Because i thought it was cooler Why go crit multi instead of more mana? Because POB damage number bigger green number when it had crit multi Rule 10 Step 1: Buy a Gavel Step 2: Buy Sceptres with crucible trees that had any of these in the 4 th crucible node - level 10 Energy Leech / Iron Will / Arcane Surge Step 2 DISCLAIMER: This craft was originally only supposed to be 4 nodes since i wanted to save cost and the last node isn't that important Step 3: Crucible forge scepters onto the gavel until you hit 2 connected skills - About 15 trys in total since i didnt bother leveling up any of the trees Step 4: Imprint the base and combine with a sceptre that has +60 crit multi in the right node - this took 2 imprints to complete Step 5: level crucible nodes and imprint new base with the tree having +60 crit multi connected to es leech and iron will, then combine this with sceptres that had +2 to level of socketed spells. This is supposed to be a 1 in 6 i believe but this was by far the most costly part of the craft for me. This step of getting +2 spells on the first node and not bricking the rest of the tree took 77 imprint reforges. Step 6: Use remaining imprint beasts to try and hit manabond node for a 5 deep tree, this step took 7 imprint and reforges to hit (not bad) Step 7: Split base and then crusader slam + awakener orb a shaper mace to make a space zappy gavel Step 8: make several imprints and then start chance+ scouring, Step 9: Hit camerias gavel after 300 chances, imprint it back, then hit Mjolnir 387 chances later. (VERY LUCKY), this should be about 15k chances or more on average to get mjolnir Total cost of the craft - 1div = 220c 1, quad tab of sceptres with supported by level 10 something --- 15c each at the time ( 720c) 3, +crit multi sceptres - 1div each at the time ( 660c) 78 +2 spell sceptres - 20c each at the time ( 1560c) 90 Beast Imprints (85 actually used in total, but 90 where made in the process) - 2.1Div each on average ( 41,580c) 90ish Primordial Remnants - 15 for 1 div ( 1320c) 700 chance + Scours - about 4div ( 880c) ---Total cost of craft = 46,720 chaos orbs or 212.4 Divine orbs I do still have the other split base as well, so im not entirely sure what ill do with that, but maybe that can help recoup some of the costs since ive been playin d4 recently and once im done with that ill come back to POE. submitted by Sh0wTim3123 to pathofexile [link] [comments] |
2023.06.08 00:14 anaestaaqui Delphinium Help
Part 1) I bought 4 fordhook delphinium from burpee, they came and were about 4 big leaves each. I planted them per the instructions. They appear happy and healthy but they’re soo small. Only leaves and about 6 inches tall. I dream of big big beautiful delphinium. Will they take off and bloom this year? Part 2) I bought bare roots from the local store and planted per the instructions. It’s been almost 2 months and I haven’t seen a single green piece pop up. I emailed the company and said it can take 4-6 weeks to break dormancy. Am I just being impatient? Part 3) how can I make sure next year to acquire and have a big patch of giant beautiful delphiniums? I started seeds inside and followed the instructions and every single one that popped up died so I do not know if starting from seeds is in the cards for me. Part 4) I tried my local nurseries and no one had the style I want in stock. I did buy 3 that are the Siberian to add diversity to my flower bed and made a patch for them. But they aren’t where my heart is. My heart wants giant delphinium for the romantic cottage garden Picture is my front flower bed. My home is a new build so everything is brand new this spring. TLDR: easiest/ best method to have giant beautiful delphiniums!! submitted by anaestaaqui to gardening [link] [comments]
2023.06.08 00:14 Immediate-Result7015 Analysis of Autistic Masculinity from a Disability Studies Perspective/Analysis of Adorno and Scaruffi
Let's try this again. Hello, my name is Conner Jared Fields. I am a jazz alto saxophonist (student level, not professional level quite yet). I am also an autism youtuber that talks about autistic boyhood/manhood, I'm also an analyst of the culture industry as it relates to music. My approach to discussing autistic boyhood/manhood/masculinity is both personal and positive about this subject. We look at the weird intersections of the two, and a sort of ableism in mainstream/popular feminist discourse regarding the topic of autistic masculinity (I call this able-minded privilege, I think this is related to a certain language of privilege and theory of privilege most progressive feminists can understand). My argument is that we speak of ability and agency in a certain way, that implies freedom of movement and personal power. Regarding the intersections of institutional power, ability is central to our understanding of agency, and telling someone they are disabled can lead to them internalizing it. This is why the medical definition of disability is wrong. We also look at how autistic girls and boys alike are vulnerable targets to sexual predators (9:10 girls/women, no hard statistics for boys because no one cares about protecting boys), and sex scammers; because the inability to see red flags or pick up on subtle cues that something is wrong occurs in autistic people. The patriarchy doesn't try to protect boys the way it tries to protect girls. I want to take apart this idea of disabled autistic men as having hegemonic power. This isn't to say there are no autistic men that have problems with harassment or violence, this is just to say that those that do while possibly having "male privilege" have faced steep disadvantages throughout life (on a personal note, I have). Autistic adult women however do have to face "the male gaze" and street harassment etc in ways autistic men do not. Source on Autistic Girls and Sexual Violence:
https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnbeh.2022.852203/full (The statistic hits too close to home, when one of us suffers, we all suffer) Autistic Children and Teenagers and Sexual Abuse:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5523127/ Now I have that out of my system I want to compare "The Fetish Character in Music, and the Regression of Listening" by Theodor Adorno to The prologue of Piero Scaruffi's "A History of Rock and Dance Music". Adorno: The illusion of a social preference for light music as against serious is based on the passivity of the masses which makes the consumption of light music contradict the objective interests of those who enjoy it. I can't really understand what Adorno is saying other than he dislikes popular music and prefers serious music. (Classical) Scaruffi makes an argument contra Adorno where he tries to attack the version of the History of Rock Music that is just American or just British or just about the hits from those two countries, and argue it can be taken seriously. Scaruffi: There is not one history of rock music. There are several. There is the history of the hits...The charts decide, i.e. the masses decide...there is a catch: the masses tend to buy what is publicized by the media, which corporations pay money to publicize. Marketing decides the charts. Invest a million dollars on me and I, regardless of my music talent will break into the charts. [Note: Scaruffi studied mathematics in college and has no musical training]. Here Scaruffi gives a criticism of the media and corporations that while not Marxist could be described as critical, to my eyes.
Scaruffi then makes an argument for "alternative" music., by which he means anything that is not mainstream. He is a wealth of obscurities. Scaruffi:...Tell anyone (alternative or mainstream musician) that s/he is playing alternative music and s/he will be flattered. Fans may buy according to the media and to marketing campaigns, but they too recognize the primacy of alternative media. If you tell a Beatles fan the Beatles were mainstream, you risk your life. The evidence is just overwhelming: even the most mainstream musicians tacitly agree that alternative music is more important. I've personally met people that seem not to think like this. They listen to commercial big-band, and Top 40 pop and seem to enjoy it more than I, basically a Scaruffi follower would. Scaruffi argues that embracing "alternative" rock would be a way to bring more sophisticated audiences to rock music. Scaruffi: At the same time, rediscovering alternative rock and giving it its dues is also a way to restore the reputation of rock music among the more sophisticated audiences.
He then goes on to denounce music critics
Scaruffi: Too many music critics blindly follow the instructions from the major record companies and hail whichever "next big thing" happens to get a larger market budget.
Here Scaruffi is criticizing corporate power and influence. Adorno seems to go further than Scaruffi would go regarding his critique of the culture industry.

2023.06.08 00:12 awesomegirl128 99cent depot ripoff
Mini rant - I moved in last month to Mississauga and there is a 99 cent depot close to where I live. I needed a charging cable as I thought I had one but apparently didn't. Went to this store because it was close to me and bought a charger for $10.16 after tax. Today, a month later, the cable stopped working. Normally when I use charger, they last me a long ass time, as in the only reason I buy one is usually because I lose it. Now this store is a "No refund, no exchange, no return" store and they have no warranty either. My battery is was at 5% when I realized the cable didn't work anymore so I was forced to once again go to this store to buy a new one. Then when I asked to buy a cable again they said it costs $9.99 + tax. I muttered under my breath about "I bought the same charger a month ago for a lower price but ok." and so they said they would sell it to me for $8.99+tax. The charger area is behind the counter so there is no set price. edit: TLDR: Bought a charger there a month ago for $10, stopped working a month later, went to buy another charger there again and they initially tried to charge more. https://preview.redd.it/is8veubn6o4b1.png?width=750&format=png&auto=webp&s=77d68ada19a0f2d542b90f948d60e08cd1af2db0 https://preview.redd.it/xeaky54a6o4b1.png?width=302&format=png&auto=webp&s=06c9a1c68aa9b259d8e7be64dffcd98fb6a56839 submitted by awesomegirl128 to mississauga [link] [comments]
2023.06.08 00:12 Easy_Ad4932 20 [M4F] Social, ambitious guy who loves having fun looking for someone to match the vibe
Hey I’m Ben, a 20 years old (21 in August!) guy from England who would love to meet someone amazing!
I’m a full time software engineer (Computer programmer) who is very ambitious! Despite my age I am in a decent career position thanks to my hard work over the last couple years; I started as an apprentice going to university once a week to get my degree while working the other 4 days a week as a regular engineer. I then dropped out at the beginning of this year to join a job with a different company because I was doing more work than the more experienced engineers so I figured I could get myself a job with higher pay 😅 I started it as a hobby when I was like 11 just for fun, and because of that I had years of foundational experience to help me be as good as I am.
Having worked so hard to be where I am now, I’ve decided to focus on my social and physical health while I’m adjusting to my new job. That being said, I would like to one day own or manage a company in the industry. I care about the happiness of those close to me deeply, so my wish is to one day hire the boys under my company and make sure we’re all living the life 😂
Here are the first things about myself I could think of, I'll keep them brief so we actually have stuff to talk about:
- I love to joke around, I pride myself on my sense of humour, it may be for you, or it may not but let’s find out 🤷♂️
- I’m a relatively quiet, but social person who loves to go out with friends a lot to hang out, play sports, watch stuff, go to bars, etc. Don't worry, I'll ask plenty of questions and I won't leave you on 2 word responses like most people here aha
- MOVIE ENJOYER. One of my favourite topics. I'd love to share some of my favourites with you and watch anything with you too. I also love series, can easily binge a season but I can go at your pace!
- Love fashion! I’m not talking about brands and stuff, I mean I like buying clothes that I think look cool. I like to experiment with styles and have definitely not found my style yet but I love to share the journey!
- I’m a big music fan and I really love everything and I have been told my music taste is good (Which is the biggest compliment someone could ever say to me haha). I’m down to travel to any festival so if that sounds fun to you hmu! Please share some music with me!
- I occasionally play video games. I love to play all types of games, especially with friends. I used to play a lot more but social life got in the way a little among other hobbies
- I LOVE to travel. And yes, I’m down to travel with you!
- This one’s a little deep, but my biggest wish is for me to one day be the most important person to someone else
For those wondering I’m 5’ 9” and you can see some photos of me on my profile. The photos aren’t the best I have, more just recent random photos I selected to have an unbiased response.
I’d love to chat to anyone who thinks they might click with me! Preferably around my age but you can still message me if you’re really interested :)
Please can you include a photo, and don't be embarrassed, I cringe at some of the photos I have on my profile lol

2023.06.08 00:12 xSorotsyx We found an injured pigeon and took it home. It passed away...was it our ignorance? RIP Blue.
I will refer to the pigeon as "it" as we dont know whether it was a female or male. We named it "Blue". Sunday night we wet out for a drink close to home. There was a pigeon at this place. It was walking very woobly as if it has hit its head or was dizzy. The waitress said it had been there all day (aprox 8h) and they tried to give it peanuts. It was a young pigeon. We decided we'd take it home as we thought it had fallen out of the nest after a storm and just needed to grow a few days then it would fly away. The next day, monday we took it to our usual vet, she was clearly not vey comfortable handling a bird as she usually works with cats and dogs. She took a look but couldnt find anything wrong. We pointed out the bird had one wing "hanging" lower and missing some tail feathersas if ripped out. And she lightly extended the wing but we couldnt see any visible injury/bone breaks. Blue slept outside where there was a min temp of 18°C in a large cat cage with water, and dove/pigeon food. Tuesday we took him out of the cage and he walked around the bathroom as we cleaned the cage. Blue hadn't eaten or drunk much since we rescued it even after trying to feed it with a syringe. We tried to wash it with a bit of water as it had feathers clumped together on the chest by some mud or something. Then I noticed the wound on his neck! It extended to the wing. After washing his lightly he sat in the warm sun for several hours (3pm to 7pm, note this is in spain so sun is warm) so he dried. So the same say one of us went to the general vet hospital (without the bird) to ask what to do. They also didnt have any aviary vets and told us to go to another vet with experience. We went there, spoke to the vet and showed the images. The vet said to bring the pigeon the next day. Pigeons are considered a pest here so normally they just get euthanized, we were made to sign a document acknowledging this. The next day, in the morning we noticed blue was not moving much. We had an appointment for 12 at the vet but went ealrier. When there the vet saw blue was hypothermic, his wound was quite big, wing likely broken, mix of runny, yellow and brown poop and weighed only 170gr. She put blue in an incubator to try and raise the core temp but sadly blue passed away this evening Wednesday. Wounds look like they were from some attack. We live by the sea, maybe it was seagulls, maybe rats, maybe other pigeons? I have been crying my eyes out since finding out he passed away. We had no idea we were supposed to keep him warm. We even read ideal temp for them is 15 to 22°C and thought anything hot could be too hot or cause fever. Not one of the 2 vets told us to keep it warm, when googling we couldnt find anything about it. We were focused on having Blue rest up, trying to get him/her to eat and drink. Blue had been active flapping wings before but something during the night just suddenly changed. I only knew Blue since Sunday night and today is Wednesday evening but I really came to care for him/her. Did we kill him because of our ignorance not knowing he was so cold? Had we provided a hot water bottle could Blue have survived? Can someone here who is experienced help answer this for us? submitted by xSorotsyx to pigeon [link] [comments]

Introduction
The internet has come a long way since its inception, and with the advent of Web3, we find ourselves at the cusp of a new era. Web3, also known as Web 3.0, represents a profound shift in the way we perceive and engage with the online world. It embodies a decentralized framework that harnesses the power of blockchain technology and smart contracts to revolutionize the internet as we know it.
Gone are the days of relying solely on centralized entities to facilitate digital interactions. Web3 introduces a paradigm where individuals can directly connect and transact with each other, eliminating the need for intermediaries. This shift towards decentralization unlocks a myriad of opportunities, fostering trust, enhancing security, and putting users back in control of their online experiences.
At the heart of Web3 lies blockchain technology, a distributed ledger that ensures transparency, immutability, and consensus. By leveraging blockchain, Web3 enables the creation of decentralized applications (dApps) that operate on the principles of openness and inclusivity. These dApps are powered by smart contracts, self-executing agreements that automate processes, and ensure trust among participants.
Web3 extends beyond mere technological advancements; it carries the potential to reshape entire industries and democratize access to opportunities. From finance to gaming, supply chain management to social media, Web3 is poised to disrupt traditional models, offering new economic models, increased privacy, and data ownership to users.
In this article, we will delve deeper into the intricacies of Web3, exploring its foundations in blockchain technology, the contrast it presents with the current Web2 model, real-world applications, and the employment opportunities it offers. We will also navigate the challenges and limitations that accompany this burgeoning field and speculate on the future possibilities that await us in the Web3 landscape.
So, fasten your seatbelts and get ready to embark on an exciting journey into the realm of Web3, where decentralization and empowerment converge to shape a more transparent, equitable, and user-centric internet experience.
The Foundation of Web3: Blockchain Technology
At the core of Web3 lies the powerful foundation of blockchain technology. Blockchain serves as the underlying infrastructure that enables the decentralized nature of Web3 applications. Understanding the fundamentals of blockchain is key to grasping the transformative potential of Web3.
Blockchain, in its essence, is a distributed ledger that records transactions across multiple computers, known as nodes. These nodes work together to maintain a synchronized and immutable record of all transactions, forming a chain of blocks. Each block contains a set of transactions, a timestamp, and a unique cryptographic hash that links it to the previous block, ensuring the integrity and security of the entire chain.
One of the key characteristics of blockchain technology is decentralization. Unlike traditional centralized systems where a single authority holds control over data and transactions, blockchain distributes the authority and decision-making power among its network participants. This decentralized structure not only enhances security but also reduces the reliance on intermediaries, fostering trust and transparency.
Another vital aspect of blockchain technology is immutability. Once a transaction is recorded on the blockchain, it becomes virtually impossible to alter or tamper with. This immutability is achieved through cryptographic hashing and consensus mechanisms, ensuring the integrity of the data and the trustworthiness of the system.
Furthermore, blockchain technology employs consensus algorithms to achieve agreement among network participants. Popular consensus mechanisms include Proof of Work (PoW) and Proof of Stake (PoS), among others. These mechanisms validate transactions and secure the network by requiring participants to solve complex mathematical puzzles or stake their cryptocurrency holdings.
Smart contracts play a pivotal role in Web3 by enabling the execution of self-enforcing agreements. Smart contracts are programmable code that runs on the blockchain and automatically executes predefined actions when certain conditions are met. These contracts eliminate the need for intermediaries and enable trustless interactions between parties.
The combination of blockchain technology and smart contracts forms the backbone of Web3, empowering individuals to engage in peer-to-peer interactions and take ownership of their digital assets. The decentralized, transparent, and secure nature of blockchain technology underpins the transformative potential of Web3 and paves the way for a more inclusive and equitable digital landscape.
In the next section, we will delve deeper into the concept of smart contracts and explore how they drive the development of decentralized applications in the Web3 ecosystem.
Smart Contracts: Empowering Decentralized Applications
Smart contracts are the building blocks of decentralized applications (dApps) within the Web3 ecosystem. These self-executing contracts, written in code, automate agreements and enable trustless interactions between parties.
Unlike traditional contracts, which require intermediaries and legal enforcement, smart contracts eliminate the need for intermediaries by executing predefined actions based on a set of predetermined conditions. These conditions are written into the code of the contract, ensuring that the terms of the agreement are automatically enforced without relying on human intervention.
Smart contracts operate on blockchain networks, such as Ethereum, which provide the necessary infrastructure to deploy and execute these contracts. They leverage the security, immutability, and consensus mechanisms of the blockchain to ensure the integrity and transparency of the contract's execution.
The potential use cases for smart contracts are vast and diverse. They can be applied to various industries, such as finance, supply chain management, real estate, gaming, and more. For example, in the financial sector, smart contracts enable the creation of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, where users can engage in lending, borrowing, and trading without relying on traditional financial intermediaries. Smart contracts ensure that transactions occur only when predefined conditions are met, enhancing security and reducing counterparty risk.
In the realm of supply chain management, smart contracts can be utilized to create transparent and auditable systems. By tracking and verifying the movement of goods and verifying the authenticity of products, smart contracts enhance trust and reduce fraud in supply chains.
Decentralized applications (dApps) are the user-facing applications that leverage smart contracts to provide enhanced functionality and user experiences. These dApps operate on the principles of openness, transparency, and decentralization, allowing users to interact directly with the underlying smart contracts and maintain ownership and control over their data and assets.
Examples of popular dApps include decentralized exchanges (DEXs) for cryptocurrency trading, non-fungible token (NFT) marketplaces for digital art and collectibles, decentralized social media platforms, and decentralized prediction markets. These dApps harness the power of smart contracts to create innovative and user-centric experiences that challenge the traditional centralized models.
As Web3 continues to evolve, the development and adoption of smart contracts and dApps play a crucial role in shaping a decentralized future. They empower individuals, foster trust, and revolutionize various industries by creating new economic models, enhancing security, and promoting transparency.
In the upcoming section, we will explore the fundamental differences between Web3 and the current Web2 model, highlighting the advantages that Web3 brings to the table.
Web3 vs. Web2: The Contrasting Paradigms
Web3 represents a significant departure from the prevailing Web2 model, which has dominated the internet landscape for years. By understanding the key differences between Web3 and Web2, we can better appreciate the transformative potential of Web3 and its advantages over the traditional centralized model.
Web2, or Web 2.0, refers to the current state of the internet where most online activities are centralized and controlled by a few dominant entities. In Web2, users rely heavily on intermediaries, such as social media platforms, e-commerce websites, and search engines, to access information, interact with others, and conduct transactions.
One of the fundamental differences between Web3 and Web2 is the ownership and control of data. In Web2, user data is primarily owned and controlled by the centralized platforms they interact with. This concentration of data gives rise to concerns about privacy, surveillance, and potential misuse of personal information. In contrast, Web3 empowers users by enabling them to own and control their data through decentralized protocols and technologies. Users can choose to share their data selectively and even monetize it directly, putting them in the driver's seat of their online identity.
Censorship resistance is another crucial distinction between Web3 and Web2. In Web2, intermediaries have the authority to regulate and control the content that users can access and share. This centralized control makes platforms vulnerable to censorship, content manipulation, and data breaches. In Web3, the decentralized nature of protocols and applications ensures greater resistance to censorship. Content is distributed across multiple nodes, making it difficult for any single entity to impose restrictions or manipulate information.
Web3 also addresses the issue of trust in a more robust manner compared to Web2. In Web2, users must trust intermediaries to handle their data and execute transactions fairly. However, this reliance on third parties can lead to vulnerabilities, such as data breaches, hacking incidents, or biased decision-making. Web3 leverages blockchain technology and smart contracts to establish trustless interactions. Transactions are executed based on predefined conditions and automatically enforced by the code, eliminating the need to rely on intermediaries for trust.
Moreover, Web3 introduces new economic models through the use of cryptocurrencies and tokenization. In Web2, monetization strategies often revolve around advertising and centralized revenue streams. In Web3, blockchain-based cryptocurrencies enable new economic models, such as micropayments, decentralized finance (DeFi), and tokenized ecosystems. These models empower creators, developers, and users to participate more directly in the value they contribute to the network.
By shifting the power from centralized entities to individuals, Web3 fosters a more inclusive and user-centric internet experience. It challenges the dominance of intermediaries, promotes data ownership and control, enhances censorship resistance, and introduces novel economic models. With its decentralized architecture and principles, Web3 opens up a world of possibilities for a more transparent, equitable, and empowering digital future.

2023.06.08 00:10 shtarker53 Family o f 6 Road Trip Ideas Appreciated
First time family of 6 ( 4 children ages between 4 and 12) taking a 3 week driving trip that will include ~3 days in Budapest, Prague, Vienna and Bratislava.. Looking for 1-3 places along the way where we can chill out. Our fantasy would be on or near a lake with a decent infrastructure (nearby town) to stroll, buy food, etc. that is a lot less expensive than the major cities. All suggestions greatly appreciated: TIA.

2023.06.08 00:10 Fancy-Amphibian-4787 Birthday party drama, uninvited guests...
I know I have both a MIL and SO problem, I am just furious at both right now. I love my husband, immediate, and my side of the family. But sometimes I regret marrying into this drama. So much background but it's needed for context, plus I need to vent BG: MIL blatantly favors all of her other kids over my husband. Especially her eldest child, eldest SIL. She basically spent more time helping raise her grandchildren than SIL did (not because of work, but because she and her husband seemed to only have children for the prestige, they generally didn't seem to like them as young kids. Now they spoil them with things and activities, but still need "breaks" from their kids almost every other weekend and 1 weekday). She will drop everything for SIL no matter what, for her to party or hang out with friends for a weekend, where I had to beg for her to watch my 1 child for less than 2 hours during 2nd pregnancy for appointments. And they live closest to us out of everyone, so they drive right by our house every time they go into town or to see SIL. Because of this, SIL's 3 kids are the golden grandchildren. And they know it. They can do no wrong, and everything that happens is my kids or other grandkids fault, even with evidence or happen right in front of our eyes. Full dudley dursely attitude during Christmas with gifts, always getting first choice in things, and my kids have to put up with it. Once stepdaughter started voicing her sadness at noticing this, we went LC with everyone. MIL tries to buy affection, BUT has seemed to make more of an effort coming to our house or kids activities now that we don't participate in family things at their home. FIL is a sheep who follows MIL. All that being said, stepdaughter and the eldest GG (13 yr old, first grandchild) got along pretty well previously. They were the only girls, and she seemed meek compared to her wild attention seeking brothers. Albeit dramatic. Stepdaughter got a phone for her 10th birthday. 'Before anyone comes for me for the technology is bad speil. She had to walk home from the bus stop, she was in activities, and her gizmo watch just wasn't cutting it anymore. She has parental controls on it. She had rules about what apps she could have, who she could add, etc. This isn't the 90's technology is a part of life now lol. Stepdaughter started spending more time in her room, on the phone basically 24/7 with friends and Niece. I'll admit fault that we weren't monitoring as well as we should've been. I was drowning in PPA with a newborn and recently diagnosed autistic 2.5 year old, and husband was working 2 jobs so she ended up on the back burner. I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT MISTAKE. But once I came out of the fog we realized her attitude was different than normal 'new sibling' blues. She was getting mean and combative, and EVERYTHING was an argument. She didn't seem to want to talk to her own friends, just niece and her people. We had a phone check in, and JESUS. We let her get snapchat as that was the main way to communicate with her friends, but most were suddenly random boys and nieces friends. And INAPPROPRIATE. Things no 10 year old should be saying. Things her old friends told her they weren't allowed to talk to her anymore because of. Things niece was encouraging/demanding/peer pressuring her to say if she wanted to stay friends with her and HER friends. Niece guilting her when she expressed fear or worry, and tried to defend her friends (who niece would mock). She was very slick about how she would go about it, making SD seem like the instigator and never taking direct blame or responsibility. Always gaslighting her. We had a huge discussion/argument about it, where SD came clean about everything. Admitted fault, but explained the peer pressure fear and how niece would play the victim if she got mad. She lost privileges, deleted EVERYONE, except her old friends and blocked niece on everything. She has made a complete 180 back into the caring compassionate kid she was, and is happy with us and her siblings, talking to her friends again, being active outside. My upset at husband is he doesn't ever want to rock the boat. Our agreement is we don't get involved/ start drama with the others family. Their circus their choice how to handle stuff so to speak. I'm quick to anger and say a lot of stuff in the moment (and was more dramatic 14 years ago when I first joined the family) so it seemed logical. But he let's SO MUCH SLIDE. He worries his parents don't like him, even though he's the only one who wants to take over the family farm and WORKS for his dad, everyone else just gets handouts. He didn't say anything or stand up for SD to any of them, just said niece was blocked because they needed a break from each other. Which gave niece the opening to say it was all SD and she was being mean and drama. THE ISSUE: We're having ONE joint party for my 3 kids birthdays next weekend. Like I tried to make it easier on everyone to not do a bunch of separate things. One day a year to celebrate and keep the focus on my kids. We only invited my side and MIL/FIL. Found out SIL is busy with another event, and BIL is doing whatever he does instead of hang out with his kids so MIL will be watching golden grandchildren. Not happy about it, but we want in laws there so we're putting up with it. Now we're hearing that niece has invited a friend (one that slightly participated but didn't encourage the phone drama) to stay with them, and will also be attending the party. She told daughter (through one app she hadn't been blocked on) that this friend had nowhere to go and if she can't go, then she won't go either. No one asked us, it's just expected she gets to come. We haven't discussed with MIL yet, but I honestly don't want this random kid coming to my kids family birthday party. It's to celebrate with both sides of the family. And if this kid attends, MIL and FIL will work to make her feel included at our kids attention expense. And niece gets more bratty and show offy when around a friend. Husband is still at work so I haven't gone over this with him, I'm just so annoyed at everything. A lot of my family has to work that weekend so it won't be many people, so I'm feeling disappointed for my kids already if MIL sticks with niece and her friend and none of them show. (the other 3 golden grandchildren aren't as bad, FIL is the subordinate, and follows whatever MIL does).

2023.06.08 00:05 Tinapayqueen I miss you big fluffy, drooly dog!
I am trying to do my homework and then suddenly it hit me, again, the realization that my dog is gone. He usually would keep me company, quietly laying on the floor next to me as I do my own thing. But today he is not here, and he has not been for almost 2 months. I just started crying and to release this energy I have to write this piece.
______________________________
He was more than just a pet; he was truly the best dog one could ask for. From the moment my husband brought him home as a shy "big" puppy, he quickly became a part of our family. His endearing character and unwavering loyalty earned him a special place in our hearts. His charm and charisma made him the center of attention everywhere he went.
When he fell ill, his decline was heart wrenching to watch. Once a robust and energetic dog, he rapidly transformed into a frail and tired soul. The illness stripped him of his vitality, causing him to lose a concerning amount of weight. The healthy glow in his eyes began to fade, replaced by a weariness that seemed to age him beyond his years. It was heartbreaking to witness this once vibrant being grow weak and fragile before my eyes. What started as a single lesion on his lips multiplied rapidly without signs of healing. In a matter of weeks, they spread like a cruel wildfire, leaving his body marked with twenty painful wounds. His suffering was unbearable to witness, and it pained me deeply to see him isolate himself, withdrawing from the family he adored. His dwindling energy made it rare for him to acknowledge our presence, a stark contrast to the high spirits that defined his earlier years. The decision to ease his suffering through euthanasia was too heavy to bear, but we know that prolonging his pain would be selfish and unfair. He deserved dignity and peace, even if it meant bidding him farewell sooner than we were ready. The weight of that decision was overwhelming. I hadn't experienced such pain in a long time; it felt as if a precious part of my soul was being ripped away, leaving a void that could never be filled. I found myself fervently hoping and praying for a miracle, wishing that there was some way to save him and buy a few more years together. The day we dreaded arrived. Emotions ran high as my husband carried him out of the car. It was a bittersweet echo of the day he first brought him into our apartment. We were led to a serene, pristine room where he laid on a soft blanket—his fondness for cozy blankets and pillows remained unchanged even on that stark moment. When the vet gave him the medication, he accepted it without hesitation, as if he understood the purpose and the relief it would bring. He gracefully slipped away; his expression tranquil as if he were merely in a deep sleep. I laid beside him and hugged his body as it slowly grew cold. I wanted to remember the way his eyes sparkled with love, the way his ears felt against my skin. With a heavy heart, I whispered my final goodbyes, hoping that somehow, somewhere, he would know how deeply he was loved. In that moment, I clung to the belief in a rainbow bridge where we would get to see his exuberant self once more. I love you, big dog! You will never be forgotten.

2023.06.08 00:04 actuallyiamafish Has anyone ever tried to claim ignorance of illegal objects found in or on their vehicle and succeeded?
If a search of the vehicle turned up drugs or guns tucked away somewhere extremely hard to find, like in a frame rail or inside a door (really any space where the average car owner would probably never have inspected before), could you reasonably claim ignorance of it due to having purchased the vehicle used, and if so would it make any difference?
I'm not planning on trying this obviously, I just have been shopping for used RVs and the thought came to me when I realized how many tiny little obscure places there are inside to hide small objects if you had to, subsequently followed by, "oh shit what if I buy one with a kilo of coke stashed in it somewhere crazy and a drug dog finds it two years from now?"

2023.06.08 00:03 Dinevir Mazda Original Long Life Gear Oil IS == Mazda Long Life Hypoid Gear Oil IS
For those who searched for Mazda Original Long Life Gear Oil IS or Mazda Long Life Hypoid Gear Oil IS as I did and found absolutely zero information here is something interesting: it is exactly the same oil. But do not confuse it with Mazda Long Life Hypoid Gear Oil SG1, it is a completely different product. Today my car mechanic said that it will be nice to change oil in my Mazda's MX-5 ND2 2.0 manual gearbox. I checked the manual which said " Using Mazda Original Long Life Gear Oil IS is recommended" and as usual I started searching for some local shops to buy it. And to my surprise, I could not find anything. Okay, probably that is not a popular product so I called a local Mazda dealer and asked for gearbox oil. He checked the VIN and said the same thing I read in a manual, Mazda Original Long Life Gear Oil IS. Lucky me, the dealer has it in place. I went to it, grabbed oil cans and did not even check it. At home I found that I paid for Mazda Original Long Life Gear Oil IS but got Mazda Long Life Hypoid Gear Oil IS instead. I was a bit confused as I know that Mazda Long Life Hypoid Gear Oil SG1 recommended for differentials. I tried to google any info about - nothing, except some German forum where the same question asked, "what is that?". At some point I saw that cans have some letters under the sticker. I removed the sticker and... ta-da!... it is renamed Mazda Original Long Life Gear Oil IS from Japan! I also checked text on a can with a translator, but nothing interesting there, just common warnings. Mystery solved! https://preview.redd.it/1rsg6icg5o4b1.png?width=2041&format=png&auto=webp&s=7e4c7e984373127c63004084ea3dd89f33973d05 https://preview.redd.it/oa4pzmti5o4b1.png?width=2041&format=png&auto=webp&s=ea08ddf7867528267d28bcbd3e90807af1fca495 Mazda Original Long Life Gear Oil IS and Mazda Long Life Hypoid Gear Oil IS submitted by Dinevir to mazda [link] [comments]
2023.06.08 00:03 ItsLorenzoo_ I need help finding a figure
Hey guys, I’ve been trying to find a good Luffy King Kong gun figure but I can’t seem to find a “real” one. Online it’s full of bootlegs and stuff from aliexpress. I tried looking on other websites to find the one I was interested in (also pre-owned ones) but it keeps showing stuff with the right images and absurdly low prices so you instantly know that you’re gonna get a fake. At the moment I was interested in the one you see in the pic above but even mfc doesn’t have it on its catalogue so I don’t know who made it. Does anybody know where I could buy it? Or do you think I should go with one of the gear 4 released from megahouse? Thank you all in advance submitted by ItsLorenzoo_ to AnimeFigures [link] [comments]

Year 5 Season 1 prime Target is Mari Singh, the former Director of the DC Aquarium. She moved into The Castle and set up a fish farm to support the settlement and build a sustainable and secure place to raise their growing family.
Agents must locate and rescue Mari and 4 other hostages before further damage can be done in Washington DC. Securing the people will help rebuild The Castle and restore vital services for The Division.

2023.06.08 00:01 BeholdMyLackOfWit 31 [M4F] UK/Anywhere - Did you hear the one about the guy who tried to come up with a witty title for his Reddit post?
Turns out he was terrible at it.
He may have even spent a good 10 minutes trying to come up with something but failed miserably. Good thing that guy isn't me obviously. I never have performance anxiety when it comes to the art of the bon mot. I've barely started my post and I'm already stuck. That pretty much tells you all you need to know about my competence. Putting my best foot forward and all that.
I guess I should say a little something about me. That's definitely an idea. I'm from the UK and I'm a big ol' nerd who's into physics and works in tech. Yeah that's right, I'm well cool me. Sorry did I say cool? I meant the other thing: nerd. So nerdy I'm thinking about maybe going back to uni and doing a PhD in either physics or computer science; not fully sure yet. Other than that I'm into boxing, MMA, hip hop, grime, video games, building robots, cooking, travelling, terrible TV shows and exploring the world. Unfortunately I don't get as much experience of that last one as I'd planned to at this point. What with commitments to work and study being a thing. And borders. And the seeming linearity of time. Gosh the world is so inconvenient for me how rude.
I also like to ramble on about random stuff I happen to learn. It doesn't even matter what the topic is. Philosophy, science, politics, how to make the world's greatest hot wings. If there's a way to learn it I want to do it and talk about it. Although if you ask I may inadvertently talk your ears off about something you aren't really interested in in detail. Doesn't that sound great and not at all annoying?
This post is pretty bad. Not gonna lie. If you're still reading thank you but also you must be some sort of sadomasochist. What I'm hoping to find is a long term relationship. I don't really want to put out a long list of what I'm looking for, I've never really operated like that, but I will say a few things that would mean we're not a good match: someone who isn't monogamous, has children or posts NSFW stuff on these here internets or wherever.
So yeah send me a cheeky message if you'd like to chat and get to know each other more. I can send selfies in DM too, just not a fan of putting one out here in the open where the Illuminati could get a hold of it and then photoshop it so one of my eyebrows is slightly bigger than the other. ok. cool. cheers. Bye.
