2023.06.03 12:56 SaturnicBlue How to not let your past mistakes haunt you?
First time posting on this sub. I struggle with mental health for a long time but I’m functioning in general, I got quiet type bpd and have some ocd tendencies.
Currently on a streak of self improvement and healing, baby steps but there’s some small progress and I’m happy about it. Sadly though, thinking of and about my past mistakes, big and small, really haunts me. Having bpd I acted on poor impulse control in the past and I regret it massively. It’s why I’m trying to get better so I don’t hurt myself or others anymore by acting out. However, knowing I did what I did in the past still hurts, knowing I can’t change or erase what happened. I learned a painful lesson from it but it still keeps me ruminating in a, what I perceive as, unhealthy way.
I was curious how some of you brave and strong people have managed to overcome this or even just mitigate it? As I think it really stops me from getting better. It kicks me into a spiral where I feel like I’m the worst human ever and don’t deserve anything good, which then makes me lose all motivation to heal.
I know this might sound confusing but any input on this is welcome.

2023.06.03 12:54 rexadelly Fun Little Conspiracy
Spoilers? The absurdity of it, but hear me out. Yoly immediately doesn't like Vanessa. V's little comment towards Mal right away did all the damage. Yoly, from that moment, decides she is going to mess V's shit up. Baby Lexi gets simpatico with Mama Yoly's mission, once The Date In Which Vanessa Becomes The Villain occurs. Lexi, self proclaimed "mature person" is actually putty in a fully realized adult's hands; all Yoly has to do is entertain Lexi's rants against Vanessa (which had to be happening frequently, because she could not shut up about it, obsessed, once she had a scent she went rabid... later shown in her alienating Mal, verbally attacking Vanessa, and berating Rae over the same issue). Nothing bonds people faster than a common dislike for another person! Minion obtained, Lexi agrees to safely (read: sexless-ly) "marry" Yoly's partner, so Yoly can "marry" Vanessa's partner. Cue Yoly having goo-goo eyes and lots of sex with Xander, while instigating and participating in some major sl*t shaming and bullying towards V for having a casually intimate time with Rae, A CONSENTING ADULT. Yoly probs got excited as hell once Lexi started melting down about The Fingering.
Anyways, this paints Yoly as kind of a dirt bag, but the editing of the show gives me this. Thought some might find it entertaining, if, like me, you aren't buying that she's innocent in all of the mess. Or that Vanessa is evil because she's a fledgling poly, or that Lexi is mature because she can call bullshit (and never EVER let it go.)
In conclusion, Mal and Sam should have given things a go, but they were thwarted that opportunity by an absolute MASTERMIND home wrecker revenge plot. Too bad it backfired and Yoly fell for Xander being "romantic" with the house chores or whatever. What does that even MEAN???

There is no reason for them to post this except for cashing in on views. She has put together the statistically best selling elements, Tanner bare chested and the baby being very cute. All they need is a little puppy to finish it off. Not sure if I am saying what I mean. It’s just sickening at times the way they pimp out this baby and even her husband. It’s like “reality tv” which is not real at all. It’s what sells, but I wouldn’t ever sell my family like that. 2023.06.03 12:51 Cute-Significance177 Bonding with second child
When I had my first child 9.5 years ago I dont remember an immediate bond developing. Sure, I felt a sense of care and affection for the baby which eventually developed into a parent/child bond, although I couldn't pinpoint when.
Fast forward to now I just had my second child. The experience feels similar enough, although I care for the baby it's nothing like the bond I have with my 9 year old. I just feel like I'm caring for a cute and demanding baby, that has through now fault of his removed me from my life with my older child (who as I said is 9 and doesn't exactly need me all that much).
I kind of thought it being my second it would just come naturally, seeing as i know what it's like this time around. But how will it ever compare to what I feel for my 9 year old, who I've been through so much with (he used to have a severe speech delay so a few years of his life were spent in intense worry, I separated from his dad when he was 5, plus I had him quite young so he's been there pretty much my whole adult life).
Sorry for long post. It's only been a week since I had my second son and I just feel so lonely.

2023.06.03 12:48 puzzlethread The pink piece of yarn I keep seeing.
I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit to post on but here goes. I keep seeing this short piece of frayed baby pink yarn…. Everywhere. I first saw it out back of my job in Indianapolis. It was rainy and windy. I wondered where it came from. Then, while doing my laundry, I glanced down at a random spot on the floor, there it was, the exact same piece of yarn. Since then I’ve moved back to my hometown with my parents about 2 hours away from Indy, and I just saw it again.
I don’t own any piece of furniture or clothing this color. When I last saw it, I was just about to move away from Indy and I was scared. I didn’t know if I was doing the right thing. When I saw the pink yarn I got a sense of curiosity and peace- Like ‘I don’t know what this means but I like it, it feels safe’
I’m about to move 16 hours away and I just glanced down, and there it was again. Randomly, in the middle of my floor. I’ve been living in this place for a year, I’ve never seen it. I don’t know what this means; but last time I took it as a sign that I was doing the right thing.

2023.06.03 12:46 Calyboo Expected Babysitter
Husband has 2 kids from previous marriage, SD6 and SS4. We have a baby together. SK live with their mom most of the time but we get them for part of the summer. DH "asked" if it would work to have them on one of my days off, and all three of his days off, every other week. I told him I do not want them on my day off because I need to make sure I get good rest my last day off before work, and also I have told him before I am not a babysitter.
He got mad at me over this and proceeded to make me feel guilty for saying no. Essentially that I wasn't being a good partner for not helping him out.

Why does my drinking Bud Light offend you?

By Mike DiMauro
Day Assistant Sports Editor
News item: Anthony Bass, a pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, shared a video Monday via Instagram endorsing an anti-LGBTQ boycott of brands such as Target and Bud Light.
"Here's the reason biblically why I believe Christians have gotta be boycotting Target, Bud Light, and any other corporation that's pushing the things they're pushing,” Bass said. “I think a lot of people make this into a political issue, or they say, 'Oh, what's the big deal?’
“This is evil, this is demonic, we won't stand for it, we're not going to go to the stores anymore and we're not going to give you our money.”
It would be impolite to wish that Mr. Bass, who throws a ball for a living, blows out his elbow. Perhaps then he could simply blow it out his tailpipe.
Because I’ve grown tired of sanctimonious and hypocritical moral outrage over what Target and Bud Light are “pushing,” while it’s permissible that Bass and his ilk get to “push” their beliefs on the rest of us.
Example: In the last two months or so, I’ve been questioned a half dozen times in public as to why I’m drinking Bud Light. Seems people like Bass have objected to Anheuser Busch’s marketing partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Their boycott of Bud Light has led to a decrease in sales both locally and nationally. (Local bar and restaurant owners say Bud Light sales are down almost 30 percent.)
It is their right, of course, to boycott the product. I’m just curious as to why what I’m drinking is their business. I drink Bud Light because I like it. And I’m still drinking Bud Light because I will not marginalize people based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. I’m respectful enough to support someone else’s desire to evolve into another gender. And I’m not stupid enough to believe that my decision to drink Bud Light changes who I am or what I stand for in any possible way.
But I wonder why it’s so important for people — and the questions to me haven’t all come from men — to announce their disdain for a bottle of beer, tacitly implying their sexuality is “normal.” Remember this one and write it down: If you are truly comfortable with who you are, you needn’t announce anything to anyone.
And yet to further illustrate how screwed up this country really is, there’s this: Anheuser-Busch hasn’t merely been accused of alienating its traditional customer base with the partnership, but some LGBTQ+ campaigners have also criticized the company for not defending its ties with Mulvaney.
Amid all the finger-pointing and fear-fanning, the truth hides in the corner, too scared to emerge. The truth is that we are supposed to think critically, weigh evidence from both sides and then make up our own minds. Instead, we’ve become a country hell bent on legislating whatever cause we think is right and just, while burying the other side from all consideration.
It’s political tribalism. All or nothing. One side or the other. If you’re not in agreement with every morsel of the transgender movement, you are a snarling, hating, infidel. If you’re not in total agreement with Anthony Bass and his beliefs, you’re going to wither in hell.
But what if — and hold on to your ascots here — two conflicting positions can still be true? Example: What if I support Bud Light’s decision to use a transgender influencer, but also believe that transgender high school athletes belong in their own division?
I disagree with the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference’s policy complying with a state law that requires all high school students be treated according to their gender identity. We should consider a sports-centric law that acknowledges sports' unique challenges and accommodates the physical component for success that exists virtually nowhere else in society.
Sex discrimination in education, health care, housing and financial credit have no place in this country. But we must — must — realize and accept that sports require a physical component to succeed that calls for different guidelines.
Put it this way: Applying to a school or for health care, housing or financial credit requires no physical component to succeed. Sports require speed, strength and agility and do not fit under the same umbrella. And yet sports are routinely shoved into the same arguments about unfair treatment. Injustices get piled on for rhetorical usefulness, even though they're not applicable.
The male born composition has inherent physical advantages, rare exceptions noted. But in the aggregate, there are physiologic differences between biological males and females. I don’t believe writing that makes me transphobic. We should respect a person’s pronoun of choice. But that doesn't mean we have to blindly agree with claims that are not supported by science.
Yet that appears to be the new end game in this country. Blind agreement. Their side or yours. And here I sit, sipping my Bud Light, trying to figure out why so many of us act like the last three letters of Anthony Bass’ last name.
This is the opinion of Day sports columnist Mike DiMauro

This article pretty much sums up exactly how I feel about the situation. Bud Light basically sent someone a can with her image celebrating a milestone. The fact it turned the beer into enemy number one doesn’t surprise me considering the vitriol that has become commonplace in our country. I have had plenty of private messages regarding a video I posted supporting a beer, and more importantly a human being. Most have been vehemently against my support of both and relish the chance to send me a screen shot of Bud Lights stock on a daily basis with a “Go woke, Go broke” ending. I believe much of the vitriol comes from news and talk radio which is why Spotify now fills my vehicle with music instead of talk. I ask everyone to limit their news intake to 30 minutes per day regardless of your party affiliation to center your life. Sometimes my radio will land on a “news station”, and I can feel my blood pressure rise as the most divisive topic of the day is being discussed with a majority of the facts not being considered. I am not recommending folks to ignore what’s happening in our world, but would point out that our country has survived many decades without the need for “up to the second” news reports. Most of the things we worry about will never happen and it seems our country is living in a constant state of fear which is certainly to blame for the vitriol. There will never be a point where everyone in the country will collectively say we are all happy with everything, but I still have a deep believe that with constructive conversations and true empathy we can get us close. When I get my boat in the water I would love to have an ice cold Bud Light while listening to my relaxing boat playlist, and of course talking with my favorite sports writer. That’s an invitation Mike. Great article.

“Bud Light sales are down between 26% and 35% nationwide additionally Budweiser and other AB brands (Michelob Ultra, Busch Light and Natural Light to name a few) have also taken a hit of around 11%.”
All the more reason to explain what set this off. Completely unhinged.
“My take, buy Coors stock now”
And that statement reinforces my point since Coors has been a decades long supporter of LGBT rights probably the biggest supporter (it all began with a workegay alliance boycott ironically… or not)
“Coors Light has been a sponsor of The Center and Denver PrideFest for decades,” says Rex Fuller, CEO of The Center on Colfax. “The work we have been able to do at The Center over the last four decades would not be possible without this support and we are grateful for it.”
Beyond supporting Denver PrideFest, Molson Coors has a distinguished history of supporting LGBTQ communities across the country, with significant support for organizations such as Human Rights Campaign (HRC), Matthew Shepard Foundation, National Amateur Gay Athletics Association of America, National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, LGBT Victory Institute, Out & Equal, and One Colorado.
In addition to these partners, Molson Coors works with local LGBTQ organizations in key communities through its Tap Into Change program. Annually, the summer program donates more than $100,000 to these organizations with a consistent growth in impact each year. Events take place in each city to help raise additional funds, awareness, and support for the missions of these local organizations. Over the past 10 years, Tap Into Change has raised nearly $600,000 for local LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS nonprofits. https://denverpride.org/coors-light-supports-the-lgbtq-community/
This is even though like 2006, 2010 and 2014 they had to go through boycotts for this. And they did shrink back in response, but also came right back and didn’t move backwards for long.
And what will I do?
Continue drinking Corona because I drink what I drink.
It’s damn near impossible to do a successful boycott long term. The web of corporate connections means when you think you’re hurting one, it’s actually benefitting another one connected to it.
The beverage brand that owns Budweiser, Corona, and Stella Artois, is suing US beer-maker Constellation Brands for using the Corona brand name in a hard seltzer, according to a lawsuit filed Monday.
Beverage giant Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) acquired Corona’s parent company, Grupo Modelo, in 2013, but US antitrust regulators required it to sell the company’s US-based business to Constellation. AB InBev retained rights to the products in other markets, and the deal gave Constellation the rights to produce Corona and other Modelo brands in the US.

Bud Light sales are down between 26% and 35% nationwide additionally Budweiser and other AB brands (Michelob Ultra, Busch Light and Natural Light to name a few) have also taken a hit of around 11%. Bud Light has been the best selling beer in the USA for over 20 years and the normal volume of sales is 27 million barrels a year or 1134 million gallons. A 30% drop equals a loss of 340 million gallons a year. My take, buy Coors stock now

Do people realize that Bud Light sent a pack of specially made cans with the person’s face on it and did a minute long or so bit released on like TicTok? It wasn’t some big nationwide PR campaign yet it rubbed someone the wrong way (or so they would like us to think) and it snowballed into this.
I don’t ever want to hear about people calling “the libs” snowflakes or use their center liberal stances as a weakness. These champions of “conservatives” are gullible whiny babies.
I watched in real time a bunch of idiots blow something up out of nothing and then saw them flocking to the internet people with their influencer pages and podcasts and publications where immediately they were being hawked “anti-woke” beer and all these other wares, often made by the same places they are boycotting for double the price.
There is a whole market opening up to people that will only get their businesses off the ground (temporarily for a quick cash grab) by using these outrage tactics and capitalizing (literally) on impaired brains that as Mr. DiMauro correctly observed “Blind agreement. Their side or yours”

For me… Bud Light as a “beer” sucks. I would rather support local breweries that provide far better beers. As far as this column… as far as AB selecting this influencer in their campaign I have no opinion on it or that person. Up to each to decide for themselves.
Regarding this column actually Mike what you are writing is basically the same as the boycott and the changes in attitudes (political divide) of the country. Often used by politicians on BOTH sides of the aisle screaming to be open, defending one´s right to choose, freedom of speech etc.. and this is the most important part..”unless it does not validate their opinion or view”. This is exactly what you are writing. So if someone elects to boycott something and we know the WOKE police and Leftists enjoy not only condemning opposing viewpoints to the point of boycotting, attacking employers for the “views” of their employees etc… and demanding they be removed from the position their are in. So if someone boycotts something let them… I would ask you… why does it offend you that others are using their constitutional right by boycotting (freedom of speech). I always respect other´s opinions and even when we do not agree. Sadly we live in a world where people are afraid to speak up due to the potential ramifications. None of us will always agree and I know the powers to be are trying to “force” us to all be uniform in our opinions which is sad. And btw Bud Light is terrible anyway… How about you focus on sports.

However, anytime she is able to she grabs hold of my nip in her little baby claws and just snatches it. It hurts like a mfer and I have to gently pry her little raccoon paws off the nip. I'm talking nip in the palm of her hand, fingers wrapped around the boob like she's trying to rip it off. No interest in feeding from them but she sure is fascinated by tearing them off like removing a cupcake topper. Anyone else's LO have a weird nip relationship?

This is even harder than I expected. TF journey really is something else.... I still stand by the strong assertion that it is still the most fantastic blessing one could hope for. It's definitely very challenging, but the path to Heaven/enlightenment (for everyone) is through the flames. You can't go up without first going down (no rebirth without the death). Every soul will have to do this eventually. And TFs just massively, massively accelerate that process. Meaning, it's more difficult and hurts more initially, but you make it through the flames of suffering far quicker and reach much higher states of consciousness and vibration much sooner.
My own journey is evidence of that. I was broken many times by you and endured unbearable heartbreak and blah blah. I also had massive flare-ups of my shadow in the beginning. But because of that, instead of taking decades to progress a few steps, I shot up to this extremely high and rare state of consciousness/awakening at break-neck, unheard of speeds. Just 4 years into this journey and I can already say all the suffering and difficulties were totally worth it to have reached the state I'm at now. And because of that, I'm extremely grateful for every moment of it.

Rejection from literally anyone else in the world is so easy to brush off, so I wouldn't really fear anyone else. But with you, there's that otherwordly soul connection that brings the deepest and strangest connection I've ever felt with anyone. Rejection from you isn't something I can just brush off. I know it will hurt. Which is fine, because it's always just another opportunity to heal a samskara. But it's never fun and stings everytime I even get a hint of it from you. It makes me feel like such a baby, but again, this only happens with you. And the great news is each time this happens, I remove another layer of that negative emotion permanently from my system--though there will likely be many more layers to go lol.
Once much of that fear was transmuted, and I thought I might be ready to connect, the intense soul longing for you arose. And then frustration for this complicated situation that we're in and the inability to just connect with you normally and not just in this weird, superficial way through a public gaming streaming platform. And then hopelessness of feeling like this is pointless and I'm not gonna be able to form a deep/meaningful connection with you given the extreme limitations of our communication, and that this is probably just going to end up the same way, with me falling back into chasing you and you continuing to cling to Ethan, and then HS pulling the plug and forcing me to walk away for good.
But then I snapped out of it. While describing this sounds like I was in some debby downward emo spiral, these kinds of thoughts don't last very long before I recognize that I'm caught in ego consciousness and "wake up" again. Then the thoughts fall away, I go into higher consciousness and begin transmuting. The thoughts aren't ever able to drag me down to really low/negative states. It's just in this case, so many different things kept arising one after the other. While unpleasant, this was still pretty manageable. But then that intense soul longing and sorrow came up, and that was a tough one.
Normally when negative emotions arise, I am able to transmute them fairly quickly. But the soul longing/sorrow that arose today was a huge one. My soul was in such desperate, intense longing for your soul. Wave after wave after wave kept arising, and I had to go lie in my bed and go into deep meditation for hours transmuting. It's the first time since HS awakening that something like this has happened and that I haven't been able to fairly quickly heal samskaras.
The thought did arise, "God, this sucks. I don't wanna do this anymore. I just wanna go back (run away) to my peaceful non-TF journey where things are so much easier and simpler...." That thought almost immediately was recognized as bullshit. Because that would imply abandonding my beloved to her Hellish fate, which I would never do so long as there's a chance of helping. And even on a selfish note, this is the crap that needs to come up to be healed because this is the crap that's keeping me from my bliss and ascension. So I'm very blessed to have this opportunity through our connection.
I also reminded myself that I shouldn't get attached to you or the idea of Union. This again is becoming more difficult as the soul love grows. But I need to stay open so I don't obstruct HS from acting through this person for our highest good. So I won't say, "I miss you, I'm sorry I couldn't spend time with you during your stream today, and I wish we could connect more." But I will say that I love you always.
tldr; we probably both needed space today. And if I wasn't such a zomgAwak3ndB_ing, I might say something like, "I miss you like the sun misses the flowers in the depths of winter; instead of beauty to direct its light to, the heart hardens like the frozen world which your absence has banished me to."

2023.06.03 12:41 lm1670 Welcome to the family, Fred!

Fred was adopted from the Parkersburg Humane Society and is a bottle baby, which means he loves to be loved on and is very trusting of humans. Today, he is 10-weeks old. His brother, Willy, took to him immediately and has enjoyed policing him around while teaching him how to cat. I absolutely love this little fluff and can’t wait for him to evolve into the majestic lion that he will soon be. 🧡🧡🧡 submitted by lm1670 to orangecats [link] [comments]
2023.06.03 12:39 JacksonXIX [Xbox] [H] 866 Bunny Ear Toppers [W] To find them a new owner for 20k credits :)
Bunny Ears came out in 2017 and were available for less than a month before being removed (Mar. 22 - Apr. 17) and i’ve been collecting ever since!
I think its time they find a new home now though as i don’t ever trade anymore and i rarely play the game as it is. This collection is pretty much my baby at this point and 20k seems fair for both sides imo.

2023.06.03 12:39 Resident1567899 A Hybrid Leibniz-Duns Scotus PSR Argument for the Classical Theistic God (with stage 2 of course)
Time for something new. I've been thinking for a while about this argument so I though I'd post it here. This is not a comprehensive argument though. This argument was inspired by Leibniz and Duns Scotus hence the name. The purpose is to garner possible rebuttals and objections so I can better improve it in my study. This argument concerns stage 1 and stage 2. However, this post doesn't concern about which religion, it is only to prove the classical theistic god. Arguments about which religion are true use prophecies, miracles, etc...are beyond this post and will be ignored and downvoted.
(1) At least one contingent fact exists call it C
Should be relatively uncontroversial. By contingency, I mean in need of explanation/reason. I use explanation and reason interchangeably, they mean the same thing. By fact, I mean a proposition be it a human, animal, event, object, thing, etc...If you reject premise 1, then what do you classify all the objects around us? What's your metaphysical system then?
(2) Every contingent fact requires a sufficient reason
This invokes the Principle of Sufficient Reason (PSR) formulated by Leibniz and improved upon by Alexander Pruss. I'll give a few evidence, proofs and reasons to believe in it.
First, our entire scientific system and academic learning depends on being inquisitive and asking "why?" Asking this very question lead us to discover revolutionary scientific theories. Rejecting the PSR implies we shouldn't ask why nature is the way it is, in effect, stopping scientific progress,
Second, suppose we have a phenomenon and several plausible explanations. We then reasonably assume that the best of these explanations is probably the right one, at least if it is significantly better than the runner-up. We need a reason to choose the best one which is where the PSR comes in. Rejecting this leads to confusion and in-decision over which explanation is the best.
Third, PSR gives us support and grounding. If the PSR is false, what claim do we have to believe your life is not a simulation, that everything is just a dream. We need reason as our foundation for literally everything,
Fourth, a companions in guilt argument. If the law of excluded middle (LEM) is self-evident as a logical law, then why the PSR, the principle of reason itself should not?
Five, intuition. Humans are born with the capacity to reason and find the best explanation. Even babies do reasoning. No human lives without having the desire to find reason and explanation.
Six, rejecting the PSR is self-defeating. To reject the PSR, you'd need a sufficient reason itself why it's false which is literally what the PSR is. Here's a more comprehensive defense of the PSR
(3) So, C requires a sufficient reason
This just logically follows from (1) and (2)
(4) Either the sufficient reason for C comes from being necessary, by itself, by being a brute fact or from another being
These are four options I could think of. I know of no other options beside these four.
(5) Not from being necessary since C is contingent
This is leads to a contradiction. An object can't be both necessary and contingent at the same time.
(6) Not from itself since circular reasoning is impossible
Example, stating the reason for me being born is because of myself is plainly wrong. A sufficient reason would be something like my mother being pregnant, etc...Another example of why this cup exists. It would be wrong and absurd to say because it exists since this explains nothing. A better reason would be because I created it. It has to be something other than itself and external.
(7) Not by being a brute fact since a brute fact has no reason/lacking a reason
Another contradiction. We've already defined C as being contingent and requiring a sufficient reason in (1) and (2). An object can't be both requiring a reason and yet has no reason/lacking reason, a contradiction.
A second problem is it's discriminatory. Why is only C a brute fact and not other contingent facts? Stuff like humans, dogs, cats, Beethoven, etc...? Why only C? Why can't all those other contingent facts also don't require a reason, i.e. being a brute fact? Why only one?
(8) So, it has to come from another being
By process of elimination, we arrive at the only non-contradictory option
(9) If it comes from another contingent being, then that being also needs a reason from another being and it is also contingent, then so on ad infinitum...
This just a simple inference. If it's contingent, then it still requires another source. I'll address infinity below.
(10) A infinite chain of explanations is not a sufficient explanation
This was proposed by Rowe and Pruss. I'll use Pruss' cannonball example. If we say the reason the cannonball is at t9 is because it was at t8 and so on...we haven't explain why the cannonball was launched itself. A sufficient reason would be because a soldier fired it. Another example, there are 7 Eskimos in New York City. Eskimo 1 is at street A, another Eskimo 2 is at street B,...until Eskimo 7 at street G. It's no good to explain why Eskimo 2 at street B is because of Eskimo 1 at street A and why Eskimo 7 is at street G is because of the prior Eskimo. We still haven't explain why there are Eskimos in the first place in NYC. A sufficient reason is because those 7 Eskimos are visting NYC on a field trip.
(11) So, it must come from a being of Pure Reason (BPR)
Meaning a being who's reason is himself i.e. a necessary being. Here ends stage 1 and begins stage 2.
(12) Reason is the result of intelligence and free will
Example, a rock can't reason or have intelligence and other examples. Only beings with intelligence and free will to think can create reason and do reasoning. Unlike the Kalam where a natural being is sufficient, on the PSR argument, a natural option is not.
(13) So, this being can't be a natural being and must be a being of intelligence and free will
Follows from (12)
(14) This being must be singular since necessary propositions and reason would be contradictory
Example of a necessary proposition is 2+2=4. If there were multiple BPRs, then 2+2=4 is correct but so is 2+2=5. Both can't be true at the same time. If anyone answers, both beings can reconcile each other, I do not believe God can violate logic itself. I defined omniscience as being maximally knowledgeable. There are somethings God can't do.
(15) This being must be omniscience
This just follows that the source must be omniscience i.e. being maximally knowledgeable
(16) This being must be omnipotent
Only an omnipotent being would have the power to create all the logic and reason in the world (by world I mean a totality)
(17) This being is singular, has free will, has omnipotence and omniscience
Follows from the previous premises
(18) Therefore, this is what we call the classical theistic God
Follows as the conclusion. I take the classical theistic God to mean being singular, having free will, omnipotent and omniscience
(19), Therefore, the classical theistic God exists
Recap of the argument: (1) At least one contingent fact exists call it C (2) Every contingent fact requires a sufficient reason (3) So, C requires a sufficient reason (4) Either the sufficient reason for C comes from being necessary, by itself, by being a brute fact or from another being (5) Not from being necessary since C is contingent (6) Not from itself since circular reasoning is impossible (7) Not by being a brute fact since a brute fact has no reason/lacking a reason (8) So, it has to come from another being (9) If it comes from another contingent being, then that being also needs a reason from another being and it is also contingent, then so on ad infinitum... (10) A infinite chain of explanations is not a sufficient explanation (11) So, it must come from a being of Pure Reason (BPR) (12) Reason is the result of intelligence and free will (13) So, this being can't be a natural being and must be a being of intelligence and free will (14) This being must be singular since necessary logic and reason would be contradictory (15) This being must be omniscience (16) This being must be omnipotent (17) This being is singular, has free will, has omnipotence and omniscience (18) Therefore, this is what we call the classical theistic God (19), Therefore, the classical theistic God exists
Now, I do not believe in this argument. I have my own rebuttals and objections but I'd like to see some new objections against this argument. This seems a better argument than the Kalam since it argues for both stage 1 and stage 2.
And if stage 2 fails, we still have stage 1. I think if stage 1 succeeds that'll be a much better argument than say the Kalam which already fails stage 1.

2023.06.03 12:36 MortalJupiter Anyway I can help my baby?
| || |
I was given this lovely baby for free from a florist a few years ago because the main stem had snapped at the top. I highly doubt it will be able to grow again in the middle just like a regular plant when the main stem is cut and then it branches out but I can’t find any solid advice online to clarify or if I could cut one of the side pieces off that is thick enough and cut them both flat and have them graft onto each other? submitted by MortalJupiter to cactus [link] [comments]
Or is it a complete loss?
Thank you for your time
2023.06.03 12:35 Vito-53 Banning veo scooters
Think I've seen posts on here before about these little turds, but does anyone agree that they should be banned? I know I've seen European cities do the same thing for the exact reason that they should be banned here; which is that they're dumped on sidewalks, in roads, and on random corners where they don't belong. Heck, people even dump them on rio road in the bends sometimes. Anyone else share these same feelings about them? I don't want to seem harsh as pedestrian transportation that isn't walking is nice, but it's out of hand when you constantly have to navigate around these things on narrow side walks (especially for mothers and father's who use baby strollers).

2023.06.03 12:34 MissKatbow What water should I give my baby when staying somewhere with softened water?
I’m staying with my SIL and they have a water softener. It seems not safe for LO (10 months) to drink because of the salt content. I don’t love bottled water either because I worry about micro plastics and don’t like the waste. We’re staying for a week so I’m wondering if that’s a short enough thing where the softened water would be fine for her or if I should do something else. What water would you give your baby?

Just feeling frustrated that my baby isn't home with me yet. I don't know their protocol with low birth weight and low sugar but lately ive been thinking they could also just raising the bar too much and my baby is getting Unrealistic expectations.
My friend who is in similar situation who is in different hospital was able to bring her baby home in 2 days. My baby is in RPA for a week now, it's so frustrating.

2023.06.03 12:32 RickyInfinite What to do with typological slander? *Anger + Triggering*
Typological slander most likely has to do with stereotypes as a whole as, stereotype basically composed something a community of "typology haters".
Well it may not be a big issue since it's a just name calling by the end of the day, right? but it happen all the time - and not many seemed to have rant or complain about it specifically.
I think judging someone by his or her typology or typological placement is extremely rude LOOK, as human everyone has flaws but it is totally unfair to some types - like some types got spoiled like a baby some types got harass like a damn bitch - I'd notice that 8s,4s,2s, and some subtypes of 6s got dissed, mocked, and name called a lot LIKE THIS IS JUST NOT FAIR, we're all human we're all equal, slandering is like school bullying in my opinion.
Like, This happened again and again within typology community(both online and irl) and had lead to people to hate typology community as a whole, like this is disgusting this is evil!
This even lead to some cases like people hating their typology, well for me I don't necessarily hated been a Sx4 but the thing I hated the most is about the stereotype such as people think that I am some sorta emo, difficult person, crybaby just because I am a 4. LIKE FXCK EM!
Or if we really have flaws it's also not right to judge us, cause ALL HUMAN HAVE FLAWS, FACT!!!
