Respect Goldar (Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers)

2023.06.03 13:16 rangernumberx Respect Goldar (Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers)

When Rita Repulsa was trapped within a space dumpster on the moon, so too were several of her loyal followers. Most fearsome of these was Goldar, the general of her armies. While the others would mostly stay on the back lines, or serve only to steal or plant an item while the Power Rangers were distracted by putties, Goldar would face them head-on, giving them a tough fight whether they were fighting in person or in their Zords.

2023.06.03 13:11 drl7098 Complaint of tree blocking light through window - where do I stand?

I recently had my garden renovated, and I had a raised bed built in the corner in front of a window of another property backing up the end of my garden. I purposefully planted a very columnar tree in there so that it grows tall and skinny. I’m absolutely in love with my garden, and the whole thing took months of planning and stress.
I was heartbroken today when I had a knock on my door from the neighbour at the back complaining that they have lost light in their kitchen. I showed him the garden and how I can’t easily move the tree because it’s a single raised bed, but he was absolutely insistent in that it needs to go.
He’s going to pop back to give me some time to think about it. So I ask LegalAdviceUK, where do I stand should this come down to a debate about this? He was talking as if I would be obliged to remove this tree, but I can’t help be to feel that it can’t be this black and white?
I obviously want to be a good neighbour and person, but at the same time, I don’t want to bend over backwards and remove something which a lot of time, effort and money went into. I’m sure there is a compromise to be struck in the form of pruning so that the window itself isn’t so obscured.
We’re in London, so obviously a lot of properties crammed in together at close proximity.
You can see some photos of the offending tree here: https://imgur.com/a/Tv5cBFJ
Thanks for any advice.

2023.06.03 13:08 Playful-Ad6687 Looking for Marijuana Penny stocks? 3 Tips to consider

3 Tips to Use to Find Marijuana Penny Stocks

Understand Penny Stocks as a Whole

Penny stocks are intriguing investment opportunities that have garnered significant attention from investors worldwide. They represent shares in small companies and typically trade for less than $5 per share. One of the attractive features of penny stocks is their affordability, making them accessible to a broad range of investors. They offer an entry point to the stock market that doesn’t necessitate a substantial financial commitment, thereby opening the doors of investing to individuals who may otherwise feel barred by high-priced shares.
One of the intriguing aspects of penny stocks is their potential for substantial growth. As these stocks often belong to small or emerging companies, they have a great potential for growth, especially if the company is poised for success or is operating in an expanding industry. This presents an opportunity for investors to get in on the ground floor and benefit from the company’s growth and success.
Additionally, the broad spectrum of industries and sectors that penny stocks encompass allows for greater diversification within an investment portfolio. From technology to healthcare, energy to consumer goods, and indeed the burgeoning cannabis industry, penny stocks provide a way for investors to explore diverse sectors without a heavy financial burden.
Finally, trading penny stocks can be an excellent way for novice investors to learn about the market, stock analysis, and trading strategies without risking large sums of money. The experience gained from investing in penny stocks can provide valuable insights that can be applied to other aspects of personal finance and investing. While the journey of investing in penny stocks can be an exciting adventure, it should always be approached with a keen mind, robust research, and the willingness to continually learn.

Identify Marijuana Stocks With Growth Patterns or Innovation

Identifying marijuana penny stocks with strong growth patterns or innovation is crucial in order to maximize your investment. One key to this is focusing on companies that are setting themselves apart in the expanding cannabis market, either through innovative products, services, or business strategies.
Looking for companies that display consistent growth in their revenue or customer base is a good starting point. Consistent growth patterns can indicate that a company is effectively meeting market demands, expanding its operations, or entering new markets – all positive signs for potential investors.
Innovation is another essential factor to consider when selecting marijuana penny stocks. The cannabis industry is a rapidly evolving sector that constantly demands innovative solutions. Companies that demonstrate an ability to innovate, whether through unique product offerings, technological advancements, or novel business models, are likely to gain a competitive edge. For instance, companies might excel in areas such as cannabis-infused beverages, edibles, medical marijuana applications, or eco-friendly cultivation methods.
Furthermore, the marijuana industry is subject to regulatory changes that can have significant impacts on the market. Thus, companies that show agility and adaptability in the face of these changing regulations are likely to fare better in the long run. This might involve entering new markets as they become legalized, or rapidly adjusting their business models to comply with updated laws.
Keep in mind that, like any form of investing, choosing the right marijuana penny stocks involve thorough research and careful consideration. It is necessary to review the company’s financials, assess market trends, and keep abreast of industry developments to make informed decisions. Nonetheless, with the right approach and diligence, investing in marijuana penny stocks with growth patterns and innovative strategies can offer significant returns.

Keep an Eye on Marijuana Industry Trends

Staying informed about trends within the marijuana industry is crucial when investing in marijuana penny stocks. This industry is dynamic and fast-paced, with regulatory landscapes, consumer habits, and scientific discoveries continually shaping and reshaping its course. Therefore, keeping a close eye on these developments can significantly influence your investment decisions and potential returns.
Regulatory changes are a significant driver of industry trends. As more jurisdictions move towards the legalization of medical and recreational cannabis, new markets are opening up. Observing these legal shifts can help identify companies that are well-positioned to expand into these newly opened markets, potentially leading to substantial growth.
Consumer trends are another critical factor to consider. As the cannabis market matures, consumer preferences are shifting and becoming more sophisticated. Products such as edibles, topicals, and wellness products are gaining popularity. Companies that are at the forefront of these trends and cater to changing consumer demands may present an enticing investment opportunity.
Scientific research also plays a vital role in shaping the industry. As we learn more about the potential benefits and applications of cannabis and cannabinoids, companies that align themselves with this research and incorporate it into their product offerings could stand to gain significantly.
In addition, technological advancements are revolutionizing the industry, from cultivation methods to delivery systems. Keeping an eye on companies that embrace these technologies can identify potential leaders in the space.

2023.06.03 12:56 YukiteruAmano92 Remembrance, Chapter 2 of 28

TWBS Previous Next
-
--- Hr3101m973S’s perspective---
---Tuesday, 31st of October, 2682 Terran Calendar---
---Southwestern Scotland---
I ride the speeder at an altitude of 307m over the rural landscape.
I have 158 other bodies making similar deliveries across Britain right now, as well as 29 in Ireland and 11 in Doggerland. Though, none of them have quite as spectacular a view as this one does so, for the moment, this is the body whose sensory feed I’m paying the most attention to.
I see a large herd of mammoths walking at the edge of the Galloway Forest.
Though it has a better view, the news I’m carrying with this body is just as grim as all the rest.
In hindsight, it’s probably a good thing that I was such a spendthrift with regard to my fleet of courier bodies… If I hadn’t been, if I’d selected abilities that let them do much more than deliver things, they may well have been requisitioned for military use… which, I suppose, they were anyway… but there’s a big difference between delivering notices on Earth and fighting on some distant planet!
Still, if sacrificing my replaceable bodies would save even a single irreplaceable life, I would definitely have done it.
The city comes into view.
Calling it a ‘city’ may be a little generous… it only has 2,507,963 inhabitants.
That may have been a respectable city in the 22nd Century but, for context, nearby Dumfries has 7,491,509 and Glasgow has 24,339,192!
Stranraer occupies a rare middleground between the historic hamlets that are allowed to exist in the countryside and the megalopoleis where around 98.32% of people on Earth live.
I land in the northern part of the town and step off my speeder.
I get some raised eyebrows as I walk from the landing pad to the residential home.
I don’t blame them!
Before the War, every single one of my courier bodies had a full suit of elastomer over their entire body, to make them seem more lifelike… Now, though, that’s considered a luxury and, so, this particular unit is walking around with its metal endoskeleton bare, bar its uniform.
The effect can be a little offputting… though, in truth, it may also have to do with the news they’ve inferred me to be delivering to some unlucky soul.
I cross the wall into the garden and begin walking up the steps, through the mosslawn shrouded by pinus sylvestris trees, to the house on top of the little hillock.
It takes me 12 seconds to reach the door from the gate… I can’t rush, I need to give this girl her due respect.
I rap on the door 3 times and hear the knocks echo through the cavernous hall behind.
A man opens the door.
I begin, speaking in the most popular local dialect of Lallans Scots that I know to be this man’s primary speech register “Greetings, Mr Baird. I don’t know if you remember me but…”
“I remember you! I’m organic, not daft! You’ve been here enough times already…” interrupts the residential care manager, his demeanour gruff and no-nonsense “…Come in, Hermes… You can wait in the kitchen while I go get her.”
I step into the building, passing below the lowest of 5 balcony walkways into an open space with a skylight ceiling, allowing in the natural light.
I let the man lead the way to a large kitchen.
He pulls out a chair for me.
“Thank you, Sir, but I believe I ought to remain standing to make this delivery.” I respond, politely.
“Suit yourself…” he shrugs before walking off, presumably to fetch the girl he knows I’m here for.
I wait several minutes before he reappears.
The girl he has in tow is the perfect match of the file photo (though a few years older). She is average height, 178cm, and has an average build. Her skin is pale, her eyes are emerald green and her hair is long, absurdly voluminous, curly and vividly red.
She looks to be in fine physical health and is making no pretence of illness or injury, though she is scowling at me.
The grey bearded man shuts the door, leaving me alone with the girl.
“Could you tell me your name, please?” I ask, already knowing.
“Esme Reid.” she answers, truculently.
“And your date of birth, Ms Reid?”
“31st of October, 2664. Come to give me a birthday present, have you(?)” she says, folding her arms, pursing her lips and looking away to the kitchen counter by the window.
“Thank you…” I say, reaching into my bag to withdraw a letter and a large holopad with a stylus attached.
I hold the letter out to her and say “This is your conscription notice, Ms Reid. Please sign receipt of it here.” indicating the holo.
Her eyes flick from the paper to the screen before she drily answers “I don’t suppose, if I don’t take that or don’t sign for it, that’d mean I couldn’t be drafted, would it(?!)”
I shake my head and respond “I’m afraid that no such loophole exists, Ms Reid… If you have a conscientious objection to fighting, you could request a nonmilitary national service. However, you would be asked to provide some proof of your conscientiousness and…”
“I’m no bleeding heart…” she says, snatching the letter from my hand, irritably “…I’ll sign for my bloody death warrant!” scrawling her name on the pad.
Without looking at the pad, I check the signature she provided against the one on file and find it a close enough match to proceed.
“Thank you, Ms Reid. Please report to your local recruitment office in Stranraer within 14 days for your physical and psychological fitness assessments. They’ll then interview you regarding your preferences for training and deployment and they’ll try to take those into account when assigning them.
Great(!) Maybe if I can convince my evaluator that I’m cracked enough in the head, I won’t get sent off to die like my mam and dad did(!)” she quips, sarcastically.
“I don’t think you’ll have much luck with that strategy, Ms Reid… Sol’s government have had quite the interest in weeding out malingerers these past few years… I would put the odds of success below 1%.” 0.75619902%, actually, but that’s too many decimals for most biologicals’ patience(!)
She frowns up at me and demands “I’m being such a brat about this… Why are you still being so friendly!?”
I laugh “Ms Reid, though I strongly encourage you not to express the same demeanour to your drill instructors as you are with me, you are far from the worst person I’ve delivered this news to in even the last half hour!… Right now, I’ve got a draftee in Leeds who’s explaining a hairbrained scheme involving unethically cloning a replacement to fight in his stead, I’ve got one in Bristol who’s trying to beat up my body but only really succeeding in hurting herself, I’ve got one in Edinburgh that’s run away in an attempt not to be served… by comparison, a bit of scowling and sarcasm is rather tame!”
“Huh!… Guess I’m not quite the bad girl Ms. Larch always told me I was, am I(!)”
“It seems you shall simply have to work harder(!) I believe there is a leather jacket emporium in Stranraer that still does business…”
She smiles and laughs for the first time that I’ve seen.
That’s the real reason I don’t get touchy about the attitudes expressed to me by draftees: It makes my job so much easier when I soften the blow with good manners and good humour.
As unfair as it is that so many choose to shoot the messenger, it’s understandable when you consider the messages I carry.
“Ms Reid…” I start, seriously but softly “…if you truly do not wish to fight, you know there are alternatives? You can discuss them with your recruitment officer but…”
“I got no special skills, Hermes… Nothing I can do that an AI couldn’t do faster and better… The Merchant Navy’s basically as dangerous as the Navy Navy, just less armed… the Humanitarian corps has a waiting list so long that the War’d be over (one way or another) long before they got to the point of considering me… I know where Im going… no use in fighting it…”
“Alright, Ms Reid… I wish you the best…” I say, turning to leave.
Mr Baird shows me out of the house.
Rather than walking back to the landingpad, to retrieve my bike, I walk the other way.
My bag is still heavy with conscription notices… it only makes sense to deliver all the ones in this town first…
---Oskar’s Perspective---
---Southern Doggerland---
The evening sun plays off of the calm waves of the North Sea.
It should be raining on a day like this…
This gorgeous weather is slapping me in the face and telling me to be happy, to be content…
I know the weather does not care for the happenings of people… I know that, if it rained everywhere and every day there was a funeral, the whole world would flood… I know this… and still… I hate this contrast between my grim, internal misery and the tranquil sun drenched beach where I stand, this autumn day… There’s barely even any snow on the grass…
When this War started, I was fourteen and had two loving parents…
My Father was too old to serve, at 51…
At 37, my mother was not
Yet, it’s not my mother’s funeral I am attending right now. That was two months ago.
No… the strongly built 55 year old man, dressed in a long white robe and clutching a Norse langsverð, despite having been a fishfarmer and not a warrior, is my father… Lars ‘Walker’ Taylor.
His eyes are closed and he lies within a wooden boat, around 80cm wide and 3m long.
This boat was never meant to touch the water… I bought it from a supplier in Bankland that specialises in funerary boats for Doggerland’s Forn Siðr community.
I already recited a poem… there’s nothing else for me to do until the singer begins.
I’m not listening to the Goði prattle on about Valhalla and Ragnarök… I’m just looking at my father’s face… oscillating between hating him for doing this to me and hating myself for doing this to him.
The sermon concludes and a blonde woman, like everyone else present, dressed in snow white funeral clothes, steps forward.
One of the three men behind her brings his bow to the three strings of his tagelharpa, another raises a flute carved out of a cow’s leg bone to his lips, the last begins banging out a slow beat on his drum.
The band would definitely be larger if so many of the Hof’s musicians hadn’t been called up to serve.
The men begin playing a mournful tune and the woman begins a wailing, melismatic melody, not in English, the first language of most here, not in my father’s native Frisian, not even in New Norse, the liturgical language of his faith…
She sings in a strain of Norwegian that was spoken centuries ago, when there were barely any Forn Siðr practitioners living.
mf♫ Eg songane søkte
Eg songane sende
Då den djupaste brunni
Gav meg dråpar så ramme
Av Valfaders pant♫mf
I have a final part to play in this ritual.
The Goði picks up the torch and lights it against a flaming brazier before beckoning to me.
I step forward from the small crowd.
In contrast to most, whose clothes are pristine white robes and tunics and such, I wear the same simple white suit that I wore two months ago.
I may be a nonbeliever but no one at my father’s Hof challenged the idea that I was the most fitting person to perform this last rite for him.
I take the torch from the man and walk to my father’s side.
I hesitate before I touch it to one of the mounds of high energy, smokeless fuel that surround his body… but only for a moment…
The flame quickly takes and, before the current verse of the song is even finished, the entire boat is engulfed in fire.
I toss the torch in and step back from the conflagration.
Minutes pass as I watch the inferno consume the entire pyre.
I barely notice the music stop.
I barely notice the crowd thinning as people leave.
I just watch as the man’s existence is wiped from the Earth.
“Have you thought about what you’re going to do now, brother?” asks a voice from beside me.
Without looking at the Pagan cleric, I dully answer “I have.”
“And, what is that… if I may ask?”
“My birthday’s in January… I’ll be drafted… but I don’t have to wait… I’m going to go to the recruitment office and request an early start to my training… by the time it’s done, I’ll be 18 and they’ll be legally able to deploy me.”
“I… see… that’s certainly… an option… Have you thought about…?”
“I haven’t, Tormund. This is what I’m doing.” I state, still looking at the blaze.
“I see… I wish you well then, Oskar…” Tormund says, sincerely.

2023.06.03 12:38 teensyghost Hardcore Run + General First Impressions: (i hate the scroll of death evasion !!!!!!)

I love the game so far. My first playthrough is hardcore which hasn't been quite as fun as I was hoping. I'm very nitpicky on the handful of things that really bug me about the game, but the game is otherwise so fun, 9/10, wonderful, I'm going to put 1000 hours in and get my moneys worth with this one.

Hardcore:

LOWER THE DROP RATE OF THE DEATH EVASION ELIXIR. PLEASE. PLEEEASSE. It's honestly belittling and annoying as hell to see 4 or 5 drop at a time in a single group or during an event while going through the game. Honest? You can't even make it until Scosglen, so why the hell did I learn it at level 2? Why do so many drop? It's in my face all the time that I'm playing hardcore, but am I really? Here's two different methods of avoiding it, there you go.

Art:

Flawless. Act 2 is so, so beautiful. The bloodied wolf scene in tristram was my first real 'wow' moment in the beta and it still made me so happy in the real game. The druid intertwined with the tree was a gorgeous sight, however, a small explanation of such a stunning set area would have been nice. The blood vane, the crimson path? Breathtaking. I love the theme. I love the aesthetic of Lilith's corruption throughout the game. The environments are stunning.

Story:

First thing, In this game they do even worse with one thing than diablo 3 occassionally did; long dialogue where I'm standing around listening to long, dramatic voice acting. First? The dying soldier that warns you of lilith in the beginning of the game? 'Vigo, metal does not harm her, spells do not affect her' (I'm paragraphasing, but that guy) Is so obnoxiously annoying. But, the actor did a great job! But you have to set it correctly. If you want dramatic moments like that, force me into a mini cutscene or let me continue on in someway. It breaks the pacing. Same thing happens all the time where I'll stop and think, 'Wow, they really could've thrown a mob in right here to give me something to do and not hyperfocus on the weird sounds this actor is making'. The in-game models are doing next to nothing, so it starts to feel like the voice actor talking in my ear, not a full character. It's very immersion breaking. When you save Petr's son, I get the same feeling.
There are so, so many moments through the story where two people are talking and I couldn't give less of a fuck cause nothing is actually happening on my screen. Donan and Yorin when you first meet them? Bro I'm here and waiting. I'm just hearing voices, and they're usually unnecessarily dragging out their (dying breaths). No one gets that cool, long final words monologue until I care about them, like the>! tree-attaached druid.!< I didn't mind quite as much because the set was beautiful to look at, and>! I actually cared about his dog. Not him, but his dog!<.
Scenes like Donan in the keep taking his time to drag the bodies into a neat row, or the mini cutscene where you first met Neyrelle's mom and she attacks her actually work pretty well, and I just wish all of the dramatic voice acting could have mini cinematics like that or a few mobs for me to occupy myself. Let me follow the dog around a pretty area to look at. Let the characters talk and chat in my ear about their thoughts or whats happening as I walk through the mining shafts in the first act. Either talk as you walk, make me cinematic, or give me something to kill.
Second thing, is the plot of the first act. I don't enjoy the incentives I'm given. I am here to kill demons, yes, and Diablo has always been a battle of good and evil, yes, but I am not slaying demons to be a saint I am doing it for fun and coin. Why the hell am I signing up for a holy mission? When Lorath asks me 'What are you going to do about (your connection with Lilith)?' when you first meet him? I hated the response. 'Ah yes, I'm going to start a holy pilgrimage and dedicate a lot of blood and sweat into figuring out what she wants for the people, and then kill her and everything inbetween, including massive demons' just did not check out for me. I guess that's because we don't know anything about our characters, whereas in D3 we're said to be noteworthy adventurers seeking this kinda thing out, and in d2 we're repeatedly praised for our helpfulness as a random adventurer that doesn't need to be doing in this. But I really felt like killing all>! of the townsfolk that drugged us ! I was not sold in act one that Lilith was awful through my many playthroughs. Her corruption of the initial town was cool and super aesthetic. They killed a priest together that was super mean to them! We dislike Inarius cause he's an asshole! I think Act 1 just feels really weird compared to act 2. I'm here serving the church of light, basically. In act 2, we see direct consequences from Lilith's cruelty that I actually want to prevent, regularly. In act 1? Idk wtf Lilith even wants. Maybe she wants to hook up with Inarius again, idfk. Maybe she's vibing.
The conversation with Lorath didn't feel incentivizing, either. It was not until we killed Neyrelle's mother that I really felt against Lilith as the villain, otherwise, I really wished for an option to just join her side instead, it sounded like more fun of an option. Tbh, I'd still prefer that.
Act 2 does a way better job of selling that she's an antagonist. I think there were a lot of missed opportunities to better explain the nuance going on in her mind control/corruption throughout the entirety of the game, but, I'm hoping that it starts to feel cohesive in act 4. I wanted>! Airidah and Vhenard's logic during their corruption!< to be slightly sound in logic. I think this has been part of the fact that I still like Lilith, her words 'sin is their birthright' and the sentiment of 'freeing the people, cull the weak' obviously has horrible consequences, but has some logic there. I think they almost achieved a smarter theme of this through the game, but fell just short. You ask a lot of corrupted people 'Why?'
Airidah said 'My people have forgotten what it took to vanquish Astaroth. How are they going to fair against hell?' This... is so close, but not quite. I loved and ate up the lines where she implied she was trying to help her people, worried that they had become too soft and needed this hardship to prepare and survive. But... it kinda fell apart as she talked. She started to feel like a wasted mind. I wanted her to say 'I see them preparing. Uniting with the knights they hate, even. You're even here for them. If they can't remember what it took to survive Astaroth, if they don't adapt and survive me, how will they ever fare against Lilith? I don't want to see my people destroyed.' Not that that's perfect, but, if these people are corrupted to the levels of mind control where their sense is gone? I don't want my character to bother asking them why. Just let me put them down. Everytime someone asks anyone 'Why' in this game just feels like a waste.

Shop:

Not a huge fan of the microtransactions so far, even though I wasn't against the idea before seeing it in action.
I hate that the $20-30 sets also have a separate accessory set that's literally sold separately. I LIKE that my friend was able to purchase the raised by wolves accessory set that was much cheaper and now we match, I like that there are cheaper options, but I think that each set could've been a $18-25 version that included everything, then maybe a $5-10 mini version like 'Here's a cute weapon, a dog, and an emote' as it is. But include it in the big set! If you think about it, the pricing isn't $25 for their most expensive sets, but $35 which is sorta ridiculous. I saw this the most on the Druid heir of the sea set, like, why separate it? That's so stupid.
It just feels bad browsing the shop. I was even excited to make purchases if something caught my eye before I dug into it. I also hate having to buy entire, full sets when honestly I'm just upset at the lack of tattoo options and want those to put on other characters. I'm hoping that the battle pass has individual items in it I can unlock through it. I want to buy and find small cosmetic options. Especially since a lot of helmets in the shop you can almost find in game, just with a changed detail or two.

Character Creation/Shop pt 2.

I really, really hope in the future to see more makeup options, tattoos, hairstyles. Anything at all to make the character creation experience a liiiittle better since its pretty lackluster right now. I think being able to tweak my diablo characters is great, but my mind automatically wants way more options when given a character creator tool. I like writing and drawing so I have a few druid OCs which got me excited, but they visually just would never work as a diablo druid. My friend had a problem, too, of her rogue's likeness just... meh. Didn't quite hit.
I want more hairstyles. I'm glad to see I can buy tatttoos, but I probably won't just because I don't want to pay $25 for just the tattoos. I like the item sets., just not enough to pay for them. Maybe something cool will come out at some point, but, I was pretty underwhelmed. I think I maybe still have to see what endgame gear looks like. I was planning to buy at least one set, but, idk if I will.

Gameplay:

One complaint I keep hearing is 'So few skill slots'. Not that this makes sense we have as many as any other pc game other than a jrpg. I think the problem is actually that we're getting our ultimate abilities by level 30. We're unlocking the whole ability pool too fast and then going back to add in tweaks and buffs without actually getting new things between 30-50 while we wait for the paragon board. Overall, there's a slightly lacking sense of progression which honestly feels so tough on characters with slow, boring levelling like the druid.
Otherwise? Pretty good. I dig it. Please tweak the 1-50 damage numbers on druid so it isn't 'pulverize or nothing.' Especially levels 5-20, 25 holy god ew disgusting.
I think Rogue feels amazing, Sorc looks like it's going to be fun, Necro... is eh? I'm not having much fun and, another guy put it better, it does not feel like minions are your bread and butter. I enjoy the druid companions more than the necro ones. I'm most likely going to fully sacrifice them all if the bonus for doing so is better than keeping them. Druid feels so cool and so underwhelming. Like the rogue feels cool both in design and because you're actually killing shit. Druid feels so cool and nice, but has too high cooldowns, your damage sucks ass... it's eh. Barb? Doing barb things, having a good time. I really wanna play necro and druid, but, they just don't quite hit.

2023.06.03 12:30 JoshAsdvgi “The Invisible Gift”

“The Invisible Gift”

“The Invisible Gift”
by Takatoka
While strolling in the quiet darkness after midnight on the sacred Manataka (Hot Springs) Mountain in 1982, the vibration of the trees and all manner of things seemed to speak to Grandfather Lee Standing Bear Moore in a cacophony of movement and sound.
He came to a place used a hundred times in the past for ceremony, so he thought it was a good time and place to offer up prayers and chants to quite the dissonance he felt.
The vibration was strong like a big wind and he felt uneasy.
His great-grandfather learned at an early age to feel and hear the vibrations of the stone people and over the next 95 years he honed his ability to interpret the frequency language of natures vibrations for the purpose of diagnosing people in need of healing.
Over the years, Grandpa learned to use a variety of stones, each having a unique vibration, to read ailments.
Selecting a stone from the windowsill, he placed one an inch or two away from the body. He discerned pictures inside the patient's by “listening” for frequencies.
He could hear or feel the location, size, weight, consistency, color and a dozen other pictures of the affliction causing pain or suffering for the patient.
Using that valuable information, Grandpa was able to create successful treatments with herbal and mineral medicines to bring balance back into the body.
Grandpa crossed over and the family lost much of the knowledge and art of using vibration to heal.
Three generations later, g-grandson Standing Bear Moore began searching for answers and ran across a plethora of modern medical information about vibration.
Today, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment is used to non-invasively diagnose a large variety of symptoms.
He realized immediately that Grandpa was using the natural magnetic resonance (vibration) of stones and the earth to ‘hear’ inside the bodies of sick patients using ‘frequency languages’ – without the use of expensive medical technology and equipment.
Bear has attempted to duplicate Grandpa’s lost art many times and has achieved some limited success.
However, his knowledge of ‘hearing’ the vibration of stones and other elements of nature is not sufficient to diagnose and benefit others.
His years of exploration of this wonderful phenomena of Creator’s many gifts has produced other good results about understanding the experience of ‘hearing’ or feeling natures vibrations – sufficient enough to sometimes know what they are communicating.
It was on the great Manataka Mountain that late night in 1982, that the combination of “hearing” the vibrations all around him, the confusion it produced in his mind and racing thoughts about spiritual visions came together like a loud clap of thunder.
Everything in the world vibrates.
Every grain of sand, plant, tree, stone, fish, bird, insect and humans – all manner to things in the universe posses a unique vibration he calls the ‘language of frequency’.
He discovered that all manner of things must be grounded to the Earth Mother in order to maintain a balance of frequency – an electro magnetic field that surrounds and permeates the earth allows all vibration to maintain its unique frequency.
Thus, the language of frequency, unique to each minute part of creation produces a constant output of discernable vibrations – all traceable and verifiable by modern science.
"...Mankind could once speak to all of nature..."
It is said that man once possessed the ability to speak with the animals.
It is said Adam and Eve spoke with the animals in Eden.
Lee Standing Bear Moore is convinced this myth is true.
But then he adds the idea that mankind could once speak to all of nature using frequency language.
Somehow mankind lost that ability by listening to himself rather than to God's creation. Today, he wonders if Creator is laying the ground work to allow humans to again speak with all things born on Earth Mother.
Will this miraculous event occur when mankind achieves higher mass consciousness?
Dwelling often on ‘frequency languages’ and sometimes seriously experimenting to find vibrations he calls "songs of light" or "nature's dance" emanating from familiar trees, stones, animals and humans, Bear knows that he is not the only one led to these wonders. The world of vibration healing is everywhere these days.
Some practioners do it correctly when they remember that God is The Source and never fail to give thanks and provide a sacrificial gift.
Others, who take credit for knowing something about vibration's Songs of Light and charge money or demand a donation for ineffectual 'energy healing' are fooling themselves and others.
Bear is not crazy, he is just fascinated with the idea of communicating with the Creator of All Things in a different way.
“God gave us this invisible gift,
now it is time for mankind to learn everything that Grandpa knew and used for the glory of the Creator of All Things,
” said Lee Standing Bear Moore.

2023.06.03 12:27 Mad_Creator Gorm's Epic (English Version)

Gorm's Epic (English Version)
Episode 1 The End of the Exodus A great, huge ship, a real Ark of 130 cubits, was sailing on the flat sea of a blue and sunny afternoon.
-…I still wonder why you gave such a name to our ship…-
Krom-Nav said, as he steered the wheel. The two brothers always had something to say about each other: Krom-Nav was the eldest, always dutiful and precise in his duties, while Yughy, the youngest, was the more reckless one, always ready to experiment. The first had long brown hair that stopped at his shoulders, light and large eyes, a smooth beard that started under the hooked nose, surrounded the mouth, and ended by covering the chin with a point. The second had shorter hair, hazel, darker eyes, a veil of beard on the chin, both tall, athletic bodied, Krom leaner and Yughy Sturdier, dressed, like the rest of their people on that great ship, in animal furs decorated with the symbols of their people: Five symbols that indicated the elements, Water, Earth, Plants, Air, Fire, which all revered and respected. The two had very different characters: Yughy was impulsive, skilled at manual labor, a hothead who often acted on feeling rather than reason. Krom, on the other hand, was more methodical, more thoughtful, didn't talk much unless necessary, loved to read, and always kept a watchful eye on his people and crew.
  • Come on brother! It's been years since we set sail! You should have figured it out! He means “Earth”!- -And I repeat that "Terra", for a ship that sails on water, seems to me a name that is not at all suitable, Yughy…- -AH! BUT YOU DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND ANYTHING! It's called "Earth" as a good omen! That is to FIND the EARTH, after this very long journey at sea! It's a metaphor, a synonym of Hope!- -Maybe…for me the name Gheos, it still seems strange to me…- -You'll see that you'll get used to it sooner or later…- -Okay! You get used to taking the helm!-
Krom said, walking away, while Yughy looked at him in amazement.
-HEY BUT YOU DUMPING ME LIKE THIS?- -EXACTLY!-
And laughing, he made his way to the large stern. Their relationship had always been like this, since they were children. Bound by a brotherly love that occasionally cracked, but never broke. Even in the darkest moment, in fact, they were together.
10 years earlier, on a very distant coast, on a misty island, stood the village of Missa, a village known for its constant mist. The Missians were a peaceful people, dedicated to agriculture, livestock and fishing, and worshiped the elements of Nature: The Earth, on which they could build their houses, The Plants, which gave them shelter and nourishment, The Air , which moved their mills and relieved them from the heat, Water, which gave them its fish and quenched their thirst, and Fire, which protected and warmed them in the dark nights. Some of them were called Old Sages: They were those who mediated between the Elements of Nature and the material world, holders of ancient powers with which they were born and which they then handed down to their successors. They could blend in and disappear in the eyes of others, use their magic to perform miracles, could increase their strength and speed dramatically, and could read minds and move objects with their thoughts. The title of "Old Sage" referred to the first Village Chief, an old man who helped his people to settle in that place, facing dangers and vicissitudes using his magic to create bridges, drive away beasts and make the land fertile. Since then, individuals with similar powers, even young ones, have received this nomea, a noble title for those who would have been the guides, defenders, or scholars of ancient primordial arts.
There Krom-Nav and Yughy were born. Since they were children they showed innate abilities: Krom spoke with plants and animals, perfectly understanding their moods and intentions without his mouth producing sound, and he was able to exploit the air currents to run faster or make the windmills move, while Yughy was able to manipulate the fire, deflect water in the fields with only the laying on of hands and carried heavy rocks making them float with the power of his mind. Both were in total control of the elements of Nature, and were the most talented of those with their powers. The other villagers respected them, and somewhat feared their power. Krom tried to use his powers to improve life in the village, and was always thinking of his fellow citizens, but Yughi was a much more restless spirit: He composed works of art, sculpting the surrounding hills, but often caused disasters such as landslides and mountain slides, when they pissed him off, he controlled torches to set the pants of troublemakers on fire, and played with water, causing it to float in the air, but when he got distracted, the water fell back, often ruining previously irrigated fields. All pranks that Krom-Nav then had to solve, and the bickering between the two brothers was all too frequent. After a few years, the two grew up, and Krom-Nav was elected full-fledged Sage and head of the village of Missa, while Yughy, also elected Sage, became his trusted second. But not even the time to celebrate, that the tragedy struck the village. A neighboring village, made up of a tribe of hunters and vandals, wanted to take possession of the powers of the Sages of Missa. Thus a war broke out which nearly wiped out the Missians, as the enemies burned houses and destroyed crops. In a last desperate attempt, Krom-Nav defended the survivors of his people, together with other Old Sages and the best Missian warriors, while Yughy shaped with his Psychic power, the metal extracted from the earth, and the wood of the last unburnt forests, a large and stately ship where all the Missians boarded. The few left to defend them sacrificed themselves with honor as Krom-Nav mounted Gheos, and set sail, concentrating his powers and controlling the wind to swell the ship's sails. That terrible night, fortunately, most of the Missians survived, including Yughy, Krom-Nav, and his still infant son, little Lehander.
Lehander was now 10 years old, born with one yellow and one black eye, his hair shimmered in the light and turned dull in the shade, he was an enterprising and playful child, also endowed with powers, like his father. While his uncle steered, and Krom, his father, made sure all was well on the ship, Lehander slept peacefully in the hold, where everyone's dormitories resided. As the ship cradled him in the waves, his dreams came alive with strange visions: Before him loomed an ominous mountain, tall, with spiers that seemed to form a thorny crown of pointed rocks, and the front wall carved as if it were an evil visage. From the "mouth" of the mountain, incandescent lava and magma came out, a real river of death, and from it arose monstrous creatures with red and yellow skin. Then the dream became absurd, moved, strange, many different images of strange creatures fighting against fire demons, until everything suddenly stopped. Lehander saw the Volcano, again, but this time from above, and with it a whole island, huge, with blue seas, green forests, steep mountain ranges and all sorts of natural wonders. Then in front of him, a ball of light. When he tried to touch her, he woke up. It was now full night and beside him was his father.
-DAD…DAD WAKE UP!- Krom-Nav opened his eyes lazily, seeing his son shaken.
-Hey…did you have that nightmare again?- -Yes! But this time it was longer! There was the Volcano, the demons, and then other creatures appeared, and they all lived on this huge and beautiful island in the middle of the sea!-
Krom, listened curious, but disturbed. His son not only had both his and his brother's abilities, but he had developed unusual powers: He often saw how the child, in totally random moments, was able to move his own and the shadows of objects hit by the sun, as if they were solid, and he was able to mold them into any shape. In the same way he was able to "take" the rays of the sun or the moon that shone through the cracks in the wood of the ship to illuminate a totally dark place. He also had the unnerving ability to make small predictions: Krom could not get out of his mind how, one day, Lehander said "I'm going to look for a blanket.", and in that instant the climate, which until then had been scorching, suddenly became cloudy and cold, so much so that he had to interrupt the navigation for two days. So those dreams she told him were hard to ignore. They sounded absurd, but what if they were harbingers of something horrific? He couldn't take this lightly, he had learned over the years that chance was nothing more than a way for the mind to justify natural phenomena and destiny. Krom spoke about this a few nights later with his brother Yughy, after Lehander had a similar vision again, but he kept telling him not to worry, while they were at the bow looking at the sea, that probably the child's immature powers made harmless pranks.
-Krom, you get too worked up…do you remember, when we were kids, I had that dream about a red-hot rock that would hit me on the head?- -Yes, I remember…you were so agitated that when you finally sat down under a tree and a pine cone hit you, you passed out for hours from terror.- -You never remember nice things…anyway if you notice I was a child, and while you already had conversations with blackbirds and lizards, I still had to figure out how to avoid setting fire to the grove behind the house…- -So you want to tell me that Lehander is only very young?- -And also that his powers sometimes go to his head! Then he's always been a kid with a wild imagination, you shouldn't take it too seriously!-
The two continued to converse about it, while the night sky was lit only by moonlight. Krom-Nav continued to be worried about his son's visions, while Yughy continued to reassure him. Krom, however, couldn't get over it, since that wasn't the only thing troubling him.
-Sometimes, when he thinks he's alone, I hear him talking as if he were with someone else...often it almost seems like he's "arguing" with himself.- -Maybe just play, don't you think?- -I know my son, and I distinguish well when he plays and when something is wrong. He's had weird attitudes ever since he started walking on this ship. He has powers unlike ours or any other Sage who have come before us, plus it seems as if he is never fully awake…I think this journey has become too long…our people need a place to call home…and this vessel can no longer be. Far too many people were born and died here, and I think that the continuous wandering in the sea for years is doing as much harm to our body as to our psyche.- -I know brother...I know...-
Yughy said, as he placed a hand on her shoulder.
-…But I'm sure we're almost there. I read the stars yesterday, they seemed to be in the right position, and a few days ago I saw some seagulls in the sky! We are certainly close to the earth!- -You say? What if it was just an islet? A tiny strip of land?- -It will mean that we will replenish the supplies, we could take Lehi and the other children for a walk, and then we will leave again! Where there is a strip of land Often there are others not far away, who knows, maybe after that we won't find a bigger island, or an entire continent!- -…Let's hope so…- -Hey, Hey! Don't make that face. Come on, if I can get that frown out of you, as soon as we stop I'll have Lehander go on a little adventure! As soon as he helps me gather wood, he'll forget about his bad dreams! What are you saying, big brother?- -…Thanks Yughy.-
They continued to converse for a while, Krom-Nav felt more and more reassured by the words of his brother, who had always helped him raise his son: While escaping from Missa, little Lehander's mother, Astreg, was killed by an arrow shot straight to the heart. Krom-Nav had not had time to bury her for years, and kept her remains, mummified so as not to lose them, in a remote room of the ship, waiting for a suitable place for her burial. Since then Krom raised his son alone, with the help of Yughy, who often entertained the child, making him do small jobs on the ship, teaching him some magical techniques, and playing the funny uncle. The two spent a lot of time together, often not even Krom knew where Lehander was, only to later find him with his uncle.
As the two brothers continued to talk, a yell from the watchtower made them whirl around.
-FOG BANK COMING SOON!-
The two brothers ran to the helm, which was being steered by one of their best men, Hagar.
-What happen?- -We are entering a bank of fog, Krom. Looks pretty thick,- -Fog? But how?-
The ship then plunged into fog. All the Missians exited their cabins and made their way to the deck. Lehander reached his father and hugged him tightly, while Krom kept his arm around him. The fog was thick, white, so much so that everyone could feel the steam touching them like a caress, and the salty smell of the sea almost seemed like a sweet aroma. This penetrating fog reminded everyone of the fog of Missa, and caused a sense of nostalgia, serenity, peace in the souls of each of them. Either because of Hagar's caution, or because of the pearly and compact vapor, the mist looked like an infinite Cloud in which the ship was almost swimming. Abruptly, Hagar stopped. Something in the sea was moving. A rumbling was rising from the depths of the sea, and it seemed to get closer and closer. Everyone felt it, and terrified they stood silent, hugging their loved ones. Krom, he looked around, perceived a great, immense force around them. Yughy instead heard only an indecipherable muttering. Then, suddenly, a gasp. The ship began to rock violently, everyone held on to something, the two brothers barely resisted standing. The ship rocked for minutes, until something popped up from the sea: An enormous head, twice the size of the ship, emerged from the water. A gargantuan creature with a reptilian head, mottled and scaly skin, tinged with a brilliant abyssal blue, opened its mouth, emitting a high-pitched dissonant song and displaying thousands of sharp teeth, arranged in a comb, as large as the trees of the ship. His mouth shut, his oil-black eye opened, and he just stood there staring at the ship. Krom-Nav approached the rail, where the eye of the creature scrutinized the ship, while Yughy and Lehander watched the scene amazed together with the rest of the people.
-KROM! COME BACK HERE!- -Keep calm…- -KROM! FOR THE SAKE OF THE ELEMENTS, IT'S NOT A DOLPHIN!- -I said stay calm, Yughy…I feel it…it's powerful…but it's not hostile…- -…HOW SHOULD YOU SAY THAT YOU FEEL IT?-
Krom got as close as possible. He saw the giant pupil turn towards him, narrow and then widen. He feared neither the ship nor Krom. And he didn't seem to want to attack her. Lehander also approached, as if attracted by that magnificent creature. Krom held his son close, and in the process, tried to use his powers to communicate with us. The only thing he heard were strange words in an incomprehensible language.
-Dad...maybe I can understand you...-
Krom wondered for a moment, how could his son already know a language that he didn't know either? But he could not let fear dominate him.
-...Lehe...be careful...and tell us what the beast wants.-
Lehander approached, under the astonished eyes of all. The mighty animal began to make strange noises, but it seemed that somehow, its roaring gurgle and its high-pitched song, resembled words, sentences, a finished speech he was having with the child. Abruptly, he changed, and Lehander turned to face his people.
-…He said his name was Murena. It lives a little further on, in its great lair at the bottom of the sea, near a southward current, and a ditch beyond it. She says that she is one of the guardians of this sea, and that she has a friend with many tentacles, with whom she sometimes fights over the place where she likes to eat. Near her lair is also a large Island. If we ask them please we can live there! There's plenty of room, lots of wood, enough food and water for everyone! We just have to not fish too much and not catch too much. She says she has many other friends on earth, and she doesn't want some of them to get angry.-
The great Moray eel slowly closed and reopened her eye towards the boat, as if it were a sign of assent. Yughy approached his brother.
-…it almost seems that…- -Yes…he understood that Lehander is a “puppy”…and made him understand it easily…- -So, there really is an island…and it's big enough for all the people.- -He also said that there are Beasts like her, if not bigger, that could kill us.- -KROM! HE SAID WE SHOULD NOT DISTURB THEM AS WE ALWAYS HAVE DONE WHEN WORSHIP THE ELEMENTS! YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND! WE ARE ONE STEP AWAY FROM OUR NEW HOME! IF IT'S AS BIG AS IT SAYS WE WOULD NEVER HUNGER! WE WOULD RESIST FOR GENERATIONS AND GENERATIONS! FOR THE FIRST TIME YOUR CHILD WILL TOUCH THE WARM GROUND AND NOT THE COLD WOOD OF THIS SHIP! YOU CAN BURY ASTREG INSTEAD OF ROTTING IT IN THE SEA! IF THIS THING WOULD HAVE WANTED TO EAT YOU IT WOULD ALREADY HAVE DONE IT! LOOK HOW BIG HIS MOUTH IS! THINK WHAT'S UNDER THE SEA! IT'S OUR CHANCE, BROTHER! OUR INVITATION TO A PEACEFUL LIFE FOR US, FOR YOUR PEOPLE! FOR YOUR CHILD!-
Krom was torn: On the one hand there was the risk of a trap by that monster, on the other, his people were tired of travelling, tired of seeing only the sea and having to make do to survive. Krom approached his son.
-Ask her…to show us the way.- -YES!-
Lehander with the most innocent smile he could muster looked at his father and uncle, and turned to the Moray Eel. It remained motionless for an interminable minute, then, its head moved forward, towards the direction of the Gheos ship, its long bluish body began to show itself as it swam towards that direction. It seemed endless, but out of the queue, Krom-Nav realized that his brother was right in his greatness. It was ten times the length of the ship, its serpentine body like a moving mountain range, and the long translucent blue fin that ran along its entire body made it even more imposing to the shocked Missians. The Moray Eel swam ahead of the ship, and began to swim straight ahead to show the way out of the mist. Krom, immediately set to work.
-HAGAR! FULL SPEED! SAILS EXPLAINED! WE NEED TO STAY BEHIND IT! YUGHY! REACH THE LOOKOUT AND CLIMB THE MAIN MAST! ALL ELSE BELOW DECKS!-
And so they did, everyone took their places, the civilians returned, and Krom stood straight in the bow, followed by his son who watched in ecstasy as the gigantic creature guided them towards the unknown. Mist beat against their faces as the ship went at full speed driven by the wind. The creature accelerated more and more as the clouds cleared, they were coming, the salty smell was slowly disappearing. Then, from the top of the watchtower, Yughy screamed together with the other sailor.
-GHEOOOOOOOS! GHEOOOOOOOS! EEEEEARTH!-
Krom still couldn't see it, then the sunlight blinded him, Lehander, and Hagar. As their eyes adjusted, they saw her: A gigantic island loomed before them, a huge layer of land surrounded by cliffs and a sea so blue it looked like fresh water, so clear that you could see all kinds of sea creatures swimming beside the ship, known and unknown. Two huge mountains welcomed them, towering over endless expanses of lush jungles and forests, and surrounded by towering mountain ranges that crowned the entire island. It was their promised land. Their new home
Yughy, he got off, very excited and joined his brother and nephew.
-…Look…WHAT SPLENDOR...- -…Yes…finally…we are home…- -We absolutely have to find a name for her…- -I already have a name for her…- -And what will it be called?- -…it will be our Life from now on…- -Life…you mean..?- -Exactly…GORM…-

2023.06.03 12:04 Danielnrg Why is Stand By Me such a good movie?

No, seriously, I'm asking you.
I'm capable of deep analysis of films from time to time, but this is not one of those. I have no unique insights about this landmark film.
Stand By Me is so ingrained in my life that I'm incapable of viewing it objectively. I first saw it at such a young age, and saw it so many times afterwards, that I cannot view scenes like the pie-eating contest or Gordy's standoff with Ace in a frame of mind suited to critical thinking. This movie, and all the amazing scenes within, simply are.
If I were to put why I like Stand By Me after all these years into words, other than simply "nostalgia", it would be that Stand By Me somehow makes me long for my childhood. Not because of nostalgia (well, not only because of nostalgia), but because it makes me remember the dynamic I had with my childhood friends.
My childhood friendships were nothing like those in Stand By Me. In truth, I was far closer to Stand By Me in my adulthood friendships than childhood. But Stand By Me still conjures the memories of childhood friendship, different from the film as they may be.
I think it is a particularly powerful thing for a film to instill a sense of nostalgia for childhood friendships, whether those friendships resembled those displayed in the film or not. I didn't need to have a friend like Chris Chambers or Teddy DuChamp to feel what Stand By Me wanted me to feel. It's universal and timeless.
That is all I could possibly say about Stand By Me, a movie that shaped my childhood - and therefore my life - more than perhaps any other movie. It's not a deep analysis of the characters or themes, but it's how it affected me as a person. Stand By Me isn't the most quotable film out there, but it built me into the person I am and will be forever.

2023.06.03 11:56 Competitive-Pick-673 What we didn't notice in AvA 6? part 4

We ended up at the moment where the gang jumps into the hole.
P.S. In this part there will be our new stickmans. Here are their names:
CGP Gray- a stickman with glasses.
Sign- a stickman of toilet signs.
Pixel- pixel stickman.
Cave- a stickman similar to ancient drawings.
Continue...
We are immediately transported to the place of the hole in the sky. TCO emerges from it, still subtracting. He notices those riders who are either looking for him or wanted to discuss something. (By the way, Sign is the only one who moved in a flying transport. ) TCO has failed again. Then TSC's hands appear, and then his head. He notices them too. Then TCO looks at him and takes his hand, and then flies away, using his left hand to create fire. And he does it. And when he got stuck again, a rainbow gang fell out of the hole. Then he accelerated. And after flying over the riders, they notice him. And he, in turn, waves his hand at them. (After that, I had a question. What was between them before these events that he gives himself away like that? ) Then SPZ Gray showed to follow him. They started chasing him. (In the background, you can see the crater that TSC left. I also noticed that the forest is further from the house.) TCO decides to fly to the clearing. (She looks rather strange. A smooth circle without a single tree. ) Having flown up, he stops flying and immediately flies into the greenery. The riders noticed where he stopped, and CGP Gray gives the command to land. (He's probably the main one giving out commands to everyone. ) They flew by train. The first was Pixel. Behind him is the Cave. Behind him is CGP Gray. And the last one was Sign. But when they land, the order is changed to: 1: CGP Gray 2: Sign 3: Cave 4: Pixel. Their landing is noticed by TSC and TCO. The first one gets out of the transport is a stickman with glasses (CGP Gray), and takes out a weapon with paralyzed cartridges from a drawer under the seat. Then we see the Animate interface on his hand. There were 7 tools visible (Selection, Lasso, Free Transformation, Line, Eraser, Rectangle, Scale.) And a pause icon. He starts with the first tool and somehow moves it up to the "Scale" Tool. (When he selects, holograms of the tool that is highlighted appear above the interface.) Then Sign lands. And when he gets out of the flying machine, I laughed. He has the strangest animation. Then Cave comes out. After warming up a little, he takes out a bow and 2 arrows from his back (or from himself). The last Pixel comes out. He had already drawn his weapon. And after charging, he either had a mouth, or it's like with mechanical spheres. (When the "mouth" appeared, pixel steam was coming out of it.) Then we are switched to TCO and TSC. They first look at the riders, and then crouching down, TCO shows him to fight them. To which TSC refuses. Then he holds him by the shoulder and throws him out of the bushes. And he hid himself. (And the sound was very funny.) The riders notice the TSC and set their sights on it. He waved his hand in turn. Then CGP Gray uses an instinct. The standard was 150%. After the increase in TSC became 200%. And noticing the TCO and bringing it closer became 350%. Then they started shooting. He, in turn, could dodge. Then it hits a tree. the same stunner, and a spark appears. He decides that it is most dangerous for him, he grabs the TSC, and they fly away. Then CGP Gray selects "Scale" again. (Why, if he has already chosen it. It's unclear.) Then he puts it on his glasses. (And then you can understand that the glasses are somehow connected with his powers.) He makes 3 shots. And as always, the last one will be decisive. He gets into the hand where he created the fire. And after spinning a little, this thing still paralyzed TCO. So much so that he couldn't stand up during the fight. And after landing, (in a rather strange way) a pencil falls out of the TSC. He took it and protected TCO.
The last part will be the final one!

2023.06.03 11:14 blue01sky Update and experiences Luba, personal error analysis

Update and experiences Luba, personal error analysis
My ticket content to Mammotion support Ladies and Gentlemen After the last two updates to the current version 1.8.2.220, the following problems occur with my Luba 5000. 1. If existing mowing limits are re-edited, the saved limit does not match the limit that is automatically followed afterwards. Luba goes at least about 20 cm beyond it or adds non-existing surfaces. Depending on the set cutting angle, the limit crossing shifts. For areas that were created before the update, the border crossing is okay. 2. The positioning is now more sensitive, so Luba now also stops in places where he used to mow continuously, since the precision display very often jumps to bad or then remains on the "bad" status, although all other displays jumped back to "fine" a long time ago. 3. The Luba then seems to switch itself off as a result of these long pauses in mowing. This means that no area to be mowed is finished. You have to manually reactivate Luba and bring it to the charging station. Since my property is on a slope, the shutdown creates another problem. After switching off, it now rolls away from its holding position in an undefined manner! As a result, yesterday it rolled down a steep embankment for me, resulting in further scratches and grooves on the housing and damaged plants. 4. If Luba has to drive to the charging station during mowing without an intermediate shutdown because intermediate charging is necessary for the active task, then the mowing task is done because Luba "forgot" the processing status when docking. So I have a mown and an unmown piece in each area. When restarting the mowing task, I cannot influence the starting point and it starts again at the same place. It then drives diagonally through the area once and then starts over from the same point. During the screenshot of all image sections of the app, Luba did not mow! The view of the sky was clear. Picture with Luba on the meadow. 5. Despite an overlap of 15 cm or a mowing width of 25 cm, poorly mowed strips of grass remain standing. Tracks are also completely forgotten?! (Picture) 6. The tuning of the 4-wheel drive should be refined. Since one or 2 wheels often do not turn when correcting the route, the lawn or ground is torn up. (see video) As a result, it can also happen that a stick or bush trunk gets between the dumper and the housing, since Luba shifts sideways due to the "one-sided" path correction! The same occurs when correcting slopes, Luba also slips here! I then had to free Luba manually. 7. If I want to create a new corridor to a neighboring area, then I should delete the existing one first. However, this does not work even though the mower is on it. The path is not visible in the app and cannot be selected? 8. The approach and positioning of the Liba in front of the charging station should be stored variably in the algorithm. The currently fixed donut position ensures the destruction of the lawn! (Picture) How do you intend to remedy this as quickly as possible, since my Luba is not doing its job or is only doing it to a limited extent under supervision and repeated intervention?
Best regards

2023.06.03 11:11 Celestialsmoothie28 [Lyrics] Soul Car

Life's ocean I'm tired of swimming
Eternity I wish to climb your mountain
Oblivion can I smoke your trees
Infinity will you make love to me?
Death how will our marriage me?
Sorry reality but I'm forever phony
In life I've been running
My feet is aching
Tired but got limited responsibilities
Escapism is my specialty
For ten years I fell in love with fantasy
Now on reality I'm in a relationship with misery
Funny how I crave for company
Talking to myself is therapy
Stagnant but my flower is beautiful in a strange way
I will never bloom on life's freeway
I crashed so many times
No tow trucks for the mind
My hearts transmission is always slipping
No Lucas oil motivation
So many self help auto zones
But giving up so fast I'm prone
Even though I'm full on gas
I wanna be shaw shank free at last
Eternity will you build me a new engine?
Better tires I'm dreaming
My life battery will always need a jump
When will it ever be enough?
Trying to tell the Earth's mechanics
I can't stand it
Dealerships not understanding
Payments I'm still making
Reality pulling me over sometimes
Tickets flooding my mind
Soul impounded
Spirit I can't pay for it
Loans too expensive
Working hard for a better running vehicle I'm too apprehensive
What if my headlight bulbs blow out?
I rather tap out
Still I turn on the ignition
My keys know I lack motivation
My rims are bent but I'm still driving
Somehow brights keep showing
My brakes keep working
Even though my pads is thining
Hazard lights came on but been off for some time
Steering wheel telling me I'm fine
Air conditioner and my heater keep blowing
Feeling okay when I'm reversing
But when I switch gears
I ride in so much fear
Even though I got insurance
Lack the assurance
Life's license never suspended
Road test i never ace it
Smog test always comes
Wondering when my vehicle's spirit will ever succumb?
Windshield cracked feeling numb
Getting it repaired seems dumb
At least the window regulators roll down
Blessed I can at least make it to the next town
Alternator and starter keeps functioning
Current car is dead still it's running
Life's seat I rather not feel
Jesus Christ please take the wheel

2023.06.03 10:51 Aidlin87 I just put a ton of effort into planning a first birthday for my baby and now I’m sick with strep and have to cancel. Family also being mildly shitty

It’s been my first chance in ages to be creative (I’ve got three kids and no hobbies anymore) and I’ve had so much fun and put in so much effort. I went all out on the decor doing DYI stuff to keep it affordable. Not bragging, but I started on everything weeks ago and it looks amazing. I did a girly, floral, storybook woodland theme. There’s a floral arch over the cake table. I cut down a small tree from our backyard (a bubblegum tree we were going to remove anyway) stripped the leaves off and attached spring, faux greenery. I cut paper watercolor woodland animals and mounted them throughout the tree. I created a swarm of paper watercolor butterflies flying across the wall. I was going to make the cake today and I had bought these cute with mushroom and snail fondant toppers, plus edible waffle paper butterflies. Like I put in some serious effort.
I also just bought $300 of food I was going to prepare tomorrow. Family came in town from out of state.
And now I have what feels like strep throat.
The party is tomorrow, the weather was supposed to be perfect (it’s a large party so most people will be outdoors). There’s no way I can salvage this, I have to reschedule. But I also know that means a fair chunk of the guest list will not be able to attend the new date, because it’s summer and people are busy.
I’m heartbroken, and so pissed that the perishable foods will likely go to waste unless by some miracle the stars align for the party to only be postponed a week. I can donate, but that’s lost money and I was trying to stay in budget… I’m going to feel terrible spending that money again because we didn’t budget for having to buy it — again.
And the frosting on the shit cake is my family being mildly shitty. Now I had planned on just me doing all of the prep, all the decor, all the food. I could have done it all in the time I had left. I’m the one that chose to host a large party with elaborate details, I’m not trying to drag others into unpaid labor. I’m not expecting help. But I would like help on the day of because it’s a form of love between close family members. I would absolutely do the same for them, I would be volunteering the minute I knew they were party planning.
I was told “I’m not a morning person” when I asked my sister if she wanted to help and my mom just flat out ignored the question. My husband chastised me for expecting anything different from them, thanks for the compassion. They aren’t narcissists, and are generally good people however very aloof, socially/emotionally unavailable in some ways, and hard to be close with. I wish I had a tight knit family and I just don’t and this situation is highlighting that lack in my life, which is why it feels so big to me.
Thank you for coming to my 4am pity party, I’ll be spending the rest my day sick, very sleep deprived, and alone with 3 kids since my husband has to work and my family won’t really give a fuck.

2023.06.03 10:50 Illustrious-Oil4293 Continuation of the story.

Hey guys. Here is a continuation of what I was writing. Sorry for the formatting, just typing it out in my notes and copy and pasting here.
Our story begins with our friend Jackie Chan and soon to be an unknowingly hero of the people as he journeys through a Bavarian jungle towing with him a group of people, a scholar and exhibitionists who would seek out a treasure to gain fame and attention from the world, either in academia or media attention, to announce to the world and peers that they broke through the many traps that the castle says to contain. Trudging through this weary jungle comes along the castle they seek, our friend Jackie, a lean individual, unassuming and gentle hearted who is deceptively athletic and studies and practices martial arts, continues his journey into the castle. "The mad king Ludwig would invite many guest into the castle but would fall victim to many of its deadly traps" says the scholar "Rude..." an exhibitionist joins in saying. "That's why his name was not Lovable Ludwig or good neighbor of Bavaria - Huh, stand back..." says Jackie. Jackie stops dead in his tracks with his group to follow, well enough light pours into the castle that would lead unbeknownst treasure seekers to rummage the castle recklessly to fall victim to its many traps, with nothing a stir and everything quiet, Jackie finds this to be too eerie and finds in their way a wire, though invisible to those who enter the castle, not invisible to Jackie as his fine tuned senses crafted by his self-discipline and with a sensible sharp mind are at work, lowers himself with aerosol can in hand and makes visible the invisible wire. "What are the odds that these traps still-..." remarks one of the men. Jackie motions over to the exhibitionist and grabbed his hat to drop on the wire, suddenly two walls collide into each other this time only in succeeding in killing a hat. Loud clicking noises and rumblings of the walls suggest that the mechanism for the trap is resetting and moments later the two walls come apart leaving the invisible wire intact waiting for its next victim. The exhibitionist stares in disbelief by the sudden closing and opening wall of death and has his jaw left gaped opened by his astonishment that he nearly just died was closed by Jackie and motions forward leaving an air of unspoken reason that following Jackie's lead may keep them alive. Following hallways left and right leading to a room with pictographs and decorations of stone statues, against the far wall has a human skull that Jackie handles to find a handle that releases the door. Looks of triumph that he beat the castles traps and looks of shock and excitement on the group, Jackie has found the treasure room. As the door rises revealing the treasure room, light pours into the room and Jackie leads forward to light torches along the wall and once was a dimly lit room is now glowing brilliantly with gold, gold coins, golden assortments from goblets to swords, gems and expensive stones covering the floor and piled high. "Ludwig's lost treasure..." remarks the scholar. "I'm sure that the booty is booby-trapped so don't-...." begins Jackie to everyone. With blind enthusiasm, the would be still alive exhibitionist runs towards the treasure picking up a golden sword hilted in rubies, sapphires and emeralds, then the room and door begin to convulse violently, another trap! As quickly as the room begins to rumble and the door jerks downward threatening to close them inside, Jackie kicks up a spear into the air and with a spin through the air, kicks it toward the closing door jamming it open as Jackie shouts "Go! Go! Go!". Motioning everyone out, everyone in a panic stricken run, all begin towards the door until Jackie finds himself running into the door when the spear snaps finding himself alone as the group escaped. Moments later an arrow shoots across Jackie's face and launches himself backwards as arrows after arrows begin ejecting themselves from the walls that would kill any person or persons who gets this far; yelping out the words "bad day! bad day! bad day!" Staggering backwards and leaping into the air, above these arrows, ducking more, spinning mid jump over treasures, in a leap lands over a golden shield emblazoned with some chicken scratch, begins to deflect arrows left and right cornering Jackie. Jackie in danger of never being seen again, looks up, a hole in the wall, Jackie wall jumps into a sliding tunnel and in a panic places the shield under himself to ride the shield down the trail and finally bursting out of the castle and within view the group is spotted to have also exited the castle, with Jackie landing and coming to a stop on the shield sliding on the ground, "Snowboarding works better with snow" says Jackie, relieved for everyone to have made it out alive. From a distance, strange men observing Jackie with binoculars, the seemingly men to appear to be the leaders issuing an order to their men. "Follow him..." "Follow him..."
Jackie returns from his trip to Bavaria to his home in San Francisco. Jackie resides in his uncle's two story antique shop, "Uncle's Rare Finds". In his room we carry on as Jackie blow by blow, ebbs and flows, as he strikes a dummy. In his studio room for his training displays a number of photographs, taken at events or jobs he was hired on to take people on exhibitions, there in all his photographs is a man who never has trouble finding his smile in all of them either as a leader or competitor. Jackie with another day of training in, is summoned by his uncle with the clattering of a bell. Jackie's uncle is a fairly old man, in his signature bright yellow vest, glasses, gray standing hair and his garlic and mung bean smell, that originates by his consumption of garlic and mung beans that he always believes is good for you. From the second story calls out to his uncle, "What is it Uncle?". "Come, give Uncle a hug", Jackie jumps over the railing and effortlessly twist in mid air to land and give uncle a hug, SMACK, Jackie was just struck over the head by Uncle's strong fingers that he uses to scold. "Ow!" Jackie yelps. "You did not make coffee this morning, coffee is the only thing keeping Uncle's ancient heart beating, you want dead uncle? No? Then you make coffee" "Ok" replies Jackie "One more thing" uncle begins again, "You received phone call from the University, they want you to translate parchments" "Ok" replies Jackie "One more thing" Uncle continues before Jackie begins his work, Uncle examines the newly brought in golden shield, talking out loud with his thoughts of the ancient chicken scratch on the shield with an odd encrusted pewter center with a rooster emblazoned on it, "I cannot translate inscriptions, very old writing, I must reference my journals." "Ok" replies Jackie "One more thing" Uncle continues "This is Jade, your niece, she will live with you for a year? Ok?" Jackie with no second thought on his list of instructions from Uncle, "ok" Taken back, Jackie exclaims "I have a niece?" Now discovering the child in plain view by the entrance as she wears a scowl under her black hair that spikes downwards with her arms folded. Uncle explains, "Your cousin Shin's girl from Hong Kong, Jade is not behaving well there, doing poorly in school, your cousin thinks she will do better with you" "Nobody asked me" exclaims Jackie. "Did not want to bother you" Uncle coolly states, then sends Jackie to tackle his new instructions. Jackie nervously chuckles, "Hello, I am Jackie". Jade, stiff as a statue, continues her scowling and looks with contempt for being in this dibilated antique shop. "No English?" Jackie tries another greeting, "Ne Ho Ma-...." Three men enters the shop. Jackie welcomes the new customers and begins exercising his retail sales abilities, as Jackie also helps Uncle in his Rare Finds shop as a salesman. "You're Jackie Chan, the archeologist?" Asks one of the three men. "Oh, I dabble in the study of past civilizations" replies Jackie. "Well, we are aware that you recently dabbled a shield from a Bavarian Castle, our extremely wealthy employer is interested in purchasing the shield"
Jackie seeing this is not the regular customer Uncle's Rare Finds usually receives, wearing a 70's style white suit, all red blazing combed back slick hair and seems to be having trouble clearing his sinuses and seems a bit on edge. His two companions, just as unremarkable and out of the ordinary among usual customers, one quite tall and burly, sporting a wrinkled black jacket, red tie and white shirt with dress shoes that could do with some polishing, Jackie faintly smells alcohol from where he stood and the other, short but stands tall with his bright orange sunglasses and leather coat suggest he may kick you up side along the head at the wrong moment.
Jackie with great suspicions, "I'm sorry, I have already donated that piece to the university" "Really...?" The man in red and white nods to the others behind him to send a small message, pokes out his wild swinging hand and pokes out a finger to drive an antique to the floor but unable to shoot straight misses with a hurried "whoops", tries again, sending two antiques rolling to the floor! Jackie thoroughly shocked, dives across the floor coming to a roll right under the falling antiques and catches them on his back - the shorter of the men with a smirk on his face sends flying an antique, but in a flash Jackie sends off a cushion from a nearby seat, throwing the two in hand and with a bounce with the cushion, Jackie runs forward to catch all three antiques in a snap, antiques in hand, puts them down safely and takes a seat with a smile. Looks of horror and awestruck coves over the three, as well as Jade, whose left speechless of his Uncle's ability, just stood standing in place. "It would be in your family's best interest to undonate the shield, Mr. Chan... places hand over Jades head by this time tomorrow", the three exit without another word. Uncle walks in "did they buy anything?" "No" Jackie answers "You are a terrible salesman!" "Watch the girl and hide the shield" Jackie instructs. "Where am I going to hide a big shield? sputters on where did I put the shield?" Uncle continues on as Jackie exited to follow the men and unknown to Uncle, so did Jade.
Jackie exiting Uncle's Rare Finds finding the vehicle leaving, quick and light on his feet, leaps for the fire escape of the building, leaping gracefully and the mastery of his body to do so, clambers onto balconies and shop signs onto a roof catching up to the vehicle. Running along side the vehicle, Jackie peers in, the man in red and white is hunched over and takes a great deep inhale, crushed powder in forms of lines on a plate is visible to Jackie. The wrinkled out suit man is also clambering with something in hand, Jackie is catching up as the vehicle comes to a stop, running to the ledge, down gutter pipes, SNAP, the pipes snatch free from the wall sending Jackie down BANG. Wrinkled out suit man chokes on the contents of his flask and sputters, finding his breath and the man in red and white being seen hiding his plate and all three wordless, Jackie continues innocently, "That will buff right out" pointing at the ding he has caused as if it's the only problem there. Angry, the gas petal is floored with Jackie and gutter still on top, coming onto and off side walks sending people wildly running in all directions to come to a sudden stop at a fenced playground. The three exit to introduce themselves more physically to Jackie, launches themselves at him. Jackie pulls back from attack, dishes one of his own with the gutter sending them away, Jackie jumps and rolls into the sunroof of the window, the men, SLAMMED by the doors that Jackie kicks open, ejects himself from the vehicle, musters up his strength and leaps over the fench, rolls to a stop, sitting upright begins to mock the men, "Nya Nya!" The three men remain to be unknown to Jackie, had not even realized they were watching him in Bavaria nor did he know that they're extremely wealthy employer has equipped them with military grade electric rods, these men were The Enforcers. The Enforcers leap forward with their electrified rods, melting the fence and sending Jackie backwards. As agile Jackie is, he swerves, ducks, rotates and spins, comes to a semi truck and takes the windshield wipers with him, coming to a landing with a flourish of the wipers in a stance that says I'm ready. With a chuckle of the Enforcers, Tap! Tap! Jackie has struck two over the hands, disarming them and kicked another away. Running off to the still occupied playground, Jackie yells out "No more playtime, Go! Go!". Children running and the enforcers come around, on the right slow going, Jackie kicks a tether ball right around to the man in the wrinkled out suit face and almost lazily falls over. Jackie looks up and finds another lunging from a nearby jungle gym, Jackie kicks and with a loud CRACK, finding a broken nose "that's where I put my drugs!". The third, short yet strong, comes to spare with Jackie, jabbing in and out, showing signs that he learned martial arts is swept backwards onto a rocking horse and sits down dazed and defeated. The other two continues still, after Jackie, they are led to a swing set, "Oh hey! - what the --" Jackie has tangled them together in the swings, stuck together now Jackie jumps onto a jungle gym with continually readiness. "Wow!" Says one "Let's get out of here" says another. The enforcers make a run for it, watching them run, leaps down to discover Jade has followed him, taken aback, "Jade?" We have another man appear from behind and with a weapon that released a gas, renders Jackie unconscious.
"Now he's coming too" remarks the men inside the van Jackie finds himself in, is saying. Jackie opens his eyes, "Aaahhh! Agustus Black!" Jackie opens his eyes and finds a familiar face with the others left in confusion, "hmmm?" Jackie continues "What are you doing here? Ow, what am I doing here?" "I'm afraid its official business, Jackie. Replies Black. "Where have you been? I don't hear from you for six years, BOOM, you're in San Francisco saving me from those thugs" "Jackie, I knocked you out" explains Black. Jackie outraged, the van stops to a screech, Jackie exits. "Why did you do that?" Jackie continues. "Jackie--" Black beckons "I thought we were friends" "We are, Jackie." Replies Black. "I'm sorry but this location must be kept a secret. "Oh, yes, I can see this is some very special garbage, maybe I will see you in another six years" "Jackie--" Black stammers Excuse me, while I call a cab" "Jackie--" Black calls out. Jackie turns to a lone telephone booth amongst the garbage. Enters. Jackie dials, "Oh?" With a sudden jerk, the telephone booth is swallowed by the wall and in a rush Jackie screaming for dear life, the booth is fast tracked along a corridor to a halt and let's out a sigh of relief but without warning it drops. Screaming once again trying to keep himself centered, DING! the booth landed, doors open with Jackie plopping out. "Tried to warn you" Black states. "How did you get down here?" "The stairs... Follow me." "Jackie, Welcome to Section 13." Leading Jackie in, Black shows him around. "I thought you were with interpol" "Even with them I was shepherding this agency in secret" answers Black. "You're a spy?... are they spies too?" "Law Enforcement, Jackie, Elite Special Forces." "So why give me the big tour?" Asks Jackie. "We are aware you've recently acquired an artifact in Bavaria" explains Black. "Why does everyone know that?" Jackie continues, "You are the second one to ask about the shield today" "I was afraid of that" Black leads Jackie to a terminal.
