Brought my Digital Green Limited RWD on Friday
2023.06.04 14:26 chnobs Brought my Digital Green Limited RWD on Friday
Signed the paperwork on Friday and got 2.75% APR from Hyundai. I was shocked to get 2.75% which definitely beat out my credit union 8.2% and USAA 5.2%. It will be deliver to me in Cobb County GA from Stone Mountain GA on Monday. My wife does not do well driving far so I had to settle for the delivery. :).... Shout out to "The_348" in this forum hooking me up with the sale guy in Stone Mountain. Cobb county dealerships markup were over $5000. I went to 3 dealerships in Cobb county and $5000 over. submitted by chnobs to Ioniq6 [link] [comments]
2023.06.04 07:59 Personal_Kangaroo_24 2008 Chevy Equinox Service Stabilitrak & Traction Control & ABS Anti-Lock Light Indicator question
| Recently bought a 2008 Chevy Equinox for dirt cheap from a family member due to all the issues it has. As the car started, the following indication lights stayed on and these messages would cycle on the dash: • ABS LIGHT • ([Brake]) LIGHT • Check Tire Pressure LIGHT (car was neglected for 1+ year(s)) • "Service Stabilitrak" • "Traction Control Off" • "All Wheel Drive Off" While driving the vehicle, these messages kept cycling through at varying speeds. Given all these messages I performed an OBD scan, and received the following report (No codes were reset)***: (Report Dated: May 28) From a bit of research I concluded that the a combination of the following actions could be performed to resolve these issues: • Replace the Steering wheel position/angle sensor. • Followed up by an alignment since the steering wheel is at an angle when driving it straight • Replace the wheel hub and bearing bearing in case the magnetic ring is cracked or broken. • The car makes a growling noise that worsens with an increase in speed. Given the amount of miles the car has, it probably needs a new set of wheel bearings. • Replace the Wheel speed sensor(s) • It's only $12/piece • Fill up the Brake Fluid When we usually have a car problem, I brute force it and replace all the components, but an attempy has been made to narrow the problem down before pulling the trigger and spending money on all these parts. In an attempt to narrow down the problems, I maxed out the brake fluid and checked the speed sensor in question. After disconnecting the speed sensor, a visible inspection of the harness and connector was performed to rule out oxidation or other visible damage. After reconnecting the speed sensor, all of the indication lights ceased to appear. Confused and skeptic to believe that all of these issues were resolved, I performed another OBD Scan and received the following report: (Report Dated: May 29) This was strange as all the indication lights and messages were no longer showing up. Also, bear in mind***, that I did not reset the codes. Shooting-the-shit with a friend, they proposed that I drove the car for a while to see if the codes would disappear (very optimistic approach, I know), or the Indicator lights would reappear. After filling up the tank and driving the vehicle throught varying conditions (25 mph, 35 mph, and 65mph zones) across 40 miles. The "service stabilitrak" light came back on. With the light coming back on, I did another OBD Scan, yet again, here is that latest report: (Report Dated: June 3) Now, I am stumped, what I know for certain is that it needs new wheel bearings because of that growling noise it makes at high speeds, it seems that the steering wheel position sensor needs to be replaced, but now I get a recommendation to replace the EBCM and the wheel speed sensor stop showing up. Any advice on how to move forward? Has anybody experienced or seen this before in a 2005-2009 Chevy Equinox (1st Gen)? If so, what took care of these problems? tl;dr: Bought a 2008 Chevy Equinox for dirt cheap, dash looked like a Christmas tree display, performed OBD to narrow down issue. Christmas display turned off after disconnecting and reconnecting a sensor (no codes were reset). Performed another OBD, different code(s) showed up. Drove car, one light came back. Performed a third OBD scan, 1 code disappeared with a recommended solution from auto repair store. Don't know what to believe. 2023.06.04 01:08 kaiser_lazarus White Premier EUV with S/S in Colorado (MSRP!)
Mountain Chevrolet in Glenwood Springs, CO has a Summit White Premier EUV with sun & sound available for MSRP. I’m still holding out on a bright blue premier without S/S or supercruise (we’ll see if I get one before production ends) but I wanted to spread the news that this white one is currently on the lot and available because the dealership has been exceptionally upfront and communicative throughout my ordering process. I’ve been working with Manny and he’s been fantastic. Best dealer interactions I’ve had in 4 months of trying to track down an EUV out here in Colorado. Good luck to everyone in their own search! submitted by kaiser_lazarus to BoltEV [link] [comments]
2023.06.03 18:18 The_magical_cone9 The year is 2001 and your local Chevrolet dealership has VERY HEAVILY discounted older models to try and get rid of them. What are you buying? (Pictures from google, prices are also from google)
2023.06.03 01:00 Disastrous_Bass_929 Car parts stolen while car was being diagnosed at dealership what can I do?
So like the title says I have a car that was being worked on and diagnosed by a local Chevrolet dealership in California they had the car for almost two months and now that I was able to pick up my car I noticed that that my interior was ripped apart and noticed that my stereo, two amps and speaker box were stolen I talked to the employee who helped me with servicing and he spoke to his managers I then spoke to the manager to decide what would happen next and I was told they would have to talk to upper management and would reach out while also commenting that items in the cars on the lot were not the dealerships responsibility my issue with is they were not items in the car they were literal parts of the car I called the local police to file a report and was told they would most likely not be able to do anything because it might be civil matter between me and the dealership but that an officer would reach out regardless my question is what can I do now or what legal action can I/should I take?

2023.06.03 00:37 mb1552 Has anyone here sold their Type R (or another enthusiast car). Need advice on best course of action.
Hey, Was wondering what you guys thought on the ability to privately sell my 2019 Civic Type R with 30k miles on it. I love it, but I've decided it's time to start getting my social security checks and get a Lexus ES350... Since this is an enthusiast car, do you have any advice? I can obviously list it on FB Marketplace, but I'm in a pretty rural area so I don't know if people will bite. Do you go to car forums? Reddit? Carmax/Carvana? How much will I lose on a trade in... should I do it at a Honda dealership for cash? I got all my service records, have taken good care of the car, no mods, never tracked it, have the OEM wheels with 1 year of driving on it, have brand new cover mats, everything you'd want out of the car... I just don't know if I can find a private buyer in my area. https://preview.redd.it/f6ddwg2nmo3b1.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=102a6f5ed13f6d9ff9ebfce5acff144f9cd4204a Thanks! Located in Alabama. Close to Panhandle and GA. Please do not use triangulation technology to find me. submitted by mb1552 to Civic_Type_R [link] [comments]
2023.06.03 00:23 annamaren Finally! It was Drive-It-Off-The-Lot day!! My process for getting the car I wanted...
I finally found the Bolt EUV and drove to Cincinnati to get it. Here's the car matching the sky in Indianapolis, as I drove through on my way home. 😊 I have been researching and learning more about EVs and the Bolt in particular for a while now, and honestly, I was spooked when they announced production would be discontinued at the end of the year. *This is my first new car purchase, and intentionally buying an orphan still feels odd.* But this car really checks all my boxes for what I was looking for, the Equinox feels like it's going to be too big. I have been ready to buy for a couple of weeks and thought I had a car twice now, only to have it sold out from under me. I found this one at a dealer in Cincinnati, OH, and road-tripped 8 hours in one day to get it, including a portion of the drive to pick up my son who took my old Prius. : ) I found this EUV Premier at Mike Castrucci in Cincy, at nothing over MSRP, no junk add-ons, and a super cheap doc fee. They didn't try to hassle or upsell and it was so easy. I feel like I had been so disappointed with other dealerships giving me the run around trying to upsell me, or saying they were holding a car for me, only to have it sold by another person. My empathy to everyone who's on the hunt for the car they want before this line is discontinued. Personally, I found what I wanted on the lot by continually checking the Chevy inventory website using Zipcodes of the places I thought I could easily drive to within a day or would be a cheap one-way flight. ( https://www.chevrolet.com/electric/shopping/inventory/ ) I focused on rural areas outside major cities in states that I thought perhaps might have a more EV-hesitant local population. (I used WV, KY, NC, VA, OH IN, PA, IL, and WI! ) I made a Google spreadsheet- cos that's what I do- and just cut and pasted dealership info, and emailed, texted, or called dealerships, and kept notes on my search. Even if a dealership didn't have what I wanted, I asked to be put on their call list if someone dropped out of an order that was similar to what I was looking for. ( I used generic wording, and cut and pasted and dropped it in to everyone I reached out to. I blanketed my target areas! ) It took me 2 weeks, and a couple of disappointments when I thought I had something lined up but missed out, but it was worth it! My Prius is a 2010 with 291,600 miles on it, I'm hoping this car will be a long-term investment like that. 😆 https://preview.redd.it/2zcdieyfco3b1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6e7691fd494550dfddc8eb719d99dd69e414fbef submitted by annamaren to BoltEV [link] [comments]
2023.06.02 17:54 crashprime Found one on a lot at (below?) MSRP!
Well I’ve had 2 orders in since August at 2 dealerships. With no allocations in sight, and production winding down I did what I should’ve done months ago. I hit the phones. Yesterday I found an EV in the color I ordered (ice blue) only 3 hrs away.
I priced it on Chevrolet’s website and the sticker selling price on it is oddly lower (sticker has the destination on there too).
No markup. No dealer installed accessories. My only complaint is they put a front license bracket on. (I was thinking of being naughty and keeping it off)
I can’t believe the wait is almost over. Everything done over the phone just gotta put pen to paper on Monday and pick it up! Obligatory first photos to come. Already scheduling an appointment at my local tint shop.
Don’t assume everything is a sold order. Some lots actually have stuff.

2023.06.02 08:01 Extenlaz Dealership voided contract but won't return money pt 2
Update from my last post.
https://www.reddit.com/askcarsales/comments/13swlq5/i_returned_a_vehicle_and_the_dealer_wont_refund_me/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button After involving my attorney the dealership has offered to return the truck for the full purchase price of $51,500 but they won't refund my $3090 in state sales tax.
They claim that Pennsylvania sales tax can't be refunded even though the contract was voided. Their solution was to offer me a "$3090 tax credit" if I traded the truck into another dealership and they would cover the difference in value up to $51,500.
I took this offer to 2 dealerships and they refused the truck as part of a trade because it's only worth $29,800 with all the body damage and mechanical issues. And frankly they think this whole ordeal is bullshit and don't want involved.
The sales tax was financed, even though I paid $9k cash. I think this is why they are refusing to refund it. I didn't know it was being added into the finances, when I told them I had cash for the taxes and my own license plate I was informed they "already added it in" without asking.
My questions are: how do I get my sales tax back, or is this "tax credit" even a real thing? It sounds like another misleading attempt, and both Chevrolet dealerships agreed that I should have just been given the full $54,590 back.
Note I "purchased" the truck on May 11th, returned it May 12th and it's currently June 2nd and still no refund in hand. US sale, Pennsylvania.
I also haven't informed my attorney of the sales tax issue yet since this happened at 6pm.

2023.06.01 23:35 OutlawLogic 2023 Bolt 2LT Ordering/Buying Experience Report
As of yesterday, my wife and I are the owners of a new 2023 Bolt 2LT. We made the purchase through Simpson Chevrolet of Irvine (California). I'll break down the timeline and more below:
- Ordered via texting with the dealership on February 15th. Locked in MSRP at that time. No reservation deposit required.
- Requested a red Bolt with the infotainment package, adaptive cruise control, and the dual-level charge cord.
- On April 12th we were notified that the Bolt was produced and awaiting transportation.
- On May 15th it was shipped from the Lake Orion Plant Yard.
- On May 29th we were informed that the Bolt was at the dealership. We were notified on May 30th that the bolt was charged and inspected by the dealership and ready for pickup.
- We took possession of the car yesterday, May 31st. It took a few hours as they were having an issue with their systems or something, but it was an easy wait.
- SchoolsFirst FCU (our auto loan provider) was very easy to work with, lowest rates we could find for our area. I was also eligible for the $500 educators discount at the dealership, which was a nice bonus.
- I plan on using the reward points I received towards getting the all-weather liner. I think it's probably worth it, but if someone wants to convince me to spend the points elsewhere...
What did I think of the dealership? Overall I'm very happy with my experience. We were given the option to purchase an extended warranty and a paint/interior protection package, and declined both. No pressure from them. When we were doing the paperwork we were also informed that SchoolsFirst had some other protection packages that we could optionally add on. We declined those as well, no pressure from their end to accept once again. We communicated only via text until yesterday, they kept me updated on the status of the Bolt and also let me know about other Bolts that came in, in case I wanted to pick one of those up instead. It was pretty easy getting everything wrapped up once it came in. They did mention that they were doing a dealer markup on Bolts now (2k I think?) but apparently we got in under that wire. No "bait and switch" with the price at the end of the day, no BS, so they have my two thumbs up. On a bit of a funny note, the sales associate I was working with mentioned that they were aware Reddit talks about them. I didn't even bring Reddit up, but apparently they are well aware that people are upset about dealer markups. So that happened.
What do I think of the Bolt? I'm very happy. The Bolt is just fun to drive. One pedal driving and utilizing the regen paddle wasn't as hard to adjust to as I thought. I can charge for free at work (plenty of level 1/2 chargers and some DCFC available), which was a big factor in considering an EV for me. The HOV lane sticker is certainly something I am looking forward to as well. I think the 2LT interior is amazing, and I'm satisfied with the Bose sound system upgrade. I'm 6'2 and I find that I have plenty of space in the drivers seat. I haven't really driven in EV's before and how quiet it is (comparatively) is a bit hard to get used to lol. It's a pretty big difference from what I was previously driving. I was commuting in a 2004 4runner until today. Don't get me wrong, I love my 4runner and Toyota makes great cars but for my purposes the Bolt is just way more appropriate. We need to keep it for surfing excursions as well, and I'm happy to run it into the ground, if such a thing is possible. Anyways, I think it was a great purchase so far especially with the CA rebate and tax incentives still to come. And that's about it!

2023.06.01 17:51 Deep-End7489 Grinding noise going over bumps
My 2022 Chevrolet Bolt (22,000) miles has a grinding/creak noise going over bumps or inclines, this speed bump in the video recreates it perfectly. It's been to 2 different dealerships multiple times and one opened up a GM technical assistance claim where they replaced the motor mounts and lubricated the suspension and it came back a couple weeks later. It seems to only do it now in rain or humid weather. I have another appointment June 12 submitted by Deep-End7489 to MechanicAdvice [link] [comments]

Got approved through Carmax Auto Finance and saw my terms and even uploaded the documents that they required, which in this case was just DL and a selfie.
This is the tricky part. I saw the car was non-transferable from CA to GA so I had assumed that the car simply just needed to be picked up.
I reached out to the store that has the car about it and they mentioned that I am unable to purchase the car due to them not having the title (or E-title to be precise). They said it might take around 3 weeks and they're unable to give me a temp tag so I can take the car home. In the meantime, if someone in CA wants the car its first come first serve.
Now wait a minute...no where did it say on the website that I am unable to purchase the car? Even so...I got approved for the car so doesn't that mean the car is on hold until I decide I cancel the order? In traditional dealerships this would be the case if someone files and application and gets approved, the car is out of the market.
So how can a car, that is no longer available through the search system due to being reserved by me, be bought by someone else despite already being approved for me? The last email I got was approval email and get ready for appointment email.
Please advise on what to do.
Thank you

2023.05.30 17:31 Dry_Western_2342 Air Conditioner Broken in New Car
So my mom just bought a 2017 Chevrolet. Well she didn’t buy it in full she’s going to pay it monthly. The thing is that the air conditioner is broken and the dealership doesn’t want to respond after selling it to her and not mention that the car had anything wrong with it. I think they even told her that if anything was wrong with the car that they would take care of it. Im not sure if we need a compressor or not, she’s just told me about this so Im looking for advice on what we can do. CORRECTION : Used Car

2023.05.30 15:55 CheetahChrome Unable to Switch QMerit Install to New Home
Purchased EUV in January, went through hoops with Qmerit, got an install date set, discovered we were moving to a new home and canceled install with electrician.
- Contacted QMerit to request a change of location; No bueno but happy to cancel operation fully.
- Contacted dealer; no bueno but gave number to Chevrolet Electric Concierge (?).
- Chevrolet says I can only use the charge credit and not the install at this time and would contact dealership to initiate the credit. They did not give specific reason.
Ya I get that we,
switched horses mid-stream, but wanted to parlay what happened to the group.
