2023.06.07 15:01 treespouse Drug test in 9 days

I have a pee test in 9 days for a life insurance app. I track my weed usage in a mood app so I know all this info is accurate. I will def report back with my results after the test!
27f, 5’9” 200lb I last took a few hits on a vape 10 days go Before that I was smoking mostly flower about 3x/wk for like 3 weeks Before that I was an almost daily user, mostly flower but occasionally vape pens I work out 1-2 days per week and am starting taking green tea pills today to help raise my metabolism Should I be able to pass with 19 days clean?
Now here’s my dumb question, my wife and sister in law want to get high and hang out on Friday lol. sister in law’s partner (med student) says with my usage I should be fine to get high again just that once, it would be 6 days before the test. They recommend hydrating and a lot of pectin to help clear it.
Would I be a complete idiot to take them up on this or am I already going to fail and might as well?

2023.06.07 15:00 TracingBullets We’re not anti-Semitic, we’re anti-Zionist

We’re not transphobic, we’re anti-gender affirming health care
We’re not homophobic, we’re in favor of traditional marriage
We’re not racist, we’re in favor of voter ID laws and against affirmative action
We’re not Islamophobic and racist against Mexicans, we’re anti-immigration
We’re not misogynistic, we just oppose abortion and contraception
We’re not anti-Ukrainian, we just don't oppose Russia’s police action there.
We’re not anti-Semitic, we’re anti-Zionist
Opposing policies that help minority groups is anti-those groups. Even if the policies allegedly do bad things and have negative consequences for other groups. Even if not every single member of the minority group supports the policies. Opposing Jewish rights, including the Jewish right of self-determination and statehood, is no different than opposing trans rights, gay rights, and women’s rights. Roe Vs. Wade is a legal framework that protects women's rights to control their reproduction so being opposed to that legal ruling is the same thing as opposing women's rights. And the people opposing Jewish rights are just as anti-Jewish as the people opposing women’s rights are anti-women and the people opposing trans rights are anti-trans. There’s no way around this basic truth. The left seems to understand this basic truth everywhere except when it comes to Jewish rights. Maybe now we can all see the equivalency.

NUMBER 10: Plaza del Zócalo Officially called Plaza de la Constitución and nicknamed Zócalo, Mexico City’s main square has been a meeting place for Mexicans since the Aztec times. People gather there for ceremonies, royal proclamations, military parades, and even national protests. The site was the main ceremonial center in the pre-Columbian Mexico City called Tenochtitlan. This large and well-developed city-state was built on the island of Lake Texcoco together with another city - Tlatelolco. According to Aztec mythology, it was considered the center of the universe. The nickname Zócalo means "pedestal" or "plinth." A monument to the Mexican independence was planned to be built here but only the base to support the statue called Zócalo was built. The plinth is no longer there, but the name has lived on. You won’t, however, be able to miss a giant Mexican flag placed in the center of the square. Zócalo is home to several important buildings, including the National Palace, the seat of the Mexican government, and the largest Cathedral in Latin America – Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral, built in segments from 1573 to 1813 around the original church built atop the former Aztec Templo Mayor. While you're in the area, watch Aztec dancers next to the Cathedral that uses inspiration from ancient rituals and traditional dance just outside the cathedral.
NUMBER 9: Templo Mayor Located right next to Zócalo, Templo Mayor or Greater Temple is a vast complex of ruins of religious and civic buildings from the Aztec times. Templo Mayor was the main Temple of the rulers of the Aztec Empire – the Mexica people in their capital city of Tenochtitlan, or what is today known as Mexico City. According to Aztec mythology, the Aztec God of Sun and War Huitzilopochtli ordered his people to establish a new capital in a place where an eagle sits on a cactus, devouring a snake. The seal of the Mexican government represents this legend from Aztec mythology. That legendary location turned out to be a place covered by wetlands. The Temple was built on an island in the 14th century and was destroyed after the Spanish Conquests in the 16th century. The ruins of the temple's exact location was later forgotten, and the excavations was carried out at the end of the 19th century and some parts even in the late 20th century. Visit Templo Mayor Museum, a part of UNESCO World Heritage that showcases archaeological finds and exhibits related to the Aztec civilization. Or if you don’t have time, see the temple from the street above. Don’t skip a disturbing Skull Rack displaying hundreds of stone skulls representing the sacrificial victims to honor the gods and the power of the empire.
NUMBER 8: Xochimilco Xochimilco was the most important city of the Xochimilca people, who first settled in around 900 BC up until it was conquered by the Mexica of Tenochtitlan in the 15th century. Xochimilco is best known for a vast system of around 170 kilometers or 110 mi. of canals, famous for its colorful gondola-like boats called trajineras. Canals of Xochimilco are one of the last traces of a vast water transport system built by the Aztecs. These canals were a part of a massive lake and canal system that connected most of the settlements in the Valley of Mexico. Both canals and the chinampa system of Xochimilco are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The name Xochimilco means "flower field” and describes flowers and other crops grown here. The vegetables, fruits, and flowers were shipped to Tenochtitlan via the canal.
NUMBER 7: Street Food Mexico City's culinary scene offers a wide variety of food options, from affordable street food or antojitos (street snacks or appetizers) to gourmet international and local restaurants. Experience Mexican life through a variety of street food. Try some of the following options: tacos, quesadillas, tamales, chicharrón, machetes, delicious churros, or elotes - a, Mexican street corn topped with mayonnaise, chili powder and others. And if you are up to a challenge, even chapulines or grasshoppers. Don’t skip several important food and artisan markets spread throughout Mexico City, like Mercado de Coyoacán, etc.
NUMBER 6: Torre Latinoamericana Torre Latinoamericana or Latin American Tower, completed in 1956, is a skyscraper in the historic city center of Mexico City. This 166 m or 545 ft high building is one of the city's important architectural attractions was the tallest structure in Mexico until it was surpassed by Torre Ejecutiva Pemex. It is the world's first major skyscraper successfully built on a highly active seismic zone. Torre Latinoamericana survived the 8.1 magnitude earthquake in Mexico City in 1985. Other buildings in downtown were severely damaged. The tower's observation area Mirador Torre Latino offers some of the best panoramic views of Mexico City. Don’t forget to explore Madero Street right below Torre Latinoamericana, a popular and crowded pedestrian area featuring bars, shops, and other attractions. Check our Mexico City 4K walking tour with closed captions to get the full experience. The link is in the description https://amzn.to/3WVsSvh
NUMBER 5: Coyoacán Coyoacán is a bohemian neighborhood located south of the city center. Covered with cobblestone streets and known for its colonial architecture, the name actually derives from the Aztec language, meaning "place of coyotes." The area was used as a headquarters during the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire. Coyoacán was the first capital of New Spain. The areas offers many activities and attractions, such as: La Casa Azul, a historic house and an art museum where Mexican artist Frida Kahlo was born and later lived with her husband, Diego Rivera. Mercado de Coyoacán: a traditional market famous for its colors and folklore, selling everything from clothing, plants to various food options and more. Plaza Hidalgo and Jardín Centenario full of colonial landmarks, bars, restaurants, Fuente de los Coyotes, Parroquia San Juan Bautista, beautiful Tranvía Coyoacán and other attractions. Or Plaza de la Conchita with the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception Church, the oldest church in Mexico. There are many other exciting neighborhoods and streets worth exploring, like Barrio China, Zona Rosa, etc. Check our travel guide for more suggestions. NUMBER 4: Bosque de Chapultepec The Chapultepec Forest is one of the oldest urban parks in the world and one of the largest city parks in the Western Hemisphere. Chapultepec functions as the lungs providing oxygen to the Mexico Valley. In the pre-Columbian era, the forest was also a popular retreat for Aztec rulers. The most popular section of Chapultepec is home to popular attractions and activities, including the Museum of Anthropology, botanic garden, a zoo, and an artificial lake. Here, you can rent a boat and enjoy the escape from the busy city streets. There are two other lakes in the second section of the park. Don't skip Chapultepec Castle or The National Museum of History, built in the colonial period. The castle official residence of Mexican heads of state until 1940. It is located at the top of Chapultepec Hill, with amazing views towards Paseo de la Reforma and the rest of the city. Chapultepec served as an important water management system in the pre-Columbian era, featuring an Aztec-built ancient aqueduct. Did you know that the name Chapultepec derives from the Aztec language and translates as Hill of the Grasshopper. Check our travel guide for more beautiful parks suggestions, like an impressive Alameda Central right next to the Palace of the Fine Arts.
NUMBER 3: Museum of Anthropology National Museum of Anthropology is the most visited museum in Mexico, offering the world's most extensive collection of ancient Mexican art, important archaeological and anthropological objects from Mexico's pre-Columbian heritage, like the Stone of the Sun (or the Aztec calendar stone) created in the 16th century. You can walk around the 23 permanent exhibit halls representing the colors and materials related to Teotihuacan, Olmeca, and Maya cultures. Don’t skip the stunning outdoor part of the museum. The building was designed by the architect Pedro Ramirez Vazquez, who also designed other important buildings in Mexico City, like Basilica de Guadalupe or Estadio Azteca. There are many other fascinating museums in Mexico City. Don't skip Voladores De Papantla or Flying Men – an ancient Mesoamerican ritual to ask God to end a severe drought in Tamayo Park close to the museum. This video is sponsored by Beeyond, helping you save space when you travel and organize your suitcase. NUMBER 2: Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe is a Roman Catholic church, basilica, and National shrine of Mexico and one of the most important pilgrimage sites of Catholicism. The present church was constructed on an earlier 16th-century church finished in 1709 due to its dangerous sinking foundation, the Old Basilica. The new basilica houses the cloak containing the images of Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of the most important symbols of Mexican faith, based on a series of Marian apparitions in 1531. The basilica is visited by millions of people every year, making it the most visited Catholic shrine in the world. Don't skip the impressive and stunningly landscaped Sagrado Recinto del Tepeyac Garden and explore other impressive sites.
NUMBER 1: Teotihuacán Located about an hour drive from Mexico City, Teotihuacan is a must-see. This ancient Mesoamerican city was probably established around 100 BC, long before the arrival of the Aztecs and its origins are still unknown. Teotihuacan began as a religious center in the Mexican Highlands around the first century AD. It was supposed to be the largest city in the pre-Columbian Americas, with an estimated population of at least 125,000. In the 8th century AD, the city was abandoned, probably because of the extreme weather events in the centuries before. Walk along the Avenue of the Dead and admire the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon, apartment compounds, and vibrant murals. Secret tunnels were discovered under the pyramids of the Moon and Temple of the Feathered Serpent. Teotihuacan was a prosperous kingdom and traded with obsidian, used for tools, weapons, and other. Close to the pyramids, you can even experience how people turn volcanic stone into a piece of art, observe the sun, how to use the entire cactus and turn it into a sewing kit, or how they ingeniously colored the sewing thread and used interior parts of the cactus as paper. And here is the bonus that we promised: Don’t leave Mexico without experiencing Mariachi, a genre of regional Mexican music and a symbol of Mexican national identity. Mariachi music as we know it today originated in Jalisco in the 19th century. You can listen to mariachi in various places around Mexico City, like Plaza Garibaldi. Whether you want to follow the footsteps of the Aztecs, experience centuries-old traditions during Día de los Muertos, admire the place where Frida Kahlo lived, immerse yourself in delicious street food, or discover artisan and other markets, there is plenty to do in Mexico City.

2023.06.07 15:00 heitorrsa PMS is not a pass to be a bad person

I'm happily married, but I feel like my relationship erodes a tiny bit every month. My wife is a lovely funny woman, but she turns into this depressive, angry, irrational monster every menstruation cycle. Specially now that she removed some myomas, with caused her to be permanently on PMS for the past six months or so.
My friends complain about the same thing, and with my mother and sister it was the same. Ladies, if you have any suggestion on what I should do, because for now my only strategy is avoiding interactions with her whenever it's possible, because the outcome is almost always she being unpleasant towards me, and me recoiling to a corner and resenting her.

Whether you're a business owner looking for promotional items or an individual seeking a personalized gift, mug printing services can cater to your needs. Coffee mug printing involves the process of adding customized designs, logos, or text onto mugs using various printing techniques. These techniques include screen printing, sublimation printing, direct-to-garment printing, and heat transfer printing. Each method offers unique advantages and is suitable for different quantities, budgets, and design complexities.
Ordering mugs in bulk significantly reduces the cost per unit, making it an affordable option for businesses and organizations. b. Branding Opportunities: Customized coffee mugs provide an excellent opportunity to promote your brand. Adding your logo or slogan to mugs can increase brand visibility and recognition. c. Personalized Gifts: Bulk mug printing allows individuals to create thoughtful and personalized gifts for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, or weddings. d. Team Building: Companies can foster a sense of unity and team spirit by providing their employees with personalized coffee mugs, reinforcing a sense of belonging.
When opting for bulk coffee mug printing, it's essential to choose a reputable and experienced printing service. Here are some key factors to consider when selecting a mug printing service: a. Printing Techniques: Ensure that the service offers a variety of printing techniques suitable for your specific requirements. b. Quality: Look for a service that uses high-quality mugs and printing materials to ensure durability and a professional finish. c. Customization Options: Check if the service provides options for adding custom designs, logos, and text, allowing you to create unique and personalized mugs. d. Turnaround Time: Consider the service's production time and delivery speed, especially if you have a tight deadline. e. Pricing: Compare the pricing structures of different services to find the most cost-effective option without compromising on quality.
Determine the ideal size and placement of your design on the coffee mug. Consider factors such as visibility, aesthetics, and the intended audience. b. Colors and Graphics: Choose colors and graphics that align with your brand or the recipient's preferences. Ensure that the design stands out and is visually appealing. c. Font Selection: Select appropriate fonts for any text elements, ensuring readability and compatibility with the overall design. d. Print Mockups: Many mug printing services provide mockup templates that allow you to visualize your design on a mug before placing an order. Utilize these tools to refine your design.
Determine the number of mugs you need and confirm the pricing based on the chosen quantity. b. Artwork Submission: Prepare your artwork according to the service's guidelines and submit it in the required format. c. Proofing: Some services offer a proofing process where you can review a digital or physical sample of the mug before finalizing the order. Take advantage of this to ensure accuracy and satisfaction. d. Production and Delivery: Once the order is confirmed, the printing service will proceed with production. Consider the estimated production time and shipping options for timely delivery.
To prolong the lifespan of your printed coffee mugs, it's important to follow proper care and maintenance instructions. Handwashing with mild detergent is generally recommended to preserve the print quality. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that may damage the printed design.

Conclusion:

2023.06.07 14:59 OutOfFrequencyy Insight on “Seasonal”

So I live in NYC and luckily we have a ton of Targets here. I applied to almost every one in Manhattan for the General Merchandising position. Out of the 14 applicants I did, only one of them was for seasonal work. I wasn’t particularly looking for seasonal but I applied for just one just as a fallback. Low and behold, the seasonal one was the first to get back to me. Not only that, busy after applying for that position, I actually got a call from HR informing me that they would send me the video interview (none of the other locations did that) and I appreciated that.
I guess my question is: why are they hiring for seasonal at this time? Maybe I’m just ignorant, but at my last two retail jobs, we really only hired for seasonal during the holidays and occasionally during back to school. Is there anything special happening in the summer where Target is hiring for seasonal?
Also, based on your experience as an associate, do you know them to end up hiring seasonal people as regular workers? Even if there’s no room in the store I work at, is there a possibility that they can transfer me to a store that has a vacancy? Luckily there are tons of Targets in NYC.

2023.06.07 14:59 ASubwayFootlong was there ever an official reason that valve will pretty much never make another l4d?

i know a couple of speculated reasons i've seen around, but never anything official:
  1. fanbase hyping it up to unreachable standards, so if they released another while there was a cry for it, it would never be good enough
  2. making a game is a lot riskier than selling other companies' games, and results are immediate if you just sell other games (steam) rather than make your own.
  3. no more games because they have to come up with a good, original main selling point (portal gun, physics, funny haha hat collector, major co-op and special enemies)
reasons that i came up with:
  1. creating a new set of maps, survivors, and infected would be incredibly hard. l4d1 and l4d2 hit the nail right on the head because the maps have a story behind them, and they eventually cross paths. when l4d2 introduced the new infected, they all had a pretty obvious background and they all had a way to work together, adding to the co-op aspect of the game (spitter clearly a hooker, jockey probably was what gaben could've ended up like, charger is prolly either a hillbilly or jackoff(hahafunnyonebigarm)). all the characters have had original and recognizable traits and voicelines, and it would be hard to come up with all of these things and still make it with the same quality as l4d1 and 2.
  2. they already make tons of money through steam and unholy amounts of csgo and tf2 and dota microtransactions
  3. maybe missing lots of the staff that worked on the popular games, making the company unmotivated to make more?
  4. they showed turtle rock what the fuck was up already when they got clowned on with back4blood

2023.06.07 14:59 compGeniusSuperSpy God is dead.

fuck this bullshit fairytale we delude ourselves with regarding some sky-dwelling piece of shit who has shown up for me precisely zero times as well and for those who need significant help.
Why did god allow the holocaust to happen? why does god allow russia to subject ukraine to genocide under the guise of piety? where is god when people die alone, scared and obliterated by the realization in their last moments no one is coming to see them off to “heaven”, or more precisely, to see them off to the incinerator or drop them into a fucking dirty and cold pit.
what kind of god allows the chinese to subject uyghurs to concentration camps and allows the subjugation and systemic elimination of native peoples from the whilst engaging in abuse so horrific that it manifests into physical maladies like cancer that will result in death?
my parents and sister abused me, and my parents murdered no less than 9 family pets without a second batting an eye.
my dad tried to kill me in his car, chasing some other asshole at 110mph on the freeway while i screamed and banged my fists trying to get out. the man my dad was chasing pointed and laughed at me (i was 9) until his depravity finally dawned on him and he took the highroad whilst my dad exclusively flirted with taking the low road.
tonight i’ve bit myself, cut myself, broke all the toiletry bottles in the bathroom, attacked the pile of garbage bags in the trash room, accidentally scared the shit out of my beloved cats, and did my share of tbi-inducing head banging.
my deplorable dumb bitch of a sister intentionally fucked my rapist AFTER I TOLD HER HE RAPED ME.
I feel my true self slipping away, being replaced by apprehension, reticence, outrage, and heartbreak.
take care of your loved ones.

About Us
Veteran Owned. Family Grown. Agora Farms. Minnesota's premier destination for cannabis, concerts and camping located on 26 acres in beautiful Palisade, MN. Honestly, where we will be in 4 to 5 years could vary greatly. We might be limping in as a startup, but the possibility exists where we come out of the gates with massive legitimacy (aka capital). It will be interesting to see what comes to fruition and what gets scrapped. I started our think tank back in December once election polls were tallied and the DFL picked up a majority. Between the 4 of us we have a combined 80 years of personal, professional, and entrepreneurial experience in the cannabis industry.
Our property is secured and owned by a partner willing to partition off sections. Meaning, we can set up a "holding" LLC that houses both our cannabis microbusiness AND we can have a workaround cannabis adjacent portfolio (frisbee golf, small venue, "gifting" CannaCampground, etc). In theory, the latter should be far enough removed from our cannabis operations so that financing options (VA business loan) now become available. Up to 350k to put towards venue, cabins, etc..
Which we will need because all of our capital will be going toward getting our 5k indoor canopy up and operational, followed by our http://Sitkagold.com inspired product line. Our target for the all-weather greenhouse setup and nonvolatile hash operations is estimated at just under 400k. Between 4 of us we have licensing priority, social equity status, and as of now, just under 100k pledged from my friends and family.
Social Equity will bring us up another 50k to 150k via grants. We are hoping to pick up the remainder from my extended family who have shown a pattern in investing large sums in our family businesses (assisted living property management). Not sure how cannabis will fly with them. My Aunts and Uncles just recently reprogrammed from their DARE update in grade school. The end result could be an additional $10k or it could be $500k+ if they get their investment team involved.

Here is our 5 year gameplan in its most basic format for the two ventures + 501c4:
Agora Farms, LLC; will house all our cannabis business ventures

Mentor, Partner, or both?
Have you ever read the children's book, "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie?" Be warned;
If you mentor me professionally, I will ask you to mentor me politically.
If you mentor me politically, I will ask you to advise our team.
If you advise our team, you will want to join our team.
If you join our team, we will make waves in this industry.
I need a cannabis legislative expert to advise with the formation & structure of our fully endorsed microbusiness and cannabis adjacent portfolio. I have no insight on your current cannabis plans so I'm just going to start off by asking if you'd consider mentoring me professionally & politically?
Professionally, I am going to spend the next 7 years putting together an impressive cannabis portfolio from scratch. Agora Farms, LLC will house all our cannabis ventures. Agora Farms Campground & Events, LLC will hold our cannabis adjacent portfolio.
Politically, I am going to spend the next 2 years butting heads with both anti cannabis lobbyists and incompetent state legislators on both sides of the aisle. However, my main focus will be on removing all the absurd red tape weighing down small business owners in MN's cannabis industry via any means necessary (within the confines of the law). The following 2 years I would like to spend shadowing you as an advocate and lobbyist for the industry. I'll spend 2 years strategizing for a 2 year state senate run leading up to a 2 year campaign for the 2030/2032 election. I'm dead serious. Watching cannabis committee discussions slapped me awake politically.

2023.06.07 14:58 JamesKPolk-on Mortgage provider switched. Question about payments.

My mortgage provider informed me that they were giving my loan to another company in May. U.S. law grants a sixty-day grace period to make my payment. Does that mean that I do not need to pay my mortgage in June and payments will resume in July, or will I need to make two payments in July? Thanks for your help.

2023.06.07 14:58 The_ChadTC subsidies bad

TL,DR: All buildings that can be profitable, are able to pull a profit without subsidies. Buildings which cannot be profitable without subsidies are useless. Except railways, fuck railways.
One of the biggest and most prevalent mistakes in the Victoria playerbase is how people think that when they subsidize their factory they are "helping their economy". I'll give that many of the thought processes that these players apply does make sense in theory, but because of some oversight by the mechanics of the game, it won't work as it would in the real world.
There are two key reasons to understand why subsidizing buildings is counterproductive:
1) Economies expand by creating wealth. Factories take cheaper goods and turn them into more expensive products, the profit of which is capital invested into the economy, which, be it by being acquisitive power of by being directly invested in the market, will expand it. When there is no subsidies, workers will spread out amongst the buildings in order to maximize this.
If you're subsidizing a building in a state with fewer workers than jobs, you will actively draw workforce from more profitable roles into unprofitable ones. If you're subsidizing a building in a state with more jobs than workers, it won't negatively affect the other ones, but it's still wasted workforce and construction power.
2) All buildings that can be profitable, are able to pull a profit without subsidies. Buildings which cannot be profitable without subsidies are useless.
That's because if a good is useful to you or your country, getting the factory that produces it to pull a profit is just a matter of making sure it has access to it's raw materials. Any building that has access to it's raw materials, manpower and is connected to your market, but still is not pulling a profit is producing something that no one needs and is therefore useless.

There are three situations where subsidizing a building is worth it:
1) When a building is in a vicious cycle where it not producing affects it's own ability to produce. In the early game, you'll find that iron mines, logging camps and tooling factories may be in this dillema: the tooling factories can't produce because wood and iron is expensive and iron mines and logging camps can't produce because tools are expensive.
2) Railways because railways don't work how they should, but even then you should watch out for WHICH states need their railroads subsidized. A railway's ability to be profitable is completely separate from a state's infrastructure needs, which means that often railroads are unprofitable in states with not enough infrastructure. Even then, the right thing to do, however micro intensive it is, is to check which states need subsidies and which don't, since the overwhelming majority of them won't need subsidies to meet infrastructure requirements. Subsidizing all railways is viable, but suboptimal.
3) Getting buildings that are not profitable yet up to speed, but will be soon because you intend to change a certain production method. Works, but my experience is that it is rather unnecessary.
In any other situation, subsidizing a building is actually counter productive to your economy and is, at best, a micro intensive welfare program.

Now I have to ask you: why do you want to subsidize a building?
"I want my pops to buy their needs at a reduced price"
Fair enough, that is indeed something that would be benefitial for your market. However, there is a better way to do it.
For this purpose let's imagine that the product which you want to lower prices for is clothing. Instead of subsidizing the clothing factory, build up your production of cotton. Farms and plantations, as opposed to factories, have to pay for less materials and can work a surplus at a much smaller deficit than factories. If your raw materials are cheap, factories will be able to buy them for cheaper and will therefore be able to produce surplus at a profit without you needing to subsidize them.

"The state needs to safeguard the production of certain goods, mainly construction and military ones."
I can only imagine that someone would think this because they got in a hard war, had to call in the conscripts, and suddenly guns and cannons were at +75%.
This is, of course, unsustainable, but the solution is not subsidizing the arms factories, but to prepare your industry for a surge in the demand of military goods: build as many factories as you need for your conscripts, but don't subsidize them. When the conscripts are disbanded, the demand for small arms and cannons will fall and the arms industries will fire their employees in order to even out their balance and the production will fall to just what you need in peace time. The same works for any other good used by the conscription centers.
As for construction materials, they should be profitable just by supplying your construction sectors, without the need for subsidies. Attempting to subsidize the factories in order to pay less for the construction goods should instead be done through the means I explained in the previous case.

Conclusion:
There you go. That's all the reasons that make subsidies suboptimal in Victoria 3. Subsidies are a symptomatic remedy for situations that always have definitive solutions, and for me at least, the most enjoyable part of Victoria 3 is getting to identify and apply those solutions. If someone has some more in depth and systemic uses for subsidies, I will be glad to hear them, but I cannot imagine them being anything other than a welfare program with extra steps.

I honestly think Law has the strongest Sulong in his crew .. Bepo is a polar bear and polar bears are super aggressive, strong & smart, I feel like that’s why we haven’t seen him turn at all during the anime/manga but SPOILERS … he does turn in chapter 1081 and I’m honestly so excited to see how they animate it

2023.06.07 14:58 RosaFlower Help Me Accessorize My Bathroom

I just gave my bathroom walls and vanity a fresh coat of paint. There is a white cabinet for over the toilet cabinet that still needs to go back up. I have a new faucet in brushed nickle on order. Now.... I can't decide what I want to do to finish it. Specifically a new light and mirror. I've also got a big blank wall to fill. But suggestions on bath mat, shower curtain, vanity accessories are all appreciated. I'm very into transitional, mid-century modern, and craftsman styles.

2023.06.07 14:58 hfjdjdjjajwn I (26f) seeing a coworker (24m) and another coworker potentially found out

I’ve (26f) have been seeing a coworker (24m) for the last couple months and tonight I called him after his shift (I wasn’t on today) but I didn’t know he had another coworker (20m) in the car he was giving a lift home. High probability that the coworker saw my name on the car screen when I called before he hung up
I work in a professional industry where coworkers aren’t supposed to date. We’ve only been seeing each other for a short time so nowhere near being official yet, and having the workplace find out could impact our careers.
How do I/we handle this? Assuming the coworker saw. Do we just deny it? Come up with a reason I called him? We’ve been very good at hiding it so far, but gossip has a way of getting around.
TLDR: secretly seeing a coworker, good chance someone else found out

2023.06.07 14:58 Grand-Common7588 Husband lied for four years…really struggling

About two months ago, I (34f) forced my husband (42m) to sit down with me to go over our finances because I noticed inconsistencies and needed an explanation for them. He has been the primary money manager for the entirety of our 12 year marriage, and has had problematic behavior and attitudes surrounding money (analyzing every penny I spent out of our joint account while acquiring very expensive items for his hobbies with wanton abandon). What he disclosed to me was $60,000 in debt that he had accrued via credit cards and personal loans that I was not consulted about or made aware of. This had been accrued in the last four years, because he would not have been able to get our home loan had he been carrying this debt load. I have about $5,000 in personal credit card debt that I have been transparent about. Something in my gut was telling me to just pull his credit report because I had a feeling that he wasn't being forthcoming. I pulled his credit report and the number is actually $110,000. He was hemorrhaging around $3500 a month in payments to credit cards and high-interest personal loans. He canceled his $1M life insurance policy without telling me as well.
I was horrified and consulted an attorney. This actually put my mind more at ease, because I would not be financially destroyed were I to pursue a divorce. I would most likely be better off than I am now. This made me feel like I had some power and autonomy, where I felt like I wasn't staying in my marriage out of necessity but more out of choice. I sat him down and showed him his credit report, and said that in order for me to stay in this marriage, there were some non-negotiable things that needed to happen. First, he needed to go to therapy and address the issues that caused him to lie to me for four years. Secondly, I was to have complete control over every penny that came in and left our house. And third, he was going to file chapter 13 bankruptcy by himself and keep me out of it. Surprisingly, he agreed to all of this. He also saw his doctor and switched antidepressant medication. There have been bumps in the road. I have caught him trying to hide money from me twice, and he is resistant to therapy. But he is in the process of filing bankruptcy. I made him give me the last year of pay stubs, and credit card and bank statements. He wasn't doing anything sinister with the money, he basically just over-extended himself to an extreme degree and got into a vicious spiral of high-interest loans. As a side note, I think I would make a decent forensic accountant and perhaps I'm not as financially illiterate as I was led to believe.
But I am tired. He has been dealing with financial stress for years...this is all new to me. He pissed away his entire retirement and all of our savings. We are paycheck-to-paycheck and things are very precarious. The mental load is crippling and I am struggling under the weight of it. I have extreme anxiety centered around scarcity and financial issues and just the process of having to budget our groceries and delay medical care for our kids (they both need new glasses which are expensive even with insurance) is killing me. And then I go in a vicious circle because what a stupid thing to experience extreme emotional anguish over. People are struggling everywhere, hell I used to eat oatmeal every day for weeks at a time because I was so poor. I vacillate between feeling extreme resentment towards him, a renewed sense of purpose, and just sadness. I was pervasively lied to and gaslit for years. I’d bring up inconsistencies and he’d tell me my “math was wrong” (plot twist, it was right.) It's gross. And I'm really struggling with it. I also feel incredibly foolish for letting this continue for as long as I did. Thank you if you read all of this. I appreciate any insight or feedback. I am committed to making my marriage work, although a lot of the time I'm not sure why.
