eventually landed in is around 1,100 square feet and costs us just under $1,800 a month. Plus electricity and gas. Plus parking. Plus basic building maintenance, repairs, and real estate taxes. You would think that those last few things should be the responsibility of the landlord that owns the building, but this particular landlord owns such a large portion of downtown Everett that they are able to dictate the terms of the lease to dramatically favor them and there's basically nothing you can do about it. Fun! a Shiba Inu named Maya lays contentedly in a ray of sunlight in front of a shelf full of glass jars that contain tea Keeping the lights on Okay, so let's talk about ongoing costs. All together, running the shop five days a week, we need to make about $100 a day in profit to pay our basic bills. That means we need around $200 a day in sales to break even after paying for our inventory and other supplies. So far in 2023 we're making an average of $117 per day in sales. That's up from $100 per day during the same period in 2022, but still far short of where we need to be in order just to break even—and these figures are with no employees, just us (mostly my wife) running the shop entirely by ourselves. If we wanted to hire just a single employee at $20 an hour for 20 hours a week, the wages, taxes, and other costs would add up to another $2,000 a month or more than $100 a day. All of this means that we're putting about another $1,500 into the shop every month out of our pocket to keep the doors open. To date we have made around $55,000 in revenue, but spent a total of about $128,000, meaning that over $70,000 has come directly out of our pocket to try to make this work. Expanding our horizons Since it has been difficult selling enough loose-leaf tea and spices to make ends meet, we have been working on a few different ideas to try to bring in more money. The biggest of these plans was to open a full tea bar, serving things like tea lattes and iced tea. Unfortunately, our space is not equipped with the proper kitchen to obtain the necessary permits from the health department. Our landlord was open to letting us pay to upgrade their space (how generous of them!) and we were able to get a grant from the city for about $16,000 that we thought would cover the plumbing improvements and appliances we would need. Unfortunately again, once we opened up the walls we discovered that the existing drainage was nowhere near sufficient for the amount of sinks the health department requires. Fixing this would require considerably more work than we originally expected, including cutting a trench into the concrete floor. Between the extra drainage work and the extreme inflation that ratcheted up the cost of everything else while we tried to figure it all out, the total cost of the project ballooned to over $50,000. We applied for a second grant in hopes of still moving forward, but were denied. So the full tea bar idea is dead unless we find a whole new location with a proper restaurant kitchen, which would of course have much higher rent, somewhat negating the benefit of opening the tea bar at all. three glass tea brewers, each with tea currently brewing Thankfully as long as we only serve hot tea in a to-go cup, we are not classified by the health code as a "food establishment," so we can still do that without all of the extra sinks. We have been able to set up three tea brewers on a custom stand that I built out of hardwood, and at least provide a basic cup of tea to-go. Building the physical and digital space a custom-built wooden counter holding a register and some tea brewers, in a shop with brick walls and a shelf with jars in the background Speaking of building furniture, the shop has given me a good excuse to spend some quality time with my woodworking tools. I built our custom shelves that hold all the jars, as well as the custom main counter, and I'm quite pleased with how they all turned out. a shelf made of wood and pipe, full of glass jars with spices, in front of a brick wall Surprisingly, building physical objects like the furniture has been easier than building things in the digital space. While we have had a basic website set up since before we opened, building a proper online shop has been a bit of a pain. Aside from the challenge of synchronizing all of our inventory with an online storefront, to get it properly set up we need to take individual photos of all 200+ of the teas and spices we sell, which is a daunting task. Once we do get the online side of the store set up with all the photos, another idea we've had to increase sales is to set up a tea sampler subscription box, but the economics of subscription boxes is pretty rough. There are competitors in the space that sell a tea box for $20 that includes shipping. It would be difficult for us to make and ship a box of teas for less than $20 in actual cost to us. So, what's next? We have really enjoyed running the shop, learning more about teas and spices, and meeting all the lovely people who have come in over the past two years. To date we have had nearly 2,000 customers, about 25% of which are repeat customers. We have had zero problems with crime, and only one unpleasant run-in with an individual having a drug-induced psychotic episode. Downtown Everett is a great location, and we love the increasing number of events that are happening downtown like Sorticulture, Salty Sea Days, and the Wintertide Festival & Market. We're convinced that our shop is a valuable addition to Everett, but it's tough to keep pouring thousands of dollars into it every single month, and to be so far away from even being able to hire a single person to help out. It is beginning to feel like running a small independent retail shop in downtown Everett may not be viable with the current cost of rent, lack of significant downtown foot traffic, and most people's default mode of shopping online first. We've still got over a year on our current lease, so we're going to continue trying to make this work, but looking around at the other businesses downtown, it's easy to see why they're mostly restaurants, breweries/bars, coffee shops, or retailers who have been around forever and own their own building. And of course, I haven't even mentioned the other big complicating factor: In just a few weeks we're having a baby! This means we're going to have to dramatically cut back how many hours the shop is even open, due to the aforementioned inability to afford to hire any additional help. Anyway, if you fancy some tea, stop on by! We're at 2809 Colby in downtown Everett. And if you have some brilliant idea for how to make this type of business actually turn a profit, please drop me a line and share it! a row of glass jars full of colorful spices, with white labels and gold lids, sitting on a wooden shelf in front of a brick wall submitted by TheTim to everett [link] [comments]

2023.06.05 06:19 veronella 4 Days in LA (bb one-bagger's maiden voyage!)
trusty ol' Timbuk2 (circa 2010!) Flight Outfit / Day 1: Urban Exploration Day 3: Beach-Hopping Tried posting this a few min ago, and all the text in the post disappeared. 😭 Re-posting now, minus the full packing list because I just can't. 🫠 This was my first true one-bagging excursion as a historical over-packer, and I'm really proud of myself! I've been really inspired by everyone's posts here for the last few months that I've been lurking. It was really fun to finally put all the tips I've gleaned into action. The trip was just an extended weekend to visit my friend in Los Angeles. We were planning a variety of activities...from sailing, to casual beach walks, to dining at nice restaurants. This made for a slightly challenging pack into the single "personal item" allotted for my flight. I spent 2 evenings prior to my trip trying on different combinations of clothing to sort out which pieces to bring for optimal interchangeability. 😅 I used my old standby Timbuk2 laptop commuter bag that I've had for over a decade. It fit the airline's size requirements and worked out nicely! It was great to be able to use something I already had for my main bag. Also brought 2 small bags-- this Wilderdog utility pack for my in-flight essentials and this Envelope Convertible Cross-body bag from Portland Leather. I was ready to stuff the hip pack into my backpack if needed, but didn't get any flack for it when I boarded. Some of you might remember this post I made about trying to find my unicorn hip-pack/cross-body bag. I ended up finding this Wilderdog pack after making that post, and am pretty happy with it! Was also glad to have the nicer purse with me, which helped to dress up some of my more casual clothing. It's super slim, so it easily slipped into the laptop sleeve of my backpack when it was empty. Kudos to the commenter who recommended it on someone else's post in this sub! (I tried to find the original thread I stumbled upon, but couldn't, for the life of me!) The outfits in the photos were my 2 main "base" outfits. I had a couple of other sleeveless/short-sleeved shirts to trade out with the pants, and then depending on the activity/temperature, would switch between the cardigan & yellow fleece pullover and/or add the dark green jacket, and switched between the Taos sneakers & Birkenstocks. I also had a nice dark blue scarf (forgot to stage it in the pic) that I could use for warmth & dressing up my outfits as needed. The leggings doubled as pajamas along w/whatever shirt I'd worn that day. I didn't end up wearing every pair of socks I brought, but it wasn't a big deal to have an extra pair or two. All in all, I think the clothes I brought worked out! I did end up buying another pair of shoes at a surf shop on Day 3 while we were out beach-hopping, because I'd started getting blisters from my Birks (and had left my sneakers back at my friend's place to dry out after they got wet sailing the day before). Not the cheapest purchase on-the-fly, but I'm glad I was able to find a pair of shoes that were actually comfortable (as opposed to cheap flip-flops), and ones that I'll get a decent amount of wear out of (unlike cheap flip-flops). These are the shoes I bought: Sanuk Pair O Dice Slip-ons in washed black Sooooo glad I went with these Dovetail pants instead of my "comfy" jeans. Jeans would NOT have been up to the maneuvering I needed to do on the tiny boat we sailed on! 😅 Lots of squatting and kneeling and such. The one drawback to these pants, though, was that they took a very long time to dry after getting the cuffs wet. I will say though that they made for great travel pants! So many pockets, and a very comfy elastic/drawstring waist. But as much as they felt like sweatpants, they looked nice enough to go straight from the airport to lunch at a renowned pizzeria! 😁 The one thing I absolutely did NOT need to pack was the book I brought lol. Since it was a social-focused trip, the only opportunities I had to read were on the flight or while waiting at the airport. But the flights were short (just over 2 hours in each direction), and I'm much more inclined to listen to music and look out the window when I fly than read or watch something. So I think I'll leave my books at home for future trips, unless I know I'll be having substantial solo leisure time at my destination. Packing for this trip helped me realize that 1) I can do it! I can actually do it 🥲 2) I need to purge my closet of clothes that no longer fit me (probably the most challenging part of this whole experience) 3) As much as I rely on "how I'm feeling in the moment" to dress at home, it will be FINE while traveling to wear a predetermined outfit that I don't feel 100% cute in. The whole point of traveling is the experiences I'm having, not how cute I think I look while having them. submitted by veronella to HerOneBag [link] [comments]
2023.06.05 03:42 Sad-Pie-4641 Public medical use Qs
What’s everyone’s view on smoking/vaping medical in public? On a recent night out in Brisbane a mate whipped out his meds canister and proceeded to grind up and roll a joint on a table. Security was 2m away looking at both of us as we started talking. Everything was cool. I had my vape but I always try to be very discreet. I don’t have an issue with it but I am concerned about not carrying in the original container for legal reasons. I always carry a photo of my current script in case it may help or the pharmacy receipt. I got an Xmax v3 pro and dosing capsules and it’s so convenient out and about. The only other issue is sharing in public. I’m not against letting my mates have a puff but in public it makes it a little obvious what’s going on.

2023.06.05 03:03 gemlikbase My mom recently had knee surgery, and today at the grocery store, she slipped and fell on a puddle of grease because there was no wet floor sign… how to proceed?? Please please help!!
My heart is racing I feel like I need to act quickly. My mom called me sobbing her eyes out telling me what happened. I’m really panicking because my mom recently had knee surgery done, and when she went grocery shopping at Walmart with my sisters (witnesses?). They had separated, and when walking through the frozen meat section, she slips and falls, which we found out was chicken grease, and obviously this wouldn’t have happened had there been a wet floor sign. We got photos of the spill, & I took pictures of the bruises on my mom’s knees. She was asked if she wanted to be taken to the ER, but she didn’t go because she couldn’t afford the ambulance ride there… just want to know how I can proceed with this… thank you!

2023.06.05 00:54 Delicious_Warthog646 Ive been with my(23m) gf(21f) for 3 years we have known each for over 11 years
Any advice? Im at a loss as where to go from here i dont want to give up and throw away a 3 year investment with this person but i also dont want to waste time with someone that acts childish when things dont go their way
she moved in after probably 2 months of us being together and i feel like nothing i can do is right from going to sleep at night when i have work and her getting mad at me and huffing at me and tossing and turning just to be agressive. For me to go in the smoke shop to get both of us vapes and talking to another girl we have both known just as long and who i work with their boyfriend she acts like any other female i speak to im trying to flirt with or any one that i speak about she acts like im trying to sleep with them and ontop of this she randomly goes through my phone while im asleep just to find some tiktok in my watch history to a facebook freind request that i havent even noticed yet to throw in my face as to why i dont love her. We have argued over and over again and several times coming to the conclussion we should probably be done just for her to break down and say she cant be without me and i give in
But its almost like she throws up that we should end things in an argument just to act more upset when i agree because these arguements arent helping either of us
She doesnt have anywhere to go but to find a place to rent or go to her moms if we seperate and i dont know if the main thing keeping me from ending it is trying not to hurt her and not put her out going somewhere she feels mistreated (whole different story of her home life as to why she doesnt want to stay with her mother even though she could) so where do i go from here?

One day I was out of cigarettes. I thought maybe I'll try one of those 10€ vapes they sell at kiosk. Lasted a day and the battery died in the middle of the day while I was working. Had the luxury of smoking while working because I was working from home. I decided fuck it. No more smoking. I'll go to the shop tonight but I won't be buying anymore smokes and I didn't. And tomorrow I won't either. And that's that.
I had tried in the past but never went past a couple of hours. Now it's been 4 weeks. I don't think I'll ever smoke again. It was like a switch for me. And I feel fucking great. I had smoked for 15 long years. Smoked the moment I woke up and the moment before I went to sleep. I started as a teenage kid and now I'm grown man. Some days maybe 30-40 smokes a day.
Now I can run again. I had missed running. My mouth doesn't taste like shit every morning. I don't have black snot and boogers like I used to anymore. My spit does not resemble some alien life form from Jupiter that sticks to the sink and needs pressured water to go away. Sometimes I can smell it on people after quitting and now I see how many people dislike smokers. You don't realize it when you smoke but you smell bad in an area of 20 meters. Your mouth exhales carcinogenic fumes. Every smoker knows the smell very well but you forget most the time because it's all you breathe. Your hair smell likes it, your clothes, your bed, your pillow. Your nails are yellow and your teeth too. Vaping is also shit. I felt like it messed my lungs up even more than smoking. Had these terrible dry coughing all day long and mouth still tasted like shit in the morning no matter what cherry flavored stuff I smoked.
If a smoker reads this; Just quit. Theres 0 good things about smoking and you do not need it. You need food and water, smoking is not required for you to live a normal life. Most people are non smokers and they can cope with life just fine. You are just as capable as them to live without smoking. It's also not cool. If you think it looks cool, buy cigarette gums. It's a disgusting habbit and deep down you know it. Separate ways with it. Tell yourself smoking is not allowed anymore and that's that. Envision the you of tomorrow not smoking and living a perfectly good life without it, because you really can. Throw the pack, pouch, vape, whatever away and eat a mint. Drink some ice tea. YOU'LL BE FINE I PROMISE.

2023.06.05 00:35 -PM_ME_UR_SECRETS- Instead of buying a new Macbook Pro & PS5, I'm building my first PC to be the best of both worlds.
Long time lurker on this sub and it's finally my time to post my own PC build. Any advice on the build based on the details below is appreciated. Please call me an idiot if there's something that doesn't make sense. Background and PCPartPicker list below. Thank you in advance!
The Build - CPU: Intel Core i7-13700K 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor
- CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
- Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
- Memory: G.Skill Trident Z Royal 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL19 Memory
- Storage (HD): Seagate Barracuda Compute 8 TB 3.5" 5400 RPM Internal Hard Drive
- Storage (SSD): Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
- Video Card: NVIDIA Founders Edition GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB Video Card
- Power Supply: Corsair RM850 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
- Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy Rx 24-bit 192 kHz Sound Card
- Case: NZXT H9 Flow ATX Mid Tower Case
- OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro OEM - DVD 64-bit
- Thermal Paste: Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver 3.5 g Thermal Paste
Background: This is my first PC build. I've started this research/process several times over the last several years, but I have the funds and a good enough justification to finally pull the trigger on this.
- I currently have a 2019 16gb Macbook Pro and PS4 Pro.
- 16gb in my Macbook Pro is no longer cutting it. I can't even update the iOS due to lack of memory, even though I have everything saved on external hard drives.
- I typically upgrade my console once the updated iterations come out (i.e I would get the PS5 'Pro' equivalent).
- Because both of these large purchases are being considered at the same time, I'm willing to spend a little extra on this build as it'll replace both a new MacBook and PS5 'Pro'. This also means I want my PC to be capable of both gaming and 'computer stuff' (see Uses below).
Budget: I built this to a $2.5k-$3k budget.
Uses: I'll be using this for a little bit of everything
- Gaming:
- Mostly larger single-player games and some casual online multiplayer. I'd prefer more of a Cyberpunk on high settings experience vs trying to do any mlg counter strike, while still having consistent frame rate.
- I have a PS4 Pro and Nintendo Switch that I would like to also hook up.
- My current monitor is this Philips 3840x2160 but I'm planning on getting a true 4k monitor later this year.
- Downloading/moving larger files:
- I'm a bit of a casual data hoarder so I have a sort of collection of misc files: video/photos/music/random other files/etc I've saved over the years.
- I also have a collection of VHS tapes I'm wanting to convert to digital files.
- 4K Streaming (music & video)
- Casual use of random software:
- I get sporadic waves of creative interests that I'd like to be able to indulge whenever they come up.
- PhotoShop is the one I use most. I've dabbled casually with things like Blender & Ableton, too. Never anything super intensive, but I'd like to have the ability to use them casually.
- WFH:
- Doesn't really affect the build, but I'll mention it anyway. I work from home and use a separate work laptop (Macbook Pro). I would prefer a monitor that is capable of switching between 4K gaming & streaming with my PC, and work stuff with the Macbook.

2023.06.04 18:35 Lumpy-Function8615 25 years old, struggling to quit
Trying to get away from THC. It’s been over 4 years of vaping pretty much 24/7, to point where I easily go through a gram cart in less than a day. One year had medical card and was smoking very large amounts of flower in addition to that, also dabs, edibles, eventually making my own - always very potent. Point I’m trying to make is I have a HIGH tolerance. I could stop everything else easily but I cannot get away from the damn vape. I swear the nausea, shakiness, appetite issues, mood, insomnia, etc, is horrible when I’ve tried. & The cravings just would not go away it’s all I would think about when I didn’t have it. The anxiety I get when I run low or anything is crazy. I don’t even know what it is I crave because the carts have little effect on me especially now that I switched to delta8 from gas stations or vape shops cause it’s so much cheaper than med dispensary’s in PA. On another note, for 4 years I was also consistently smoking electronic cigs, elf bars, etc.. BUT was able to quit nicotine relatively easily about two months ago.
I think part of what I like or could I guess be addicted to with thc vape is the sharp feeling in throat when you inhale it then usually having to cough afterward. I have always taken long hits deep inhales, held it in, etc. of course causing a lot of coughing/crying spells. When I smoked e-cig I used the njoy and I loved the very sharp feeling it had when it hit back of throat but still it was much easier to stop.
Wanting to quit because mental health is finally getting better, I am stable on medication (have depression, severe anxiety, and was misdiagnosed as bipolar for years - recently diagnosed with autism/adhd) but when I stop the thc it sets me back mentally.. I’m also Tired of having to stress about piss since I let my medical card expire. The cost although I honestly buy the cheapest shit still racks up because of how much I use.
I have been trying to make healthier choices, the vaping has definitely caught up to me my blood pressures been through the roof out of the blue never had issues before. I know it’s mind over matter but idk I’m really struggling to break this.

2023.06.04 17:00 Lemon_McGee Debilitating Exhaustion Has Followed Me My Whole Life, Advice Desperately Requested
Hi there, M26, 5’7, 76kg. I’ve been suffering with exhaustion both physical & mental for years now. It was first noticeable when I was 15 & has gotten more and more extreme as I’ve gotten older.
I find myself tired enough to nap after walking, with aches in my shins & knees, I can feel my pulse hammering (but not quickening) & my chest tightening. I am never refreshed after a night’s sleep & when I have no plans in a day I could easily sleep 13-14 hours & still crave a nap. I am near-constantly sick, mostly with headaches, sinus pressure behind the eyes & in the ears, sore throat, upset stom ach & nausea.
I work a low-stress admin job & even find that exhausting - like a heavy, overwhelming tiredness that slows my thinking & ruins my motivation. Often I have woken up at work by my head hitting the keyboard as I’ve fallen asleep.
I’ve been to several GPs in Ireland and the UK & had a full run of tests done several times - bloods, physical exam & ECG have never shown anything unusual. I don’t drive, so I walk an hour every day at a minimum. My diet isn’t healthy due to picky eating left over from childhood, but I eat enough and try to have as balanced a diet as I can under the circumstances. I’ve taken quetiapine (25mg) & sertraline (100mg) for 5 years now. I drink at least a can of coke zero every day, & I use vapes after quitting smoking 4 years ago & probably use up a disposable one every 3 days. I used drugs heavily in my early 20’s but have not since I started my medications.
The tiredness & illness have impacted my mental health massively - I do not feel like I can maintain a social life or make any progress in a career due to tiredness. I maintain my hygiene & chores just barely, but it always feels like an enormous task. I feel severely depressed about how much I might be missing out on as a result of my illness. Going to doctors repeatedly just to be told there is nothing wrong with me again & again feels like I may just have to accept that this is how difficult life is going to be, & that I’m hitting my head against a wall.
If anyone can give me insight or advice, I’d be extremely, extremely grateful.

2023.06.04 16:16 loupetmoi 40[F4M] StLMidWest // Besties With Benefits?
Hopeful but not holding my breath, haha. I can’t help but feel like this is so contrived, but here we are. First, please only reply if you read my post in it’s entirety & it applies to you. It’s wordy on purpose.
I’m seeking the ever elusive, deep & meaningful, mind blowing, long term friendship with the eager possibility of an organic -maybe- more. ENM here / happily married for 9 years to my straight / monogamous / 52m who’s big on compersion. We have a solid relationship, he’s just a very busy business owner & we would both like it if I could find another man to be extraordinarily close to. ;) Some variation of a kitchen table closed V would be be ideal.
I’m a petite + thickcurvy {bbw?}, heavily tattooed, brunette, gothy+bohemian, mountain mama. Raised & lived most of my life in very rural Montana, relocated to StL 7 years ago. I looove hiking, camping, exploring the wild outdoors, primitive outdoor survival, gardening, cooking, travel, I’m into the artsy fartsy {creating & consuming}, music & dancing, reading, theatre & films, photography, sci-fi & spooky stuffs, holistic mindbody therapy, psychology, & ohhh so much more. INFJ Capricorn love canines.
I don't drink outside of occasional social situations (it’s been a while). I also don’t smoke cigarettes BUT, I am verrry 420 friendly. It's fine if you do drink / smoke, though if you need to drink to have a good time we won't get along.
YOU are kind & respectful, down to earth, emotionally & physically available, intelligent & compassionate & have a positive mental attitude despite this wild & weird world. I can’t help but love funny guys that truly value empathy & respect. Divorced or single males only please; I don't bring the drama & I don't need it. ((I’m not interested in couples, whatever the dating dynamics may be. I’m straight. I don’t want to be your affair or secret. I don’t wanna just be a prop in your sexual exploits. I’m not looking to swap partners. Don’t bother if you’re still in love with your ex. —> I wanna feel special & valued & chosen.)) 35-55, prefer north of 40 with a healthy libido. Love an active dad bod best but your abs won’t intimidate me & my stamina will impress you, haha. Got kids? Great, me too - & I’m a former teacher! You’ve got your proverbial shit mostly together, a hell of a sense of humor & some similar interests; looking for friendly, flirty, fun chatting / texting with an emphasis on clear, honest, open & frequent communication. The day to day & naturally the deep. Let’s get to know each other & have lots of FUN doing so!
Gotta be cool with photo swapping, as I appreciate seeing who I’m talkin’ to & mutual physical attraction, while not at all a deal breaker on my end, is also important. I’ll admit I’m weak for some blue or green eyes. Happy to work up to phone & video calls if I’m diggin’ your vibe.
Local or geographically reasonable, makes no difference to me, so long as you are able & willing to invest the time. The means & intentions of meeting in person eventually is a huge plus. I’d love to have you as my hiking / camping / adventure companion! {I’m happy to travel for visits, you should be too! I mean, I wanna go out with you & I wanna get my hands on you, literally.}
I give of my time, energy & affection, & hope to find someone similar. If you're too busy, I'm not interested. If I have to do all the labor to maintain the conversation & relationship, no thanks. If you’re wanting casual NSA sex only, you can stop reading now. If you lean towards the right politically, we probably won’t make good friends. I've been through some shit in my time; I know I deserve what I want but I’m cautious & have strict boundaries, so please spare me your shot if you know you’re not what I’m looking for.
If you’re into the slow burn of deep emotional connection, enjoy receiving daily well wishes, need an available & understanding shoulder & ear, want someone you can actually have a two-way, open & intellectual conversation with, a friend who genuinely cares & truly wants to get to know & honor the authentic you, & crave someone who is equal parts silly, .:sexy:. & serious that enjoys a balanced roast-romance ratio… then hit me up & let’s see where the conversation takes us. If we click I promise you won’t be disappointed. I’ve got a lot of loveaffectiontime to give to the right guy; however please understand, I’m so not interested in single serve interactions or seldom passing ships in the night. Reliability, genuine effort, longevity are all such a turn on; match mine or leave me be. ;)
Message me with a pic & tell me a little bit about yourself & what sort of audio pleasures you’re listening to today. Can’t wait to hear from you! xx
